I feel like since the new update the performance of DBD on PS4 has significantly reduced, the frames I feel are really bad especially for killer and the time it takes to pick a survivor or killer is noticeably longer. Has anyone else noticed ?
Advice for people on console: Restart your game every 2 or 3 games or so, or when you feel your frames drop in the menu. This has been working for me.
(I would also advise restarting every game if you play a low frames killer like Doctor or Demo).

It does not need a nerf. You have no idea how many killers will tunnel you off hook. And sure, there are a small selection of survivors who will jump into lockers or sit on gens to get grabbed when you aren't tunneling. But these survivors are far fewer than the vast amount of killers who will tunnel the hell out of you off hook. It's a very frustrating experience when you come across these kinds of killers and I'd say at least 1 in every 4 games will have this type of killer (if not more frequent). The locker counterplay is so valid, too.
Very few are asking for a full rework, most of the people who think it's broken think it's overtuned, so the timer is too long and it shouldn't work from lockers. It's too powerful with unbreakable as well.

Can you clip it? That sounds hilarious, as if you're shooting them with some kind of unstoppable force. Do they fly back?
"Fly off" was a bit of an over exaggeration, but they keep moving at the same speed in the direction they were running. So they'll be moving at 4m/s while speared for half a second.

Don't you mean how useless 3/4 of his add-ons are?
Id argue 90% of his add ons are useless, didn't speed add ons get nerfed as well?

Wraiths ability doesnt give him 230% speed nor can it instadown. Also the huge bing bong and slow down is a downside.
Doctor has a cooldown on his 360 blast, and his other shock attack is non-lethal
Demo has a cooldown on a teleport
Theres a huge difference between those and an ability which can both instadown and cross the map in seconds. He would never be made like that today without a limit on his ability.
I wasn't talking about the strength of the power, nor what it does. I was talking about how free it is to use.
Point I was getting at is that even if lets say his ability was nerfed into the ground, he would still likely be fun if he didn't have a cooldown.
Look at wraith: Weak ability, free to use whenever. Fun killer. Same with Billy, except his ability is much stronger. Some people think he's fine with no cooldown, some don't. I personally think he doesn't need one due to his ability being very reliant on survivors mistakes.
They've basically turned him into a much, much weaker nurse. Still kinda good, but unfun as hell.

Wait, somebody who has no limit on his power is fun to play as when you stomp 90% of your games with instadowns? Color me surprised.
No, not because you apparently "stomp" all lobbies (which you don't). You have no limit, you almost feel "free" if that makes sense, making it fun.
Other killers with limitless abilities are fun, wraith is fun, but not strong. Doctor is pretty good, slinger only has the reload cooldown, demo has very little CD etc.
Of course this is usually the communities stance on fun killers and it's very subjective, but you understand what i'm getting at.

I’m going to a killer addiction at the moment but I’m just so sick of vsing SWF and getting bullied :/
anyone feel the same?
Recently ive been getting a lot of SWF, that's fine, what isn't fine is maps and map offerings.
Ive been pretty much insta DCing when I see either a badham, ormond or midwich offering when I suspect it's a SWF. It's just an instant loss especially for deathslinger. I'll happily verse a SWF on coldwind, autohaven, macmillan, hell even lerys. But when it comes to a point where i'm losing because of the map I got, not because of my mistakes, that's when I DC.
If I were you Id recommend realising what you're good and bad at. If you're bad at putting pressure then that's on you, but if you come up against constant map offering SFW, I would put down a map that's decent for the killer you're playing.

"a handful of salt"
It's going to be a bit more than that, maybe a saltmine.
At least the complaints about billy are valid, this change has made him incredibly unfun to play and you always feel like you're on a limit, which is why people liked old billy. No limit. Which with a power like his doesn't need one.

