After April update in emblem's system killer get fine when camping hook. How play Cannibal if him gameplay its camp?Cannibal has gameplay when need camp...but we get fine for it...U thought about this situation.
Leatherface has more play then camping. Problem is for Leatherface to be good you have to play outside the normal gameplay people will consider good perks for him.
Also camping is punished by losing emblem. Its frowned upon by the community and the devs. Yet it is a legit tactic.

This bloodhunt really does bring out the worst in killers. Played 15 games now out of those 10 were against Spirit. Everyone's bringing their A game. I'm hiding in a locker right now from Spirit as I type this.
As someone who Mains Spirit let me put my thoughts into this to help.
Without the blood hunt I can 4k the game without addons getting 30k easily per game 60k with BBQ&C. Spirits efficient at farming passively probably only being beaten out by Legion.
This means in terms of farming Legion is strongest then a tie for second between Spirit and Doctor. Now the second thing is Spirit unlike Doctor or the Legion is a top tier killer who does not need to farm to get these points. So as a 2x BP event you can easily with no offering and just BBQ&C average around 90k per match.
Also depriving survivors of bloodpoints during these events happens to be a lot of killers objective during these events and Spirit further amplifies this since she can still get better points.

Honestly, it pisses me off. Not when I'm killer, but when I'm survivor. Here I am, looping the killer, waiting for them to get the gates, and they leave it at 99%. I don't know that, I'm just assuming they're lost or something, so I buy as much time as possible. Just looping while I wait for the go ahead. But no, it's at 99%. When I'm eventually hooked. I can see them crouching behind something, watching. I've lost three matches today because of it, and it's put me in an incredibly salty mood. More so when I find the hatch, I can't go far, and they just sit there on the gate twiddling their thumbs.
Bloodwarden and to give people enough time to escape confirm if killer has NoeD and seek the totem.
Usually it's better to just run tho

Not sure if you'll reply, but I would like to ask some questions regarding Pig from you or another Dev honestly.
Would you ever consider changing the Ambush dash roar from the start to the end instead? I feel that by changing this closer to the end instead of the start she has more mind game potential for players who aren't as good with her.
Can we make her crouch be faster in the similar fashion Ghostface is? Honestly just a QoL change that would honestly be incredibly useful and fun.
Also can we reduce her terror radius back to what it once was? I never understood this change and would either like your input as to why it was changed to begin with or as to why it cant be changed back.

Playing survivor is impossible because nearly every killer wants to farm.
And playing killer is impossible aswell because a lot of players switched to killer so they can farm.
I hate double bp because of this Community. Just play normally ffs, you aren't going to get x100 more BP by farming. It's boring af, it's not a point simulator.
These events are useful for farming BP'S at a accelerated rate. If you dont like it do what a good number of people do and dont play the events.
This is the one time both survivors and killers get along and play together without being toxic. Most games average for me well over 100k. Why would people not want to farm those juicy BP together?

This is just outright offensive.
I too was decimating teams at red ranks with Old Freddy. Absolutely NO ONE could bring the game to a crawl like old Freddy could, AND WITHOUT RUIN no less.
The best part?
Making survivors do what they thought was the smart thing to do: regress their own generator progress.
If you knew how to properly manage the survivors, and regularly keep at least 3 asleep if not all of them at all times, it then it didn’t matter how long chases took and survivors will have eventually used up all pallets before even the third gen was done.
This whole “original Freddy was the worst killer” was a complete fairy tale. The only reason this fallacy existed is because of a) bandwagoning and b) survivors coming across Freddy so infrequently, and of those Freddy’s so few knew how to be devastating with him.
I’ve had my fair share of countless matches in purple and red ranks with old Freddy where I was able to stall the game and prevent repairs for well over 15 to 20 minutes, ending in 4ks with ZERO gens repaired.
High ranked sweaty Survivors had 20 minutes and could STILL not finish one repair.
That’s a testament to how powerful old Freddy was In the right hands.
Problem was he was complicated for a killer who didnt even understand his dream transformation. Pill bottle was so horrible for those few seconds of amazing mind game for free hits.
Was easier to stay asleep and do the gen if it was a fast sleep freddy usually.

Ah I see what your saying. Did you see the pictures though? The 1/2 has every chapter before ST , ans the 2/2 only has stranger thing so the base thing i dont understand since theres been a few major licensed dlcs, it wouldnt make sense that way to add ST in itas own "game" categoey
Ya I noticed it day 1. Figured it was prolly some issues with psn and behavior again. Assumed it would be fixed later. It kinda triggers a OCD about consistancy for me.

