I'm surprised nobody is saying ironworks of infinite. That window is complete and utter BS and if you commit to a chase in that building the gens will fly. IMHO it should be hotfixed. When I get that map as Bubba i just instantly DC.
Well, that building is BS and should be fixed, but believe it or not, there are even more BS buildings than that. Ironworks building has 1 God window, while Disturbed Ward building has 2 God windows and 3 safe pallets.
-
She can be really strong, but you need a very good build and tactic with her. Try to make everyone broken at the start of the match, don't chase survivors for too long, try to create deadzones, so you can down survivors extremely easily with her later. Thanatophobia + Dying Light + Pop + Ruin is a very, very good build on her. As add-ons, Black Incense and Apples are amazing against non cleansers, cooldown add-ons are very good to get quick downs and effectiveness and charge time add-ons are also really decent.
She isn't Nurse or Spirit, but she is nowhere near bottom of the tier list. Top 5-7 I would say.
-
Haddonfield, Ormond and Disturbed Ward should be top priority right now for devs.
-
Imagine killers actually wanting to kill survivors. Utterly ridiculous, I'm telling you.
-
My favourite map is Family Residence. Love its design.
-
I think I am gonna put Demo very high in my next tier list.
-
Imagine running Black Box against an OoO user, the obsession would get to know all your moves all the time and God help you if he is in a SWF team on top of that.
Ironically the perk that used to be countered by old Freddy now it's killing him LOL.
-
Well, you should accept it then 🙊.
-
Idk, I feel like Demo's portals are stronger or at least as strong as Freddy's gen teleport because he isn't restricted to gens, so he doesn't lose his teleport in end game, he gets stealth out of his portals, so he can attempt to ambush people ( unlike Freddy ) and you get tracking out of them ( unlike Freddy ).

No but it wouldn't be so prevalent if he couldn't down ppl so easily.
He can't down them easily if people know how to avoid his chainsaw.

@Marcus @PolarBear Huntress also has a normal TR on top of the lullaby. Freddy's lullaby flat out replaces his TR. TR perks still work on Huntress. Same cannot be said about Freddy when asleep.
And remember this hurts Freddy too. He loses the option to use TR perks (which was a problem with old Freddy that was fixed with the rework). While the current options aren't amazing, it means any TR perk in the future will be worthless on him.
But Huntresses lullaby still can be construed as a TR, regardless of her already have one. And devs made Huntresses lullaby nondirectional because of Freddy rework, so they clealry want to have consistency with lullabies.

Stealth killers already could've counter BT. Now we're gonna nerf ######### Wraith because he counters BT ?

The penalty is that the 4 gens are easier to patrol as killer.... it wastes the survivors time finding another gen which moves them around the map which possibly can lead to the killer finding a survivor quicker....
Yes, but you can still only chase only 1 survivor at a time, while the others avoid a 3 gen situation because of your perk.

Because Adrenaline and Inner Strength outclass Second Wind.

Except that
1) This "tweak" for this killer is absolutely unnecessary, unlike the BT changes. BT was changed because it was either that or you could literally never play against Legion without Self Care (and then later changed again because of Legion and their strong link to BT effects). It was necessary to make the character work. Adding Oblivious to DW isn't that. It's not needed, especially because Freddy is a very strong killer now.
2) There's nothing inconsistent about lullaby. You are asleep, lullaby replaces TR. It's pretty simple. If there was absolutely nothing then you would have a point, but the fact there is SOMETHING that can be construed as a TR means it's not a very consistent change.
This just simply is a bad decision. PERIOD. End of story. Freddy doesn't need a free anti-BT mechanic. He is plenty powerful as he is right now. This coming from someone that plays Freddy (old and new). They literally just threw this on him because they could, not because it was needed.

Huntresses lullaby never affected TR based perks, despite it could be construed as a TR.

Corrupt Intervention is overrated, they can just do the other 4 gens without any penalty and you might even help survivors to not 3 gen themselves by using it.

It doesn’t turn The Obsession into a god. You can hook them once, continue to injure them and slug them, maybe even risk hooking them twice. You just gotta ensure you try to kill them last.
You forgot the buff the obsession gets and the fact that the obsession isn't affected by Dying Light. God help you if the obsession has a Medkit or Botany, he's gonna heal the others survivors at the speed of the light, nullifying the Dying and Thanatophobia combo.

... I can’t praise hag that much because I haven’t heard of a certain person? Entitled much? Lol I can come up with any opinion I want 😂😂 This is honestly one of the most arrogant things I’ve read on these forums..
Sorry, I didn't mean that. I really thought you know that guy.
I still stand by my opinion Spirit > Hag tho.

Not sure who that is. And one game out of millions won’t dictate my opinion. Especially one that wasn’t played by me. And yeah I have lost against SWF OoO with hag... but I have with all the other killers with/without OoO too.
Wow, you really don't know Michi ? He literally has a Discord where he teaches people how to play Hag and is known as a God Tier Hag. You can't praise Hag that much without at least hearing about him.

