I am super altruistic and I would rather die trying to make a save than escape the match like that. I am the one that goes for the risky saves and I will one for one with someone if necessary even if I know I'm going to die for it...that's the fun of the game for me.
And Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to you too @ChurchofPig
-
We do not discuss bans here, as you were told previously that can only be done with Support.
-
Survivors complain about killer perks, killers complain about survivor perks - that's pretty much the way it goes.
Use whatever perks you want to use and forget about what anyone else says about it, it's your game that you're playing, not theirs.
-
I'm locking this here, the question has been answered many times.
-
Merry Christmas to you too, and I too hope for a better 2021 - I don't want to remember 2020!
Hope everyone stays safe and well.
-
No, this is not griefing, this is also not reportable - camping, tunneling, slugging etc are not things that should be reported, it wastes the time of the ACM's who go through the reports and takes away the time from genuine reportable game offences.
-
Double heal, to me, is when two survivors heal another survivor - doesn't matter if all 3 are injured or healthy.
-
From the most recent patch notes.

Can't you just lock the thread or something? This thread won't go anywhere and is pretty pointless because the devs are very confident about not removing DC penalties.
was clicking the button then your post showed up :)
-
The penalties will not be removed, the whole point of them is to stop people DC'ing and ruining other people's games.
-
Merry Christmas! Hope you've been having fun rocking the Santa clown outfit.
-
Sorry but cross progression has not been confirmed for any other platform other than Steam, Stadia & Switch nor can we guarantee that it will come to any other platform I'm afraid.
-
The FAQ was always on the BHVR site, right where you go to link your information...it does clearly state that the unlinking of the account will lead to loss of BP, shards & auric cells.

Yes, that's why I always have iron will on my build so idc if I'm injured or not
yeah Iron Will is on a lot of my builds as well, it's just a good perk!
-
It happens a lot with me and I rarely swf. I do tend to try to co-ordinate the team slightly and often take hits for players etc so yes, killers do think that means swf's.

I grabbed a survivor off a gen today! Sorry I don't have video proof but it really honestly happened.
I'm sure that never happens (insert sus emote here)...
-
Please remember the forum rules if wishing to take part in this please!
-
If it happens again, please try to get some video evidence so this can be checked out...as well as your game logs for that match (this would need to be done straight after the match).
1. Press Windows Key + R to bring up "Run".
2. Type this in the "Run" prompt: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
3. The file called "DeadByDaylight.log" is your log file. Please attach it in your reply.
-
There is a bug report in on this issue.
-
It's one of my wishes that we had a simpler reporting method - I will bring that feedback to the team as well @SunderMun
-
@SunderMun repeatedly forcing the hook animation is a different thing than what is shown in the video in the OP's post. Because the stop/start action prevents anyone else from making a save, that's when it becomes reportable for griefing.
-
I don't think it's really "counterplay" but it's the most practical way to deal with the perk.
Like it or not, that perk is the in the game, same as ruin/pop etc is in the game for survivors. So yeah if the survivor forces themselves in front of me just to use their DStrike early on in the game, I'll happily take it. (I don't tunnel and I don't go back to the hook, so I genuinely don't see DStrike all that often tbh). But I would much rather have to deal with it earlier in the game, rather than have the chance of having to deal with it at the end of the match where there's not much I can do about it.
-
Yes sorry, this isn't reportable. Survivors can choose whether to rescue another survivor or not, they can play as selfishly as they want.
In answer to the question though, the report of console players is the same as reporting pc players, make an in game report and send additional evidence to support (you use the console name instead of Steam 64ID) - https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
But please do not report things like this happening in game, it really does waste the time of the team who go through the reports and delays action on all other reports.
-
It depends on the game and if I can have a fast heal from a medkit or not. I often run Resilience to get those faster actions and 99 the heal with a medkit so I'm effectively injured and can get the benefit from my perk but then just tap the heal off if I need to get into a chase.
Stealth killers I'm less likely to stay injured against and will heal up if a team mate is nearby...or if I have Inner Strength. I won't run Self Care cos it takes too long to heal and I don't have space in my builds to run Botany etc to make the heal faster. I do often run We'll Make It so I heal other survivors up super fast after I've saved them.
-
that bug makes for some interesting screenshots 😑
-
The Buried Underground challenge was adjusted a few days ago for the most recent Tome, this should no longer be an issue for that particular Tome.
-
As you link your own accounts then you can't swf with yourself anyway - or am I missing something here?
-
Check Steam sales, they started around 40 mins ago I think
-
Hi, Server sided hit validation is definitely in place...I've just created a thread in the Feedback section and would be interested in hearing people's experience of it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/215035/hit-validation-feedback
-
@Dabihwow when you do finish it, please let me know - I'm very interested in reading it
-
The Blight is probably wondering why a lot of people want to see a shirtless Felix :)
@Dabihwow I'm sorry it's been such a tough year for you, I wish that 2021 is going to be a much better year for you <3
-
Not really a hatch standoff, cos if you're the last one alive and the killer has closed the hatch the EGC will have started so the game will end - it's not the same where both players could stand by the hatch indefinitely for long periods.
The only time I can see there being an issue is if a group of survivors want to escape with the hatch (3 for example, with the 4th one dead), with a key and there's still gens to be done - and that way, the survivors can still run away and repair the gens...killer can still hit the survivors if they are around the hatch, even with the cooldown period there's not going to be chance for every survivor to escape and the killer can then close the hatch again, if someone did use the key.
-
Letting a survivor escape as a killer is not bannable/reportable - I've often done it as a killer, given the last person the hatch for example if they've played well etc. However, it becomes reportable if you've worked with that survivor to kill someone else on the team, that's where the line is drawn.
-
Sorry but we do not make in-game refunds.
-
And again @Ihatelife not the point of the thread! Please keep your feedback to the correct section, thank you.
-
Please lets not have a political discussion about the state of Governments on this thread - this is a gaming forum after all, there's other forums you can use if you wish to have a political discussion about the state of the world!