I've been watching some videos recently of people playing with Legion, and it enticed me into wanting to purchase the DLC. Unbeknownst to me however, were that those videos that I was watching were much older videos and no longer accurately reflected the Legion of today. You can imagine my surprise when I started watching more recent videos on how to play with Legion, and everything that made Legion sound interesting, now makes Legion sound incredibly frustrating.
You can no longer down anyone with feral frenzy, which is fine I suppose, but I was unaware that perks don't apply to feral frenzy hits: Franklin's Demise, Dark Devotion, etc, which again is fine I guess, but probably worst of all, miss an attack while feral frenzy is active, and the whole thing will deactivate. You can imagine how frustrating this can be when you have a new player, or more specifically a new Legion player, trying to hit an experienced player that is good at "juking".
And for those that you do hit with feral frenzy, what's the point in causing a deep wound status effect if the survivor never has to worry about mending themselves so long as they keep running and vaulting over objects? It kind of defeats the purpose of a "deep wound" doesn't it?
I also find it rather humorous that his add-ons serve no real purpose other than to make his weaknesses less frustrating. 😄
THIS IS WHY DBD NEEDS A PRACTICE MODE!!! Older videos just creates false advertising. And if you're not going to implement a practice mode, then for the love of God put in some up-to-date training videos for each individual killer.
*Sorry for the long rant everyone, but if you can tell me something I don't that makes Legion fun to play, please let me know!*
Advice: If you want Legion to be fun and rewarding, run enduring and thanatophobia on most builds. Skill with Legion mostly comes with practice.

