I'd love to see a comment from BHVR on an ETA to get Nurse back. @MandyTalk any hints?
I have actually said on here somewhere, she'll be back Live when the next Chapter releases...there's no plans for a hotfix prior to that.

No items have been removed from the shop as far as I'm aware. It might be worth verifying your game files to double check this.

Closed at OP's request.

I live in trainers so I'm probably not the best person to give advice on shoes (the only other shoes I wear are boots), but go for something well fitting, watch the heel of the shoe as slightly too high can put more pressure on the front of your foot...and the same will happen if the shoe doesn't have the correct heel and arch support (which is what I suspect is happening with you).
I'd recommend going to a sports shop that check your posture and gait as they can give a lot of information about where you require more specialised attention (for example high arches) and then you will have more idea in what to look for in a shoe.
-
yes it takes skill and experience to be good at the game on either side.
Some people will find killer easier and some will find survivor easier, that's not saying it doesn't take skill. To be good at either side requires time in DbD, there's a definitely learning curve...and even the most experienced players are not always great at the game. As whilst they might know the game very well, they don't put that knowledge into practice for whatever reason (yes I count myself in this group).
-
I use We'll Make it quite a bit (I've been changing my loadouts a lot recently to try out new perks), and I think it's a very strong perk - I don't think it's overpowered however.
I think with perks, there's a lot of options and some of those options have less downsides and different ways of playing - why run We'll Make it and only be able to heal someone else after you've unhooked them vs running CoH and everyone can heal whenever they need to, for example.
I run We'll Make It when I'm doing one of my healer/atruistic builds and am playing super unselfishly - I think though, players tend to like to run perks that help them out personally instead of just thinking of the team as a whole, and there's nothing wrong in that, it's just a different way of playing.
-
As long as you're not breaking the game rules, all players should play the game as they want to regardless of what side they play on.
-
Closing this as the OP just seems to want to argue with anyone who disagrees with their points.
Think we've had enough of that, hence closing the previous posts as well.

With all the patience I have, I understand that this is a real problem and that the team is working on it, but it's been more than 3 weeks. This is getting ridiculous, seriously.
I completely understand that and empathise and we are aware at the frustration our players are feeling - all I can do is apologise I'm afraid :(

is that possible that BHVR silently increase map chances for own purposes?
Only when there's some sort of promotion on - for example when Hawkins was being removed and these things we notify the players of
-
It's pretty much normal on the PTB especially after the first day. Less players on the PTB for one thing, and with the new content the majority want to try out killer - so killer queues are always going to take longer as a result.
-
MMR has absolutely nothing to do with map rng. Completely separate systems.

Even when I submit my cloud ID I still haven't got the bubba iridescent shards...
Support are not sending out the shards themselves. There's still work being done on sending the shards to everyone who has received them, which is why we have not advised users to send Support tickets.

During a match I can't remember who was on a different platform - I don't really pay a huge amount of attention to the lobbies in general, I tend to click for a match search and then tab out and check Twitter or something until loading in.
It's rare I'd feel the need to tunnel someone out of a match and I try not to do it, I do tend to slug if I feel that I need to put some pressure on though, as it's a lot quicker to slug someone and chase someone else if they're in the vicinity, but that's irrespective of what platform they are on.

Hmmmm....
(yes, it is piece of history haha)
Basically nothing, as the map is disabled.
I'm actually not even sure if those old offerings even work if the map is not disabled.

I am presuming this is to do when the error 500 was happening for players earlier this month?
If so, as pre the message on the top of the forum, this is an issue that's still being worked on - giving the Auric Cells back to all players that were affected by this problem. I appreciate that this is a long time to wait and I understand the frustration that you are clearly feeling but I'm afraid I do not have an ETA yet on when this will be fully resolved.