@sluc16 said:
Ruin is used waaay too much, killers have no other option, if no ruin is used, gens gets fixed too quickly if you are not using a killer that can apply good map pressure. So is ruin or loose, and is not even a sure thing since it can get broken quickly.
So the fact that they are pretty much forced to use ruin because otherwise they don't have good fighting chance means the game is not correctly desingned. If the game was well designed and balanced there would be no need of so many killers using this perk.
Just my opinion. Don't be saulty
It's not that there is no other options. It's that a lot of people prefer Ruin because they don't want to step out of the comfort zone and try a new idea. Ruin is good at what it does, but hasn't been good for a long time. The survivors you need it against dont care about it. The ones you dont need it against no longer care for it. The ones that suffer were the ones who it wouldn't of mattered if you had it or not.

Im sorry what does that mean exactly. 28 total and never more like i originally was suggesting? Or something else
Warframe has the base game for trophies. Then because it's a FTP game they add major and minor updates and with the major ones comes new trophies which would be similar to the dlc packs we have on DBD for ps4.
Basically both have the base game and the subsections for additional content

I think Lisa is better than Anna, you should give bubba a try. :)
It's funny because both these killers have a uniquely unlimited skill caps. Every day you get better with these just one Trap one Hatchet and next time you'll be able to predict better.
You can become a God killer with anyone, but the hatchets and traps have there own skill level
Probably start trying Bubba after the event.

Hag no doubt is better than Anna. Huntress can’t do what hag can. And I was a believer that Spirit was better for the longest time (might still be), but Hag has such amazing capabilities. Nurse is nurse :)
The difference is that Anna is proactive nature vs Lisa's Reactive nature. See above reply on this comment for further details on my opinions of these killers.
Also Hag has inferior cosmetics.

Usually I can expect to face camping/tunnelling killers in about 10-20% of my matches. Since this event started 80%. Seriously. All the douchebag, unsportsmanlike killers who only get pleasure out of making the game unpleasant for survivors come out of retirement for these things. I used to look forward to BP events. So f’ng sad how immature jerks find a way to ruin everything.
It's a good time to treat survivors to a ebony mori for all the Gen Rushing, Toxicity, Tea-Bagging, ETC that they do.
My first survivor hour consisted of these kinda actions. Sad part is survivors get little bloodpoints, but killers will still get a ton from this.

The SWF stuff? I like it.
Yes.
Because a rank 15 killer could get rank 1 survivors if the rank 1 survivor had a rank 20 survivor friend before the change.
That 15 killer had no way to opt out of facing a rank 1 survivor.
That rank 20 survivor though in the new flipped system can opt out of facing a rank 1 killer by not playing with their rank 1 friend.
We went from one side (killer) not being able to opt out to the survivor having an option to.
Way better imo
Cant argue this. I like this more as a survivor and as a killer.
-
Seems to me it would be a terrible idea. Right now we are limited to what we can run and how to build stuff. Adding a 5th slot wont be objectively game breaking, but it will get rid of some level of uniqueness by our limitation of 4 perks. Also imagine a God Killer with 5 slots.
-

Well she is Top-Tier after all... Or she can be, its debatable if she is Top-Tier or not, but I think she is with Billy and Nurse.
I think she's closer to Nurse than Billy. Oddly enough I consider Hag and Huntress better then Billy as well.
Billy is boring to play against. I have 3 killers in this game I find boring to play with or against.

SWF is just a different game mode. Rise to the challenge. The change your suggestion is like killing the game.
Not every SWF is a sweat death squad. Its friends playing casually. Most killers dodge these lobbies like the plague and get crushed when they end up playing SWF. It's a matter of skill you either dodge and nvr get the skill or you play against them and obtain the skill required to play against them.

Well you can run every perk you want, doc and wraith are for facts not good killers, because there powers doesnt help at all in chases against good survivors. Yeah sure at low ranks or against not good survivors these killers are op, but I am talking about really good survivors with atleast 2k+ hours.
Yet with those killers you can get to and stay at rank 1 with them. Problem is few people actually invest the time and instead complain and post messages how they are not the good killers. Which is true they are not as good, but still can do it.

0 to 100 is a bit too much. I think 20% gen progress toward the door would balance that situation out a little. I don't consider 2 gens done a total failure.
Lol any progress towards the down is impossible you already have chances accept that. No before EGC you used to have need to done 2 gens before hatch would spawn as last survivor. Now its just a joke that survivors get it for free. I hate playing solo survivor anymore by any chance anyone dies and suddenly everyone is ready for the hatch game. Least before you had to earn it.
Nowadays Killers get punished for doing well and Survivors get the reward for failing. Your asking for further rewards for being a failure.
-
@hitoribocchi said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/706907#Comment_706907
How about 20% per completed gen? ONLY if the hatch is closed, and it's last survivor.
2 gens done, last guy alive, killer closes hatch, door is 40% done?
Please see above reasoning.
I mean you want more free escapes as a survivor? Would you also like me to carry you princess style at the start of the trial open the door and let you out onto a soft pillow?
Seriously your failures result in a harder escape be happy you get a chance. If a lot of killers had a chance they would remove the hatch unless 2 gens are completed. This should seriously be a thing still.
Survivors get rewarded for failure yet killers get punished for doing a amazing job. Yet you can't be happy with your pathetic excuse of a chance while a killer has a punishment for his success.
-
@hitoribocchi said:
Should complete the doors by 50%.
Lol no that's stupid.
Survivors start the trial with 5 gens and a combined team of 4.
This means hatch spawns with all 5 gens done or equal to the remaining survivors minus the gens needed to be done.
Failure results in hatch opening. Sure it might of been your team who failed, but reality is that your part of this failure.
Hatch is closed. Door is now available to be opened. Again another chance for a survivor to get a undeserved win.
Each new stage is harder and unlikely to happen. Accept it and move on like killers had to accept that hatch auto spawns for last survivor. So no matter how good of a killer job you did you can be punished for it now.