Literally the most annoying question on these forums when someone vents their frustration at the disadvantage of vs'ng a tryhard SWF. I play ps4 East Asia region late at night everyday (1-5am) and trust me once you hit green and beyond, as killer all you face are red/purple rank SWF (3 man minimum). Guess people like to play with their friends ok fine.
To the killer mains (or killer/surv) friends out there Im sure youll know instantly when there is swf and a tryhard one as well. I wanna share how I suspect, detect and confirm this quite easily throughout the trial. Before surv mains get angry over this Im in no way discrediting you guys Im sure youre all great players, who knows maybe your swf team will be more efficient after reading this post. Lots of times Ill get bodied by efficient ones maybe 1/5 games Ill get 3/4 kills, but it just helps me calm down cause I realize Im up against the odds when facing these teams.
At the lobby is the most common way to detect, multiple P3 Blendetes are the easiest telltale. A 'bright' kate/nea/zarina with a flashlight as the chaser with darker skinned teamates as gen jockeys also gives it away. Finally multiple toolboxes or flashlights will indicate the style of the swf as well. Next is offering multiple BPS/Oak or Haddonfield/Farm/Ormond offering is common for swf, cause they wanna double down on BP since theyre likely gonna win.
During trial is the most obvious. All advantages swf have over solos boils to one word, INFORMATION. Although its not the same as specific perks, swf can still relay these info when there is absolutely no way for solos to do the same. Here is a list of perks providing such information for solos that all swf team members can get for free:
1) Alert - I saw him pop the upstairs gen, focus on the shack gen instead
Killer - My bad thought I didnt hear shack gen too loud just now.
2) Better Together - Shes chasing me away from this last gen near harvester, you guys finish it after healing its 90% done
Killer - Tinkerer is freaking useless!
3) Bond - Applies to whole map with a bit less accuracy. Need I say more?
4) Dejavu - I saw 2 close gens near the pantry but hes following me to the shack now, focus on that to break the 3 gen early
Trapper - There goes my 3 gen, guess its gg.
5) Detectives Hunch - I saw the ruin at the cow tree, Ill lead him away for you to cleanse
Killer - Totem spawns are stupid!
6) Empathy - Do you need healing? Im in the storehouse working on a gen come here and Ill patch you up with my medkit
Killer - Guess thana isnt doing much for me
7) Kindred - He just left me its clear to unhook or - Hes proxy camping bang out that middle generator quick
Killer - To camp or not to camp, that is the question
8) OoO - We all see you, you can only see me lol legit the killer is the one scared now
Killer - Im gonna tunnel you if its the last thing I do Jake!
9) Plunderers - Found the hatch? Bubba franklined my purple key/flashlight at the cop car, pick it up hes chasing me inside the house.
Bubba - Keys are broken! Hiughhahhewhahehajue!
10) Wake up - Ive 99ed the gate at the circus, just head here we'll take hits for you or - Sorry I gotta leave cant hold this gate cause he's tier 3 now, you can go to the other gate at the first gen we did near the jungle gym remember?
Myers - If I leave they use this gate, If I stay the EGC might get them before they find the other gate - proceeds to Moonwalk at gate
11) Windows of Opp - I 360'd him guys! Still got my dead hard to get to shack or jungle gym, did you use god pallet? Its still there go nuts!
Killer - Yeah take my misshit bait go to that jungle gym theres nothing there fool, wait why are you turning left?
Endgame. Leaves me wondering how is that theyre soo coordinated? Never taking me to a gen thats worked on, always knowing which tile still has a pallet. Always finishing difficult gens when Im occupied. Heading to hatch as I chase and all of them already waiting there to escape cheaply. Never more than 2 injured if Im doing something for more than 30 secs. Always going for the right gate. Unhooking the moment Im halfway to go pressure the other 2 off gens. Usually nearby for a flashlight save. 3 man coordinated body block for the girl dead on hook. The guy with DS/Adrenalin voluntarily taking hits for injured teammate when nearly all gens done. Amazing For the People timing if I slug. Result - ENTITY DISPLEASED =(((
They must have at least a few aura reading/info perks right? Nope, just the common DBD meta (DS/BT/DH) combo + some other for 'plays' like Unbreakable, FTP, Head On etc. So how the hell did all of this coordination happen without a single aura reading perk? Final slap to the face, gg ez baby killer. Funnily Ive never had such messages vs solos. By now its quite obvious. Somehow the same thing doesnt happen when I face high rank solos or even 2men swf. Survs unhook timings are less precise, 3-4 people injured at same time is usual, gens at 90% usually regress halfway if Im chasing that surv away from it.
From a person facing swf (sweaty and non-sweat) 4/5 games in my play time/region, I can easily answer "How do you know theyre swf ?" quite easily. When I enter such lobbies I know what Im up against and Ill put my sweat bands on. Doesnt mean Ill enjoy it. When I get solos I really do laugh and smile while playing goofing and farming around with surv if the EGC has started.
Its not gonna change I know but can we all please accept that it is a HUGE advantage for these teams and such a pain for the killers having to vs them every single game in certain times/region. Balancing solos up to swf before making it fair to both sides is lightyears ahead and might not even be feasible. I plead for the developers to consider and sympathize killers facing sweaty swf regularly just a tiny bit moving forward with this game. Just a simple 25% extra BP for every surv in a party wouldnt hurt much.
I play at the same times when my sleep schedule is messed up like right now. You are NOT joking when you say every game is a SWF, hell i'd even say there are more SWFs than solos at that time.
Worst part is that majority of them are toxic dwights or quentins.
I've played a lot at these times and I can tell instantly when it's a SWF judging by their usernames, outfits and profiles. A very common thing is to have a random 5 letter username like "CNDV-" or "N2-_-RB", I have absolutely no clue why there are so many usernames like that. Their outfits will always have prestige 3 on them, and they'll always be arabic for some reason. Some have inspirational quotes in their profiles or make their profile look really edgy which is ironic because they're always the most toxic ones.
But anyway yea, it's super easy to tell these are SWF.

@Leachy_Jr I came from PS4. I can promise you that I have never had death threats, multiple accounts from the same person harassing me, wishing cancer on my family and seeing if I'm the killer just to throw up a broken map then proceed to use OoO x4 with toolboxes, 3 Hook seperations and 1 map choice of theirs then head to the most broken area then proceed to blow up my messages with their alt accounts for the next 3 days so their main account won't be touched. Trust me. I've even had my IP Address found by a script user on PS4 using a Google Chrome exploit and sent to me as a threat just because I beat SWFs. I may get called hurtful names on PC but the amount of crap you deal with on PS4 is legendary.
Ah, that makes sense. Jeezus christ.

