Why this thread is still alive ? This game has bigger problems than this and someone already said that your problem is highly situational to happen. The killer needs to be Trapper, the totem needs to be in a very specific spot, survivors needs to not spawn on top of the totem and cleanse it before Trapper even gets there and Trapper will probably waste 2 gens just to find and place 3 traps to secure his Ruin.
Trapper is a garbage killer which is barely played, so your odds to verse him are low, same with the odds for the totem spot to be actually a decent one, majority of them are in the open or besides gens.
You complain about something which will happen in 1 out of 1000 games and yet you can still play around it by doing gens with Ruin active. You are not entitled to destroy every totem in every match, especially when it's not something like Devour Hope with 5 stacks.

You're speaking as if theres no solution and as if trapper is OP with totems which is not the case.... time to disarm 3 totems is maybe 15sec at the most, time to cleanse totem is like 16 seconds, they're tactics and such that you can use to overcome an actual challenge given by one of the mid tier killers.... I know that you know that trapper isnt that strong even after the buff...
Even mid tier is too generous for Trapper. Especially without add-ons, he has arguably the most lackluster base kit among all killers.

Undetectable will make Spine Chill same level as actual MoM. Another perk to the trash
Undetectable says it affects aura reading perks, Spine Chill isn't aura reading.

NOES is any totem active when 5 gens are done. And is indeed more easy, because you can choose the totem you wish. I don't know if could be the same totem for both, but probably yes.
No, the totem for Ruin doesn't become the totem for NOED, you need a dull totem to proc NOED.

@Bravo0413 K, so imagine GhostFace, Pig, Wraith, Spirit(assuming all 4 have this status effect) are the killer. Now OoO is a detriment to your entire team with no upside. because they know where you are, but you don't know where they are.
If it works against Spine Chill, now survivors will no longer be able to know Ghost Face is looking and if a GhostFace is hiding, it's a guaranteed chase cut in half. It doesn't take long to stalk while leaning. It's actually detrimental to even try breaking him out when he is leaning. This would make him so much stronger, again, if it works against Spine Chill, which it may not as it isn't "aura reading". Either way, there are several killers whose red stain is hidden, and are undetectable outside of aura reading or seeing them with your own eyes, and GhostFace for one is hard to spot quite often. Why would I run an aura reading perk when at LEAST 3(probably 4 since Spirit would probably have this exact status effect while phase walking as well) above decent killers have this potential to render your perks useless? If for example, I had DS/Adrenaline/Balanced Landing and Alert or something, I would potentially have a useless perk. Might as well go ahead and run Iron Will or Borrowed Time. Most aura reading for survivors are ######### The only good ones I can think of are Alert and OoO. With OoO having the potential to basically be detrimental to your survival, Alert would be the only good one and why bring a perk with potential uselessness over something more powerful? This is just weakening already bad perks.
You already can't see Spirit's aura while she's phasing, but she also can't see your aura while doing so.
-
Trapper wasted a half of his power just for his Ruin to last the whole match. I think that was a good trade, because now he is mostly a M1 killer which can be gen rushed and looped to hell ( and he could've been anyway even with traps ).

I'd like to see that statistic that shows 90% of Surviviors like to play against Billy more than Spirit.
I play both sides and Spirit is far easier to take advantage of than Billy.
Tomorrow I might make a thread where I ask everyone who they find easier to verse between these 2, if I will remember about it. But right now, survivors mains who I know call Spirit harder to verse.

