“Us red rank killers” - been there done that. You must’ve missed the part where I came from red ranks, I put the t baggers in their place too don’t ya worry about that 😊.
PS: My Rank is yellow because I haven’t played since rank reset.
Funny enough if you were red rank you would of reset to green ranks. Nice bluff though ;)

ever since the update today killer FPS has been much worse on console, every second the game stutters and I physically cannot hit any shreds because of this. Its becoming very frustrating to play.
anybody else dealing with horrible FPS on console right now? (Specifically ps4)
On ps4 I have noticed that with the Demogorgan I have had odd lag spikes as a survivor with my friends. I get them when dropping pallets, when the killer does Shred, when the Demogorgan happens to bear near I happen to lag jump here and there. Even got hit when I was missed by the killer and moving elsewhere already seconds before the killer missed the hit.
Yet they had green ping and every other killer is acting normal.

Honestly yes to a degree. Anyone can rank up easily, but I was obviously meaning the gray ranks in his games. This OP is having fun using ebony's on low ranking newer players. Things like that are what deter newer people from continuing the game.

This is not relevant information. It is an accomplishment in a video game, which doesn't matter. This is some e-peen stuff, unimportant.
It's just weird that they added this change, because the only player action/question it could possibly prompt is "Do I want to play with someone of this rank, or not?" I'm wondering what the logic is on the developer's side that led to it.
I wouldn't mind if it showed your prestige level, but rank and character level is a bad idea it will promote lobby dodging.
-
So ruining the experience of newer players. Not sure why you brag about that.

Yea, she is a killer that doesn't really have a skill cap. You can keep getting better with her
I feel Huntress, Hag, and Trapper are probably the only 3 like that in the game due to the power mechanics. Plague and Ghostface could probably slide in, but not near the same lvl as the other 3.

Investing time is the best way, you will learn that certain loops can be cut off with her throws. you can hit people working on gens no matter what (unless they crouch) Try to use all your hatchets before reloading even if you do some risky throws. And most good survivors will try just to loop you to oblivion and you will have to find out when you should just cut chase and find someone out in the open. Also this vid isn't a bad place to start
Thanks I really love Huntress.
-
I play without BBQ on most killers. Very few imho actually can benefit from the information and able to actually use it quickly so other then if I am farming BP I usually play different perks.
Nurse, Spirit, Huntress, and Billy are the only killers I ever use it on anymore. It's good on Freddy as well, but it's still just ok imho.
-
I love the game because it's something unique and fun. The thrill of being hunted as a survivor and looping a killer. The excitement of winning the chase only for the killer to of completely fooled you is one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had on a video game.
Playing killer is fun because you have to consider what kinda people your playing against. It feels like playing chess with 4 people who have better communication and tricks up there sleeves. I like games where survivors tell me I legitimately scared them from how I play.

I'm probably B tier with her, but I absolutely love her. Any suggestions?

Kinda amusing how Billy is slowly starting to drop on a tier list. Not like it makes him weaker just that other killers are finally getting some attention.

I think Myers is a good killer but I also think Plague is 100% better, admittedly I’m a bit biased on my bubba ranking but I do really well with him so I’ve placed him higher up, I also think Trapper is very underrated.
I have ways had issues with killers or things in games with limited use or have a disadvantage from there own power.

This is my current list, might move Demo up once the hot fix comes out.
You have a interesting list seems I'm not the only one that things Myers is overrated. I get the feeling we think the same way for killers, but value different aspects of them.
-
@jackkn12 I like your tier list. I dont agree with some of your choices, but here's mine.

Will you ever rework Pig's Base kit and Addons? She needs some love after all these recent nerfs she has that no one even complained about.
Her addons really need some love and looked at. The large majority of her addons have little to no use for the game at all.
Some ideas I have
- You should add rule set number 2 to her base kit. Many agree this would help her.
- Increase her crouch speed significantly and increase the fluid movement between actions.
- Look into her RBT making it last maybe 18 seconds instead of 12 or remove skill checks all together.
- Put the roar at the end of her dash not the start. Will make this useful in the game. I would say start it at the 90% mark.

The tier list isn’t any different imo. People just play worse so you rarely see a good huntress.
Biggest difference between console and pc is the fps occasionally dipping on console. This makes Nurse, Huntress, and Legion Suffer some. Still the same tier list.
Otherwise I would say Nurse just drops to the bottom of S tier due to her being significantly harder to play on console for a majority of reasons. Mouse and Keyboard make Nurse unbelievably easier in comparison.
I play ps4 pro and pc.

