From left to right based on how high their skill cap is. This is all my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. To explain some key positions. 1: hag. Set up killer, need to know the camera flicks, the trap placements and how to adapt to each map. 3: plague. Plague require map knowledge, aim, decision making and you have to know when to use her power. The only person I have seen that has mastered her is fungoose. 4: pig. You need to know proper mindgames and you can pull off some really cool tricks on maps, where you can dash through windows and over pallet loops. 5: clown. Clown requires a lot of skill, because you have to learn how to zone survivors into deadzones, which requires extensive map knowledge.

7: doctor. So much nuances to his kit, and not everyone can utilise them all. 9: pyramid head. You need to know when to use your cages, you need aim, you need to also know how to shut down loops. 10: Oni. I am an Oni main so I may be biased, but you need to learn very hard tactics like wall strafing to down people. 15: wraith. Need to know how to properly shut down window loops or pallet loops by blocking windows whilst in stealth. Now for the bottom 3.

All of the bottom 3 can be switched, so they are all tied in my opinion. Spirit's power rewards her so much for what little skill she requires. Her mindgames of standing still takes no skill, and her phasewalking is easy if you can hear and track scratches. Ghostface's power is just look at the survivor, or hit and run. Neither take skill. Legion is just an m1 killer with boosted speed and pallet vaults. What do you think of mine, and what would your list be?

All killers in this game require skill to play, the only ones who need very minimal are shape and Forever Freddy.

I don't play a variety of killers so i cannot say each skill cap :(

I'm one of those people who buys DLC packs when I feel like it, and not just when it comes out. So I'm looking for a new one and I'm considering getting Shattered Bloodline. Yeah Ik Adam has his pebble, but I don't really care about that. All I want to know is if Spirit is worth it, and if so, how I should approach using her.

Thanks for the help in advance guys.

She's pretty good, but you have to expect people to be more toxic towards you when playing her, she isn't very liked.

Also I expect her to be nerfed soon due to sed complaints, so keep that in mind.

I've rarely seen DS+Unbreakable. I can guarantee you it's not ran by everyone.

Never seen anyone run these 3 perks together. And if it happens all the time, I don't see killers posting screen shots.

It's not used by many, so I don't really know what people are talking about there, but I versed it as slinger against a 3 man of it a few days ago.

It's the absolute most broken combo in this game, seriously, it's tragic. It hits hard at endgame or when you need to get someone out the match.

  • @ZaKzan said:

all they need to do is reduce map size. There's nothing else they need to do, no other balance features, just reduce map size. Every other attempt to balance the game is just a bandaid. The major problem in dbd is map size. Once that issue is addressed, all other problems are miniscule and just require some tweaking of things like gen times survivor speeds or killer speeds, lunge lengths etc.

There a many things that make a map unbalanced, not just map size. For example, badham is still a horrible map for killer as the generators are almost always in a house, behind a building or anywhere that is hard to reach as killer.

Even if it was the size of coal tower it still wouldn't be balanced.

As for my opinion on gen times, i do think they are a bit too fast, but the generator objective as a whole kinda needs a rework.

  • @KRG said:

    Title.

Which one do you think is better/more useful for solo play?

Using both is great, but if I had to pick one it would always be DS, that perk is too broken to turn down and it's probably the best survivor perk currently.

  • @ggezbaby said:

Let me preface this by saying: I understand the reason for the killer lock. I understand it's so high rank players can practice as new killers against a fair survivor lobby. This is all understood.

Now, to my point: If killers have to have a load out ready before even searching for a match, so should survivors. There is absolutely no reason survivors shouldnt also be locked into their choices. If you have any legit reasons, I'd be happy to hear you out.

But why is it okay for a survivor to have the opportunity to last second a key but the killer has no choice but to stay or lobby dodge? Theres no reason why I, a rank one survivor, can wait until the very last second of lobby time to switch to a key or some other item, while killers are locked into their killer choice.