So what? You mess up against Spirit you get hit. You mess up against Billy and u get hooked. There's a massive difference.
Billy and Spirit have been locked in this "who is better" war ever since Spirit got buffed. She's easier to loop than Billy is, since you have promised ways to force her to drop her power, which turns her into a 110 killer. Like I said before she cannot brute Force through a chase. She needs her power. Conversely Billy's is a luxury. Now that wouldn't be an issue if Spirits power had 100% no counterplay. But considering something as simple as vaulting a remotely safe window destroys her phasing entirely, I'd say it's an issue. You have a far easier time against Spirit than you do against Billy. That's not saying Spirit is a bad killer. But that IS saying she's not superior to Billy.
Then why 90% of survivor mains prefer to play against Billy than Spirit if you have a easier time against Spirit ? And Spirit being more loopable than Billy make my day π.
-
I saw some Plagues who made Iridescent Seal working by using it together with the other ultra rare, Black Incense. Also, I think you can use Iridescent Seal with Tinkerer or even Discordance for some funny plays, but I agree that this add-on is still pretty underwhelming and shouldn't have so many downsides.
Also, Plague has more useless add-ons, like the ones that increases the duration of Corrupt Purge or increases the movement speed while holding Corrupt Purge. I mean, you need a purple add-on to increase her Corrupt Purge duration with 8 seconds. 8 seconds ... for a ######### purple add-on ! Literally all her purple add-ons besides the effectiveness one are worthless.
-
Here is my advice when it comes to Spirit's add-ons :
Phasing add-ons are more gimmicky than anything. You can make survivors confused with them and get hits even without your power, but you usually want add-ons to make your phase walking stronger.
Power recovery are her weakest phase walking add-ons. They are still decent, but they are outclassed by duration add-ons.
Duration and speed add-ons are good, allow more map pressure and you can use your power in short bursts better ( and you want to use her power in short bursts, because if your cooldown is shorter if you do so ).
Charge time are her best add-ons, you don't waste time charging your power, so survivors can't get too much distance on you, and they can help you to catch survivors before they vault strong windows which counter your power, like the ones from Grim Pantry.
Reappearance add-ons are also very good, especially in combo with charge time add-ons. You can get easy hits with them and they can also help you to correct wrong phases.
Mother Daughter Ring is also extremely powerful, but you need to become more experienced with Spirit before using it, because it's harder to track them without scratch marks.
Prayer Beads is broken and you should only use it against survivors you really hate.

If you truly have 2700 hrs in the game, you would know looping isn't everything.
The only reason (reason LUL) i heard on why spirit is better than hillbilly is: just loop him. Legit the only reason, i'm still waiting for someone to prove me with some GOOD reasons, not just loop him 4Head.
Apparently, you don't need more reasons, because even Billy mains says that Spirit is stronger. Billy can get looped for 3+ gens, especially on his bad maps. On his bad maps, even Hag is stronger than him and that says everything.

Hahaha, that made me laugh, thanks i needed that.
I guess you're probably his sub, and coming here on forums and saying how good he is.
Dude last time i checked, true gets on average 1.5/2 survivors out constantly, last time i checked hexy get 0, sometimes 1 out due to gen rush meta.
Quit trolling you're bad at it.
Last time I checked, Hexy almost never plays Billy and when he does, he always uses Instant Saw and Ebony Mori, despite saying add-onless Billy is better than add-onless Nurse. But I wonder why he never plays Billy without these things, maybe he is afraid is gonna lose and he will finally see that Billy isn't that God Tier ?

well i don't stay 24/7 on forums, and don't watch 24/7 streams about dbd.
FYI you don't get better at the game if you watch X streamer plays, i assume you didn't know that, maybe this clear things out.
The fact that you put spirit and billy in the same pool, explains the fact that you have no idea what the strongest 2 killers have in common, spoiler alert spirit isn't one of them.
Maybe stop watching streamers and play the game, then you might understand how stupid this spirit/billy topic really is LMAO.
Dude, you know you are talking to Scott Jund, right ? He plays both, Spirit and Billy, at red ranks, and he still thinks Spirit is better than Billy, even after playing them constantly in high ranks.
-
Survivor handbook rule 457 : If a killer wastes almost all his power to defend a totem, survivors are allowed to report the killer for camping and exploiting and then go on forums and complaining about things nobody cares about.
-
I said it all the time, Object of Obsession is Hag's biggest counter together with flashlights, at least against flashlights she can adapt her traps placements and make them harder to find, but against Object she can't do #########, that perk completely kills her. If Object wouldn't counter her so hard, I would place Hag above Billy, but right now she is under him, because she has literally a hard counter ( unlike the top 3 killers : Nurse, Spirit and Billy ).
-
They are many BS things in this game and what you described even isn't that BS, so you need to get over it.
-
Myers wastes more time with his stalking, but his stalking grants him 1 minute of exposed status on everyone, faster vault speed and longer lunge range.
Ghost Face stalking is faster, especially when leaning, but he only gets a 45 seconds of exposed status on 1 survivor at a time and nothing else. Also, if you break him out of stealth, Ghost Face has a 30 seconds cooldown, which is a long cooldown if you ask me.
So I would say Myers for now, but Ghost Face is gonna get buffed against Object of Obsession with the new status effects incoming, so he might become better. But even then, GF still has a long cd on his power without add-ons.

