  • Most good survivors are aware that pallets are a resource that's certainly not infinite and will do as much as they can without dropping a pallet, especially earlier in a match. There's nothing worse as a survivor watching someone getting chased and they're dropping every single pallet or pallet camping - it's times like that where I'd prefer to be chased rather than the person being chased, because you know they're going to go through every pallet on the map.

  • I really dislike farming games and I won't participate in them, I play to enjoy the actual game not to just farm BP.

  • Hacking is hacking and fully deserving of a ban, there's absolutely no difference to someone hacking skins and cheating in game. Which is why most people support permanent bans for cheats/hacks.

  • The BP cap hasn't changed it's still 1 million.

However, the BP cap doesn't take into consideration "gifted" BP's...so the extra BP that have been given to people for log in rewards etc

  • I don't use it, got fed up of being exhausted on the floor most of the time. If I use an exhaustion perk it's either Lithe or Head On for me, I find them to be more reliable and fun to use, Lithe can really help me with getting distance especially with Q&Q in a chase.

  • @MorbidCuriosity nothing has changed internally on this, everyone is still off in the office for the holiday period.

I'll give them that extra information to see if that is something that makes a difference...please keep me updated if you manage to get/not get any extra progress on this achievement.

  • Freddy I would think is one of the longest.

  • Nope there are definitely no bots, I'm presuming you are talking about the core game, not mobile at least.

  • Because it's a feedback & suggestion post, whether it's meant for Developers or not. Same as Creations are moved to Creations sub forum whether it's meant for Developers to see or not - it's about keeping the forum organised and easy for people to find what they are looking for.

Thanks for commenting! Not going to lie, I'm a bit miffed that my post is getting buried since I think discussing Legion and what they could be very interesting.

I also hope that the devs see this but they probably won't. I didn't write this with the notion that any of it would be implemented into the game.

The whole "buried" thing is completely false. Posts are moved because they are in the wrong section and don't belong in General Discussions.

And yes these posts are read, when they are in the correct section at least, more so than they would be if they were still in GD because posts get buried there very quickly due to the amount of posts.

  • Cross progression with Switch is planned and will be released shortly, can't give an exact date I'm afraid.

  • First of all an in game report is mandatory in all cases, then you can send your video evidence to Support via this website: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us You might need to upload the video to YouTube first and then put the link in the information section.

Please do not upload video evidence to the forums, we have strict name & shame rules here.

Is there a way to input the code on the mobile version? If so, where can I find it?

These are not codes for the mobile version of the game but the core game.

  • @SocialDistomancy it's only a killer charm I'm afraid.

Please stop arguing on this thread, I understand the point that's being made but there's really no need to be arguing about it in this manner - if you don't want the charm or have the charm, this thread is not for you so please move on.

  • I agree that Legion needs some minor buffs, but I don't think they're the worst killer by far and I do rather well with them. I'd like to see their fatigue time reduced to 2.5/3s but not really a great deal more than that. I find FF very easy to find other survivors with and do pretty well mind gaming chases, add on wise I tend to run the Julie's & Suzies mixtapes the most as those are the add ons that work best with my style of play.

  • Killer - Enduring, I cannot play without it because I've got so used to running it (I've also got a bit of an addiction to Brutal Strength right now as well).

Survivor - This one is tougher because I'm torn between Quick & Quiet and Iron Will - both staples on my builds.

  • Why? It's irrelevant how many hours you have in a game, if you cheat or break the game rules in other ways, a ban is the deserved outcome imo and removing a persons access to the game is the right result.

  • I think I prefer our current way which is to directly ban people from playing the game.

As much as I hate Freddy it is needed to have a killer with a low barrier to entry who can still do well

yepp agreed, I play basic M1 killers - mostly Wraith, some Myers, Ghostface & Legion, and those do take less skill than the Huntress or Nurse for sure, plus I enjoy playing them.

  • Well partly for me, it is my job...so there's that.

Other than that, I play a few games here and there thoughout the day, especially when queues aren't too bad. And on weekends of course. I sort of fit everything in with work, parenting and having something resembling a life (although with lockdown through most of this year, life is a bit weird).

  • I will agree it's super loud. Ear splitting tbh

Am I the only weirdo that counts in his head the wiggle progress as killer?

It takes approx 20 seconds of full wiggling from a survivor (assuming no perks) to have them escape. I count in my head as soon as I pick someone up...

nope you're not the only one, I don't count the seconds though I count the amount of wiggles

  • There is no date announced as yet, so anything is just pure speculation at this point.

  • I would love to be good at Huntress but I absolutely suck with her, I really don't have the time to just practice with her, which is what I would need to do...that's why I think it's great that we have such a variety of killers in DbD, some take arguably more skill to play as than others, and that's great for the people who can invest time into learning a particular killer, and then others which have a simpler mechanic.

  • I'd definitely suggest Huntress or Nurse or even Blight - to me they were the hardest killers to learn and learning them at a low rank would be wiser.

  • It's classed as a debuff because it's not a straightforward "two survivors so the gen goes 50% faster kind of thing" - so to make it clear that the gen is not going at that speed, the action is classed as a debuff.

  • Dead Hard has issues which have already been discussed by the developers. There will be changes made in the future to address this.

However, if you believe that you have found a bug please report here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

  • Because whilst it's faster, it's not double the time faster - the red bar shows that there's a debuff at play (depending on the amount of people repairing the generator).

  • Currently MMR is not even active, we're still on the older matchmaking system.

When MMR is reintroduced there will be more information given at the time.

  • This is known, there are bug reports in on this...in future, please check the bug report section in order to report bugs or vote up the report if one has already been made. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs

  • In any online game, cheating will an issue. There will be patches to fix the cheats, then they find new ways - it's a circle at the end of the day.

