  • Data is used for sure, but it's not the only thing that's taken into account when changes are made.

  • It's because For the People does not count as healing by design.

  • Would need more information on this. Cruel Limits is designed to block vault locations within 32m of a completed Generator - so was any generators completed when you noticed the windows got blocked?

  • I'm going to be watching you!

    😡

  • I'm just glad it's not a Monday, I'd have spent ages thinking about this...but as it's Friday my brain is working faster :)

@MandyTalk Hello , can you change my username from "Baumren" to "RandomMarc" please and thank you!

    your username is already RandomMarc?

  • As there is a bug report in on this already, I suggest voting up that bug report instead of making new threads.

  • Just to correct that - Stadia & Steam with Switch joining shortly (no date confirmed). WE'VE NOT CONFIRMED Windows Store in cross progression.

  • Was only this generator noise muffled or was it everything in the match that got muffled, and was it only muffled for you or for everyone?

  • Seeing as we've been through this discussion a few times now, with the same things being said, I'm closing this one here and reminding the OP that if they already have a thread open on a topic, then please refrain from opening a new one.

  • With the way this thread has gone, I'm going to close it here.

TLDR on the thread, anyone can be beaten by anyone.

  • The decay rate and terms are not something that's public knowledge.

  • A lot of people have returned to the game recently, so it's very possible that it's people actually at that rank - they've just not played for a while.

  • The information I get from BBQ means as much to me as the BP

  • One thing I'd add to the first section about working on generators separately - is also to work on them at different parts of the map. It's harder for the killer to be in more areas, and it can also prevent a 3 gen situation.

Apart from that, I agree wholeheartedly.

  • No, until a more recent patch only 2 perks could ever be found on a bloodweb regardless of what level you were at - when this post was made, that was the situation. It changed in patch 3.2.0

Due to this being an old post and the bloodweb has changed since then, I'm closing this thread.

  • SWF is not cheating, neither is chatting with your friends on Discord whilst playing.

  • The system cannot tell whether you're dying on the hook or in the middle of the animation - it can only tell that you're disconnecting from the match. And I don't see any reason to change this.

The animation takes a few seconds and pretty sure that people would then start to abuse the system with an attempt to depip etc. So I definitely don't see anything changing on the DC penalty system any time soon.

  • We have not communicated a date as to when the release date will be.

do you know if the devs are making any changes to the updates before they go live? I know rat liver is but anything else?

If we've not mentioned things publicly I am afraid I am not at liberty to discuss if there's been any changes.

  • First of all thank you for your feedback with regards to the Support system that we currently have in place.

I obviously can't speak about individual cases, but I can assure you if the required information is supplied then reports are dealt with. In the case that you have described an in game report would be needed as well as evidence sent to support. This evidence can be in the form of a screenshot but it's always better to have video evidence as that is less likely to have been manipulated, so is far more reliable.

In-game reports purely show that the match has taken place, except in the case of chat offences where it flags the chat logs.

    1. Not all SWFs bully - I have never been in a SWF where anyone bullied the killer - believe it or not a lot of people just want to have fun and aren't toxic or bullies. Unlike a lot of the hyperbole and vitriol spread on these forums - most of us streamers are just regular people playing games and having fun - I could care less whether I win a match or not - I'm in it for the fun.
    2. Not all SWFs use voice comms - Because I stream - if I SWF with a friend not on PC we don't use comms and even with some PC friends we don't use comms because we are streaming. It's a pain to use push to talk/push to mute and we like to be able to talk to our streams without having other streams to hear our conversations.
    3. Not all SWFs are 4 people together - I only SWF about 10% of my survivor games and the majority of those SWFs are me and one other person - rarely do I do 3 man SWFs and VERY rarely 4 man.
    4. As a killer going against a SWF is fun to me - Most of them I exploit their altruism...which results in more 3/4ks.

I'm with you on this. I've very rarely seen god tier SWF bully teams, I think I've played against 1 team in the last few months.

I play SWF, even if we're on Discord we tend to not be talking about the game anyway and are just chatting about other stuff, we also troll each other way too much.

A lot of times when playing solo I've been accused of playing in a SWF because we've worked together and taken hits to save someone etc. It's definitely not a purely SWF thing.

I also prefer playing against SWF when playing killer, they tend to be far more altruistic and go in to make saves instead of hiding around the map and as I love chases, this type of playstyle is far more interesting to me. I don't want to play hide and seek to try to find the P3 Claudette hiding in the corner of a map.

  • I think Ruin is in a pretty good position right now...it's definitely not as oppressive feeling as before and it's still pretty strong, it definitely helps to slow the game down if that's what you need. It's also counterable by taking out the hex totem as a survivor, I really don't think it needs any more done to it at this stage.

  • We've not publicly given a date when the Mid Chapter Patch will be...PTB closed on Monday though.

  • If I'm reading that correctly, that's not a bug.

If you are unhooked and you are full health, then hit with NOED you'd go into dying state. If BT is active at that time, you'd only go into the Endurance status effect which will require you to mend and then heal as you would have lost the one health state, you don't go from mend to automatically full health. So you are still protected that one health state.

  • There is a time-out penalty for DC's for a reason.

We don't encourage DC's here as it's clearly against the game rules otherwise there wouldn't be a penalty for it.

If you find that you're in a rank that you shouldn't be, then the system will adjust as you will lose your matches and derank naturally. However, wanting easier matches by lowering your rank is hardly sportsmanlike behaviour and definitely not something condoned here.

I report people that DC on purpose out of spite and it's real obvious when they do it

Please do not abuse the report feature in that way. You're also taking time away from the genuine reports that people make!

  • This is a tough one to vote on because they have so many different benefits. Agitation would probably be the strongest for me cos I can get to hook locations quickly and speed is probably the thing I want most when I'm playing killer, which is why I rarely use the basement.