"Windows aren't any stronger against Spirit unless we are talking about the bullshit ones from Ironworks of Misery and other [BAD WORD], which are also as strong against Billy and any killer other than Nurse and somewhat Hag."
Yes they are crazy strong against her because she has to end phase walk to vault, and most decent windows require her to walk around if she expects you vaulted, which means she either ends her power early to vault or wastes it all trying to cut you off. Pallets on the other hand don't offer this security unless they are dropped, which is why pallets are generally so unsafe against a Spirit.
In the case of the super strong windows... you vault, she vaults, chances are her power is still in recovery, by the time it's back up and she catches up you already made it back to the window. Being a 110 killer means she can't just brute force the loop she MUST use her power to catch up, but you force her to vault and she can't use her power and vault at the same time. Trust me those loops are way better against Spirit than Billy. Hag can break them because she can set a trap and teleport. Nurse can teleport. Spirit has to follow you, even if she is invisible and moving faster you will make the window over and over until it closes. Try it sometime you will be surprised how effective windows are against a Spirit.
"90% of Billy mains I know told me that Billy is weaker than Spirit. Literally any person playing Billy somewhat constantly in high ranks thinks Spirit is stronger than him."
And you have a Spirit main telling you Billy is stronger, what's your point here?
"Billy doesn't force survivors to drop pallets earlier, stop living in dreams. Good survivors bait pallets and make extra loops and use windows and that delay his Spirit Fury. Billy doesn't break pallets instantly unless survivors drop the pallet when he is charging his chainsaw, which can be avoided. Otherwise, os not worth charging your chainsaw to break the pallet."
A Billy that can curve and has insta-saw add-ons can indeed force pallet drops early, and if they have SF/Enduring they can do it even more than normal. And it is worth using your chainsaw to break pallets because you can bait the survivor to break for the next loop and instead of breaking the pallet you chase with the chainsaw. You can put them in a situation where you force them to lose distance because you can threaten to break the pallet OR come after them at the same time. You can't do that with other killers because once you commit to the pallet break you are stuck doing the animation. You can't force the survivor to run away early and follow without breaking the pallet like you can with Billy.
"Haddonfield is Spirit's worst map, but yet, Spirit mains stil don't DC and they still 4k with 32k BP against multiple Iron Will users there, while some of Billy mains DC on Haddonfield, Lery's and Ormond, and if you have the urge to DC just because you got that map, that says something about the strength of that killer. "
No it doesn't LOL. First I don't see more Billys DC on that map than any other killer. Second, just because these killers are babies and don't want to work for their kills by DC'ing doesn't mean that the killer is weaker than another. If I was the type of player to DC often, I would pretty much DC every time I got Haddonfield, doesn't matter what killer, because it sucks for all of them except maybe Trapper. In fact I know players that DC on Haddonfield all the time, doesn't matter who they play as.

No Stridor does hard counter Iron Will, which is why I say any good Spirit would be using it because it hard counters a hard counter to her power. IW3 decreases cries of pain by 100%, Stridor increases cries of pain by 50%, resulting in a net of -50%. Stridor will turn IW3 into IW1 basically. You can even hear it as survivor. Start a KYF game, put on IW and have the killer use Stridor. Then take a hit. You will cry in pain, this is how you can tell the killer has Stridor.
The only way to beat Stridor is to use NM and IW together, because NM adds that extra 50% back and makes you silent again.

