If you want a refund you need to contact the platform that you purchased the game on as they have their individual refund policies - for example Steams is within 14 days of purchase and less than 2 hours of playtime.
Sadly, the system is not able to tell between someone DC'ing intentionally or by accident due to their internet connection (nor will it ever most probably because of how easy it is to just disconnect the internet from your device).
-
yes hit validation is currently switched on.
-
The DC penalty is there to stop players from DC'ing in game when there's something there that they particularly don't like - for example losing a totem as a killer, not the killer you want to play against as a survivor. None of those are valid reasons for leaving the game which is why we've now got the DC penalty.
If there's an IRL emergency you are still able to leave the match using the correct way and only incur a 5 minute penalty which, if something is an emergency is a very minimal amount of time that you will hardly notice.
When you ready up in that lobby you commit to playing that game, otherwise you are ruining the game for the other players who do want to play the game.
-
Yepp there are, you can hear them squeaking and in one of the bathrooms for sure you can spot them.
-
The rats on Lerys already freak me out and I am sure that one on Hawkins sells me out on purpose anyway :I
-
@myers_obsession it's ok, I've been giggling for half an hour straight about it.
-
It happens regularly whenever there's a new Chapter release or when something is changed in the game.
Also, a lot are not new accounts, they've been created for quite some time but maybe the poster felt this was the time for them to post something instead of lurking.
-
I'm going to blush in a minute!
-
@konchok that would effectively be the same thing. Problem is you can be a Rank 1 on one killer, where do you start on the other killer - Rank 20 is obviously out. So having the MMR system that takes into consideration the skill of the player makes a lot of sense.
-
This is one of the issues that the MMR is hoping to address, so that whilst you're not great at Billy but might be a god tier Trapper for example, you will be put against survivors within that skill rank for the particular killer that you are playing in that match.
-
All we can say on this is that it's something we want to implement but it's not something we can implement as of now, so the decision about whether it will be worth you purchasing the DLC's on your PC is going to be down to you I'm afraid. I can't give any further information than what we've already said I'm afraid.
-
Rank doesn't really mean a great deal to me personally on either side, it just means that the game has been played a bit. Especially with only going back to purple ranks at rank reset, it's only a few matches before you're in red ranks again. I've seen good & bad players in red ranks and I've seen some skilled ones in lower ranks (they just don't play the game that much).
-
please notice the box says size/layout. For example Autohaven is purely layout changes, I think there's only one map that's had a size reduction and it was pretty minor
-
I'm waiting until I have some time off during Christmas before I play it, plus I'm having the game as a Christmas present anyway - so I've not started it yet, so trying to avoid hearing everything about it, is not easy!!
-
Map size hasn't change, maps haven't been made bigger or smaller.
-
I'm looking forward to it @Dabihwow 😍

Quick Update: Almost done with one of the other three short stories. I've been trying to be very secretive about leaks that I might actually go back and get rid of some of the stuff from the Old things I mentioned of before. I don't like spoilers, do you? I sure don't...anywho I'm still looking for a publisher, or an Illustrator, so if you know anyone let me know please and thank you. I would like to thank @Wamps , @MandyTalk , and others for inspiring me to continue to work on this project. I hope everyone else is doing good, I'm feeling down now, I sadly discovered that My Aunt and Uncle both have Covid, I am also scared for my younger cousins they live with. I just hope they make full recovery and they stay healthy. But I'm trying not to think on it, I thank you all for the support and I'll see you in the fog. Oh wait hang on I have to ask ya'll, do you have time to come to be at my best pal Samuel Rays' birthday? He's lonely today, lets go to him and surprise him what to do you say? We have Games, we have pinatas most of all we have a special guest as well.
( Why am I writing that last part, is it just for fun or am I giving a hint?)
I'm so sorry that your Aunt and Uncle both have covid, I wish them a speedy and full recovery and that your little cousins stay healthy - you too of course. And now I'm interested in that little teaser you dropped there!! :)
And thank you @Wamps for the kind words, I do try my best <3

I'm liking your positivity, we need more of this!

Which was specifically addressing the OP and the speed bugs. Which was the topic of the discussion.
-
@supersonic853 I specifically address the comment with regards to speed bugs from the original poster.
-
The problem with speed bugs that people keep talking about is perception - I've not yet seen evidence of a speed bug yet, despite numerous posts nobody is able to provide proof and we've tested Legion in particular and found that the speed is correct but that his FOV was bugged, which gives the perception of moving slower. I even tested myself to try to replicate the issue but have had no luck.
So it's not about ignoring bugs but if we're unable to replicate them and we don't even have proof of said bug, then it's not the easiest thing to find out what's wrong.
-
P3 Quentins, they are my nemesis!
-
Did you have the items in your hand as you died? Did the killer have Franklins Demise etc?
-
It's actually one of my favourite map changes (not saying favourite map) but I think the changes made to that map are really good. It's still a little buggy, rocks spawning in wrong areas etc but the overall look of that map is a lot better than it was previously.
-
I don't think it's ever been said that the change had anything to do with keys, that's just something that's been assumed and then taken as fact, when it's not.
People choose to run whatever perks they want, I will still run Appraisal because I love to loot and this is still giving me more chance to do that.
-
I think splitting up is smart play from the survivors anyway, the killer cannot be in 4 places at once hence I will rarely do a generator with another survivor during a match unless it's a particularly strategic gen that needs to get completed (ie to prevent a 3 gen strat).