  • I'm going to disagree with having Deerstalker as base-kit. Slugging is mechanic you use to get pressure on the map, it's a risky one to take - giving Deerstalker as basekit would totally negate that risk, if you've slugged someone and they've crawled away whilst you've been chasing someone else, you shouldn't have a free mechanic to see where they are.

  • I expect all killers to have BBQ tbh, cos why not, it's such a good perk!

But yeah, it's LF's teachable perk so I would really expect it on all of them.

You counter BBQ in a few ways, either get within range when the survivor is being hooked, hide in a locker or take the chance and be prepared for a chase, it depends on what I'm doing as to my actions. If I'm on a Gen and I can get that Gen finished before he gets to me, then I'm going to finish that gen and take the risk of getting downed. The worst thing is, if that gen is in the middle of nowhere as against LF you're pretty much downed then without much chase (I love the chases).

  • A very stern reminder to stay on topic here, and to follow the forum rules when posting.

Here's a reminder of what they are, in case anyone has forgotten: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/137-forum-rules

  • We're not going to have more negativity here against players on another platform - there's good and bad players on ALL platforms.

With regards to the original post, they were probably trying to get all their points - which they are completely entitled to do, nobody needs to work together if they don't wish to and if someone wants to struggle until the very last second, they are well within their rights to do so.

  • Closed as requested, but for anyone who sees this thread in the future - in game reports must be made and then additional evidence sent to Support: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

  • I think the current system with AFK crows is working pretty well, if you're not moving at all then yes, you're not progressing the game and are most likely AFK as there's no reason not to move in any way for that length of time as you can usually move between various points of cover if you are attempting to evade the killer. It's not meant that you can just stay hidden in one spot indefinitely.

  • Yes we do still use it, mostly on threads in the feedback section of the forum.

  • If this happened in game, please use the in-game report feature if you believe that someone has threatened you in the after game chat.

If this happened on another platform ie, Twitch or Twitter, then please report to that specific platform as we do not deal with things that happen outside of our own platform.

  • Due to the fact that we do not promote Unsportsmanlike Behaviour on this forum and things which are specifically against our game (and forum) rules, I'm going to close this discussion right here.

  • Even with a door 99'd the killer can still open the door - as I said, it's not about power, it's about ending the game.

We also tested a few ways with regards to regressing, none of them felt great and this decision was made to be the fairest option, and again I will emphasis, EGC is not there to help one side or the other, it's there purely to end the game, which it does very well as the killer can just open the door if need be.

  • @Lord_Tony said:

it should honestly be basekit, killers should feel scary when EGC starts

EGC is not meant for killers, or for survivors. It's meant as a way to end the game and to avoid hostage situations, which is why killers can open the exit doors. It's not meant to give an advantage to either side.

  • It's interesting seeing the results of this poll!

I chose killer, not because I think that's particularly in my character - quite the opposite in fact, which is why I think the Entity would make me a killer not a survivor, force me into doing what I didn't want to do, iyswim.

  • Regardless of who disconnects, be that killer or survivor, the match is still ruined for the 4 other players - this is why the disconnect penalty is in place.

  • OK, I'm closing this here because it's going around and around in circles at this point and a lot of misinformation is being spread so let me clear up a few things:

    1. If someone is camping and you can't make a save due to not having BT or something, then either one for one on the hook or push the gens - that's pretty much the only option available to you. This is a game mechanic and if survivors are constantly giving the killer points etc when they do this, that's pretty much on them because they're showing them that this type of gameplay works.
    2. Body Blocking a survivor as a killer (or as another survivor) is a reportable & bannable offence unless EGC has started, because you are preventing that survivor in taking part in the game, there's nothing the blocked survivor can do. It's irrelevant if other survivors are still in the game and can finish the gens - that survivor is being griefed at the very least.
    3. The word toxic is being thrown around so much with regards to gameplay, tbh my opinion is, if it's part of the actual game, it's not toxic behaviour. And I think we all need to focus on our own gameplay a little bit more and less attention to others, own up to our own mistakes we make in game etc.
  • There is absolutely no connection between a perk you are running and your queue times!

  • People are not banned for nothing!

  • The slowdown of the RGBT's is a temporary effect, that's intended - it's not supposed to be that you can slow the survivors down throughout the entire match. It's up to the killer to use the traps wisely, which is why it's never worth tunneling a trapped survivor to kill them because that survivor is not going to be doing gens to progress the match. Same as if a survivor is dead on hook, there's no point putting a trap on their head (unless you suspect a flashlight save or something, and even then, it's probably not worth the loss of the trap).

Piggy's power is not only her slowdown mechanic, she has a lot more to her basekit than that with her crouch and dash.

  • I have absolutely nothing against a bot coming into a match if a player disconnects...however, the dc penalty should still apply to the disconnected player as they are still going to ruin that game for the other players in the match.

It's our responsibility as players when playing an online game to make sure that our equipment is up to the standard, and whilst that might seem very harsh cos I know that some areas have less than stellar internet, it's not possible to distinguish whether a player has a genuine internet disconnection or has simply "pulled the plug", which is why the DC penalty is applied regardless of the disconnect reasons.

  • @Blumenkind said:

i thought, if its signed "acknowleded" on this board, its recognized by them..., but maybe its the wrong way. Maybe we should post it on their discord or on reddit too...

If a bug report is marked as acknowledged, then yes it's known by the team.

  • Farming is a grey area, it's obviously not something we approve of, but it's not something that's normally reportable. The only time it becomes an issue is if a player is being forced into a farming situation.

  • If it's on your Steam profile, you would need to report them via Steam, you can report the profile and provide a screenshot of the comment if you're unable to report the comment directly.