If the devs plan on keeping the killer lock, a survivor lock definitely needs to be looked at and implemented for the sake of balance. If not, good job continuing to kill a great game by implementing further ways to ruin the killer experience.

And if you're a killer main and you're cool with this change, good for you man but its important to take everyone's opinion into account, and in my opinion, it's bad.

This is going to end tragically if the hack to see the killers loadout and killer is still around, however I think that got removed a few weeks ago.

But yea survivors just shouldn't be able to quickswitch, I wouldn't ask for a lock, as I like customising survivors in lobby, but more of a "can't switch when 15 seconds are left" kinda thing.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/173533/why-is-gen-rushing-still-possible

Gen rushing is the only counter to spirit, slinger, and PH

You can also camp main buildings against PH and slinger, but overall yea if they're really good gen rushing is the only counter unless you can guess right.

  • @Boss said:

Saw the usual "genrush" comments & discussions pass by, and i thought it'd be a good idea to ask.

The short version: How mandatory is it to equip one or multiple slowdown Perk(s) on your Killer?

The long(er) version: It happens quite regularly on here for people to share how fast matches can go.

So i'd like for you to imagine your favorite Killer to play as, and then tell us if you use slowdown Perks, how many you use if any, and tell us which those are if any.

Also, if you don't use them on your favorite Killer, please do tell us why.

Older players might remember how good Brutal Strength was back in the day on Killers who weren't Nurse.

While it wasn't mandatory, it was unusual to see a Killer not use it due to the sheer time you scrape from breaking Pallets.

If you currently feel that way about a slowdown Perk, that's when you should mention it here.

Usually against a mediocre squad, only 1 is needed. Against a good squad however, you need minimum 2, and one has to be corrupt or your early game doesn't exist. The other one has to be pop, ruin or surge.

I couldn't care less if they get rid of strech res, what im discussing is that IT isn't a advatange for survivors, it is a advatange for killers.

I think you should try it yourself on nurse with shadowborn, that's basically a free win, I Stopped using it cause once I wasn't able to be being blinded by survivors, so I was scared to get a ban

    You're kinda avoiding my point:

I have basically shown that Stretched Res lets you see further and over loops, as shown by the screenshots. You can NOT do that on normal res. That is the physical definition of an advantage.

As for killer, I don't know if it's an advantage as I haven't looked into it, so I can't say much on that.

  • @Khakuate said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1458517#Comment_1458517

Yes, I did and I USED it.

And it doesn't give a advatange to survivor, as I said it is cheating only for some killers (nurse, legion etc)

It does, you can see further, and over loops you usually can't, just because that screenshot doesn't show that doesn't mean it doesn't.

That is an advantage, there's no other way to describe it. You don't have that on normal res.

Dunno about killers, however it is a bit strange how lots of good nurses use stretched.

  • No I wont test as ive already got proof its cheating, but thanks for the suggestion <3

  • @Khakuate said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1458505#Comment_1458505

Dude, I tried 1080x1080 personally, and it doesn't give you a advatange as survivor, it's the same.... if anything it gives advatange for killers like nurse, legion, or the pallet breaking animation, but hey no one talks about this.

EVEN when im playing killer on 1080x1080 sometimes survivors are not able to blind me, that's why I stopped using it, that's straight up cheating for killers.

Did you see the screenshots? How on earth can you call that not an advantage. Actually how?

  • @Khakuate said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1458421#Comment_1458421

What advatange gives you seeing across the map?

Yeah, nothing, btw the survivor still can see the killer, so basically there's ZERO advatange, and you act like this is a competitive game lol.

That res is tall enough to see over some if not most tiles, giving you an advantage.

  • @Stehpflanze said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1458459#Comment_1458459

"Yes, you can see a bit further, but in reality, it doesnt change a single loop. EVEN if you were using 1080:1080 which nobody does."

Do you know what words are? Or do you just have an attantion span of a fly?