I know 2-3 Spirits mains ( including you ) saying Billy is stronger than her. Literally every other Spirit main told me she is stronger than Billy. I met around 15 Billy mains who told me that Billy is weaker than Spirit. The last Billy main who told me that he is stronger said that he needs Engravings add-ons to bypass Spirit. My point is Spirit mains seems to trust more their killer potential than Billy mains.
Even if not all Billy mains DC on certain maps, they still struggle more than Spirit. Spirit seems to do consistently well on any map, while Billy really struggle on half of the maps from what I saw recently.
Again, Iron Will doesn't hard counter her because she can play around it. Hard counter would mean she can't do that. You really don't seem to know what hard counter means.
If Billy tries that trick, the survivor can just avoid it, usually long and even medium chainsaw snipes are easily avoidable, unless Billy has speed/steering add-ons and survivors don't expect these add-ons ( but after they know you have them, they can counter them accordingly ).
Instant Saw is strong indeed and it may need a little nerf, but Spirit has more broken add-ons combo.
Curving is still avoidbale and not possible on all loops. Most loops are easily abusable if Billy is too greedy with his chainsaw.
If Billy M1 you, you get a sprint burst, he loses his instant down and you can counter his chainsaw even more easily now with Dead Hard. You want a Billy to M1, and a Billy will M1 if you are good enough.
Remember, almost any Billy main I know told me Spirit is better, I can't say the same for Spirit mains.
Edit : if Spirit ends her power early, her cooldown is shorter, so she can use it right away after vaulting. If she wasted all her power, then she probably can get a hit on the survivor. Billy is also very weak around windows unless he is using Instant Saw, because they "cancel" his instant down and force him to M1. If you force him to M1, you won the chase. You also need to learn how strong windows are against Billy, even stronger than against Spirit.

Either way without getting into specifics, billy is way above spirit, anyone with iq above average can see that.
Just loop him 4Head
Just loop 4Head
Even Billy mains with thousands of hours like Zubatlel and OhTofu says that Spirit is better than Billy. It's not just Tru3, pretty much every high rank killer streamer says that Spirit is stronger.

Iron will at rank 3 reduces the grunts of pain caused by injuries by 100%, rendering them completely silent. There's nothing to increase the sound of if there's nothing there.
Maybe you should test Stridor on survivors with Iron Will 3 to convince yourself.

Last time I checked Stridor countered Iron Will and @thesuicidefox can confirm, he uses Stridor on Spirit from what I heard from him.

