it is not just the addons, they clearly said "mainly" and @Peanits confirmed it, so something else will be changed.

As for spirit, that's the next target for survivors, wait until nurse is nerfed and you will see threads about spirit, I can bet on that.

They have found the formula to get nerfs

1: dc a lot when they see the killer

2: use the magic words "no counterplay"

    3: open threads and videos

    4: repeat until you win

Dude, survivors main already complain a lot about Spirit and make threads about her, but devs didn't listen to them, they need to complain 3 years to finally change The Nurse and even killers mains said that some of her add-ons were too strong and needed changes, also they said they want to change slightly her base kit, so she might not be nerfed that hard after all.

  • Add-ons rework for Nurse was needed, some of her add-ons were too strong and the other add-ons were completley useless.

Also, devs said they don't want to change Spirit at the moment. She is safe for now.

  • @Tursam said:

I don't see any word from bhvr specifically saying "nerf", for all we know it could be nerfing add-ons but buffing her base power so she's less reliant on them.

    Just saying.

    Nurse isn't reliant on add-ons, ######### ?

Learn Hag, she has even more map pressure and control then Spirit has. Plus she can use one shot perks like Haunted Grounds, Make Your Choice to near silly levels of hilarit

Well, both have similar chase and map pressure, Spirit is better because she doesn't get screwed as hard by SWF teams and she has better add-ons.

The age of Nurse mains is over. The Age of the Billy has COME.

Dun, Dun, DUN, Dunnnn the dunnnn dun dun

Don't worry, after Nurse and Doc, they want to look at chainsaw boys, so Billy doesn't get away.

Coldwind Farm maps offering ? Do you really like playing Billy on Thompson House or Rancid Abbatoir ? Because Billy can be looped pretty hard even on these maps, not everytime you are lucky and gets Rotten Fields.

you still lose one add-on slot.

I don't like restrictions. I rather have a choice and flexibility how I can play.

Well, majority of Freddy add-ons even aren't worth using.

  • Infectious Fright new meta on Billy 😁.

They nerfed Myers by making him only stalk one person at a time, if they reverted that nerf he would be better. Theyve nerfed him quietly over the years and most havent noticed, shortened his stalk length sometime this year etc,...

The last thing was a bug and it was fixed in this patch.

I mean old Legion. There were indeed killer mains saying he needs to be nerfed.

Killer mains said Legion needed a rework, not a nerf, because Legion was very weak unless moonwalking or Frank's Mix Tape were involved, without these things he was low tier. Instead of just fixing his exploits and broken add-ons, they overnerfed his Feral Frenzy. I don't see any reason for his Frenzy speed or vault speed to be slower when he even can't down survivors anymore with it. Also, devs were very lazy about his add-ons, now 80% of them are trash.

    @RakimSockem

Agreed, I think most of her addons suck. But what makes me curious is they are touching her base kit and its not a rework leading me to think it'll be on a CD

Nurse is slower than survivors, she can't have a cooldown on her power unless her speed is increased to 110% at least.

  • @Benzinjiq said:

How about we ever so slightly change the survivor from holding m1 to running in circles to something more interesting amd perhaps even require skill?

Of course lets butcher the only killer playable in red ranks

Nurse isn't the only killer playable in red ranks, for God sake.

Care to elaborate that "unanimously" part? If this turns out to be another "unanimously amongst Survivor mains", then you better be prepared for a big s-storm.

I'm all for tweaking her Add-ons, some of them are quite problematic, but leave the Nurse herself alone.

Actually, even most of the killers mains said that range and extra blinks add-ons are too powerful, but base kit Nurse is fine.

Which would make it more balanced. A single survivor should not have a 50/50 chance against the killer, that's absurd.

    Agree.

@thesuicidefox I dunno, I’m just tired of hearing people complain over and over again about strong killers (specifically Nurse and Spirit) having no counters.

A survivor already has SOME indication of where the Spirit is due to crows, footsteps, and a loud ass whooshing sound outside of the terror radius. It’s like they want to know exactly where she is pinpoint.

I’ve had survivors who knew exactly what to do and lead me on a chase for a good amount of time and I’m not a bad Spirit either. I consistently 3-4K at any rank. Counterplay does not equal looping a killer for four generators.

I don’t have an issue with counterplay but what people have mentioned would literally destroy the killer and make them unviable. It’s just annoying to hear people complain so much, ya know?

Some people just can't handle the fact that not all killers are just some toys who can be looped all day long and who have stupid counters ( looking at you Ghost Face )

  • @Orion said:

Let's say you're completely right. Say it's a 50/50. All this means is that there's a 50% chance the Spirit will lose. In other words, you have a chance during a chase.

I would say Spirit has a higher chance when Iron Will isn't involved, IMO.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

So there will be changes to Nurse's base kit. I'm worried that after the changes she won't be playable anymore without add-ons.

@Peanits said that they gonna slightly change her base kit, so she still should be playable without add-ons, just not as strong as before.

  • Pig is definitely better than Trapper.

