  • Spirit Fury needs 2 perks slots to be effective ( unlike old MoM, which was effective by its own ) and survivors can just drop pallets earlier to counter your both perk slots. I see no reason for it to be nerfed.

  • I still consider him weaker than Myers and Pig.

And I think his cooldown at base should be buffed, 30 seconds is too much, especially for such buggy power.

  • White Ward clealry says that it protects your item in case you die, and dropping the item because of Franklin's Demise isn't dying.

  • The buff makes her to have control over these mind games and not to be easily counterable.

  • Huntress would'nt be OP with 115% speed.

  • You need an ultra rare add-on to see blood while phasing as Spirit + you can level up Wraith for the perk if you really want it.

And dude, how the [BAD WORD] you don't know how much is 6-2, you should know that from ... kindergarten.

Ranking up with legion is not easy, ahah.

Good billies cannot be looped,he has a chainsaw that can force you to drop pallets earlier and destroy them immediately.

I saw plenty of good Billies getting looped.

And ranking up witg Legion is easy, you even don't need to kill everyone to get pips as Legion because of how is power work, I saw Legions getting 1 kill and still piped in red ranks.

Yeah I get where your coming from and I 100% respect your opinion and appreciate the feedback but if a perk is JUST OK or WORST doesn’t mean I think there bad it just means it doesn’t fit my play style ( which is protecting or stalling gens) or I don’t use them as much but I still think they have usefulness.

Shadowborn I don’t notice that difference that much (unless I’m playing Michael or GF) and I find more use for Predator because I usually follow scratch marks.

Stridor I don’t really use as much but I’m willing to reconsider that.

I’m still at green ranks ( I know I’m not that good at the game) so Overcharge works for me but if I get to higher ranks I’ll reconsider that choice

For the Spirits perks when I was updating this list I meant to update my ranking of her perks to BEST: Spirit Fury, JUST OK: Hex: Haunted Ground, WORST: Ranchor; but I forgot to do that, so that’s my bad.

As for Corrupt Intervention, again I prioritize slowing gen progression over most things and when I use Infectious Fright survivors always seem out of range so it rarely works for me.

But Corrupt Intervention doesn't slow gens down, it just block 3 gens, force survivors to spread out ( which is a bad thing ) and do the other 4 gens without any problems in that time.

Yeah you got it mixed up, her glass doesn't shine, not at all. If the Spirit has the default, frosty eyes or bloody head piece, her hair physics reset when she begins to phase. Easily countered by wearing any other head piece though.

I saw a video with her glasses starting to shine after she starts phasing. I never saw that anything related to her hair.

Do you play on console? or otherwise you must live in another dimension, either way i'm not going to argue with you over this topic, if you really thing that landing billy's saw is hard, maybe you ain't the right person to talk about balance, no offense

No, I am talking about PC. Who knows, maybe you aren't the right person.

  • That guy probably killed a overly altruistic SWF team with that build and now he thinks that this build is so OP and Clown is actually a strong killer. I'm telling you, that's not the case. We have a useless perk ( Fire Up ), a overrated perk ( Discordance ) and 2 tracking perks ( BBQ and I'm All Ears ). Any of these perks slows the game, which is Clown's ( and all killers for that matter ) biggest problem, so against a good SWF team ( or just a good group of survivors ), I don't see him getting more than 2 hooks with that build.

  • @Raven014 said:

Gotta disagree with a few of these:

Shadowborn can be decent. Especially for killers who need good eyesight. You have to to be able to use this perk.

Lightborn: Surprisingly useful, especially at high ranks, where you can just expect one ultra rare insta-blind flashlight.

Stridor raises the volume for all survivor breathing, not just for when they're injured. You might be able to realize someone's there when you wouldn't otherwise.

Devour Hope, when it gets going, oh man is it good.

You'd be surprised how many times I catch people with M&A... they just do not expect the shorter red stain and TR.

Overcharge only works on Green to white ranks. It backfires everywhere else.

PWYF can be very good on certain killers, such as wraith or tombstone myers.