Why every player that is good (like pro) must be cocky (sometimes toxic)? I played against Spirit. He absolutely destroyed us. We said ggwp. His response was ez. I also played against very good Huntress. He killed us all four, but it didn't go without toxic behavior. I don't understand why good players in this game must be like this? I want to have respect in them but they make me hate them. I think we could say the same about survivors.
They have the skills to back it up, but that doesn't mean they're likeable people.
Most actual pro players usually have something to make them be toxic. On the PS4 tournament scene, it's heavily neglected to use DS when you're sweating in pubs. Like really, they do NOT like it.
If they a decent SWF squad all running DS, it's quite likely they're going to be a bit toxic. Also if there is any blendettes that they don't like.

My favorites personally are Ghostface and Legion. I love Scream, and Ghost's mechanics are pretty cool. Legion is just a blast, run around the map just always stabbin.
Deathslinger or Legion. I really can't pick between them. Slinger because of how much control he has and Legion because they're fun asf.

Soul guard is mental, definitely a second chance, along with deliverance.
Sprint burst saves you if you are out of position, other exhaustion perks do the same but to a lesser extent.

So here we can see the clip of a normal run where the survivor is getting chased and she decides to go down and get inside again of the asylum, but for her surprise, the killer hits her from one part you normally shouldn't be able to get, and you can't say this could have been countered by looking where the killer was because it's obvious the part you should be looking is at your back where the killer is suposed to be coming for you so you can try to prevent getting shot, you don't have a 360° cam to look everywhere.
Now you can tell me this is just like a tech or a bad design of hitboxes of the wall, but if this was a survivor doing something similar and the killer wasn't a huntress or deathslinger so you wouldn't catch him, that would be called an exploit.
While it might be considered an exploit, it really isn't a problem as the nea could've gone a different route and not been shot, so it's not like it's uncounterable.
Also somebody else on the thread pointed out that scorpionz did a similar thing with pig on the dev stream, so apparently the devs don't mind.
-
Borrowed Time - Good anti tunnel perk that does it's job, even prevents camping. Barely anybody wants this perk nerfed, even killers don't due to it being fair.
Decisive strike - Very good perk that does a little too much, can be abused for 1 minute of 100% invincibility and is hell when combined with soul guard, unbreakable. Makes the killer feel unfairly punished for getting DSed because he doesn't have a 60 second timer for every unhook. Most broken (IMO) when hook bombing with DS, now 2 people are invincible.
There are good designed anti tunnel perks like BT, and there are bad ones like DS. If killers really wanted to tunnel, they would be asking for both a DS nerf and a BT nerf. But they don't.
DS is unfair.

Killers, I know you're harder to play than survivor, and sometimes stressful. But please, if you finally kill that last tbagging scumbag, rather than nod aggressively and shut hatch in his face, give hatch.
And i know it sounds ridiculous, but that's the challenge behind it. You show that toxicity doesn't affect you really, and trust me you'll be the winner in the end when you're surprised by a thank you from someone you would have never thought said it. You'll feel good and like a man in control rather than following instincts.
I know a lot out there are just scared of having hard games and have the habit of tunneling someone out of the game at 3 gens, please don't let it be the baby Meg or Dwight queued with the clearly superior players. Try going for someone who at least knows fundamentals of looping. Or better not do it at all unless you clearly have to (4 survivors 2 gens etc..)
Survivors, I know sometimes you tbag at pallets and click clack to get the killers attention making time for your team.
But especially with visibily green/yellow rank killers, please don't. Think of the many unfun matches they had to play before yours due to the broken matchmaking.
You could try crouching and nodding, it looks cuter and funnier, and certainly not as annoying and dishumilating as tbagging. You don't want him or her camping you at the end of the day.
I'm hoping one day we all get along and ditch the DS/NOED arguments because of one bad match we had.
The "war" will stop when everyone plays both sides and 99% of toxic people are gone, which will never happen.