Hag 100% can deal with both lol. And I don’t care about spirits add ons. Hag is better than Spirit in their base kits. More on par with each other with green/yellow add ons. Don’t factor in pink or purple add ons for any killer.
If she can deal with OoO SWF teams, then why I heard that Michi ( known as the best Hag main alive ) DCed against SWF teams with 2 Object of Obsession ? Sorry, I don't see Hag being better than Spirit, even base kit wise.
-
Spirit is still better than Hag. Spirit can deal with SWF teams with OoO. Hag can't.
And Spirit also has better add-ons.
-
I think it's very useful on Plague, but it's really not that good of a perk in general. Dying Light literally makes the obsession a "God" and it's only effective mid-late game, pretty much like the old DL.
-
At first, I thought he was mid tier, but now I think he is probably the 5th best killer in the game.
-
There are also fantom chainsaws, where, despite the fact that the chainsaw should've downed the survivor, it just goes through him and nothing happens, allowing the survivor to reach a loop in that way. So hitboxes can be BS for both sides.

Then why was it a problem to moonwalk with legion? And why was it a problem that he would down you no matter what, just a matter of time?
I know that with Legion it was more frequent but it has the same idea.
It's not your fault that someone unsafely unhooks you.
I already said why with Legion it was a completely different thing. Look, with old BT you would go down no matter what against any killer, but nobody complained about it being too weak or unfair.
-
@NullSp3c said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/713968#Comment_713968
It's still an exploit that makes you go down no matter what. You get that feel that it doesn't matter if you played right or outskilled the killer.
That argument brought the legion's update.
A lot of people don't know about this sinergy and unsafe unhook you.
LMAO, there is no exploit, that just how old BT used to work and nobody complained about it. You also don't outplay the killer when rushing to do an unsafe hook with BT, just saying.

Rule Set no. 2 being base kit would arguably make her worse unless you're running Tampered Timer (in which case, you just cross your fingers and hope you get lucky with the traps). The whole point of the RBT is to force them off of generators. Rule Set no. 2 goes against that; it blocks the box auras until a generator has been powered. You're giving the survivor two choices: 1) Run around the map looking for boxes, spending who knows how long searching for them, or 2) Just do a generator anyway and then take your RBT off.
Since there's more than enough time to get it off, you could easily afford to do a generator and then search. It can have some niche use with Tampered Timer or Jigsaw's Sketch, but you wouldn't want to have it unless you're using one of those two with it.
I understand what are you saying, but I need to point out, why is this even a ultra rare if even you say is such a bad add-on by itself.
-
@Rydog said:
ITT: People complaining that Freddy's snares have no counterplay except for waking up.
That's the idea. It's the whole concept of how the character's power is designed to work. His power is totally disabled when you're awake.
I mean, come on, people.
And that is not even true. You can still drop pallets earlier and Freddy needs to break them, because Snares don't slow vaults on pallets. And the slow down isn't even that bad, most of the time you can still run through it and get to a pallet.
-
@Peanits said:
I would have to respectfully disagree with the Pig being weak- but making the skill checks for removing a RBT hard wouldn't be an option. If you have a new player that has a hard time with skill checks (or someone with a disability), that's basically a guaranteed death. It's one thing to miss a skill check on a generator and take a few more seconds, it's another to straight up kill them.
There's a silver lining to the ambush change; you can now down the obsession with STBFL without losing stacks by using the ambush. Since that change, she has not been nerfed.
Instant down perks, Sloppy Butcher, Surge and other perks got weaker on Pig in exchange for STBFL to be a little bit better on her, so that change was indeed a nerf to her.

i know in most people tier list, they think plague is like bottom tier killer, but ironically, Myers somehow happens to go in some top-tier or mid-tier status when plague who puts everyone into unlimited tier 3 is somehow bottom tier. she's top tier killer for red ranks, even before change, Thanatophobia was always stable in her perk selection. I think people have notion that game-slowdown for killer is like not important. It's why I think people think pig is bad because they're like, these bears traps, they aren't killing people so it must be a bad power. same thing for legion. There's reason why everyone runs hex:ruin on killer, It's not because they like the perk, it's because they value game slowdown. In any case, if you face dying light+Thanatophobia plague, you should cleanse because generators will be very slow. try to get as many generators done before plague poisons everyone. eventually you'll have to face 115% ms huntress with ranged hatchets at loops which is very powerful.
I consider Plague stronger than Myers and right now she is fighting for a place in my top 5 killers with Demogorgon and Freddy.
Pig keep getting nerfed unfortunately, but she still isn't bottom tier, but Legion is actually trash. His stall won't do anything than just prolong a match where he barely can get a kill.