Bloodwarden is garbage. Most of the time, you can't make it work, and the other times... nope, you really can't make it work with how many adrenaline survivors there are. Not without NOED, and even then it's unlikely you'll be able to do anything.

Remember me used to be good, then they changed the token max to four and lowered it to 12 seconds. I remember 6 stacks and 20 seconds. You could get things done. : D

Hangman's trick is bugged, so it doesn't even work properly.

Haunted ground is such a roulette wheel. If you can get downs, then it can work, but it can be broken immediately and you find no-one.

Spirit fury is the current best of her perks.

Rancor is just an obsession mori. That's it.

Huntress' Lullaby isn't that great at higher ranks, it's almost a worthless slot. Especially if destroyed before 5 hooks.

Beast of Prey losing your Red Stain is a big deal, but nobody seems to care. If M&A can trip people up with a smaller Red Stain, then removing it can be very confusing. However, this really only works better at mid ranks, who understand the red stain's importance, but aren't quite good at mindgames yet.

I've been running Mad Grit way more. Then again, I use the Agitation, Iron Grasp, Mad Grit, and NOED combo so I can down people really quickly in endgame. It's really satisfying...

Iron Maiden is good at locating people, but not at much else. Especially when you run BBQ.

I've seen Infectious Fright used well, so it's not really a mid tier perk.

Corrupt only lasts the first 120 seconds of the match, making it wasted if you don't catch anyone in that time.

I haven't played enough with GF's perks to make any good judgements, I'd like to see the cooldown for I'm all ears reduced by a lot.

Remember Me used to be 30 seconds at max stacks and now it's just 16 seconds.

Hangman's Trick isn't bugged, it's 40 seconds for hooks sabotaged with Saboteur, because Saboteur adds 30 seconds to the broken hooks.

  • Your videos proof just prooved that you are wrong 😄.

    Let me explain :

Nurse's default first blink range is 20 meters. Default second blink range is 12 meters.

With Catatonic Boy's Treasure, the range of the first blink is increased by 3 meters ( from 20 to 23 meters ).

With Ataxic Respiration, the range of the first blink is increased by 4 meters ( from 20 to 24 meters ).

So with both range range, the range of the first blink is increased by 7 meters ( from 20 to 27 meters ).

So yeah, these add-ons indeed stacks, same with speed add-ons for Spirit, same with wind up add-ons for Huntress and same with stalk add-ons for Myers. They all stack.

Survivors can counter her with the following:

Looking at her hair when she starts phasing (only works efficiently on default and bloody head piece)

Walking (yet she can still hear you piss easy)

Running from the loop (but if she was standing still she can just phase to you and still get a hit)

Hoping that her collision in phase (which in my personal opinion should definitely not be a thing) doesn't collide with you.

These "counterplays" can be countered very easily by the Spirit player and it doesn't take that much effort from the killer to do it.

Spirit is the biggest problem in this game (even more than Insta heals, mori's, keys, Adrenaline and NOED)

Hair ? I thought her glasses start shining when she's phasing, I didn't hear anything about her hair doing something when she's phasing.

  • @Atrushan88 said:

@Orion there are 3 other survivors not likely running aura reading(and if they're running OoO you can tell). Are you saying your stealth is immediately broken because ONE survivor out of 4 knows where you are? Also, again, as I've said. If they can see you, you can see them. OoO is a perk that has as much negative impact on the survivor as it does the killer. It's a double edged sword. If they can see you on the other side of a wall, you can also see them. If killers can automatically negate a perk's effects just for existing, survivors should have similar treatment. This is like BBQ or Nurse's Calling not finding immersed Claudettes.

@LordGlint Generally when I use Alert most is when they kick gens. They come to my gen, I hide, they kick the gen, and I can see which direction they're going so that I can go in the way they won't see me. Why would I need alert when they're breaking pallets outside of knowing they're in a chase?

Survivors can negate BBQ by existing, aka going in lockers.