@slunder said:
So, today I just got camped by 2 killers, and in both cases I died. After the game tho, my teammate was accusing the killer. I feel like this is unfair. Yes, camping sucks and should not be a thing: it is broken, and it should be removed from the game.
However, the killer is not at fault for camping. Let me explain: first, killers can deal with a lot of stress. Losing a down due to a dead hard for distance, for example, can feel bad for the killer and put a lot of pressure on him when he realizes gens are flying. Being put under a lot of stress can make the killers want to stop and they will panic, not knowing how to win besides camping. Afterall, the killer is supposed to kill: it is not their job to avoid using dumb things that devs allow in the game: their job is to kill us, the survivors.
Then, there is another thing that makes me think killers are not to blame. It is the fact that camping is a strategy that the devs allow: the killer has that tool to his disposition and he is allowed to use it. And like I said, the game tells the killers to kill, it is their goal: the game does not ask them to do it without tunneling or stuff like that. They want to kill, it is what their role is about. Their goal is not to obey to survivors, it is to slaughter. Basically, this means that its up to the devs to fix this issue, and killers are not to blame.
In conclusion, I hope that survivors understand killers a little bit more and come here to complain instead of trying to make the killer feel bad. At the end of the day, this is just a game and killers are just humans, like you.
Not everybody plays both sides so it's hard for them to realise what the opposing side has to go through.
Until people realise you either need to camp, tunnel or slug against good teams (of which you can't slug because of unbreakable) against a good squad to have a chance to win, they will be continued to be named scummy strategies.
(I do understand however that those strats are unfun to verse)

@azame said:
Alot of people believe these these three killers have counterplay so I decided to make a thread going in depth the reasons why they lack counterplay. If I am wrong and you they do have counter play feel free to provide it.
Spirit:
Spirit lack of counterplay comes from the fact that her power has no tell in a chase leaving the survivors mostly in the dark. This lack of tell leaves survivors to guess. This guess is very much in the spirits favor. Add stridor into the mix and you have a broken build more on that later.
The reason the guess is in the spirits favor is because she can stand still observe your moves and act accordingly. If you walk/run away she phrases to your location and hits you, if you walk towards her she hits you. Against a good spirit there isnt much you are able to do and you are pretty much choosing which way you prefer to die. If you are injured it doesnt matter because like I said a good spirit is immediately phasing towards you and downing you.
Stridor spirit is a dirty build and has really.no counterplay. This is because it counters iron will which is usually the reply to "how do I counter spirit." When you are injured you are counting down the seconds until your death. There isnt really much to say on this because the majority of spirits run this.
Deathslinger:
There isnt much to cover mostly his zoning and quick shots.
I'm gonna start with his quick shots. The quick shot shoots in less than a second it shoots very quickly you can not react to that. Because you can not react to his shot you have to guess when hes gonna shoot and dodge accordingly. This is the problem let's say you are dodging preemptively you are losing speed and distance, then he can get up close and m1. You either guess right and he misses. Or you dont guess right and he walks up and m1s you due to your constant dodging.
His zoning is insanely strong and oppressive in chases. He can ads in and out. So let's say you are running from a deathslinger and he aims then you dodge. You start losing speed and distance then be does this a couple more times and now he had caught up and m1'd. His zoning strength comes from the fear of being shot and the fact you have to guess.
Pyramid Head:
Pyramid Head is short and sweet his zoning is far to powerful for how easy it is to do. Let's say you are running towards a vault and a PH is behind you, you vault he hits you with his range if you fake he hits you with his m1. The problem is there is zero delay after cancelling his punishment of the damn to m1. I have footage of this if you want proof. That's really it for PH
Final:
One more thing before I go the usual answer for all of these is to rush gens but then gen rush is complained about kinda confused here but that's all for now. Until next time.
I would compare Deathslinger to a LT wall, where You either vault or don't vault the window to avoid the killer. In response the killer can double back or keep going in order to counteract the vault.
Saying you want a counter to slinger is like saying you want a 100% counter to LT walls, when they're deemed fair, you have a 50/50 choice of whether to vault depending on what you think the killer will do.
Slinger is the same, it's either he does, or doesn't shoot, no in-between. It's your job as a survivor to predict whether he is going to shoot or not, just as much as it's your job to predict whether the killer will double back at the LT wall. It's the same type of guess, just because he put his gun up doesn't mean he's going to shoot. You can read a bait just as easily you can read a shot.
Assuming it's a good slinger, you're going to have to do this 50/50 around every 3 to 2 seconds assuming you are at a killer sided loop, even less if the loop has tons of LOS blockers. In some extreme cases he won't even be able to get a shot off such as jungle gyms, rock loops etc.
This is something I absolutely do not get people with slinger, I ask them to predict right against slinger, and i'm told "Just guess right 4head". But when it comes to LT walls, then it's an actual mindgame? #########?
One thing I will agree with you on is that he has no 100% counterplay other than predicting right, but he doesn't need that, and the thought that killers need 100% counterplay is stupid IMO but that's a completely different discussion.