It. Does. Not. Allow. You. To. See. The. Killer. At. Any. Loop. That. Wouldn't. Allow. You. To. See. Him. Anyway.

Still gives you an advantage, which is the problem. And you can see over loops, most noticeably autohaven jungle gyms.

  • Stretched rez is cheating, its been proven and said many times even by tournament players. I only know 1 content creator who thinks it isn't and he pretty much only plays survivor now. :L

Just because you want something to suit your views doesn't make it not cheating.

EDIT: Because I need to provide proof apparently:

    image.png image.png

Ya no advantage, see? I can only see across the map with stretched. /s

  • Looking at this thread makes me wonder:

I wonder why killers want to dodge SWF?

Could it be that they expose some of the most broken, unbalanced things in this game? And that they're incredibly unfun to verse?

But noooooooooo... The killers only want to dodge to bully some solos, not to not have a disgraceful experience.

Like all silver clothing or something? For doing some kind of feat in-game in 3 months or something and choose 1-3 characters to have it? Like shiny silver for bragging rights. Like escape 50 times in 1 month and kill 100 players as killer? Maybe an event?

A silver Legacy should be added for people who played killers before they were "reworked", for example, people who played doctor before the static blast was introduced should get it.

    Whats going on lately?

I had these situations in the past few days:

    As Playing Killer:

Survivors bring two map offerings and the one that didnt get their map DCd.

Oh no i got downed first DC

Oh no Killer will reach hatch before my friend does DC

Oh no its a Pig! DC

Oh no I got grabbed off a Gen DC (1 in 100 grabs worked finally)

Oh we didnt get to finish the gen in the killers face DC

Oh no we wanted to finish the Gens but now its 2 people on the hook and the killer saw me DC

    As Playing survivor:

Oh no its a Map offering DC

Oh no we got that Map DC

Oh no I lost track of the survivor in first chase DC

and one DC without me knowing why the PH dcd (probably crashed or parents pulled the plug because its dinner time)

TBH theres not many games where its a 3v1 early on in the game.

No wonder killers get many kills XD

Also I just watched an XQC clip that had me laugh:

"A quitters Bonus!?... HOW ABOUT A LEAVERS PENALTY?!?!?!?"

this discribes the DC Problem pretty good atm :)

The dc penalty is off right now I think. I've also had tons of DCs.

This is proof to anyone who says the DC penalty does nothing.

  • @timbologna said:

I know better then to ask for actual stats, but I feel since i've been spending alot of time to get accustomed to solely him as a killer i'd like to know sooner rather then later so I have a chance to jump ship to someone else. Seems many are on a nerf spree now that billy has a rework and i'd like to just dodge it completely by getting accustomed to a different killer. I've been at most a green rank killer that often has to deal with being bullied by reds, so i'd like a killer that is static and isnt changed after i somehow get into higher ranks.

Don't want to jinx myself here, but they nerfed spirit based on pickrate and killrate. Slinger has I would assume an average kill rate and an incredibly low pick rate judging by my matches.

More importantly, most of people actually complaining about Slinger are just on the bandwagon and don't have many valid arguments. I know the devs are competent enough to realise this and likely won't make changes just because of a small minority complaining about deathslinger.

EDIT: or of course they could nerf slinger for no reason, that's an option as well but that'll kill him. Just shows if they do people aren't willing to learn predictions. :L

Nah, OoO doesnt need to go. It needs a secondary drawback. Perhaps needing to stand still to use it, or requiring (replenishable) stacks to use it.

IMO nah, the whole concept of being able to see the killer across the map is busted in itself. Needs rework IMO. No downside could negate to the amount of info it provides.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

    OoO needs to go.

How tf have you gone from "I want billy nerfed whether it's the last thing I do" to "Dead hard needs looking at and OoO needs to go".

Anyway back to topic yeah OoO needs to go, especially due to the amount of problems it causes on midwich and its power in SWF.