It's not that you "need" these things to beat Spirit, it's that they exist in such a way that they can beat her for you. Iron Will is indeed a hard counter to Spirit. That perk alone makes you much harder to track in phase walk. Billy has no such hard counters.
As for the M1 argument, Billy is a 115 killer. He has the option to M1 if he needs it. Spirit, by contrast, is a 110 killer meaning she can't just go around and M1 if she needs it. She MUST use her power. And unlike Nurse, her power has a cool down. Also unlike Nurse, her power doesn't let her negate windows and pallets completely. She can play around pallets, she can't play around windows. That's why I've said in the past that windows are your best options against Spirit because she is forced to either vault and lose distance or go around and lose the chase entirely.
As for map dependency, Spirit does poorly on Haddonfield like all killers. And she can potentially do poorly on Lery's because there are so many windows. It depends on how the tiles are spawned.
Spirit Fury does NOT take long to activate if you play Billy. You can force pallets down early and break them faster with chainsaws. You do that twice and you are set. Also by "play around it" you mean drop the pallet early, which is still a benefit to the killer, especially if that killer can instantly break it like Billy can.
Regarding you last point, again it's about the cost of mistakes. You make a mistake against Spirit you get hit. You make a mistake against Billy you go down. If 2 survivors make mistakes in quick succession against Billy, that's the game. Spirit can't snowball nearly that easily or quickly. She needs a total of 4 hits unless she has something Exposed but that is way more situational than chainsaw. All Billy needs to do to get his one shot is catch you in a bad position. No need for any specific trigger, just get close when there isn't a pallet or window immediately nearby and you go down.
Billy is just better. That's how it is. He has more snowball potential, can force early pallet drops to make dead zones really quick, and doesn't always need to rely on his power. That puts him above Spirit.
Iron Will doesn't hard counter her, footsteps, breathing, collision, Stridor all help Spirit against Iron Will. Hard counter would mean she can't do anything about it, which isn't the case.
Billy is again hard countered by Lery's and Haddonfield offerings.
Haddonfield is Spirit's worst map, but yet, Spirit mains stil don't DC and they still 4k with 32k BP against multiple Iron Will users there, while some of Billy mains DC on Haddonfield, Lery's and Ormond, and if you have the urge to DC just because you got that map, that says something about the strength of that killer. Lery's is good for Spirit because small map + louder footsteps which makes Iron Will less effective + almost every loop being dead zone against Spirit + almost every window having an entrance besides them.
Billy doesn't force survivors to drop pallets earlier, stop living in dreams. Good survivors bait pallets and make extra loops and use windows and that delay his Spirit Fury. Billy doesn't break pallets instantly unless survivors drop the pallet when he is charging his chainsaw, which can be avoided. Otherwise, os not worth charging your chainsaw to break the pallet.
Windows aren't any stronger against Spirit unless we are talking about the bullshit ones from Ironworks of Misery and other #########, which are also as strong against Billy and any killer other than Nurse and somewhat Hag.
If the survivor gets caught in open against Billy, that survivor is probably stupid or plays on Rotten Fields.
"Billy is just better, that's how it is". I just LOLed. 90% of Billy mains I know told me that Billy is weaker than Spirit. Literally any person playing Billy somewhat constantly in high ranks thinks Spirit is stronger than him. Apparently, even Billy mains can't see how good Billy is, I wonder why ? The most funny thing is that almost any person claiming Billy is better than Spirit, doesn't play Billy enough in high ranks, because once they do, they change their mind π.
-
Hag : better than Billy against teams without flashlights and Object of Obsession, especially on certain maps ( The Game, Lery's, Haddonfield, Disturbed Ward, Badham Preschool ).
Plague : better than Myers, because besides an instant down, she can also get a really opressive range attack and she also counters some of the survivors perks ( Adrenaline, Iron Will, Self Care, Solidarity, We'll Make It, Botany Knowledge ), unlike Myers.
Pig : she isn't low tier for God sake.

I wouldn't say that, more than Spirit has more ability to force survivors into situations where they make mistakes. If a survivor plays perfectly they are still going to be hard to impossible to catch, even for Spirit. Again mind skills.
The thing is the COST of those mistakes. Spirit can force you to make many small mistakes which she can capitalize on quickly and get a hit. Billy can't force as many mistakes as Spirit, but when you do make a mistake against Billy it's a down not a hit. The cost of a mistake against Spirit is low but frequent, the cost of a mistake against Billy is high but less frequent. Billy's snowball potential is way higher because of that. He lands that 1 chainsaw and it can swing the entire game. He lands 2 chainsaws quickly and chances are he just won that game.
Billy also has the option to chase like a normal killer, where Spirit does not. She is almost completely reliant on her power. Billy isn't.
Sorry but I just don't believe Spirit is better than Billy. It may seem that way but if you have a survivor that is has the right perks and the right skill set against Spirit she will have a hard time. Billy doesn't have those very big weaknesses. His only weakness is that he can be looped, which isn't really even an issue because he can force pallet drops better than any other killer and if you give him Enduring/SF that ability is multiplied. A good Billy will eat through pallets so fast that the looping weakness is almost non-existent.

