  • Issue is though, is by nerfing her BS hitboxes is directly nerfing her viability. So buffs to compensate would be absolutely needed - especially buffs against good players.

  • The issue isn't its stun, it's the duration that it's active for.

Literally if DS activated for 30 seconds, but went down 2x slower in a chase or on the ground it would be so much better as it wouldn't be abusable and would reward good, long chases.

Along with that buff BT so the effect activates when you are unhooked, not when you unhook someone else, and change it so stealth killers and freddy can't camp as well as they can.

  • Understanding why you lost is a big stress reliever for me, if I had a bad match I can look back and see why I lost and do something about it. If I notice I had a bad early game, I'll run corrupt and focus more earlier.

There is some times where you lose even though you played perfectly, that's on you to just acknowledge that this games balance and core design isn't very good with perks like DS, UB and OoO still existing. Same for survivor, having Ruin Undying exist makes matches hell bent on RNG and being a useless teammate getting totems.

Plus sometimes you just have a bad game, or bad day in general where DBD isn't being very nice to you.

  • I do it too. I don't even know why.

  • I wouldn't like a cooldown, but reduced time when active. Currently you have to wait out 15 seconds which is slightly too long and allows for protection hits of teammates.

Plus, there's way more problematic perks then BT, such as DS and UB, so I kinda want BT to stay as it is.

Run Forever Freddy or Iri Head slug, survivors want to troll.. do it back

Yea but I play slinger, and he has no pressure so most of my games get to at least 3 to 1 gens remaining assuming I don't lose.

  • No he wasn't, unless I have bad memory.

I know bubba is constantly banned and I think bubba was banned in BOTB due to camping issues, but deathslinger's fine, he would just get genrushed into oblivion EDIT: Bubba was not banned nvm.

Also, why is deathslinger banned in other DBD tournaments? I haven't even heard of any where he's banned but I wanna know why.

  • I'm really starting to think you greed pallets and windows a bit too much with how you complain about hit validation. While it is still a problem and I still do get hit in unfair ways sometimes, it doesn't effect me every game unless I'm against a Twins, Huntress, or Demo. You could just be unlucky, which is, well, unlucky.

Everyone hates MM currently, and it is a huge issue (Imo, the MM is the current biggest issue in the game, even bigger than balance issues). So don't feel like you're alone on that. Look for fun in chases and outplaying the killer, as playing to win the game in solo Q is just rolling a dice with the MM for good teammates.

Also FYI vault speed build is just placebo, it saves literally milliseconds for 2 perk slots. Unless you like Resilience and Spine chill and their effects (which I don't think is that useful to you cause I'm pretty sure you run object), then they really aint worth taking.

Hey! I had an idea for Hex: Undying rework due to the nature of the perk seemingly being frustrating for both sides (survivor side having to cleanse 5 totems at times, killer sometimes losing undying first)

    Hex: Undying

A Hex totem that draws upon the power of all other totems in the trial, causing them to be blocked by the entity while this totem remains on the map.

When this totem is cleansed, it reveals the auras of all other totems on the map for 5 seconds. The entity releases the hold on all other totems on the map after 10 seconds, causing them to become unblocked.

This is kind of like, Corrupt Intervention totem version? Could be a cool concept, while less frustrating than current undying.

I think a more basic approach to the perk would be better, while that version sounds ok, it's still liable to an unlucky (or lucky) totem spawn, making the effected side cheated out just because they got unlucky. It does have an indication it's in the match though, which would let survivors know that you have it. It would be pretty hell trying to find it on midwich or Lerys.

Personally, I would remove the Hex status off of it, and either:

    A) Make it a corrupt intervention for totems, blocking them at the start of the match for about 2 minutes, guaranteeing a decent duration on your totem.

    B) Make it transfer a cleansed hex totem once, resetting its stacks. Have an added, small effect so it works with perk tiers.

I would personally go for A, makes it more consistent for both sides and more fun.

I seriously dont see the point on applying Broken Status to survivors. I mean... If they're not healing they're just gonna rush the gens, why would you want that? I like Sloppy more, doesnt have such specific restriction and it makes survivors waste more time + it's also good for tracking injured people.