We already know that providing tools meant to encourage hit and run or non tunnelling play styles get abused by tunnelling players.
Look at OG Legion.
Look at PH before the cage change.
Old Legion was just horribly designed, and the hit and run method wasn't viable due to limitations such as a super short frenzy. More importantly people only tunneled someone because it was hard to down someone as an m1 110% speed killer.
PH doesn't really have anything to promote hit and run unless they brought in something like a built in IF, more importantly he counters DS and everyone wants to take advantage of that (even me).
I think if there was something to directly promote hit and run people would do it.

When did Freddy get the tunnel rep back? I mean, that was truly his calling card with Old Freddy but reworked Freddy usually teleports away to use his pop and disrupt gen speed, leaving the hook wide open for rescue.
Did you mean Pyramid Head, as far as having a bad rep for tunneling, I hear he is the one most blamed atm~
Nope I meant Freddy, he just denies BT and along with his gen slowdown, he can just get someone out of the game very quickly. It's why he's top tier.
Also ive played against some pretty good squads as Freddy, hit and run isn't that good and lots of things in his kit encourages you to tunnel.
-
@Kellie said:
Then he'd just be better at tunneling.
While he would be very slightly better, he's now more encouraged to play hit and run.
As I said at the bottom, if they did this and nerfed his tunneling ability i'd be completely fine.

Huh that's odd, i'm on PS4 and queues usually don't last that long unless i'm in a SWF. What rank are you?

I think it would be interesting and good for the community to discuss what they think should be reworked/buffed/nerfed and how that should be handled for that specific perk, power, item or offering and see what is agreed on by most people, while keeping it civil and open to constructive criticism.
IMO they shouldn't do a full rework to anyone like Freddy, they should only do partial reworks like doctors static blast addition. I had my main destroyed (old freddy) and I really wouldn't want to put anyone else through getting their main destroyed as well just because the community wanted it (I'm looking at spirit here).
They should do nerfs, buffs, slight reworks ONLY.
As for who needs a slight rework, clown is the most noticeable one, as his power just feels incomplete. Maybe they could add in another type of bottle that does something like speed you up or gives bonus tracking.
Myers' power is outdated as hell and needs simplifying up a bit and buffed in the process.
Demo could do with an add on pass to make add ons above common actually do something, along with a few small buffs.
Pig's RNG needs to be reduced but other areas need buffs in compensation, either that or make her more consistent with traps. I dislike how she can win almost any game if she's lucky enough.
Other than that I can't think of any other obvious ones. Maybe an indication when spirit is in phase but I don't care for that.