I appreciate everyone's feedback, but I don't think most understand the point of the post. I could've been clearer though. I meant does anyone else dodge when they get multiples only because you want to play with mismatched survivors to have that immersive feeling. Not because you think it's a swf or troll squad. I already know that people do that.
I don't dodge a lobby if I think they're a swf or because I see a certain item or think they're gonna be sweaty. I literally only do it when I'm wanting that immersed feeling and wanted to see if anyone else does it only to get that immersed feeling.
Also I appreciate people trying to defend me?
But @MandyTalk was just explaining what happens when a player dodges. She wasn't saying I have to do something or play a certain way, she was just giving an explanation of what happens.
Which, they already said they were working to improve backfill issues, so just kinda waiting on that to see how that goes. Hopefully very near future 👀👀👀@Mandibuttsg
Thank you for understanding what I was saying.
I do understand your reasoning - it's the whole not seeing two of the same character unless you imagine they're twins,or triplets! It's the theme more than the player you are dodging.
-
must admit I love seeing the jumpscares that people have had from this, I was waiting for the comments and videos to start yesterday.
-
I don't lobby dodge no. Also Lobby dodging with MMR is actually more of an issue, because that group is then created, waiting and is going to cause more backfill issues - ie, a killer who's MMR is significantly lower can then end up in that dodged lobby.
-
I'm hoping the tentative fix worked on the PTB, will be checking in tomorrow for feedback to see here if it's helped.
-
OMG I remember you said about this lol
Major props for you for going through with this...hope you're feeling ok though <3
-
Any positions we have available are advertised on our website: https://www.bhvr.com/jobs/
-
When PTB's are released, they are only released on the Steam platform. So I'm afraid on Epic you won't have access to a PTB.
-
The process is still ongoing as of now, they are going out in waves
-
Nurse will be back most likely in the next patch which will be due in March.
-
Reports are not taken on the forums. If you have the need to report a player and you are trying to send the evidence to Support, it's best to upload the video to youtube (you can keep this unlisted) and put the video link on the Support form.

Then don't complain about Boil Over when you have a way to counter it.....Boil Overs soul purpose is to make carrying survivors difficult. Iron Grasp helps when other survivors try to body block you as well. If you still don't want to use Iron Grasp and see Boil Over and you can't reach a hook just slug them.
Yes I have heard that controllers have a harder time with wiggle mechanics so why not use a perk to help midigate it a little bit. I use Boil Over and it become a normal struggle against a Killer with Iron Grasp.
The issue that people are complaining about, is that they shouldn't have to use a perk slot for the sole reason they are on a specific platform.

If someone has stopped being a friend with you just because you are bad at games I’d say they weren’t a friend. I couldn’t see any one above the age of 12 doing this.
Definitely this!
I'm boosted at all games, I enjoy playing games and don't really care if I'm good or bad at them - my friends still enjoy playing games with me though because they are actual friends who enjoy spending time with me (and me them of course).
If people have stopped being friends with you just because you're not great at a game, they really were never friends at all - and count yourself lucky that you've found out now tbh. As those are not people that you could rely on. I hope you find some good friends, who'll enjoy playing with you, regardless of whether you are good or bad <3

The block option is working - the block option is for chat messages only, it is not meant to block you from matchmaking with those players, nor will it be designed to.
With regards to the reporting - the things you mentioned there are not actionable reports....meaning they are not against the game rules, as a survivor you do not HAVE to make a save on another player, you can do a generator right next to the hook, it's down to the survivor if they want to make a save or not. It's of course better to, but it is in no way mandatory - so those reports would not be actioned.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules the game rules are here if there's anything you are not sure of.
-
It might stay in Markdown temporarily whilst we resolve these issues or not - a few changes might happen this afternoon - just trying to resolve things here.

Am changing a few things around right now, please just bear with me, trying to work a solution in for the recent events.