  • @Atrushan88 said:

@LordGlint Except since Pigs and other "stealth" killers will know this, they will obviously use said abilities to counter those perks. Gonna kick a gen? Crouch then kick it. It doesn't take that long to crouch and you can pretty much crouch and kick the gen almost at the same time, and OoO will STILL be useless against any of these killers because it will be giving your location away for free while their location is hidden from you. Who would want a perk that would give your location away without giving you anything in return?

Oh and GhostFace will counter Alert pretty much 100% of the time unless he's hit someone or been knocked out of stealth. And usually in those situations he's in a chase anyways.

The perks already aren't amazing perks. They're somewhat useful, but not top tier perks or anything. This will push them down and people will pretty much run all the top tier perks all the time unless they're going with off meta builds(which probably still won't include aura reading).

Trust me, nobody will kick gens in stealth just for the sake of Alert, because almost nobody runs Alert anyway. It's like saying killers can just moon walk to avoid Spine Chill, but no one does that because Spine Chill isn't a meta perk.

  • @LordGlint said:

Ppl keep bringing up aura reading perks, but this might counter spinechill and premonition as well. If EW1 Myers is what they're basing this effect off of...

Spine Chill and Premonition aren't aura reading perks, so they shouldn't be affected by this change ...

You're lucky, haven't found those billys yet.

It is extremely easy to land, even against "competent survivors", if you really want to prove me that HB isn't op, find some counter arguments not like X thing doesn't work against good survivors, Its outdated.

I watch Billy mains and it's not easy at all to land chainsaw against good survivors, sorry to tell you. Theey mostt of the time even end land M1ing thess survivors, LOL.

If you say so have fun playing with those addons lul

    Ok, because they actually stack.

  • @GrootDude said:

    @Marcus I’ve likely trapped those.

I don't talk about Hag and Trapper, I talk about killers in general. Not every killer can counter these buildings/loops. Even Trapper can't, because his traps are #########.

  • @Atrushan88 said:

@Bravo0413 16. That means 1 in 4 and 2 of those are mid/high tier and used pretty much whenever Spirit/Nurse/Billy/Hag aren't. Why would I run any aura reading perk with a chance to make the killer see me without me seeing them too? That is a literal perk that will HELP the killer and HURT the survivor in those situations. GF is in stealth whenever he can be. It happens quite often and GF is never running up on survivors while his terror radius is out unless by accident. There used to be only 2 killers with this power and even then I was disappointed I brought Alert when I couldn't tell where they were. Name a killer perk that can just not work against a survivor. There isn't one unless it's a hex and it has to be dismantled by a survivor. Think about it. Survivors stopped healing when they nerfed self care. Now that they're nerfing aura reading they won't use that either. Aura reading was already not great for survivors. Now it can be straight up detrimental.

    Knock Out against SWF teams.

    A Nurse's Calling against that don't heal.

Discordance against survivors that don't stay together.

    Etc.

  • @GrootDude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/631005#Comment_631005

I was referring to hag and Trapper.

@Marcus those survivors just sound better than you.

Yes, when they loop me at unmindgameable loops and bullshit buildings, I get very outplayed by survivors. And if I leave a chase, other survivors can loop me into these areas too.

  • @switch said:

He is overpowered. Take a look at all killers in the game, clown has to reload his bottles, spirit has to wait for her power, ghostface has to wait for his power, huntress has finite amount of hatches, legion has to wait for his power.

Hillbilly has no cooldown on his power, and no 2 seconds its not cooldown, with uncommon addon you get that down to 0.

Having 1-shot the whole game, easy to land, and insane mobility is too good,

I think they shouldn't look into spirit, and instead remove billy's 1-shot, be is by far superior to any other killer besides nurse.

Billy's chainsaw isn't easy to land in competent survivors.

You don’t seem willing to listen, I explained these things but you still aren’t listening.

You said to abandon every chase if it lasts more than 30 seconds, but what if all survivors can stall ghe chase more than 30 seconds ? You can't abandon everyone.

  • Iridescent Heads + Infantry Belt > Redhead's Pinky Finger + anything > Iridescent Head alone.

  • @Exerlin said:

Sloppy is decent on her, but nurse's isn't really useful on her unless someone's healing in a dangerous area, like a corner of the map. That's been my experience with it anyway

Then try Infectious Fright with Monitor and Abuse for a slugging build maybe ?