Freddy: Just needs his wake up clocks to be RNG not directly across the map.

Spirit: Indicator for when phasing, even if the shards on her just glow enough to notice them.

Deathslinger: his ADS needs looking at, everyone argues about his terror radius but it’s the ADS that gets people because there’s no real counter.

If deathslingers ADS gets looked at, he'll be the next worst killer, worse than clown.

  • @xxDeathwishDW said:

    Why?

Dead hard counters most of the top tier killers or killers that have great potential to snowball (Nurse, spirit out of phase, oni, Freddy to some extent etc).

More importantly it can make up for possibly game changing mistakes.

  • @Snowbawlzzz said:

Since Scott's new video, there have been a lot of discussions about what killers are "fun" or "unfun" to play against (fun usually just meaning "easy to bully"). I don't think the use of this metric will yield any positive changes if it's normalized and the balance team starts reading into these threads. I know I'm going to get responses along the lines of "Its not a competitive game", but the fact that it's PvP-only means that this game is, whether intentionally or not, competitive. And in a competitive setting, balance is the first priority. This game's playerbase has a lot of overlap with the fighting game community (IE Tru3ta1ent), which is about as competitive as gaming gets.

The thought of Deathslinger being changed to be more "fun" in the eyes of survivors haunts me. He's already a skill-based killer that requires movement prediction, pop-shotting and player reading to perform well with. I wouldn't put these devs above giving him a huntress-like directional terror radius to make him a straight downgrade, for the sake of "fun".

Spirit is kinda understandable, but deathslinger,,, ohhh boy. The amount of people who verse one good deathslinger and get destroyed and now want him nerfed/"adjusted" really shows. Scott being no exception as the arguments he makes seems as hes bad against him.

Now there's two different types of killers, "objectively" and "personally" annoying killers.

"personally" I find Myers extremely annoying, it's controversial, but that's me, I'm not saying he IS annoying, as many other people find him fun, but I don't. "objectively" annoying killer would be an example of old Legion that you couldn't do anything against. Deathslinger is not "objectively" annoying.

Deathslinger is only annoying if it's either a godly one who can read everything you do on a good map, or your bad against him. And i'm guessing a solid 90% of the people who complain aren't very good against him.

And, If were gonna complain only about godly deathslingers, then we also have to complain about huntress, nurse, hag, etc..

(Also this whole "fun" metric started when old legion was introduced).

And a killer that allows the survivors to win in 3 minutes is trash too. Your point is?

My point is that survivors have near enough full control of the match depending on map, killer chosen etc...

  • @xenotimebong said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1437223#Comment_1437223

And once the Nurse starts injuring and downing people, what? Leave each other to die? Considering how quickly Nurse can down people that’s a recipe to lose. You can’t keep all survivors completely split up for five minutes, even if you try to coordinate social distancing in game survivors have to cross paths with each other at some point.

That's where unbreakable, camaraderie, deliverance etc comes into play.

Also she downs fast, but not that fast, against good survivors a chase will be minimum 30 seconds and max a minute because they can just run in a straight line.

  • @xenotimebong said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1437186#Comment_1437186

You can’t spread out if you spawn together (which happens often) and the Nurse knows where survivors spawn (which most experienced killers do). Unbreakable would buy you time but considering Nurse can down survivors in seconds it probably wouldn’t add much time. And Camaraderie is a meme perk that nobody runs so I don’t think it’s even worth mentioning.

You can spread out, assuming you spawn in a corner of the map, someone goes left, someone goes right, someone says where you spawned and the final survivor goes center gen.

  • Camaraderie is great in a SWF especially when you devote to gens over the survivor on hook. Yes it's a strat and yes it works.

  • @xenotimebong said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1437164#Comment_1437164

You’re wrong. A good Nurse could easily win the game in under 5 minutes against a good squad.

