New grind system reduces bp needed to prestige all characters. But if you play just few of them it actually makes it even more grindy for casuals :)
Before you unlocked perks at level 40, but they were in blood web.
Now you unlock all perks at tier 1 at level 50(prestige), in blood web is now tier 2 perk.
You also had bbq stacks to guarantee 2x bp

I eighth this

Definitely DIO from JoJo.
survivor definitely needs to be SpeeeedwaGONnnn
I would rather the survivor be Jonathan with a legendary speedwagon skin so we can have dio say goodbye jojo in his mori lol
But I agree dio would make a awesome killer
-
My answer will always be the xenomorph and if they give it a blighted skin I would want it to be a blighted praetorian(the species of xenomorph seen below)
-
Legion: same as the guy above
Pig: her dash is a tad too long to charge up and use
Bubba: I hate getting large maps it makes it hard to take people to my basement parties
Twins: I love going against them as survivor it's always fun playing a game of dodge the Victor what i hate about them is that twins players are an endangered species

As a facecamping God, I am not concerned at all. It needs buffs if they want to stop a giga chad like myself.
As a basement bubba I'm not complaining about the perk and willing to stay in the basement with my guest as long as possible lol
As a survivor player I can see being held hostage by a fellow survivor not the killer
-
Imagine if we got ps1 skins for all the re characters no joke if we got that I would throw down money for all of them lmao
On the topic of wesker skins I think the stars outfit and his re4 look would be great choices

Unfortunately I think some killers get tilted and then let it carry over to the next game, punishing people for what others did. Or maybe they hit a bully squad earlier in the day and are just on one for the rest of the play session.
Not an excuse, but think you see it a lot.

I ran up against a baby nurse who fell for the simple double back every. single. time.
A Dwight went down early and DC'd, but that was the only down all game (this is why you play the game out) because that Nurse just wouldn't break chase with me. I ran them like that for ages. I almost felt bad.
For some killers (usually beginners and/or people with anger issues), it just becomes immediately personal, and they have a mighty need to catch you to assert their dominance, or something.
The first part(I don't know how to quote specific parts on this forum) I won't lie I'm guilty of doing that as I had a awful experience on the swamp map one too many times
-
I main pig as I love using her traps for pressure
I also play a lot of bubba because basement bubba is fun for me and legion(who was my former main) because I loved running and stabbing
-
I would like that along with a re1 stars outfit wesker

Good.
If it does, you'll see less camping.
Then less people will run the perk.
Then people will camp again. And on and on the meta cycle goes.
I don't the second happening because of one thing 4 man swfs who want to "troll" running it I can see them finding a hook where they can safely abuse the perk and have someone on hook for a hour hopefully it won't be prevalent enough to get the perk nerfed as I want to use it for the teammates who want to hook suicide

It's...not OP though. Not at all.
It's a nice tool if you get camped. That's about all it does.
I look forward to all the folks running it into me, as I...almost never camp :)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3128667#Comment_3128667
Win? No.
This is more just a massively useful tool behind a paywall (or pure shrine RNG).
I didn't say it was op I just said I can see a situation like that happening because i can see this perk becoming a part of a lot and I mean a lotttt of peoples builds
And I can see people just buying Rebecca just so they can get the perk Ala the ash comparison

It was a knee jerk reaction after survivor mains cried about it. Nobody who played both sides thought Thanataphobia was overtuned on anything but Plague or Legion. And neither of those killers are top.
This the only time I ever hated seeing it was on a legion(which i will admit is hypocritical of me as i use it on legion) and plague when teammates never over cleanse

Sadly there's survivors who believe that a killer not letting survivors get a free unhook is camping.
There's also survivors who would say you're camping when they are all around the hook and not leaving it when you start chasing them
Legit had that happen even though I let the others go and rescue the person like the closest hook is the one that just opened up that's not camping that's you and your group giving me no reason to go far away from the hook
-
@StarLost said:
I like the idea as a potential camping discouragement, but...I'm really not a fan of this being tied to a paid DLC.
I'd rather see it be introduced as a general perk, giving people access to it without spending money, and add a new perk for the DLC.
Thoughts?
Honestly I see another ash situation happening where the perk will be nerfed after everyone buys it

While that is ######### and proves that some areas need a slight rework that still isn't exploiting that is just being abusive, trolling, and toxic.
That kind of behavior does deserve to be slugging
Boil over is more of a perk used to distract the killer while your allies work it can be toxic but the best way to counter it if you feel like you can't get them to a hook is to just leave them down and go after other survivors
I hate when a solo q bring boil over to try to survive and the other survivors decide to sandbag that person for bringing a perk that is meant to help survivor or stall out the killer
Edit you can also use camera angle to your advantage when dealing with a boil over user
Oh I know about the crab walk trick I also knew that there was no point in trying to hook them when the whole fiasco was happening as they would go back to the exploitable part of the map and they would wiggle free as they are far away enough from the closest hook