Sure, but that's hardly a SAFETY issue.
I used safety in that context, re mental health safety.
it was also 5am for me

Fair enough, I'm just trying to provide solutions other than just removing images entirely, because I'm pretty sure that's what the mods will do.
I'm trying to avoid that option, I implemented further measures tonight to keep this place safe, because NOBODY deserves to see those images, not the users on this forum and not the moderators either.
I'm looking for a longer term solution and working with the hosting company so that we can avoid this person coming back time and time again to do this.
Images are important here, for practical things such as bug reports, technical issues etc and because we love to see the animal posts and the screenshots when you want to explain something. But we have to consider safety of our users and our mods above everything right now. Please rest assured this is something we're taking very seriously.

Just finished a match against the Nurse. So she's not disabled?
if someone still had their game open etc it would not have altered. They would need to restart their game.
-
This is something that has been brought up and is under discussion afaik....it never used to affect the save before, so I cannot confirm if this is a bug or not as yet.
-
We just updated the in-game news plus the forum killswitch post to confirm that the Nurse has been killswitched due to the grab animation bug - thank you for all your help.

Happened 3 out of 6 games to me yesterday. Had to DC all 3 times, because it happened at 5 gens. The matchmaking ban was shorter than waiting for the survivors to finish. How about disabling post-blink grabs until the issue is fixed in the meantime? It would basically always force an M1 after a blink, instead of a grab, which leads to this soft-lock situation. Seems like a good band-aid solution until this gets properly patched.
that would involve a full reprogramme including animations etc. That probably wouldn't be possible to push at a stand alone temp fix.
-
I'm on the side of leaving them to try to find the hatch. Piggy knows where the boxes are so clearly will patrol those with an active trap in play, so giving them the chance ot find the hatch is probably the better option.
-
It's good to see that people are starting to get them after this round
-
And from a personal point of view, when playing Survivor I would rather the killer have information and chase perks rather than slowdown perks. Also giving location information so that the killer can leave the hooked survivor is far more preferable than the killer staying around the hooked area - so I'm perfectly fine with BBQ.
I also use it as a killer, that information can be very important for the flow of the game.

Okay and I can do this all day too. BBQ and chili is OP. Killers have a speed boost that is wildy ridiculous that NO survivor can outrun it. We have to mend ourselves in a chase or die, we have to take traps off our head sometimes 4-5 times. So yeah I fo think killers have some advantages that are just not fair or that should be powered down
You never have to mend in chase because whilst you keep running your mend bar doesn't decrease for one thing.

I didn't mean to make it sound simple, I am sure there are many other situations than just one going on. I've been a dev for 16+ years and I know the pains of trying to capture every situation in a single database query. I know it seems simple to us players, but I'm sure it's been more difficult than anticipated. I was just offering what may be one of many situations. I trust I'll get them eventually, after all Valentines day is coming up and my birthday shortly after. More shards is a welcome gift 😂
At least people on this thread seem to be getting their shards right now in this latest wave.
Hopefully it will account for the majority of players if not all...but please rest assured that everyone who was due shards will get them.
-
@_RupTurE_ said:
I have not received my shards yet either.
I suspect in a number of cases that the issue revolves around linked accounts with BHVR, Steam, Epic etc.
The only logical reason I can think of why I have not got my shards, even though I meet the criteria is as follows.
I have my Epic account linked with Steam on my BHVR account. I've played bubba tons of times on Steam but 0 times on Epic. maybe this could be useful info for the team @MandyTalk I know at the time I talked with PaulieEsther who had not got his shards he said he had linked as well and not played bubba on Epic. I know it's a long shot but the only idea I could think of.
I appreciate the assistance here, unfortunately it's not that simple - some people do not have their accounts linked, nor have never linked them and they still don't have their shards.
This is something still being worked on, it's not forgotten about - I just want to reassure people on that, you will get your shards if you met the criteria of playing Leatherface before the last mid chapter. The process is taking longer than expected and we are still sending out shards. I am so very sorry for the delay that some people have faced with this.

@Aranisse said:
Can we get at least some news about this bug? are you all still working on it or what? i even send a ticket but no reply still
It is still being looked into, the messaging on top of the forum does confirm that. I do appreciate the situation and apologise for the delays.