Spread out + unbreakables and maybe some camaraderies, nah, no way. Especially with the amount of bugs on her.

  • @ClickyClicky said:

Love how the gen speed videos have 200 replies and this has none. Nobody complains when a killer wrecks a team in a few minutes. Its just gonna be the “bad survivors” excuse.

Really shows the bias in the community. Both sides have the potential to quickly defeat the other side.

Dunno how long until people realise this:

If the killer wins in the first 5 minutes, the survivors played trash.

If the survivors win in the first 5 minutes (or more), either A) The killer was trash, or B) The survivors genrushed to high hell

There is absolutely nothing in this game that makes you win as killer in under 5 min against a good squad, nothing. As much as you might want to deny it, the survivors were trash.

He’s not talking about going against a rank 10 deathslinger, or a red rank who isn’t good with ds. He’s talking about (a) add ons that basically eliminate your terror radius (b) he can instantly lift/drop/lift his gun repeatedly to force you to path where he wants, then it’s a guess as to when he’s going to fire, when to juke, etc. Not anything to disagree about with his statement

He said he's disliking the killers that almost eliminate any of the survivors skill, and while it may be true for spirit, it's absolutely not for slinger.

A: His TR is 24m, 16m with monitor, and you can see that tall mf coming from a mile away if he's trying to get a shot. If there is too many LOS blockers for you to see him you'll have a warning before he can get a shot. Very few situations where its been almost impossible to avoid a shot, and he needs for him to be running monitor for it to happen which is horribly overrated on him.

B: Depending on the situation you can tell whether he's going to take a shot or not depending on the skill level of the slinger, if you're just rounding a corner then he'll likely shoot, if you're out in the open he'll likely not shoot.

Of course good slingers will be unpredictable, but that's on you to read him depending on how good he is. Remember he has no map pressure, so his ability must be good in chase. If it can be countered 100% of the time he'd be trash.

just wanna see what people here think from the person that is generally viewed as fair voice in the community as both "sides" tend to respect him.

I'm fine with most things he said about spirit, but he doesn't seem know how to verse Deathslinger. If he did he wouldn't be saying it's a guess and some of his other complaints just don't make sense about him (like skill doesn't matter against him).

Hello. I've been playing this game for almost a month now and other then The Spirit match (because just like everyone else saying, it's pretty much a gamble), I really do enjoy playing this game.

But I just don't understand how to play against Pyramid Head.

I'm not saying op or nerf because I believe there is a way to counterplay against him. But I just can't figure it out by myself how many times I try.

The first problem I'm encountering is the ground attack thing. This is the biggest reason why I'm keep getting hooked. It happens too fast to the point I can't dodge to the side or run straight to avoid it because of the range. It goes through wall and everything so the pallets and windows vault are nearly effective because by the time I vault, I'm already AAHHHHHHHH-ing. I feel like I'm missing something here.

Second, the trap. Unlike other killer that can set pinpoint trap, Pyramid Head can just poop around that dark trap in a dark game. Last time when I encountered him, he just hooked survivor and poop half circle around the hook so from any direction you go, you will get hit by the trap and whacked. Btw why is there a skill check while you're in the cage? I just don't understand this one.

I'm not trying to spread hate. Massive respect to all killers who patiently waiting for that long matchmaking and thank you for showing mercy sometime. I just want a tip or advice how to play against him.

If i'm in a wrong category, I'm sorry I'm new here.

Ii's fine, i'm almost certain your in the right catergory :).

With his ranged attack it's mainly predicting based on the skill level of the person playing him, so if you know it's not a good pyramid head, it's likely hell never go for any risky shots, however, if the player is alright with him then he will go for some. Most pyramid head players are at this level and don't know how to properly bait, so look at the direction he is looking and assume he is going to do the attack.

Also try to avoid purposefully locking yourself in a long animation such as vaulting a pallet, it's just a free judgement hit if he has his knife in the ground.

