Please complete a bug report with as much information as possible, thank you.
-
Thank you for your well thought out and constructive feedback.

I believe that the speed was never the issue - he was actually the same speed as before but the FOV caused it to look much slower, so there looked like there was no speed increase during Frenzy

Mories destroyed the game. Keys do that as well, but not as hardcore as the "old" mori. I liked Otzdarvas suggestion better, that all 4 survivors should be hooked once before you could start mori them.
A question, what if a survivor get to 2nd hookstage on the first hook, is he moriable?
In answer to your question yes, you can mori if the survivor is on their 2nd hook stage even after one hooking
(And I am sure I've worded that badly, but we've made it clear on the patch notes now)
-
If I find keys in a lobby, I put on Franklins. There's outplay there for the killer, plus keys have a lot of conditions to complete before they become super useful in the game, unlike the way mori's were. They are really not comparable in the slightest.
-
Mori's have been an offering that's been complained about for a long time (as are keys), and we declared some time back that we would be making adjustments to both of these items. We didn't say it would be the same time, in fact the key rework is going to take some time longer as the mori was a much quicker fix to implement as it was just a change of conditions whilst keys might need an animation rework, addon pass etc
Also, it's fair to say that mori's are stronger than keys - a mori can end a match much quicker than a key can as there's more conditions to being able to use a key, gens have to be completed or the killer has to have killed the other survivors etc, there's infinitely more gameplay around keys than there is mori's - perks also can affect keys, whereas there's no counterplay to a mori at all.
-
No this isn't a survivor vs killer thing. Mori's were always stronger than keys - keys have a lot more conditions to be able to use them than mori's ever did. Also, this tweak to mori's is much quicker/easier to implement then the change to keys - this will happen (we already said previously we were looking at keys), but it's not going to happen right now.