If the game is getting bots as a way to take over for players that disconnect, and that are designed to play at different difficulty levels given the ranks of the people in the game, then I see no reason why these bots couldn't be used to create a single player mode. It was done for Friday the 13th, so why not DBD?
Hopefully, and it could get us a better practice mode/tutorial so high ranks aren't flooded with boosted players.

Hello! I bought Plague months ago, but I don't play much with her. I think she is weak and very counterable because:
1: the fact that the survivors are completely cured by drinking the water leaves the Plague very weak.
2: We spend a lot of time breaking the generator and then puking on it.
3: We spend a lot of time in chase puking on a survivor until he falls down.
I would like her to receive a balance because she is an iconic character that much of the community has affection for.
Thanks for reading this far.😄
Plague balance wise is fine, shes a solid mid tier.
The problem is that she is horribly unfun. So all I want is a bunch of QOL improvements.

Nah, I was on this thread before you, next time dont edit pictures to get up votes :)
This is the definition of a entitled killer main, you clearly did that on purpose, let's pretend all survivors look to the ground LMAO
Once again, not here to discuss that, if you think I "edited" an image when the best editing software I have is MS paint, then that's you.

This is called "harassment". They're the type of person who laughs at their own jokes, cause nobody else is laughing. So they need to fill the laughter void.
"Hey guys look at this *insert false accusation here*, he did this!!!111! His opinion is not valid reeEEEEEEEE"
He did this in another thread, not the first time lmao.

How do u want us to take your opinion serious when you LIED to us in the stretched res discussion so it fits your entitled killer main agenda?
God you will not shut up about that will you?
The image isn't edited, he quickly adjusted his camera in a similar position to try and show streched isn't cheating. Look back at the clip, he quickly looks up.
I'm not here to discuss this with you, and more importantly the fact you keep on following me around threads exclaiming I edited something when I didn't makes you look childish as hell. ESPECIALLY when the topic isn't even about stretched.

This exactly. I'm more than fine with borrowed time punishing tunneling killers, but it shouldn't be rewarding hook farmers.
People think "oh you want BT to be nerfed a bit? TUNNELER!!!11111" Same with DS.
Point is that just because something is overtuned (BT, DS), doesn't mean we want to tunnel.

I understand the hate for the old version, but not really for the new version. I'm a 50/50 player, and I really don't have all that big a problem with it, certainly not as much as DS. I was playing survivor today, and ran it. The killer we were playing got a 2k (They killed the 1st at 1 gen, 2nd when exit gates were powered), after the match they got really mad about me running it, even though I only got to use it once. So is it just them? or do others feel the same?
Because it rewards bad hook saves.
I don't mind it, I do think the timer is a bit too long, but whatever. It as a perk needs to be in the game to counter hard camping.

Anyone here use him frequently?
Whats a good build for him?
and how often do you manage to get survivors stepping in torment?
In the off chance I play him I use pop, infectious, corrupt and discordance.
I don't have all perks, but this is the best build I could come up with what I had. Infectious to see if you need to cage or not, Pop for pressure, corrupt because well its corrupt and discordance for any gen tag teams in the late game.

For real tho why do we only get 2 figurines of characters when the tome has 4 characters?
For example tome 2 had Spirit, Doctor, David, Jane

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/6OPOB1SH3857/to-011.png
But there was only figurines for spirit and David
It sucked for Doctor and Jane mains cause they couldn't get a doll of their character
And the same goes for these things:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/I9SZLHI5BAJW/to-028.png
Why only have 2 of these when there is 4 characters
Here's my proposed change
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/R9WEPURTT3LG/untitledwww.png
Get rid of 6 of these things and replace them with figurines and other stuff for the other 2 characters
Plus your charm inventory would be filled with less junk you won't use
Those copy pasted charms are just filler content for the pass, so I doubt they will go.
It would be good tho for all 4 characters to have dedicated charms.

