Hey dev's can we expect the key rework to be released at least in the next chapter?
Now that it's obvious that the changes to key's will happen soon players will be using them more frequently until the rework hits. We can already see this happening and it will be like this for awhile.
Honestly i would prefer it if the key rework can come out in the next mid chapter patch along side the clowns rework so both sides have something to try out. I just hope we don't have to wait 6 or more months to get the changes since we will have to deal with the increased key usage from players expecting them to be nerfed.

We've not given a date as to when a change will be made to keys.
Oh well, i know you guys don't have the authority to give out that kind of info hopefully we can get an answer in the next Q&A.
Anyway to get the devs to respond? even if it just a brief post or message this is getting really heated and it can help smooth things abit
@GeordieKiller I speak for them in this, as of right now we are not able to give out the date of when there will be a change made to keys.
sometimes one of them comment on a popular or interesting post but no we have no good way to talk to them. you can always give them info or suggestions but getting actual info like what i'm asking is almost impossible unless they want to provide it and that's usually done in streams.

I have low expectations that the keys will be changed any time soon.
If they were going to change them any time soon, they could have just made both changes at the same time, and avoided a lot of the mess going on now with the Mori change on its own. So the key changes aren't happening soon enough to hold off on the Mori change.
They can't just patch willy-nilly because iirc, consoles won't let you update that often.
There's no telling how long we will have to wait for the changes to the keys.
i would expect if mori's could be tuned out in a hotfix just out of the blue, keys could be removed from chests just as easily. Chests are basically a loot table no? that would be an easy temp fix until the "more complex" change is done
That doesn't fix the issues of keys though, just makes them more rare. They're going to do a full rework, maybe add-on pass, of keys, according to @MandyTalk, which naturally takes longer than a numerical change.
But, you're at least working on it, right?
they are a lot of key responses from mods mention animations, addons, and such as to why keys are taking longer to change then mori's.
while it may be awhile they are definitely working on a key rework.
i said removing them from chests is a compromise until they are reworked.. if you can delete moris at a whim you can delete keys from chests
So then why was this Mori change done now? Why haven't keys been worked on in the last 3 years but we get new generator animations for survivors? Why was this put into a HOTFIX with no warning?