How about we deactivate them from the game like the old moon bouquets offerings?
Keys account for approximately 2% of escapes only and have a lot of conditions met before more than one survivor can escape with a key due to the hatch conditions - a good portion of the game has to be completed before the hatch even spawns. That was completely different to mori's which were one hook and then mori'd.
-
There is no bias! Keys are much more difficult to change and this will happen at a future date. The Mori change is adjusting the change in conditions and was much quicker/easier to fix. We have already said that keys would change in the future.
-
Keys are much more complicated to be changed, a change will come but not for some time in the future.
Mori's were much easier as this is just a "tweak" really to the conditions of the mori.
-
That's purely random. IF MMR is in the background it's just collecting data at this point, it is not having any effect on matchmaking at all.
-
We are unable to help you here on the forum, this is between you and Support.
-
As well as the obvious camping advantage, it's also a time thing - it takes longer for a survivor to get rescued from the basement than it does a regular hook. That's longer they are off generators as well then. Of course it also works both ways, it takes longer for a killer to take the survivor to the basement in a lot of cases - it's why I will always use the faster hook, even if the basement is available, because I'm very aware of the time it will take for me to hook someone in the basement, walk back out and try to get into another chase.
-
It's still not something bannable. And if that happens, it's a win situation for the killer - immediately breaking one of the strongest pallets in the game.
-
There's no confirmed information with regards to the MMR right now, it was removed because it wasn't working as well as intended and until the issues can be sorted with it, it will not be reimplemented.
-
It's not worth reporting people who use a map offering, it's not something we are banning for and it's impossible to prove that they're even aware of the bug.
It's just wasting the time of the people who deal with the reports, and as you can imagine false reports take up time, and prevent the team from dealing with actionable reports.
-
Thank you for keeping this topic/discussion mostly civilised. This is a very sensitive topic for many people and all too often it gets out of hand and I'm really pleased that this thread is continuing to be positive and people are discussing things maturely.
Also, remember the topic of the thread isn't about whether or not representation should be in the game - I think we're all past that by now, as representation is already in the game in some forms, but what particular representation is desired to be next.
-
Why do I feel that this is going round and round in a circle?š
Noctis, please refer to what I said earlier in the thread where I said that this is definitely bannable and IS something we ban for.
-
I think representation plays a massive part of it. Honestly the video of Friskk when she saw the new survivor, Elodie and how she felt about it nearly reduced me to tears as her happiness and what it meant for her, was so clearly visible.
It's fine if you don't feel the need to be represented in a game, but not everyone feels the same - and there's no reason why people's wants/needs/desires/ should be excluded in that matter.
-
I don't think it's something that's going to be changed. Otherwise all other perks would have to be adjusted to maintain consistency - and things like NOED on a pigs dash, Huntress hatchet etc is going to be way too strong imo.
-
I think that we should definitely have a new Survivor - people really enjoy playing as the new Survivors in the game, hence the amount of Elodie's I'm seeing right now. Plus the perks that the character brings with them.
Whilst it's true that the killer brings the biggest change - change of powers etc, new survivors also bring about changes in meta etc with their new perks etc.
-
I'm going to add something to this - IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW THE GAME WAS PLAYED, HOW THICK SOMEONE'S SKIN IS/ISN'T - THERE'S NEVER ANY EXCUSE TO BE RACIST/HOMOPHOBIC/MAKE DEATH THREATS.
Anything else other than that statement is completely irrelevant. Just because you don't like how a match was played, does not give anyone the right or the reason to say such things in the after game chat or on someone's profile.
-
You can use family sharing or even buy the game again - this is not bannable.
-
I like the look of Autohaven and have no issue with the lighting at all. I do find more dead zones on this map. I wonder if the lighting changes more on the different settings, I play on Ultra and it all seems fine to me.
-
I get the frustration of the long code, I really do - that's especially a nightmare on console.
However, Twitch drops isn't exactly a new thing and has been happening with many games on Twitch for a long time now and this is not really any different to that. So I do fail to see why there's such a big issue over this. It's purely optional, those that want the charm can watch a stream and with the amount of codes are pretty much guaranteed to get one at some point and those that don't want the charm do not have to participate.
-
These two things are not comparable in the slightest. Skins are designed and scheduled a long time in advance...bugs have to be found, recreated then a fix has to be implemented, it's not always a fast process especially when the bug affects other things. So to say it's a matter of "priorities" is very disingenuous.
-
When reports are made properly, they are actioned! Many people get banned permanently and temporary - of course temporary ones do not show on a person's profile, chat offences are most likely going to be a temporary ban as well.
It's a complete myth that we only ban those players that play against the Devs or Streamers, and that myth needs to really stop being perpetuated around the forums, as it does put people off reporting players.
I get that reporting people is not fun and that there's evidence that needs to be supplied and I do wish that there was an easier way of doing this but to say that we don't ban people is completely incorrect.
-
I actually disagree with the whole "epic skin" I think it will make for many unhealthy playstyles.
Ranking up is currently pretty easy to do on both sides and really isn't an indication of skill at all, and increasing the amount of ranks is just going to make matchmaking even harder - as there'll be more variables to take into account.
Hopefully the MMR system will be able to be reimplemented at some point in the future which will help with matchmaking and keep people of the same skill level more or less together.
-
For the whole "die" comment yes you can most certainly report that - it needs to be done in game though, as I am sure you can imagine screenshots can be manipulated but chat logs cannot be and when you report in game, these are then logged. Plus we need to ensure the match took place and that the right people are getting punished.
As for the comments on your Steam profile, that would be something to take up with Steam - we do not take action on something that is outside of the game.
-
Sorry the game is no longer to your liking, I hope you find something else you enjoy playing.
-
Sorry that you had a match like this, I do hope you reported the for the words that they used at a minimum.

Victor looks like a baby. Anyone who doesn't keep up with the lore -- i.e. 99% of players -- is going to just use whatever shorthand they think makes sense for the Twins, and "baby" is an easy go-to because that's what he's visually reminiscent of. I try to refer to them as "the brother" or "the sister" as shorthand -- but whatever the case, I imagine Discord mods really ought to take this into consideration, given that this is in reference to a thing that exists in the game.
It's not in the hands of the Discord mods, that's the point - it's Discord ToS, Discord are very strict about what has to be done with regards to people breaking their rules...and anything connected to child abuse has to be dealt with, and sadly there are people that regularly cross the line with the comments.

Jesus, is this really a problem? It looks like a ######### baby, it sounds like a ######### baby, and it even goes inside charlotte like a freaking baby kangaroo, so why people cannot call it a baby or a kid? It's a video game, doesn't represent reality, is like people complaining for violence against animals on GTA V.
It's a videogame, and does not promote any sort of violence against kids in real life.
If anyone think that it does, then that person and/or entity is plain stupid.
It's a problem for Twitch and Discord yes, because of their Terms of Service...that's something you need to take up with them.
-
I have checked on this. And the actual measurement on the slider is exactly the same as before just with a different number (but the in game effect is exactly the same)...this was done as 0% resolution is actually not a thing (you wouldn't be able to see anything for example) so this is reflective of what it used to be as 0% which is the lowest setting the game can go. So it's made no difference to your hardware or your FPS in game, if you're having fps drops it's not connected to the slider or 65% resolution in anyway.