As for the trials on the ground, you can crouch over them and you won't be tourmented. Sometimes though you will be forced into them, but that's out of your control.

Im currently thinking about maining spirit

    Any good builds for her?

My current build is bbq, stridor, enduring and monitor

And that's the problem with spirit a guessing game which you said to yourself she has no counter. Being forced to waste your materials to survive isnt good what happens when the pallets are gone?

Well if your teams good all the gens will be done when all the pallets are gone so that will almost never happen, and also it isn't "wasting" pallets if it's preventing a hit.

I mean, it's a guess, so make a better choice of what you do, I personally don't mind the guess part as it requires skill from both sides.

  • @coppersly said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1413878#Comment_1413878

Only if you played him in a specific way though. You pretty much gave up trying to win until the end game where you could sleep everyone and the gates would take like 2 minutes to open.

Outside of that he had game-breaking flaws. It was a cool concept but it was just riddled with flaws.

The hit and run build slowed down gens to a crawl, and the transition made you get easy first hits and sometimes downs. He was short so he could mindgame more pallets than usual and absolutely destroyed any stealth build.

As long as you played as a hit and run killer, he was pretty consistent on winning, of course not against good SWF but barely any killer is at that so that why he was mid tier.

  • @coppersly said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1413769#Comment_1413769

This. Old Freddy was a walking carpet for survivors to walk all over unless you ran an incredibly specific build that focused on one incredibly specific part of the game and ignored the rest of it (The forever door build)

Also, I repeat this again: Why would you want old Freddy back? He was literally an m1 killer, his only power was to make it so he could interact with survivors... That's terrible (again, outside of forever door).

He had the most pressure in the game and had transition mindgames. He was an easy mid tier or possibly mid to low.

Personally id put him next to pig in mid tier.

  • @BubbaMain64 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1411583#Comment_1411583

The problem is that you literally can't do anything against Spirit in a chase. If you run you give her scratch marks to follow so you can't leave a loop fast enough to actually get away. If she hit you she has even more tracking and you can't tell where she is ever at so there's no opportunity to even make a legitimate decision other than "oh boy I hope she doesn't go this way". Against a Huntress you can at least react and actually play the game. Not so much against Deathslinger but he sucks anyways. Spirit is way too strong for how easy it is to play her.

You can't do anything against her if she's good. If she's not a good player then it's pretty easy to predict her. She also does require skill, as much as people want to believe headphones are the only needed thing on her (ironically ive seen a trend where people who complain she requires no skill barely play her). As I said she's not top tier for nothing.

Also deathslinger does not suck at all, in fact I would say him or PH is going to be taking over billies spot on the tier list.

As far as mobility goes, it's negligible. Sprinting heats up the chainsaw at a significantly reduced rate, so you can do entire laps around the map no problem. More importantly, even if it overheats a few laps in, it doesn't cancel your chainsaw.

As far as curving and all that goes, your ability to do so is functionally unchanged. You'll only notice a difference if you miss a bunch of them or pull out your chainsaw way too early (something you don't want to do anyway because it means the survivors are going to widen the gap).

But that's the issue, you need to pull out the chainsaw early in order to moonwalk to get the survivors in a bad position so you can curve them, you can't do that anymore.

Yes because having no way to see what the other side is doing and getting killed for that is balance. So is not being able to loop literally anything because you're slowed down all the time.

Drop pallets early against Freddy and he can't do much except bloodlust which wastes his time.

For spirit NEVER let her get possession on pallet, drop early and make educated guesses, she ain't the best killer in the game for nothing. If it's a god spirit then yea it's quite hard to escape, but if you're complaining about that you also have to complain about god deathslingers, huntresses etc who can end a chase just as fast.

    @MandyTalk

How many posts a day until the topic becomes spam?

I'm only curious because I think this is literally like...the 9th one created today.

At least people are actually suggesting changes they'd like to see, and not just spamming "nerf DS!"