Alright let me speak a bit more into detail about SWF in general. I realize I came off extremely rude when I've seen so many of these I just straight up say the direct answer anymore.
The Dev's themselves if you watch them play are at the bottom of the ranking system not saying all just from what I have seen in the dev streams. They tend to balance around these facts which makes Purple and Red ranks less balanced. Few killers in this game can deal with Hardcore SWF group.
As for the efficiency of SWF that's more or less pressed onto you. Most people tend to dodge these lobbies because they can be rather harsh and tiresome. They complain about the difficulty in general of these matches without acquiring the set of skills playing against these people gives. This comes from the game being competitive and thus not wanting to lose rank. Though everyone is aware rank means very little anymore.
The biggest example I can think of is most killers seem unaware that a 4 person SWF has eyes literally everyone yet depend solely on Ruin to help. Another issue is they dont provide additional objectives they play the game similar to a 4 person solo lobby. Everyone assumes this makes SWF unbalanced, but in fact all this does is make you have to learn different tactics for this game. Every game has multiple tactics and levels of play this is no exception.
Skills you should invest in learning properly in SWF include the following list.
Identification & Recognition, Map & Gen Pressure, Additional Objectives Creation, Fast Chases, Mind Games, Counter-Looping, and finally Survivor Pathing & Rotation.
This may seem like a normal list, but learning these specifically against SWF will help. This may seem counterintuitive, but the best two killers for learning these skills are Pig and Spirit.
If you would like further explanations please dont hesitate to ask.

WOW. Again another survivor main misunderstanding the WHOLE point of my post. Congrats survivor you actually made your argument based on the assumption the killer is trash at the game and that's why we hardly ever win against SWF
Not that I care or matters, but figured I would mention I play Killer more then Survivor. Quit dodging and complaining about the game and learn to play it. Once you quit dodging SWF you'll notice most solo groups become a joke.
-
Ya people are gonna keep playing the game with friends. SWF will still happen. Weak killers will dodge and complain. They finally don't dodge because that's all they can get then suddenly get crushed. Complain and dodge.
Why play against SWF and get better and develop the skills necessary to beat SWF. You can dodge for a easier game and complain instead.

I hate it when a random will lead a killer to you working on a gen just so they can live. Probably the most selfish thing you can do in the game.
Agreed. Funny enough I'm incredibly good at pulling a disappearing act. So most still have to take the killer. A lot of the times me and my friends will switch out so we can recover.
-
I prefer Feng, Jeff, and Jane.
I prefer looks over functionality. Especially since I would prefer to loop then hide in a game where hiding is almost completely dead.
-
@QuickStiQz said:
- Self caring in the corner of the map everytime he/she gets injured.
Even when you are next to them. Like they need to waste half a gens worth of progress.
Decide to loop at the place your doing a gen even though they had clear knowledge you were working here.
-
Ruin is a highly unique perk in what it does. It guarentees that a gen will last the entire time it would normally take to finish a gen without great skill checks. Unfortunately it's downsides are that with it being so common great skillchecks are not hard anymore to achieve and the fact it's a totem makes it highly inconsistent. Honestly ruin last the game for survivors who are not good while it rarely last for the survivors we need it against in the first place.
I would recommend trying out new perks in the slots you not use Ruin. If Ruin is a time based perk then you should look into other perks that are more consistent about that or learn to play without it.
I personally believe Ruin hurts a killers growth more then helps. It let's you learn the basics with a peace of mind, but you get used to it and you start to just expect it to be there when it starts to dull your instincts on other stuff.
-
Hardest survivor was Laurie and Ace for me.
As for killer Nurse, Billy, Wraith, Plague, and Ghostface I need to get still.
Longest running and hardest was Myers at 6 attempts and Leatherface at 3 attempts. Most killers I get around the first or second with the majority being first.
Best one I got was Huntress. Lullaby died early and the rest of her perks are meh. Surprised I got it at rank 5 with those three perks and no addons.

To be completely honest, i think Nancy shouldn't be there.
All survivor in the entity realm are proven to be extremely altruistic and to care about others. This is true for all survivors but the first 4 , nea, ace, and feng (especially since we don't know a lot about them).
I think there is no need to do a list with every reason.
Well, in my opinion, Steve follow this rule since the "First fight" with the demogorgon.
Nancy doesnt. I see her character as a really selfish one. Maybe is just me, but i dont she "deserve" the acces to the entity's realm.
I havent seen the last season yet tho, i may change idea.
Nea is she spent time evading the cops while she did graffiti. Feng Min I'm unsure of, but I think she was as well simply due to her perk Lithe.
-
I hit rank 1 every reset with both Survivor and Killer within a few days unless I goof off like normal. I personally find purple and green ranks more fun for both sides as your not limited to or constantly seeing meta builds. Variety is the spice of life :)

U forgot one quote: "next chapters could be anything, there is absolutly nothing off the table, right now... there is nothing to be for us" - Mathieu Cote
and yea, Money do almost everything, which means they CAN get the license, its gonna be hard af and expensive, but once again, there is nothing off the table.
Except the moment they add Jasom the legal battle extends to DBD potentially killing it exactly like friday the 13th game. We wont be able to get future content till everything is cleared up. Updated become battles for the dev's. At that point they would either delete Jason DLC and remove him from the game refunding ppl Bloodpoints and auric cells or watch the game die from stagnation. Not to mention is they add cosmetics for him.
TLDR Adding Jason ensures DBD's death by legal reasons preventing DBD's growth.
-
Probably max Steve first his perks are interesting plus he has a anti tunnel perk. Nancy and Demogorgan will be after. I might also do Demogorgan simply because BP is more effective for killer.