So legion got completely destroyed because of things like moonwalk.
But now, it is intended for a killer to run after someone and wait for them to die and there is nothing that you can do to stop it.
Freddy doesnt even need to moonwalk. Im very confused.
The difference is that Legion could hit you with his power at any time he wanted, while Freddy can activate Deep Wounds only when you have BT on you. So if your team does save unhooks, then it shouldn't be a problem. In end game, you have 15 seconds to find the gate and leave, that should be enough time.
-
No.
-
Imagine wanting to slow down a killer whose power slows down survivors. The fact this happens with Clown is not ok.
-
Dying Light is only good on Plague because she cancels the healing bonus the obsession gets from this perk. But that's about it.

Unfortunately BHVR is never going to touch BBQ and everyone defends it and insists it doesn't need nerfs. So this kind of adjustment will never happen.

Survivors have been complaining about Billy for the past year. It isn't anything new. Did you miss the memo?
In the past year I heard more complaints towards Nurse and Spirit. Lately, people were complaining about the Oblivious status effect on Freddy. Billy wasn't complained about as much.
-
Just loop him. BBQ has more counters than Distortion and you can use offerings for Haddonfield/Lery's/The Game/Hawkins/Ormond if you face Billy so often.
-
What I can say ? Just play Infectious Fright Nurse, slug everyone and never worry about DS ?
-
Only decent if you use it with DS and/or Inner Strength. Otherwise, Balanced Landing, Lithe and Dead Hard are much better.

I'll consider moving Bamboozle up one, but Spirit Fury + Enduring is a staple build for many killers, which is why I ranked them so high.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/712705#Comment_712705
Nurse's is a great perk, especially with M&A or stealthier killers. I get what you mean with Surveillance, I messed up a bit with that one. I'll definitely move that up by a tier or two.
I'll admit I was a bit generous with remember me and stridor, I guess I thought there were too many perks in the tier below. I still think they're better than a lot of those perks though, so I might have to make another tier.
Corrupt is great on killers like Trapper that need time to set up and is good in general for slowing down the early game. I think it deserves its spot on the list.
People don't heal as much as they used to do and now they rush gens into Adrenaline and that made A Nurse's Calling lose from his effectiveness. There are also new healing perks like Second Wind or Inner Strength who are unnafected by A Nurse's Calling, so it's safe to say that this perk isn't as good as it used to be.
Corrupt is really overrated, survivors can just spread out and repair the other 4 gens and even avoid a 3 gen strat thanks to Corrupt.
-
@Peanits said:
This is intended. Object of Obsession stops showing the aura while you are within the killer's terror radius. Since they are oblivious, they are not in the terror radius, so OoO is meant to activate. Likewise, Borrowed Time also won't activate since you are not inside the terror radius as long as you're asleep.
Using the Sheep Block or Unicorn Block will hard counter this, if you want. Any time they trigger a snare or a dream pallet, they get Blindness and can't read your aura anymore. You could even run Third Seal if you really want.
But it was really worth to make base kit Freddy weaker just to make his useless Blindness add-ons a little bit stronger ( but still not worth running ) ?
-
BBQ/Surveillance, Ruin/Pop, Enduring and Spirit Fury. You can force pallets stuns pretty easily with Demo's Shred and that makes EndFury stronger on him than on other M1 killers. BBQ or Surveillance are good on him because you can use your portals besides gens, so you can teleport and "sneak up" on them. Ruin or Pop are your usually stall perks.
-
A Nurse's Calling is way too high, Surveillance > Discordance any day, Whispers should be lower, Spies from the Shadows should definitely be lower, Remember Me and Stridor are a tier lower and Corrupt Intervention isn't that good.
-
Devs wanted to nerf OoO by adding Undetectable status effect into the game, but they ended up buffing it with the other status effect, Oblivious, coming into play. Stealth killers like Wraith, Pig and Ghost Face will be able to deal with OoO users when they will finally get Undetectable in their kit, but OoO will be as strong or even stronger against other killers like Freddy, Trapper, Hag or Huntress.
-
The fact that you need to play Ghost Face in a other way than the way he was designed for to be more effective with him is pretty sad. The same thing with Pig, which got an Ambush which can't ambush anyone with ears, but can be used more effective as a chase tool to get hits/bait survivors at certain loops.

Oops.
Edited now.
Iron Maiden is great for basement builds, especially before the survivors are aware you’ve got it. Those survivors that are rescued but decide to pop into a basement locker till it’s safe to leave, or those that hide in lockers above the basement till you come up the stairs and left? Well you’re gonna know about it the moment they exit.
Iron Maiden is very useless on Plague ( and in general ), her power already gives you instant down and tracking.

The devs have GUTTED Surviviors whenever any relevant opening for them comes up. Killers don't wanna look at walls or run lightborn to counter flashlights? Killers sick of Surviviors healing? Ok let's buff sloppy butcher and gut self care. Killers don't like mindgaming unsafe windows? Entity blocker. Killers can't chase Surviviors effectively? BLOODLUST.
Tell me sir if Surviviors are the trash ones why are killers the ones that get all the favor in balance patches and why do they get mechanics programmed around second chances.
When Entity Blockers and Bloodlust didn't exist, you would get infinite pallet looped with any killer not Nurse, so idk why you bring those in discussion.