"If a survivor plays perfectly" playing perfectly is relative. I can say "If Spirit plays perfectly, survivors can't do anything against her". Almost anything a survivor can do, Spirit can react properly and vice versa.
Hard counters ? She doesn't have any. A hard counter would be OoO against stealth killers, because no matter what they do, their powers will always be countered. I don't think any perk disable Spirit's power and she always has her counters against said perks.
Billy has "hard counters" too : offerings for Haddonfield and Lery's π. But seriously, Billy is more map dependent than Spirit.
Also, here is Billy's counter : You force him to M1. If he doesn't do that, you bait his chainsaws and use windows, every good Billy will M1 when needed, and after he M1 you, his instant down becomes useless, you get a sprint burst to another loop and you have Dead Hard to counter his chainsaw. You talk like Billy will always be able to instant down, but good survivors will almost always force him to M1. If he doesn't M1 and he is too greedy with his chainsaw, 3 gens get done anyway untill he instant down someone.
Spirit Fury takes time to charge up, survivors will drop pallets just when needed against Billy, they can stall him reliably using windows and untill you have Spirit Fury active, gens might get done already. And if survivors know you have SF, they can still play around it.
By your logic, I can say Billy is better than Nurse because Nurse relies on her power even more than Spirit, can't chase without her power, can't instant down and if survivors jukes one of her blinks, they can lose her or put enough distance between them.
If you need mind skill and perks to counter Spirit, she is simply better than Billy, period, end of disscussion. Against Billy I can take any meta perk I want and I even don't need to be "God Tier" with mind games to counter him reliably, while with Spirit you need these things. The survivors who can counter a good Spirit are already the survivors who could counter even a good Nurse, while with Billy you even don't need to be that good to counter him.

From my experience I've noticed that the following are pretty helpful against Spirit that isn't Iron Will ;
- Spine Chills : This can help you know when Spirit is coming directly in your direction while phasing, although this probably won't do much against a good Spirit.
- Object of Obsession : I've noticed that when using this against Spirit, her husk seemingly does not emit an aura while phasing which is a very powerful tool, though this perk in general is very powerful.
- Dance With Me : Scratches are a good indicator to guide a Spirit on which way to go up until they can hear you, having a way to remove your scratchmarks is extremely beneficial. You can pair this up with Lithe along with Quick & Quiet, though you are using 3 perk slots for this combination.
- Poised : Same reason as above, although you have way less control over this perk than you would with Dance With Me.
Outside of perks, good windows can waste a lot of time for Spirit as going around them can drain her duration up, otherwise you have to rely on predicting what the Spirit will do which them comes completely down to how good the player using her is.
Object of Obsession hinders you against Spirit, unless she is using Anal Beads.

"Billy is top tier because of his mobility and punish game".
Yes that's why he's widely consider an easy killer. He capitalizes on small errors a ton.
"but even Billy mains with thousand of hours said that good survivors will loop him like a mad lad."
Nurse mains will tell you that good Surviviors will juke her like mad. Spirit mains will tell you good Surviviors outplay her like mad. I don't see your point in saying this.
"And how is Spirit more exploitable when I know Billy mains who would DC any day on Hadnofun and Lery's, while I didn't met a single Spirit to DC because of a bad map ?"
Ok by that logic how is Nurse broken bc I know Nurse mains who will DC on Coldwind maps. Spirit is more exploitable bc she flubs her power once and she's a 110 killer for a while during the chase. Billy flubs a chainsaw and he still has it ready to use and is a 115 killer making him faster at base.
Actually, I know Nurse mains who would DC on Swamp back in days because of the dead zones, LOL. What you said doesn't make Spirit exploitable at all. Also, I know a lot of Billy mains saying that Spirit is better than him. Also, most of the Spirit mains I know said she is better than Billy against good survivors and she is really hard to juke unless survivors have Iron Will, so you are wrong again. Billy's chainsaw is easily avoidable unless Instant Saw is involved, he is pretty weak around windows and his curving can be countered by aware survivors.
-
That team even wasn't that good, that just shows how weak Trapper is even against a half decent team. Worst killer in the game in my opinion.
-
Ruin/Pop, BBQ/Surveillance/Thrilling Tremors, Enduring and Spirit Fury.
Recovery rate add-ons are the best add-ons and pretty much mandatory for Ghost Face. Stalk speed add-ons were nerfed and now are meh, increased duration of exposed add-ons are also meh, increased crouch speed add-ons are more for memes, increased movement speed while stalking and increased Killer's Instinct add-ons are useless and decreased detection range seems to do nothing from what I heard.