Then you know how unfair everything is for the sport activites. Gyms, swimming pools and crossfits are very dangerous place because of the Covid, but the shops when there is a ten thousand people in there everyday no? This is just weird logic of the government.
Which is completely not the point of this thread. Which is the bhvr team wishing a Happy Holidays to everyone in the Community, yes we are aware of how difficult it has been for everyone and that people have lost loved ones, we're not exempt from any of that. But it's about making the best of a situation and spreading a bit of positivity and love to the Community as a whole.

People like @MandyTalk will be okay, because they have a job that doesn't require you to be at some place or have any contant in four eyes in real life, but the people that worked in hotel? In the gym? In the swimming pool? Etc.. Yeah. No one cares about them.
Please don't make such assumptions about me, I actually work as a fitness instructor with my own studios - I know only too well on the financial loss with regards to this year!

@GoodBoyKaru <3
-
Sadly there is only cross progression between Steam & Stadia at this present time, with Switch joining shortly. There's no guarantee that Cross Progression will come to other platforms unfortunately.
-
Currently MMR is not running
-
I think this might be something you need to contact Support about, I doubt we'd be able to help you out on this on the forums https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us
-
Have you already used D Strike on the first unhooking? Because it can only be used once.
For a report like this, it's better to show video of the match so we can see exactly what's happening.
-
@RepostRiposte said:
Your teammates are technically the ones holding the game hostage by refusing to do generators and leave. It is only against the rules to block all survivors simultaneously.
Not bannable, not reportable, just accept the 1k and move on.
Sorry no, the killer (as it's been a long time) is technically holding the game hostage as they've not allowed that survivor to participate in the game.
This is definitely reportable, please video it and send to support https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us as well as make a report in the end game chat.

I love the little crows with hats, I especially like what's written on Santa's list...
-
How can you say that's their most powerful survivor - it's just a cosmetic, for all you know they could have the same perks on each character, plus they (as can killers) change perks in the lobby. That's why survivors are just skins, there's no difference between a Nea and a Meg for example.
-
I think there's two things going on here, the locking survivors into a match when searching for a lobby - which I don't personally have a problem with as I don't think locking them in would serve any purpose at all, as they are all just skins.
And the last second switching, which is what I think more people are concerned with tbh.
Survivors are just skins, there's no getting away from that. And the killer technically has the same freedom as the survivor in the lobby - you can still change perks, offerings, add ons etc exactly the same as the survivor can, the only thing you can't change is the power that you're using in game, that's prelocked.
Last second switching to an item is something else and should be an entirely separate topic.
-
Please can you report bugs on the Bug Reports sub forum, try to include as much information as possible - platform, tile name, screenshots/video etc. Thank you.