  • Barbecue and Chilli already has several counters. You can play around it pretty easily. It doesn't need a nerf.

I think I underestimated Doctor and Plague maybe. Doctor definitely but I still think that Plague gets hurt alot. I played some Doctor games where I stopped certain loops which other Killers couldn't have stopped.

The problem is that he is inconsistent. His shocks don't block windows sometimes when it should've blocked them. Maybe I'd switch Legion with Doctor and Plague with Wraith. I think that I was to confident in Legion's abilty while he has no anti loop mechanic. I still have good games with him but I think he isn't that great.

Plague can be really good with certain add-ons. Her base kit is lacking ( but that's viable for majority of the killers ), but with green or above add-ons she becomes a monster. Just Black Incense is insane, combine it with an Apple and she is gonna rekt that team. Even Iridescent Seal isn't bad and can be used to surprise survivors. Her effectiveness and cooldown add-ons are really good, her charge time add-on is also decent. I think she deserve to be a tier higher. Also, I think Clown and Cannibal should be lower.

Spirit is underrated? Didn't hear that for a long time. If played right, she can't be looped in any way while Freddy is still an basic M1 Killer with some extras. Huntress got her recent buff where it's hard to judge from which direction she is coming, and the same with her. If played right she can be badass, unfortunately most people play her wrong and get looped easily.

Well even a good Huntress can get looped depending on the map ( Coldwind Farm, Family Residence, Grim Pantry and Haddonfield are really bad for her ), but I still think she is worth top 5. A really good Huntress on a decent map is really scary to verse.

Definitely better. I think snares could have more potential if the Block Addons were changed.

Brown Block Addons gives Blindness for 120 seconds

Yellow Block: Exhaustion for 30 seconds

Green Block: Extra Hindered Effect like Flask of Bleach

Purple: Increases Hindered duration by 1 or 1.5 seconds.

That's how I'd change the Block addons to just buff snares. I think snares have potential, they're just hard to use and I have to find out how. Pallets are defintely more fun but I like the snares because they're a bit more skillful

I like your tier list, especially the first 2 tiers. I disagree with some placements, but very good list overall.

Yeah, they should change Block add-ons, they are garbage now.

Except that they are full of ######### because I've tested this myself extensively. SHE DOES NOT MAKE GRASS MOVE. Not during phase walk. Post phase walk =/= phase walk and that's exactly what that is. Either the grass moved because it was post phase walk or because that's the exact spot where the Kate was standing when the Spirit also walked in the same spot.

Also it doesn't matter if she had MDR because she most likely would have gone in a straight line to him. And even if she came from the pallet, there is grass in that direction too which also did not move. The grass only moved directly where the Kate was in the near exact moment when she appeared on the screen.

Unless you show me a video of you (or someone else) in KYF game where the Spirit is literally running circles around them in phase walk, you can't convince me she moves grass BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T. She just doesn't. You can pretend she does all you want, but she doesn't.

And I'm telling you this to help you play better against a Spirit. If you are running around thinking she can move grass and then she suddenly appears right next to you, you will get hit. If you realize she doesn't move grass and change your tactics you can decrease the chance you would get hit.

Well, if you keep offending people, no reason in disscussing with you.

Who said I can't play against Spirit ? I never claimed she doesn't have counter play or that perks aren't counter play ( without Iron Will is really hard to almost impossible to evade a really good Spirit ).

"Not looking at survivors counters Spine Chill" yea but it's very difficult to do. Also just realizing a survivor has Spine Chill is difficult. Iron Will at least has a dead giveaway that you won't hear them even when you are right behind them.

Those add-ons do counter Calm Spirit, but if you just stay in Madness 3 he can never find you unless he also sees the Doc illusions.

Scratched Mirror Myers is super easy to beat because he is slow and can't get bloodlust. So you run to any decent loop and infinite him. If you don't see him, just assume that he is nearby, you can usually find a spot on any map where it would be impossible for him to come toward you without you physically seeing him. Also Calm Spirit soft counters SM Myers because he still disturbs crows. So if you run Calm Spirit then suddenly hear crows going off near you and it's SM Myers, just start running. It could be another survivor but if you have Bond or are in an SWF you can eliminate that problem easy.

You know that if you stay in Madness 3 you can't do gens, right ? Also, I never said Scratched Mirror Myers isn't easy to beat, I said it counters Spine Chill.

No the other grass didn't move because she doesn't make grass move. She was coming from his far right. There is absolutely no way she was able to get right behind him without making ANY other blade of grass move. And it only moves a split second before she appears on screen, which means she was ending her phase walk and was in a post phase state. If she did make grass move you would have seen an invisible thing push through all that grass around him. That didn't happen in the video. The grass moves and literally frames later she appears on screen. That is post phase walk NOT phase walk.

Go try it I'm telling you she does not make grass move. Try it, stand in some grass and have your friend walk around you as Spirit. It won't move. IDGAF what people on Reddit tell you, they are full of #########. I've tested this extensively, grass/corn does not move. You are welcome to make your own video where you prove me wrong.