At the end of the day the survivors were all dead. There’s a recent post from ayrun and 3 other youtubers where the were just head on-ing the killer and just having fun. For a very long time until I believe they all died. Not 1 gen was done. Were they there to bully? Not really. They’re just having fun. I would rather deal with that the whole game and still win then dealing with it and getting 0 kills. It’s just fun. While some killers might find it extremely annoying, it’s intention was fun.
That's totally different from the boilover fiasco
The boilover fiasco there was obviously people looking to be toxic I should know I have gotten messages from 3 different swf groups sending me messages saying that I'm no fun or that they made me angry because i didn't try to take them to the hook and just slugged them if they were there to have fun they wouldn't send messages like that
-

It really isn't an exploit an exploit is usually something like finding a spot that the killer can never reach or finding a way to glitch the game and able recreate said glitch 100% of the time that would be an exploit
Example being the vault in RPD that is next to the helicopter and gate and getting out of bounds through a glitch (which is possible)
A exploit isn't just glitches my guy it can be used for game mechanics used in unintended ways example reload animation canceling in a fps game where you sprint to get out of a reload animation after you filled your clip as soon as possible that's a exploit with how animations work
The whole boilover fiasco on the preschool and rpd library were most certainly exploits heck if it wasn't so bad why did behavior half hazardly add hooks at the library soon after people started abusing it
-
@EvilSerje said:
No, it shouldn't be rewarded. It should be punished. For the basic reason: IT IS A GAME, and a GAME is supposed to be MAXIMUM FUN.
When some abusive action is making game unfun for 4 people of 5, devs (yes, devs, not players) should make that abusive tactic unviable. Like it is not exist at all. For the sake of gameplay.
No one shocked that if you hack person with a huge axe, he is still alive, and if you impale him on a huge hook, ripping ribs and making heavy internal bleeding, that person could still run, repair and vault over windows. It's just a gameplay convention, and so should be lack of camping, just make it so it doesn't exist. Period.
Reassurance is great start, but I would definetely make it basekit.
P.S. Doing gens is also not very fun, but it's so in the core so nothing will change (I have some ideas like gathering parts or finding blueprints, but still)
I think you misread the title there bud

Using a perk with the best possible outcome to survive isn't an exploit and if you are dealing with a squad doing that just slug them and let them bleed out
My guy we had entire swfs abuse the perk just to piss off the killer and not survive before the boilover nerf
It was so bad that a lot of us went and slugged them out of the game
If they really wanted to survive they would do gens instead of all gathering in spots to abuse spots of the map to try and piss off killers
-

Rare occurrences this happens, but it's still constitutes the type of hook suicides that people get annoyed with the most. My point wasn't mentioning the frequency, but just the type of hook suicides that really grind people's gears.
People can obviously have reasons they do this that are valid (need to leave for emergency), but it still is extremely annoying when you hop off your gen, run across the map and then they die in front of your eyes.
In the case of them having them go somewhere I would rather have them go afk instead of hook suiciding as at least we can get more time from them hanging around on the hook or on the ground
-

It doesn't reach down into the basement. If someone wants to activate it they'll have to actually go into the basement, which is stupid against a basement bubba. I doubt you will see it at all during that sort of gameplay.
I mean I've went up against and had fellow survivors who went in the basement when there was a basement bubba camping hooks also I can see a situation of them hanging around the stairs

That awkward moment where getting facecamped by your teammate is worse then getting facecamped by the killer
And If I see it as a killer I'm just going to allow it lol hooks suicides are unfun for both sides for me and i would say its perfectly allowed as the game can end for the suicider if the cap is 60 minutes and the survivors wouldn't be working with me as they are preventing me from getting a kill and in fact helping a fellow survivor lol

Funny I don’t see “Nemisis has no counters” anywhere near my comment. I said he’s a pain in the ass. He’s an anti-loop killer. Anti. Loop. Put 2 and 2 together man, the only person having fun is the killer.
Wrong I like going against Nemesis I find it fun and funny to get a Nemesis to look at areas I was at because I got a zombies attention for a second before losing it and hiding while my teammates do the gens while he is looking for me lol
-
There's no point in going through the process as the cheaters have access to hundreds of accounts thanks to it being free on epic for a while
-
Just going to say this now I feel bad for whoever gets stuck in the basement with me as bubba and someone decides to use this perk as long as possible and knowing how certain swfs are I can see then not opening the gates just so they could go for a save
When I play basement bubba I don't care about winning as long as I get a kill with the basement hook I'm satisfied and I'm willing to stay down in the basement as long as possible lol
-
@Pulsar said:
Okay, it's still anti-fun and we should try to limit it as much as possible.
I figure if we make it so that Killers do not need to camp or tunnel, we can then remove their ability to.
I just don't think a player should have the ability to completely prevent another user from playing the game. That's dumb.
To be fair the perk also does that against really good face camping killers ie bubba and if it's a basement bubba who doesn't care about winning that much and only wants to get a kill on the basement hook the game could last forever for the person on hook if a swfs with the perk who want to "troll" the killer and waste as much time as possible
Legit had a match on the swamp before where 3 survivors stopped doing gens and played the hiding game which I won because I acted afk and proceedded to down two of them as they all decided to come to me and dance around thinking I wouldn't do anything
And inb4 someone accuses me of camping ok that match I had 7 hooks and it was on a Map I despise with a burning passion