This is probably the correct answer.
BHVR has been using perks as an incentive to break current metas they want to fix, like no-heal meta.
Unfortunately this means we will never see Fixated and No Mither together. And I hate that.
Please fix this so we can be Fixated with No MIther.
Problem is to do that instead of using every chapter to fix perks and metas what they need to do is introduce new generic perks every month. Having 1 perk for each side each month to start shifting metas creates a boon to the game.
Waiting 3 months for possibly 1 to 2 useful perks and a new killer is cool, but we need more perks to help with this at a faster pace. Adding more dlc would he problematic so generic perks would be the answer. With this they can also change perks rarity from common to ultra rare.

I've noticed - or, at least, think I've noticed - a neat thing recently. NOED seems to be losing it's negative connotation as a perk for baby killers for a guaranteed win.
I think the reason so many people are chainging their mindset is because of the additional realization that gen times go too fast, not that survivors are rushing gens. Therefore, people are seeing that NOED is just there for the A- tier killers that can't keep up, but don't like using Ruin.
So this thread is just asking/ putting up the topic for discussion - if Killers start using NOED again, will survivors still be getting on their butts in after game chat?
It's always been allowed, but it's just highly frowned upon and associated with bad players in general.
Most people who use NoeD fall under 3 conditions
- New to Killer and have few teachables.
- Bad killers who need something to secure a win they dont deserve.
- Just started leveling that specific killer and didn't get any better teachables
On the survivors side the only real condition for NoeD is as follows
- Totems aren't important so let's either gen rush and avoid them or ignore them all together cause he only has one hex totem like the average youtube video.
-
@Peanits said:
Others have already explained why, but basically it's because this perk was previously 2700 shards, but with the release of Stranger Things that same day, became a 2000 shard perk. I'll typically make those images ahead of time, so it was a little outdated by the time the shrine updated Tuesday night.
It's my bad, I'll try to keep that in mind next time we launch a new DLC.
Would it ever be possible to get a single perk each week that cost 2700 shards? The difference between 2000 and 2700 is a few good games, but the difference between bloodpoints makes the 2700 teachable worth getting over the 2000 teachables so I was wondering if the devs would consider randomly doing one perk each week this way.

Inner strength requires you to cleanse one of the five totems on the map, if four survivors run this then they’ll probably only use it once each if that. This perk can only be good if it isn’t a meta perk, if it became meta then it’d fall out of the meta just as quickly.
Its iffy since people do hunt totems for hexs and BP or just me, but I will say second wind will definitely see more long term play then inner strength.

C - Quentin, Feng (and that hurts as a Feng main but goddamn she can't even break a totem quietly),
D - Laurie, Dwight, Jeff (tall and loud)
E - Ash

I saw a Spirit use it in grim pantry the swamp map with the giant building in the center. The person was a decent Spirit we ended up chatting while everyone went full immersion. They got bored I got bored. They asked if they could kill me. I said sure provided my friend gets hatch and i can use my toolbox to completion. Jake was not part of the deal. Poor Jake. I had a game yesterday where the killer used dying light. No issues at all.
Also Dying Light plus Thanaphobia is pointless. What your showing is already a situation in which the killer has clearly won the game this just makes it the final nail in a coffin.

I think it's a great perk. The killer is unsure if you have deliverance or second win. Meaning a free one shot for 60 seconds or for 30 seconds if they bump into u. Either way it makes it hard to tell if you should return to the hook to pursue the unhooker or if it was a deliverance.

Because you are red ranks you should know that winning means pipping.
Winning to me means I had fun. I can pip and have fun or I can depip and have fun. Pipping means nothing to me with this awful ranking system. Everyone wears red rank with a badge of pride, but the reality is red ranks are boring AF no variety for either side and everyone is sweaty as possible. Sad part is I've noticed a lot of the better killers and survivors stop at purple most season and only rush to rank 1 towards the last few days.
Red rank =/= Skill
Red Rank = Time played this season.
I'm not saying that red ranks littered with bad people it's just that the good players are few and far between.