1 That Spirit had Mother Daughter Ring, she could make that distance. Even when she appeared, it was clear that she came from the pallet, that's why the other grass didn't move. She was still phasing because she was still invisible.

2 This is again is not the only video where I saw grass moved by a invisible Spirit, but it was the most recent one.

3 I like you call people "full of #########" even if you don't know anything about them. Not all people from Reddit are Omega survivors biased, there are also nice people who actually know something about balance. So practically you said you are the only one right and the other are wrong, right ?

4 I don't need to test anything in KYF when I saw it happening in game and other people did as well.

    @thesuicidefox said:

@NuclearBurrito Yea I didn't read the whole thread, just the OP and the Saireks comment actually.

My point with Iron Will/Spine Chill is that there is really nothing wrong with using a perk to counter a killer, yet people say "that's not a counter".

First, IW/SC are both good perks against EVERY killer, so there is no reason to say "why should I have to run THESE perks" when you get a lot of value from them no matter what.

Second, IW/SC counter Spirit hard. VERY HARD. So hard in fact that if you suck at playing against Spirit they will automatically bump you up to "not suck at playing against Spirit". It's such a drastic counter that you seriously can't just ignore their impact versus her. Just Iron Will will immediately make you so much harder to track for Spirits, even if you're not even that good.

Third, Calm Spirit. No one ever runs this perk because it's only major value is against a Doc. But guess what? It completely destroys him. Doc's whole shtick is that he is impossible to stealth as his power is made to find you super easy. Take that away from him and it completely changes how you play against this killer. I personally HATE Doc and therefore Calm Spirit is one of my favorite perks. I had been running it for a while, SPECIFICALLY TO COUNTER DOCS, and only recently took it off because I just haven't been seeing as many of them lately. But every time I do, I curse out the game because I don't have Calm Spirit on. But that's not the game's fault, that's my fault for not taking the extra precaution. Now I'm stuck having to try harder to counter this killer. Same goes for Spirit. You will need to work more for it if you don't run IW/SC, so if you really don't want that just equip those perks and you're set.

So the whole idea of "you shouldn't need perks to counter a killer" is bull #########. If you don't like a certain killer, you can easily equip perks to counter them. And when those perks are useful against other killers (or meta in the case of IW) then there is no excuse to not use them honestly. If you don't then you are just being stubborn.

PS. And yes I've seen that video before. I'm actually OG Smash Melee player. M2K got his start at my tournaments and I actually know him personally, though we haven't really spoken to or seen each other in years. I know a lot of the OG players and I am part of the reason the Smash community is where it is today because I was one of the biggest monthly tournaments on east coast. Hell I invented a lot of Fox's tech. Short hop double laser. Multi-shine. Shine grabs. Shine upsmash. No one did that until I started to do it, and even then no one did it because it was deemed flashy and unnecessary (this was many years ago before Brawl even came out, the average skill of players was no where to the point it is now, and because of that none of these techniques were useful because you just didn't need them). If you don't believe me ask around the Smash community about me. New players won't know me, but anyone that is OG like M2k will know exactly who I am. I was also a member of the back room and part of the elite, I helped draft Melee community rules and all that. I left the community shortly after Brawl because that game is just total ass. I'm actually very happy that Melee had a revival, and Ultimate looks very promising for the future of Smash.

Well, Stridor counters Iron Will and not looking directly at the survivor counters Spine Chill. Plus, Doctor has specific add-ons to show auras when Madness tier up and these add-ons counter Calm Spirit. Also, Iron Will is garbage against Plague and Spine Chill doesn't work against Scratched Mirror Myers.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

Well at the very least the video DID show him not falling for a spirit standing still. So, progress I suppose.

The Spirit just ended her power, it was obvious she is on cooldown, nobody not rank 20 would fall for that.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/596277#Comment_596277

The grass moved because she came out of phase walk for a lunge. If you notice, NONE of the other grass moves at all, which it should have considering the direction she was approaching from. So when that grass moved she was basically not in phase walk, she was in post phase walk lunge. That's not the same thing.

Try it in KYF on a corn map or near grass. Pick survivor, stand still in the corn/grass and have your Spirit friend phase walk around you. Nothing will move.

The Spirit was still phasing, she appeared just after grass moved. She was still in the ethereal plane when grass moved and the other grass didn't moved because she came from behind. Also, this is not the only video I saw Spirit moving grass, but I am not gonna to look for every video now. Also, I asked people from Reddit if they saw a phasing Spirit moving grass. I asked them specifically if they saw grass/corn/bamboo moved by a phasing Spirit and they said they did, and it wasn't one, it was several people who told me that. I don't think several people lie, especially when they have no reason to.

Actually this is not true. Grass/corn does not move when she phase walks. It was never a thing. This is just a serious case of Mandela effect in action, and I think it's because of old Freddy as he WOULD make grass/corn move while you were awake.

You are actually wrong, she indeed moves grass and corn while phasing, I have video proof.