Premonition needs buffs, not nerfs. Spine Chill was already overrated as it is, but it was fine. And detection perks already didn't work against Evil Within 1 Myers. Also, Spirit isn't quite a stealth killer and if you make Spine Chill not working against her, then you just make Prayer Beads the most overpowered add-on in the game.
Still they make no sense actually revealing Killers who are supposed to be invisible or stealth at certain points.
I wish prayer beads would be reworked and this comes from a Spirit main. I think they make the game boring honestly.
-
@Jack11803 said:

That’s not very good. It’s a massive drop in power to perks that aren’t strong. And again, regardless of what spine chill can do, premonition IS TRASH
Well stealth perks needed a slight nerf. Yes this includes spine chill and premonition. It made no sense these perks could locate killers who were stealth based. You act like these perks were not becoming meta and nerfing stealth killers.
This Includes
Pig in stealth mode.
Myers in evil within 1.
Ghostface in stealth.
Spirit in phase.
Unless stealth perks get nerfed honestly these perks would of prevented new stealth killers from being created and limited potential design on some future killers.
The only perk I feel that should work for this simply due to the flavor text is Alert.

I don't care how much you guys have seen this. It's a genuine problem within the game, and I just want the Devs to give us an answer on the topic.
The truth is that killer is alot more stressful to play than survivor and I think that's a problem.
I entered this game as a survivor main and I still play survivor with my friends. Everytime I do the teamwork is insane and gens go by in 4 minutes.
THIS is the reason why we main nurse, spirit and billy. And it won't change if the Devs say nothing and do nothing
Gen speeds not the problem you are. Why add more boring mundane issues when the problem is your lack of comfort outside some Youtuber or Twitch streamer on how great BBQ, Ruin, ETC, ETC is. Seriously get out of your comfort zone and add different perks and maybe learn how to apply proper pressure instead of relying on overused and common perks.
This game has some many good perks on both sides yet people would rather only touch a perk if a "known DBD personality" has shown some time with it.
@TRB124 said:
You increase the gen repair time or add a second objective, you’ll have to face killers receiving nerfs, especially those with high mobility. Devs likely balance the game around the speed of gens being done. Altering it will throw off balance immensely.
It’s fine the way it is. If devs intended killers to get a guaranteed 4K every match then they would be a lot stronger. (And a lot less fun for survivors) You should have to work for the 4K rather than have it handed to you. Maybe killers need to accept that even getting a 1 or 2k is not a lose.
Devs wanted it to be 50/50 per match meaning that a 2k is considered a balanced tie. Meaning as a killer 3k is a win and a 4k is doing incredibly well. Yet a 1k is underachieving and a 0k is a failure on the killers part.

Legion needed a rework, not an utter nerfing into the ground like Freddy got. That being said, I'm buying Demo at least.
Honestly if Legion had 2 or changes he would of been fine. Frank's Mix tape and Moonwalking Exploits being his biggest offenders. I recall there being one more, but can't seem to remember.

Completely disagree, reason billy and nurse doesn't need ruin is because they both have the most insane map mobility allow them to patrol gens easier. Spirit mobility isn't as strong as billy and nurse and has to sacrifice her power for mobility or for chase. Billy can still insta down anytime unlike spirit who only has M1. Its totally fine to use ruin on spirit to slow the game down.
I didnt say it wasn't fine to use it on her as you run into Billy and Nurse with them. I'm just saying she can function at high rank against the same level of survivors.
-
Your not getting it if you switch Prayer Beads rarity from Very Rare to Ultra Rare all that happens is that Prayer Beads become more common in the blood web and more common to see. I see 1 ultra rare every game and its divided somewhat equally between Ebony Mori, Fathers Glasses, and MDR.
-
@Awakey said:

Agreed. Swap PB and Father's Glasses and done.
Yet all that does is actually make Prayer Beads more common since you your guaranteed 1 ultra rare and with Spirit there is only one per web.

Spirit doesn’t NEED Ruin but gens can still easily get done without Ruin. Her map pressure isn’t great without add-ons. Her power is on a cooldown and she can only go 35 meters. It had a 15 second recharge time and she wastes her power to get to another side of the map. Even if she finds a survivor, she has to wait for her power to recharge to be viable in a chase. She can’t juggle map pressure and chase potential like Nurse and Hag without add-ons. This is just base kit.
Against good survivors you’ll need Ruin without add-ons. Spirit gets pretty fast downs but she can’t cover the map with no add-ons, ESPECIALLY a map like Rotten Fields or Red Forest.
This changes however if she has double purple add-ons or Mother-Daughter Ring. She doesn’t need Ruin then.
Odd I usually do well without ruin and without addons on her at any rank I play at. I guess it might have to do with the fact I have been playing her since release. I can goof off till last second and still pull out a 4k.
@MegMain98 said:

He does that all the time. If he thinks Spirit is trash tier then he obviously doesn’t play often in red ranks. I’ve died, been camped, tunneled, and moried by so many garbage Spirit players with Prayer Beads and NOED. You can totally suck as killer, but if you have ears you’re gonna do well as Spirit.
In no way is she anything below second best killer.
Watching people using NoeD on Spirit makes me die a little inside.