I main Spirit and I honestly think Billy is mildly stronger.
He is a 115 killer. He has faster movement speed with his power. He has a one shot built in. He is way easier to learn than Spirit. And when you consider perks/add-ons I think Billy gets more benefit because of Spirit Fury/Enduring and insta-saw or engravings. The only exception is Prayer Bead Bracelet, which is definitely more powerful than anything Billy has, but that's one specific add-on that is honestly broken and should be nerfed anyway.
Spirit is a 110 killer. Her power has a cool down period. She requires more skill to use against better survivors. And her power is HARD countered by Iron Will, Spine Chill, Lightweight/DWM/Poised, and Q&Q. She is a mind skill killer. That means if you don't have good mind games, you won't really succeed with her. Billy is a technical skill killer. You don't really have to think with him, just don't make dumb mistakes and you can just kind of play on autopilot.
Basically, Spirit can potentially be more powerful than Billy, but it's way way easier to reach Billy's max potential than Spirit's. Billy can also generate pressure much faster than Spirit purely because of his one shot. All he needs is 1 chainsaw hit at the right time to swing the game.
The reason I think more people rank Spirit higher than Billy is because she is harder to learn the counter plays. For Billy it's pretty straightforward... don't get chainsawed. That's such a simple thing you can do a lot of things to counter it. But for Spirit it's way more complex, and it really comes down to the behavior of the Spirit. Does she do the stand still mind game a lot? Does she follow directly or try to cut you off? Does she break chases often to go for someone else when phase walking? Does she break every pallet, none, or just the important ones? There's a lot more to consider and to be entirely honest... most survivors are not that good at mind games. They might think they are, but when you can make choices based on the killer's red stain/character model/etc it's not really a mind game, more of an optimized reaction. Spirit requires a level of prediction and unpredictability that most survivors just lack. I can't tell you how often I just catch people running loops in the most predictable ways, or how they always fail to predict anything I'm doing even when it's a bit obvious. But you get that rare survivor that knows how to do this stuff well, and give them Iron Will or any of those perks I mention above, and it will be VERY difficult to catch them as Spirit. It's an entirely different beast.
You could argue that because Billy is so straightforward he is really easy to play around, which is true to a degree, but the catch is that if you mess up against Billy you eat a chainsaw. If you mess up against Spirit you get hit. It's just harder to not mess up against Spirit for most people, so their perception on her power is skewed because it's less her strength and more about their failure.
Spirit depends more on her skill than survivors mistakes, and while she will need for survivors to mess up at times, she can do her own plays more often than Billy can. Also, Mother Daughter Ring + Bloddy Hair Brooch is more broken than Anal Beads against survivors with Spine Chill.

If Billy is easily loopable, how is he even considered one of the best in the game. Spirit has a higher skill cap, but she's also far more exploitable than Billy is.
She has god tier mindgames? You can simply abandon the loop she's mindgaming you at. You force out one use of her power and she has to wait to recharge it. Billy meanwhile has a power with no cooldown that applies superior map pressure. Only thing Spirit has is superior chase potential and that's if she secures her power
Billy is top tier because he has mobility and punish survivors mistakes like no one else, but even Billy mains with thousand of hours said that good survivors will loop him like a mad lad. And how is Spirit more exploitable when I know Billy mains who would DC any day on Hadnofun and Lery's, while I didn't met a single Spirit to DC because of a bad map ?

Weak, but not pointless. Having a free broken pallet still saves you time. And if dodging pallets isnt your strong suit, it's a very helpful perk.
Not every perk has to be BBQ/Ruin/Adrenaline/old MoM levels of good to be considered "not pointless"
But why use a weak perk when you can use a better perk then ? Or combine that perk with another to make it worth it ?

Just like adrenaline without borrowed time on an unhook?
Just because they synergize well, doesnt make one pointless on it's own.
Yes, it does. The default stun time is enough for survivors to get to another pallet/window, so Spirit Fury is really weak on its own.

