@GoshJosh can you explain exactly what happened please because I want to make sure I'm understanding it right.
You should still be able to move when snapping out of it, it should break that - I've started snapping out of it in a chase before now when I had a second to spare and then carried on running whilst breaking out of snapping out of it, you just stop pressing M1 then move as normal.
You can't do things like work on gens or heal, sabo, search chests etc but you should still be able to move.
-
Hit Validation has not been disabled and is still active.
-
I suggest you contact Support directly for this issue https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
-
I definitely think if there is one on this map, it's been the one that's taken the longest to find
-
Huntress is also very good addonless. A lot depends on how well a person plays with a particular character tbh.
-
It will come to Switch, but I cannot confirm a date yet I'm afraid. As soon as we can confirm this date I am sure we will announce this.
-
My queue times are dependent on the time of day I play, so I just adjust my role to suit.
The reason that killers are locked into their character is due to the MMR, and whilst it's still not active, it means that when it is active it can be implemented without having to update the game and make further changes.
As a killer, I don't really change my build regardless of the survivors in the lobby, items don't bother me as I figure items are easily found in game anyway, so it makes no difference. I run the build that I feel comfortable with and works to my playstyle on that particular killer.
-
yes I played this last week, it's pretty fun - looking forward to see how it gets developed further.
-
I have not yet seen anything on YouTube etc showing that anyone has found it...or if it's even on the map.
-
I'm not a fan of playing against Hag because of the particular playstyle that a lot of Hags choose - ya know the many traps around the hook type of Hags, which do lead to an unfun playing experience.
A friend of mine plays Hag perkless and addonless because he's a very good Hag player and playing against his Hag is a lot of fun, despite the fact that I always die. It's just that so many Hags do play in an unfun way.
-
Hit Validation prioritises the people with better pings to a server - so yes if your ping is 70 and mine for example is 30, then my actions would be prioritised...it's done in the interest of fairness, as previously it was purely on the killers connection to the server. Your connection to the server is partly due to distance, the nearer you are to a server the better your ping (if your internet is decent and you're not on wifi).
Dead Hard has already been discussed and this perk will be looked into as it doesn't seem to work as intended on Dedicated Servers.
-
After testing this, I don't think flashlights are bugged - seems to be more of an issue with WGLF. I got stacks when I blinded the killer but the killer was in the animation phase so shouldn't drop the survivor anyway, I also did early blinds which wouldn't drop the survivor and again got WGLF stacks - afaik you should only get a stack when you successfully blind the killer AND save the survivor at the same time of which the timing is a lot more precise.
-
It's all about learning the timing, I tend to do it when the killer is slightly to the side of the locker that way they're in range of the Head On and they don't have the prompt to open the locker. I don't really have a problem with lag in games, on the rare occasions I do, I just jump out slightly before I normally would and I still get the stun, the hit box is pretty large.
-
@ChurchofPig thank you so much. I've taken the link and will pass it to the team on Monday...with Christmas next week, I doubt if it will get adjusted on the holiday time I'm afraid.
-
I don't have this issue when I play with an Elodie in the game or when I play as her - any chance someone can get a brief recording of it please? And also what platform this is on.
-
I think it's like everything, everyone has their opinion on what they like/dislike in the game - I think for the majority though, chases are the most fun part...it's definitely my favourite part of the game playing as both a killer or survivor.
So I can understand it when people feel denied at their favourite part of the game. Especially for survivors where the other option for them is repairing generators - interactions between other survivors and the killer is the most fun part of the game personally.
-
Don't suppose you have a recording of this and was the survivor using Object of Obsession or anything like that?
-
As well as the good advice above, people seem to forget about lockers against the Tantrum - I've got away from quite a few hopping into a nearby locker during the tantrum. Most of the time yes I am running Head On so lockers are frequently on my mind, but it's definitely a counterplay to him.
Other than that, try to never find yourself in a completely open spot against a Bubba, cos otherwise you will go down.
-
Female purely because I find the movement smoother on some characters than others, it's probably purely in my head, it just feels smoother to me...plus I prefer the cosmetics I have for that character.
-
It varies a lot for me, during the night I get super fast survivor matches and my killer queues are longer, then during the day it's reversed.
-
Agree with @Aven_Fallen on this. I do think it's pointless to allow the last survivor a chance to escape the hook because the killer is not going to leave the hook, and nor will they pick you up after downing you cos of DS, even having unbreakable is not really going to be a help as you can just be downed again instantly. It just seems like a massive waste of time.
If you're running Deliverance and can see that your team are falling, then you can really afford to get involved more in the match and save a team mate a hook state by taking hits for them (as long as you've made a safe save at least), that way you're giving them the chance to heal up and be in a better position to survive the trial.
-
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you and yours too @Mushwin hope you have a great time and stay safe and well <3
-
Sorry but there's no way to be able to do this I'm afraid, it would be great if something like this were implemented though.
-
I'd like 3 killer and 3 survivor dailies and I would like a lot more bloodpoints, also I wouldn't mind different variations in the 3 challenges - so easy/medium/hard with each one giving progressively more bloodpoints. I think we all basically do our challenges purely for the BP, it's the only time I play Nurse for example (and I play her very badly!)