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/630941#Comment_630941

Stridor is very useless. The chase music is so loud, you can hardly hear. Phasing lasts for more than 6 seconds and with Q&Q, Spirit will not know to stop phasing.

That is not true, I saw a lot of Spirits hearing over chase music just fine.

Phasing lasts just 5 seconds without duration add-ons and you can fake your phasing to see if they vault a window with Quick and Quiet.

  • @GrootDude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/630925#Comment_630925

A setup of course takes time but if you setup around certain gens then they won’t have nearly as much area to run. So killer actually being efficient=survivors are bad?

No wonder people think survivors are OP.

If you keep trapping gens as Hag, you gonna get hard countered by smart survivors and Urban Evasion users, so I'm telling you to change this strategy.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/630854#Comment_630854

Stridor helps but is useless if you are in a chase. I'm all Ears is situation and I've never heard of a Spirit running it since they can't see aura's while phasing.

They can see auras before or after phasing, the aura last for 6 seconds. Stridor isn't useless while in a chase.

  • Sorry, but are you drunk ? Literally all of these things, especially Omega Blink add-ons, stack ( the difference between Ataxic Respiration alone and used together with Catatonic is like day and night ). Same with movement speed add-ons for Spirit, they indeed stack and I don't need to test anything because I saw it by myself for multiple times.

I think this thread might be bait honestly.

just watch tru3 vs stronges japanese team or something like that

That team didn't seem God Tier to me. Even Tru3 made some mistakes in that match ( it wasn't needed to slug the old DS user 5 times, he had a great chance to get rid of DS when there were still 5 gens up ).

  • Shadowborn is at least better than Predator, Shadowborn is at least useful for Nurse and Huntress, Predator is worthless on literally anyone, even on Spirit.

    Stridor counters Iron Will.

Monitor and Abuse is better than Overcharge, Overcharge is useless against any decent survivor.

Spirit Fury isn't Spirit's worst perk, it's probably her best perk actually ( especially for loopable killers ).

Another person who overrates Corrupt Intervention, Jesus. Infectious Fright is better.

  • Why do people think that just SWF teams can rush the killer ? I saw solo survivors finish all gens in 4 minutes as well, it's not impossible at all.

  • @Exerlin said:

I tried running corrupt intervention as hag, but it hasn't been very useful. Ruin seems like an important part of her kit. Any suggestions for other perks to run? (I run PGTW, agitation, and BBQ, sometimes mad grit)

On Hag you can try this build : Ruin, A Nurse's Calling, Monitor and Abuse and Sloppy Butcher.

Survivors have perks that counter Spirit. Iron Will, Dance With Me, Lithe, Spine Chill, Q&Q ect ect.

And ? Spirit has perks that counter these perks like Stridor and I'm All Ears and other things like footsteps, collision, etc. I still didn't see a match between God Tier Spirit and God Tier survivors.

  • @Pulsar said:

That's simply not true. With Nurse? Maybe, but with Spirit? No.

  • @GrootDude said:

Also, at base ace in the hole +pluderers aren’t being used.

Still, you shouldn't be forced to run a specific perk just so you can counter a bullshit item or add-on, especially when you don't know if they are gonna be used.

  • @BenZ0 said:

    @Marcus

Infectious Fright is not on A because some killers really dont need or want to use this perk, for an example, Hag, Huntress (because of her small terror radius), Doctor, Legion and wraith. And these are alot of Killers that cant really make use of it compared to enduring, pop goes the genrush and bamboozle.

But i am happy you understand me^^

Some Hag mains I know told me that Infectious Fright is good on her combined with Monitor and Abuse. Huntress can do the same thing, combine with Monitor and Abuse and go for a slugging build ( especially because Huntress is a very good slugger ). IF deserves to be A tier much more than Bamboozle, Bamboozle is usually not needed and can be played around prety easily.