Trust me not many people know this. You can see for yourself in KYF. You need to look closely - when she starts to phase the glass turns white.
I think Spirit's last outfit doesn't have her glasses ( I might be wrong, but I remember it didn't have ), so with that outfit you don't know when she's phasing. Also, watching glasses shining isn't reliable anyway, you get hit untill you know for sure if she's phasing.

Here's the thing. In her bad maps, she's Freddy level or a bit worse. On her good maps, she's so much better than him it's actually absurd.
But what are her good maps ? Because she is very good on Autohaven Wreckers ( mainly on Blood Lodge ), but then, she has maps that don't hurt her too much, maps that makes her life a pain and maps that completely destroy her and causes DCs among Huntress mains.

I mean, she ends chases fast regardless of the map.
You could argue she's not #5 in Lery's or the Game but she is anywhere else
Hadnofun, Family Residence, Mount Ormond, there are more bad maps for Huntress than these 2. I think she is slightly better than Freddy due to her really high skill ceiling, but I don't think Freddy is too far from her, not with maps that [BAD WORD] Huntress.
-
I wouldn't care too much about that tier list, LOL.
-
5-6th killer in my opinion.

Hex:Ruin, Monitor and Abuse, Thanatophobia and Pop Goes the Weasel is a pretty optimal build for Plague. You can also change Monitor and Abuse and Ruin/Pop for Enduring and Spirit Fury and Ruin/Pop for Infectious Fright.
As for add-ons :
Black Incense is by far her strongest add-on.
Iridescent Seal is more hit or miss, but it can also force survivors to cleanse, because you will get your Corrupt Purge after every gen done.
Apples are very good, especially with Black Incense ( her best add-on combo I would say ).
Effectiveness, cooldown and charge time add-ons are also really good and worth using.
Infection time on objects, increased movement speed while holding Corrupt Purge and increased Corrupt Purge duration are her worst add-ons and are not worth using.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but think about the stuff that could apply the Oblivious status effect.
Night Shroud, for sure. Pig's crouch, most likely. Wraith, definitely.
But go beyond that. This is a supposed update. What else is to come in updates in the near future? Addon changes, as confirmed by the devs, and, more importantly, a new Killer.
What if their power or Perks has something to do with the Oblivious status effect? Is it another stealth Killer? Is it a Killer designed to afflict Survivors with nasty effects?
Who knows? Time to speculate!
Well, Nurse and Doctor will receive add-on changes in the near future, so probably they will be the ones with these new effects in their add-ons.
-
I actually think that even Hag is better than Billy against teams without flashlights and/or Object of Obsession. And OoO will become less used after they add the new status effects for stealth killers and for flashlights you have Franklin's Demise, so ...
-
Spirit for more reasons :
1 Better chase potential.
2 Better add-ons.
3 Even Billy mains says about Spirit being better than him.
4 You need specific perks to counter Spirit, but you don't need anything to counter Billy.
5 Less map dependent.

I have a different opinion than most people here. If we exclude prayer beads bracelet from the discussion since it is one of the most broken add-ons in the game, and if we assume the player is really really good:
Hillbilly vs spirit: naked; without perks and add-ons. Spirit wins.
Hillbilly vs spirit: with perks and addons. Hillbilly wins with a small margin.
A lot of people say billy can be looped. A very good billy who can reliably curve/drift around loops with spirit furry, enduring, bamboozle and engravings add-ons (which is a very common build) is not loopable. The only way to protect yourself from being chainsawed is by dropping pallets like a potato. Billy can force early pallet drops, create dead zones very quickly. With his instadawn, there is no room for mistakes.
I played against very good billies myself and watched streamers (very good loopers) go down to good billies in seconds.
This is just my opinion which is not set in stone.
With Engravings Billy's charge time is even longer. So windows are even stronger against him than usual. So you can still abuse strong buildings like the ones from Disturbed Ward and Ironworks of Misery against him, even easier when he has Engravings add-ons.