Basically I think there's a Twitch rule that prohibits depicting violence against children. Therefore Behaviour really, REALLY doesn't want to have to deal with problems on Twitch and other platforms from people mistaking Victor for a child since he honestly looks like a feral carnivorous monstrous baby from hell. That's why they're being extremely careful to emphasize Victor isn't a child and are trying to push to make sure streamers and such aren't calling him a baby, even in jest. They don't want even the implication that he's a child to be taken seriously.
I don't want to kick the devs when they're down, so to speak, but to be honest this is a problem of Behavior's own making to some degree. They could have made a killer that mechanically controls two avatars look like anything they wanted (e.g. A hunter and a wolf, a ventriloquist and an animated dummy, etc) but they went with something resembling a baby carried around by a peasant. Not much they can do about it now unfortunately, this horse is long out the barn and they're not going to redo all the lore and animations just to stop people making memes and stupid comments. I feel a little bad for them but I'm also a bit surprised they apparently didn't see these memes and jokes coming. Live and learn I guess. š¤·āāļø
Behaviour would have no issue, it's the user that has the issue - they are the ones that get banned and streamers can be banned if they don't remove people from their chat if the comments go into child abuse, that's why we advise people to get out of the habit of saying "baby" and we don't use it ourselves, because he simply isn't a baby.
As Luzi says above, different platforms have different rules, Discord is particularly strict as is Twitch currently...here on the forums we have more leeway which is why we don't have a big issue, but we do remind people that Victor isn't a baby.
-
you can crush him when he misses a pounce or when he idles (so when Charlotte is being played as)
-
We are aware of the issues with hook/rock placements etc in Ormond.
-
In solo play, I think you have to rely on yourself a lot more - so perks such as Deliverance have made it onto my build. I play pretty altruistically so will go in for a risky save at the expense of my own health states, but Deliverance has helped a lot.
-
Does the offering shown as getting "burnt" in the offering screen?
-
I don't have a problem with the lighting as such, but I've definitely noticed an increase in the amount of dead zones where there's absolutely nothing to use as a survivor.
-
I would definitely like to see the fatigue reduced, I don't really understand why it's longer than Nurse's when she's infinitely more of a threat.
I do think Legion needs some love, but I know obviously there's time constraints on things and I am sure they will get looked into at some point - I'm not a fan of Deep Wound personally, especially as it affects other things like Borrowed Time, so I can see why things are more complicated with Legion. I absolutely love the idea of the design with Legion - and they have some of the best cosmetics as well, but I do think QoL changes would be great for them.
-
you don't want much do you? LOL
-
And different personalities approach things in different ways!
-
If you believe you've found a bug please post in the Bug Report section of the forums giving as much information as possible, thank you.
-
I'm sorry but I'm going to have to refute this. The man is a Game Designer, not an entertainer - he's there to answer the questions that were put to him by the Community and he did so very well with plenty of information. Judging his character by the fact that he's more serious on stream is pretty rude quite frankly. Not everyone enjoys being in front of the camera to that extent and people can feel quite uncomfortable by it - not saying that's the case, but that's a possible reason for his seriousness. Plus don't forget, this is his job, his work time not his time to relax - pretty sure if he was laughing and joking through the stream, people would say he wasn't taking anything seriously!
-
Yes this is a bug that has shown up since the last patch, there has been bug reports made on it already.

Iām as critical as they come as evidenced by my current incarceration for calling this chapter crap, but this video is super pointless and will only serve to get this thread closed.
it added nothing to the discussion
good call.
I'm going to close this now, people can't seem to refrain from attempting to insult others - not just the developers either, from the comments I just had to delete.
We are aware of the frustration that you're all feeling right now, nobody is denying that - but insulting people is never the way to get your feedback heard, but it's a great way to get it ignored! Constructive criticism is never censored, never warned for, never deleted and notice that I said criticism there. But threads where people just want to attack others, of course those are going to be closed.
-
I believe you can't blind Victor and also whilst Charlotte is dormant you can't blind her either.

Here, let's ask a mod. Hey, @MandyTalk @Rizzo90 is this bannable? I know it isn't, but this person can't seem to realize that, and they shouldn't be reporting non-reportable things.
If we're talking about things like body blocking a pallet or window as a killer - definitely not banable and not reportable either. It's the way I play Wraith, especially blocking a window on Haddonfield for example.