  • @GrootDude said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/630334#Comment_630334

It is a counter, you don’t seem to realize how hard it can be to keep up with sounds if survivors constantly change direction.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/630343#Comment_630343

Tunneling is the counter to keys, btw if we’re going by base game then these items aren’t even being used.

No, but Keys can be find in chests, even Instant Heals can be with Plunderer's Instinct + Ace In The Hole. Again, if you tunnel, you get D-Striked and gen rushed.

  • @Zixology said:

The addon would've only affected two of the players... XD

3 of them. 1 Sprint Burst, 1 Dead Hard and 1 Head On.

  • @BenZ0 said:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/291/Z9LQ0AICBRHA.png

For an example, this is what i would do.

Bbq is not that necessary on the most killer, but this tier list is about what perks are usable or good on overall the most killers (spirit and nurse does not count because they have a complete different gameplay compared to the most other killers).

So bbq is a good tracking perk that can apply alot of pressure on survivors, because you can track injured survivors that are far away and get them instantly back on the hook or try to find specific survivors that you want to kill fast because of (saboing hooks, last hook, a perk wants that just as dying light or others).

Brutal streangth is heavily underrated because ppl just think about faster pallet breaki thats it. With those 20% extra breaking speed you have a lower chance to lose a survivor, the survivor has shorter time to find a new save loop spot and you reduce the overall time of your chases and get rid of the pallets overall of the map faster. On killers like clown, doctor, myers, ghostface or plague that can down survivors really fast with there powers, this short extra time can mean ALOT.

I dont want to offend you but i have the feeling that you are a noed player and that means you overrate this perk because you feel more deadly and saver to get kills with it. But this is just a illusion that killers with low experince have.

Whispers has the same problem, many ppl overrate this perk because they feel that they have a esier time to find survivor but thats not true. With this perk killers start to loop closely around a specific area when the perk pops up, but actually if you think like a survivor then you know in which area you should look around and in which not. It depends on experience. Whispers is only good at finding the first and last survivor, but overall in the game it is mostly useless. You can replace wishpers with BBQ, discordence, surveillance and thrilling tremors. Whispers was a really good perk when dead by daylight was new, but now you have a ton of other good tracking perks.

ps: I have to mention that i made this in like 10min so some perks might not be 100% at the spot where i want it but this should be fine for now.

Bamboozle, Corrupt Intervention and Furtive Chase are too already. And Infectious Fright should be higher, it's good on any killer if you want to slug and it's deadly on Plague and Myers.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

OOO, NM, IW, Spine Chill. Play super immersed, don't even do gens.

Look at the killer to annoy them. NM + IW makes you completely silent and you leave no blood so there is no way to track you. SC let's you hide when the killer is nearby and helps you stay immersed. The fact you have NM and the killer can never find you but you keep revealing yourself will greatly upset them.

This build seems stupid against high mobility killers, they gonna find you anyway because of OOO. And you still levae scratch marks.

  • NOED on Cannibal. I don't care that he already has an instant down, because he is trash and NOED helps him to not get rekted too hard by good survivors and NOED also has counter play, so you can't call it a crutch on Cannibal.

  • @Peanits said:

Odds are, people would take a look at this and always vote for the maps with the highest survival rates while never voting for the ones that actually benefit them:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/611/0XKXFQYC0Y6U.jpg

(The farm maps are a little lower now that the walls are solid, this data is a little out of date.)

Overall, you would receive less variety because there would be a meta of maps to vote against. You could always bring an offering if you want a map that favours you more.

I can't believe Family Residence has a higher survival rate than Haddonfield.

I really like that map 😞.

  • Swap Monitor and Abuse for Surveillance and you have a good build right there. You can also use Thrilling Tremors instead of Barbecue and Chilli. Discordance is okish too, but it can be completely useless in some matches.

  • I actually change my mind, Balanced Landing + Haddonfield offering + 3 optional perks is the most annoying build in the game.

  • Decisive Strike, Deliverance, Head On and Adrenaline/Borrowed Time.

Just play normally? That is what I do.

If you need perks to counter something, that is not good game design. Especially when he have just 4 perk slots.

1 … 28 29 30 31 32 … 36