I know I've said this before but I think this would make strategizing with other survivors and just make being a single survivor easier and more fun. I play SWF alot. I have about 3 different groups I play with. But they cant all be on at the same time. Sometimes I've gotta play alone. I think that if we had an in game chat..FOR SURVIVORS ONLY....it would make it more interesting. Not only be able to meet new people as you play but to actually be able to talk to other survivors and come up with a game plan. Instead of having to go through making a party and attempting to invite everyone before the game starts. And if someone gets mouthy all we gotta do is hit that little "mute" button by their name.(U HAVE to have a mute button if u add game chat) now to make it even better...if instead of using regular game chat, why not make it proximity wise? I feel like that would make things kinda scary and WAY WAY MORE EXCITING!! Does anyone else find this idea exilerating?? but my question is...why hasent DBD made it this way yet? Is there a specific reason?
I don't see them doing this as if they did tracking perks like bond would be useless. I would love it though.

There is literally nothing you can do against a good Spirit with Stridor. Just curious if there's ever been any talks or changing anything on her. TIA.
I mean, you could genrush her, and actually prioritise the first hit similar to what you would do with oni and play super safe.
Spirits fine, I do understand the hate towards her, but she isn't (at least personally for me) a high priority rn.

Chases involve.... Pressing W as survivor.
Konamis licence with BHVR has them by the balls so I heavily doubt they can do anything major to any of their stuff such as the map.
However, if i could get it deleted I 100% would.

If you are playing to win, which I am, tunneling makes sense. By removing a link, you are making the rest of the survivors do more work, which makes patrolling gens more succesful. By tunneling someone out of the match you are making mid to late game much easier. I don't think it's the nicest strategy, but if you play to win that isn't an issue. I guarantee that person you refused to tunnel isn't going to care if you have fun, they want to win as well. It's a free for all. That's why I'm ok with scummy tactics on both sides. And I never play survivor. If you want to bodyblock, flashlight spam, or the like go ahead. We're all trying to win in the end.
This is the exact point I try to get across to survivors and none of them accept it. People STILL think that hooking everyone 3 times is the most efficient strat.
It's also why camaraderie is one of the most underrated perks in the game as if you're trying to get someone out quickly it delays that for a short time.
EDIT: I could go into how DS just denies the most efficient way of playing with no skill involved, but that's a different discussion.

for me killer is way harderer to play in terms of moral
when you play killer survs tbag you at any pallet or window, they accuse you after game if they dislike something, they alltogether write "ez" if they succeeded in escaping or somehow outplayed you, they whine if they lose, they prolong game by staying at the gates and tbaging.
i mostly play killer but recently i played surv and you know what? I feel relief
I dont feel this insane pressure as when i play killer counting each second because any wrong decision (walking to the wrong gen for 5-10 sec) means complited gens Getting a flashlight after a difficult chase just an amazing feeling almost as good as in a bunch of bodies picking up surv with "antitunneling perk"
As killer you always 1 vs 4 in chat dont you dare for a moment broke any of uwritten rules imposed on killer (camping someone or following him after unhook) they will tear you apart
Killer is harder if matchmaking doesn't give you potatoes.

Looking to spend some iridescent shards and I can't tell which one I should get. With the right perks Legion can be deadly, but I know the Spirit is really good as well. Which would you choose?
If your getting both eventually, get spirit, then Legion. But if you can only get one: Get spirit for power, Legion for fun.

When they changed Ruin it was, at least the reason they was to help newer players. This was because newer players found hitting Ruin skill checks extremely difficult. I've long argued that as old Ruin Ruin didn't really effect experienced survivors it's change didn't really effect gen speeds.
That said, I am forced to wonder, did it have the secondary consequence of flooding the high ranks with bad survivors? I remember the trouble Ruin gave me when I was new. Without that hindering them. I believe new survivors are finding it much easier to rank up. Reaching ranks that aren't a true reflection of their skill.
Anyway, that's my crazy theory. Does it sound plausible to you guys? Or am I completely nuts on this one?
That actually explains a lot, but i doubt thats the reason for the flood of bad players.