-
I really don't think BT needs any sort of a rework at all, I think it's in a good place right now. Before when it protected both players it was incredibly strong - now it helps out the person who was hooked, which is the one that needed the assistance.
I don't normally see BT in my games as killer as if someone rushes towards the hook when I hook a survivor I immediately go for them anyway so they're effectively down a perk. It's on a rare occasion that they will successfully "Jen Tech" the survivor they've saved (dead harded to make me hit the recently unhooked survivor to proc BT), most of the players who go for the rushed save get downed pretty much instantly, so I hook them instead.
-
Well done on noticing that stutter @Bwsted I only noticed that replaying it slowly. Hard to tell whether hack or glitch sometimes I think. Strange that the game still registered you as chasing the Kate though.
But I will say, anyone who's unsure about a situation like that if it happens in your match, please feel free to make a report, people with more knowledge on this than I will make the decision.
-
It's one of those things, sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't...if someone is being chased and a survivor has 99'd the gate and left it, it really doesn't help because the survivor has to stop to open the gate mid chase in order to escape. It depends on the end situation as to whether I will 99 it or not.
BUT, it's not other players place to get upset at the way you played - you have to play your own way.
-
I think because Nurse's skillcap is probably the highest there is a huge sense of achievement when you get really good at her and don't use add ons or perks etc. The one that comes the closest to me is Huntress and I would still play her with Bitter Murmur (I can't play her without it!).
-
@Komodo16 You were talking about a specific case where someone's account was hacked via Steam - which is what I've answered to. I'm not in a position to discuss a hypothetical hacking situation through our servers as that has never happened and there's no precedent for it. That would be an issue to be taken up with Support.
-
Yes @Rydog the server tick rate is back to 60
And if there's issues with the hit validation I really do recommend putting a thread where everyone can comment into the feedback section of the forum.
-
It's definitely on. And it's definitely supposed to prioritise the player with the lowest ping - that could be either the survivor or the killer, so yes sometimes hits aren't going to feel as fluid due to this.
-
yeah possibly you did confuse the two, cos Diversion definitely regenerates whilst hooked and/or downed.
-
From Steams ToS - it's very clear that your account is your responsibility. This is the same for all platforms, hence I would always advise never to give your information to anyone and to always have 2 factor authentication on.
-
@Yamaoka said:
What do you mean by "I have had hits reset as killer" ?
You hit a survivor and nothing happens or you hit them with a successful hit animation but they were still at full health ?
^^ exactly what's said here please, the more information the better - thank you.
-
If you believe you've found a bug please make a report here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs - I suggest searching first to see if the bug you wish to report has already been reported by another player, if it has please vote up the issue and add any extra information you think relevant. Please provide as much information on a bug report as possible, including platform, description of the problem as well as video evidence if possible.
-
No that's the way the perk has always been, no tokens for dying state or hooked...unless it was previously bugged and then debugged but that's definitely the way it's intended to be and the way I remember it working.
-
It's done for memes normally.
I don't last second switch (a lot of killers do dodge though) but when I want to SWF we do this, just for the fun of it.
Currently we will play as Dwelf due to the holiday season.
-
We do not discuss bans on the forum, this is between you and Support.
And @SunderMun Steam make it very clear that your account and the security of it, is your responsibility, that's the same for every platform.
-
I just tested this in game and found no issue with the stun time, tried after a grab and a regular pick up. If it does happen again please make a bug report so it can be investigated further, but for me it was definitely the regular stun time.
-
There is already a bug report listed on this issue.
-
None at all? Can you give more details, what platform etc?
-
There are good and bad players on all platforms, please don't single out players from one platform in this manner - we promote inclusivity on the forum.
Also, people have the right to play the game as they want (within the rules of course), and with using whatever perks they want to use - those perks are in the game, so they can use them. It's not up to anyone to say what can be used by other players.
-
I can't access my console to check it - any chance anyone can grab me a recording of this, I've not heard anyone on PC say that the scream increased since the last patch, so really want to check it out.
-
the pun 😥
-
I'm sorta in agreement with Moundshroud here, I don't really mind being flashlighted at a pallet because I can still hear where they're going and they're wasting battery at that point especially if they try to chain blind. And flashlight saves are pretty rare against me, I remember to look at walls or check the area if I know a survivor with a flashlight is in the match.
I really don't think this is about "how strong survivor has to be or how weak killer has to be" both sides have things that are strong, and a lot of the times there's counters to this ie Lightborn if you see a full flashlight squad in the lobby.
-
I must admit I do this a lot anyway in game, I did it on the Round the Campfire stream when Cahla was playing Killer against me, I set up a nice "shop" in the shack with all my loots, when Not_Queen didn't steal it all :)
It's little fun things like this that I love about DbD so much!
-
I tested this out a bit last night and I did find the 3 seconds a bit too long, I am sure it's something that can be adjusted by the team if need be though.
-
Yes, as Deadeye correctly said, this needs to be a bug report - but this particular bug has already been reported.
-
@Canas we're having trouble reproducing this - I'm in a match now and Plague is able to puke on the exit gates switch. Do you have a video or anything to show what is happening?