Whether you agree with nerfing DS or not doesn't matter, I think these people should still be able to talk about it with their different changes to the perk.

Plus if it's talked about that much, there most likely is a problem with the perk. (Key: Most likely)

He's right. It's a dirty play style to just tunnel out of cages with no counter play. His best strategy was tunneling that's not good for the game

But tunneling isn't "dirty", it's efficient.

Plus there was counterplay, being good. Him hard camping the cage blocking any saves was BS and i'm glad that was removed.

Someone tunnels and people act like they've committed a war crime lmao.

His ranged attack is perfectly fine. When used correctly, you either get the m2 or the m1. If you're missing, work on your aim.

It's mostly not aim as the survivor can easily dodge if travelling at a perpendicular angle to the attack. More so prediction as the hitbox to actually damage the survivor is quite small.

  • @Mak0 said:

Ah yes because getting rescued from a cage only to get put back into a hook is 100% good. As a survivor and killer main this change was needed your just mad you can’t tunnel relentlessly anymore ;) killer mains are the first to complain about DS then do the exact thing it was designed to prevent

Wow it's almost like tunneling is kinda needed sometimes to win the game.

Also stop saying "killer mains", it makes you just look thirsty for a pointless debate between killer and survivor.

It would be beautiful if there actually was an addon that makes you play as the old freddy, i miss him too much and i really want to play him back... please devs can i get at least a maybe? Can you give me a little hope? You would make happy me and a lot of other players

I know how it feels and ive already tried asking for something similar, buuuuuut everyone still thinks he was trash (even the devs I think), when he wasn't.

We might get a killer similar soon if candyman releases, as how candyman works is kinda similar to old Freddy.

I know rankings don't really matter in the grand scheme of things, and that I should focus on improving more than anything, but I just can't seem to break free of purple ranks on killer. I've watched guides, gameplay of good killers, etc. And for the most part they've helped me a ton just getting to rank 5~7 relatively easily. But from here, it's been a struggle to even avoid depipping vs teams of red ranks. It almost feels like a different kind of game since they typically don't fall for mindgames, and usually are organized enough to pop 2 gens or so in the first few minutes of the match even when I actively go out of my way to patrol them (I typically run Corrupt Intervention to help with this), or corral survivors I do find towards gens so I can injure a ton of survivors at once. If I do happen to get a down in around a minute or a half, gens are already popping even when I do.

Basically, it feels like I need to commit to chases to cause actual damage/pressure to survivors, but if I do so, I risk letting gens pop. If I only just injure them and then return to the gens, they basically just spread out and get them done slower on their own. So that even if I end up hooking one, those gens soon follow. Could I possibly get some advice? Cause it feels like I shouldn't be struggling this much after practicing as much as I have.

    For the record, I play a multitude of killers with the following perks. Add-ons vary depending on mood and what I see in the lobby (Also, I play Michael as well, but I've yet to get all the perks for him I want);

Pyramid Head (Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes the Weasel, Trail of Torment, Surveillance)

Deathslinger (Sloppy Butcher, Monitor & Abuse, Corrupt Intervention, BBQ & Chili)

Demogorgon (Save the Best for Last, Pop Goes The Weasel, Thrilling Tremors, Corrupt Intervention)

Ghostface (BBQ & Chili, Discordance/Nurse's Calling, Pop Goes The Weasel, Thrilling Tremors)

Legion (Discordance, Pop Goes The Weasel, BBQ & Chili, Thanataphobia)

Doctor (Sloppy Butcher, Ruin, BBQ & Chili, Save The Best for Last)

Run pop on slinger and hes top tier, hes heavily map dependant though which can make him lose games.

im not going to complain that its the survivors game to loose but please just allow killers to know what they are facing. i can at least adjust my build to fight them before the game begins. if im going to lose i want to put up a fight

People woudl just dodge, however, dodging kinda proves that killers are at a major disadvantage with SWF, further showing how broken it is.