I'm talking about a ping indicator for the killer that you can see in the pre game lobby and ingame.
Also,a personal ping indicator as part of the in game UI would be pretty useful too.
You can't always look it up in the menu.
I really would like a ping indicator in the lobbies, showing all players ping so all players can see every other players ping as well.

you should be the one filing the reports not the mods here though it's great they do that for you, but honestly it's better for the one reporting it to file it and thus allow the dev team to talk directly to you if they have questions
It's actually not too bad as we're the ones that often take reports back to the team and we have all the relevant information so if anything else is required it will likely come via me anyway.
-
@SunderMun funny you mention Blight, cos I just had a clip of Blight hitting from very far away as well. Might be something to look into.
-
I was going to say, that didn't look normal at all
I don't get vaults that fast!
-
@lucid4444 actually I'm a Community Coordinator for BHVR, so not a forum mod. But you are right I'm not a Dev but I do speak for them and I do have the information directly from them
-
We don't have an update on when it will be reimplemented yet I'm afraid, we will communicate when a date is confirmed.
-
I keep hearing that Legion is bugged with Feral Frenzy, but I am seeing absolutely no evidence of it. I have seen evidence of people on this forum who've done their own tests and said that Feral Frenzy is fine @shalo for example made a very helpful "side by side" video showing that the speed was fine.
If people do have evidence of an issue with Frenzy, please make a bug report.
-
Thank you @shalo for taking the time to do that, it's much appreciated
-
IF you come across any bugs, please make a bug report here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs
-
@SunderMun we're thinking the same thing!
-
Legion was tested, and his speed showing to be 5.2m/s in Frenzy on Live Build but that his FOV was off and that gave the appearance that they were a lot slower than they were. I'm hearing reports of people saying that they're still slow, but not seen any evidence of that at all, and then more reports that show the speed is fine.
I've given the information to the team anyway who I am sure will double check.
-
I've let the team know @Crypticghoul I know they tested it thoroughly before this hotfix and couldn't find an issue, that's why this is so problematic. I've told them again that we're having reports of the speed not being right in Frenzy so I am sure they will give it another look into. It's really weird, I'm having people saying it's fine and people saying it's not and no evidence which is the first thing I'm going to get asked for.
Hopefully we'll get some video evidence to show something.
-
@Warcrafter4 I don't know what they use to test with, I know they have various builds - and one of them is the live builds and using that it showed Legion as being 5.2m/s. That's why I can't agree he's bugged and have requested proof from those who've said he is because we have been unable to replicate that.
-
@h0lden I can only say what I've been told and what I've been able to replicate myself - which is why I asked if any of you are able to replicate it and provide proof as our tests all show they are running at their correct speed of 5.2m/s whilst in frenzy.
-
I know they move at an increased speed in Frenzy - they moves at 5.2m/s, I never disagreed with that. I'm saying I've seen no evidence that their speed is not that currently, I've even tested it myself by running in a straight line with and without frenzy and timing it and it's definitely faster in Frenzy.
The team investigated Legion prior to the hotfix and found the Frenzy speed not to be an issue only the FOV which was fixed in this update. If people have evidence that this isn't the case, that's a different thing, but as yet I've seen no evidence and am unable to replicate it myself.
-
I often use Devour Hope anyway, not a massive fan of Rancor personally...but Devour Hope I love to play with. I also enjoy playing against it as a Survivor, I know it's risky because it's a Hex but I don't mind taking the chance on it.
-
If you believe you've found a bug, please report here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs thank you.

siriously Mandy, this makes moris useless and this decision make me mad. No one will investigate 7000 BP for this offering. Also make it from red to brown pls ... it´s an unfair change and another slap in killer´s face. Whats next ? Nerf Undying, nerf camping, nerf tunneling nerf everything ? ....im out for today ...absl horrible
I think we have different definitions of useless...by using a mori even after a second hooking you are still saving yourself the flashlight save attempts, pallet stun save attempts, firecracker save attempts, sabo save attempts, plus the survivor won't be able to body block a hook - nor do you lose a strategic hook as no survivor would have died on the hook so no permanent hook loss. That to me sounds far from useless.
Edited to add - not forgetting DS.
-
Or if you look at it the other way, the Developers are neither survivor or killer sided and make the changes purely based on game health - same when putting in mechanics that affected survivors, like the toolbox changes, adding in exhaustion, healing changes. With keys being infinitely more complicated to change, rather than the simple condition change for Mori, and it improving the health of the game it does seem completely logical to put that change into place as quickly as possible rather than wait until the key change was ready to be released.
-
@Pepsidot said:
This is a good change. Whereas before I'd hardly use Mori's, I see myself using them whenever now. Not particularly as an advantage over survivors with DS, but just for the mori animation's themselves.
Perhaps the developers could even monetize Mori animation's now. I was wary of suggesting this as it would only encourage more unfair Mori offerings. However, now that they're basically purely for viewing pleasure (besides somewhat countering DS), it'd be cool to see a range of different Mori animations for individual killers.
must admit I'd love to see some new mori animations - I don't mind if I have to purchase them either.
-
@GeordieKiller I speak for them in this, as of right now we are not able to give out the date of when there will be a change made to keys.
-
@Crypticghoul I did check that, and I can't see the issue - it looked like the correct speed especially as the Bill had Sprint Burst.
-
We've not given a date as to when a change will be made to keys.
-
As far as I'm aware (and I did test the movement speed) the issue was purely visual due to the decreased fov.