But please, nobody put information on cheats onto this forum, thank you.

  • Are these related to the basement by any chance? I'm wondering if there's an issue tracking there, due to basement challenges not working either.

Everyone knows that usually the ones that u expect this kind of harassment is from survivors, but today, for the first time, I saw a killer doing it.

The player was an huntress and after looping her for a far amount of time, all the remaining gens popped and I looped her until both gates were 99%, she brought me to the basement and camped me, which I find completely fair because it was in the endgame. Surprisingly, the 3 randoms I was playing with rushed in and saved me, we all escaped but one guy that got sacrificed in my place during the rescue.

I proceeded to thank the team in endgame chat and say ggs to everyone only to find out that they were console, and see the huntress wishing that we, and our families would all die from cancer and covid and that she would dance on our bodies. I told her that was a bannable offense (it is right?) but she just kept going.

I reported her in game for harassment and explained there what happened, do I need to report it anywhere else? Do I need to use the customer support somehow? Submit a ticket? This is my first time reporting someone and I want to do it correctly.

So, have u ever gotten any kind of death wishes/threats like this? If so, what have u done? How do u feel about it? I find it kinda rare the see so much toxicity in endgame chat, so this was actually surprising.

I'd send a screenshot of the convo to Support as well https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us

I'm sorry you had to deal with that, sadly though these things do happen but our team does deal with these pretty harshly.

They also encourage it by setting double standards. If I was to do something unsportsmanlike and somebody reported it the devs might reprimand me. If a twitch streamer who is constantly doing shady stuff but brings in a lot of viewers, they will look the other way because that person is bringing in more money for them. By letting that streamer get away with that play style all their viewers are thinking "This must be allowed because he's doing it and they haven't banned him yet"

This is completely untrue - the game rules apply to everyone, regardless of who you are.

  • Body Blocking used as griefing is not allowed and is punishable in game with a ban. The reason why your proposal doesn't work is because there are active forms of body blocking that are allowed - for example body blocking a killer preventing the killer from hooking a survivor, killer bodyblocking a survivor during EGC are just two examples.

And no, DbD is not built on spaghetti code, that's just a narrative that some people have used over the years and is completely untrue and there's also not that many people who work on cosmetics, the Art team is pretty small.

  • I was so surprised that this KFC Console was a real thing, I was expecting it to be basically an Air Fryer (that's the way it looked at least)...I'll be interested in seeing the specs of it, from what Cool Master have said, it seems to be pretty high specs as well so the price point is going to be very interesting.

  • Sorry I don't agree that this killer is weak in the slightest. Like a lot of the "non M1 only" killers in the game, he takes time and skill to learn. How to zone the survivors correctly etc, because once you do that, it's pretty much a guaranteed down.

The cages are only part of his ability, and bypass so many perks that it's actually very good for this killer.

But yes, the cages are definitely not a "camp mechanic" and actively discourage camping - whilst a survivor is being saved from the cage and most likely healed, that gives the killer plenty of time to pressure generators and using the Trail of Torment in a chase is incredibly useful. I don't see how a killer with a strong ranged attack which effectively bypasses pallets and windows can ever be described as weak!

  • I really don't think We'll Make It needs a change at all, it's already a strong perk. The ability to heal that fast when unhooking someone and the length of time it lasts for is pretty damn good. I used it last week, unhooked someone and healed them, killer chased them and had two people slugged - I also got both people back to their feet and fully healed before the killer came close to downing the person I had just rescued. Which is a pretty game changing perk - I couldn't have got them up and healed so fast without We'll Make It being active.

Also Hope - I do think this perk is undervalued, I don't think it is outclassed by Adrenaline, whilst granted Adrenaline does heal a health state as well, the length of the speed boost from Hope more than makes up for that.

It would have been nice for them to bring back the Xmas menu, hooks, gens and bloodweb items. Surely can't be too much effort to give us something they've done before.

It's not about "effort" but yes it's a lot of work, the games engine has been updated and things need to be completely reprogrammed. It's about resources and time particularly.

Please don't forget pretty much this entire year has been work from home, which is pretty challenging for game studios. And that's going to be the same for the foreseeable future as well.

  • Making hit boxes smaller is not as simple as it sounds, due to the fact that all maps would need to be reworked all over again - it's a massive job, plus it wouldn't solve anything.

Hit Validation is going to be a work in progress I guess, it's currently active and is definitely better than the initial trial version of it and there's probably more updates to be made to it (this is a Live game, so changes to things like this are always to be expected).

And there's more than one server in Europe, there's also one in the UK as well as in Germany. Russia is unlikely to get their own server.

Its legion the devs hate them thats a fact, sorry everone its true.

    Fact?

Sorry no, the Developers do not "hate" Legion! Not in the slightest.

  • There are no plans to remove cosmetics from the store. And I really don't see a need to do this, if the set up of the Store does become an issue in the future, I'm pretty sure there'd be a design change instead of removing items.

  • https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/Creations we have a specific channel for people's work - please ask before you use someone's work though.

  • No, playing with "stretched res" is not something that we currently ban for, nor is it a reportable.

  • We don't have any date publicly for the Cross Progression with Switch yet, I am sure it won't be too long in the future though as it was announced previously.

Cross Progression with other platforms is not likely at the present time, it's something we would like to do, but there are no guarantees that this will ever happen I'm afraid.

And no, it's not been forgotten about - it's already active between Stadia & Steam, it's just that when there is no new information to put out, there's very little to say about it.

  • Sorry but we have to have this protection enabled, it's to protect yourselves and your data as much as anything else. There's nothing we can do about this for the time being, it's an anti ddos measure.

  • Closed at OP's request.

  • yeah sorry, this isn't possible. Auric Cells are tied to the account that bought them, they cannot be transferred.