As slinger, people resetting and forcing you to use up 2 bullets to down someone can waste a lot of time. Forced penance keeps people injured so they can't reset and get all healed, meaning faster downs for you and higher snowball potential. While sure you don't get stall pressure from them healing it should be made up for in lots of quick downs.

For other killers I've heard it's pretty trash though, on slinger however it's basically as good if not better than sloppy depending on how alturistic the team is.

  • Hide behind objects (such as a car) and move around them when he rushes at you, even if you are in a deadzone. Learn to predict exactly when he'll start a rush in key locations. Abuse his awful FOV height.

Assuming you get a super good blight (which will probably never happen as I've never versed a good one), pre drop pallets and avoid taking long loops such as ironworks building. Stick to small, confined loops. Kinda play like your against a blood fury Oni.

    Streamers usually aren't #########.

It's almost like they have a community and audience they're trying to build, and being a douchenozzle is a really bad way to make friends.

Literally half of the streamers in this game have built their community on being toxic, both in their personality and how they pay. Along side other traits like being funny etc. Toxicity was a fairly noticeable part in old streamers.

Thankfully most of them have moved on and realised that being toxic is not good morally. We still have toxic streamers around though which is where I suspect a good chunk of todays toxicity come from.

So yea, streamers really are not effected by how they play. If anything being toxic is just another "trait" of theirs.

  • @Mister_xD said:

Oppression imo is one of these perks that could be really good, if they just werent bound to such a lengthy cooldown...

Yea, I wish the cooldown was more about 60 seconds and not 80.

Still a super fun perk tho.

  • No you mean that due to gen speeds, map design and survivor perks that actually putting pressure on the map is fully reliant on survivor mistakes. So killers have adapted the most efficient strat to deal with that.

Try and pressure a good 4 man while not tunnelling, not getting a 3 gen, not securing a kill (essentially 12 hooking) on a mediocre map with mediocre tile RNG. You wont get more than 1 kill.

I understand that killing someone early and 3 genning against a bunch of solos is completely overkill, and myself also dislike killers who sweat against a bunch of babies when the don't need to.

But saying that killers are doing this because they're bad against good people is just wrong.

  • If they actually make meta changes such as nerfing DS, UB and Ruin, Undying, then the year as a whole is gonna be better than every other year combined. Every other change is an added benefit in my eyes.

Hopefully though they don't mess it up with another broken release (or releases) like Legions and Twins.

  • Bring a mori to counter the key.

    Oh, wait...

  • Add 200+ dripping effects to pipes, showers, etc to screw over console framerate.

Lots of bright lights in places where they shouldn't be.

    Loud noises.

Make the colour palette all gray.

    Add windows everywhere.

Make it super long so killers have a hard time pressuring.

    Hide gens incredibly well.

Wait, that reminds me of something.

  • How tf are people still finding them weak? Even against good players they have tons of utility and synergise perfectly with Ruin Undying. Their slugging doesn't even mean anything, as good squads wont group and get injured all the time.

If we're talking buffs though, you have to nerf victor. Reduce his MS by 5 or 10% (going down to 145% or 140%) and nerf his charge add on and MS add ons.

Buffs: Recall at any time, see aura of person with victor on them, remove the ability to kick after a successful attack and smoothen up the transitions and reduce their time.

  • Ask him about DS UB and see if he gets flashbacks.

No, you can't be banned for a build.

  • It's really not whataboutism, people only use the word whataboutism because "mR sCoTt sAiD iT".

It's more complaining that they weren't addressed at the same time.

Imagine if ruin undying was nerfed and DS UB wasn't (or vice versa), the game would have a massive strength increase on the side that didn't get nerfed. All the time however this massive strength increase could be avoided by simply changing both at the same time.

Also as @chieften333 said, it's gonna take decades before keys are addressed.

  • Personally I would want a full rework of the perk, but this could also do well assuming the devs don't have the energy to fully rework it.

Still doesn't fix it in 4 mans, as frankly they don't care if they're being looked at, but it's a good change overall.

  • I was expecting a completely different type of post ngl.

Try deerstalker or BBQ, helps when finding lost downed survivors.

  • Deathslinger works, he only has one bug that I know of which can be avoided easily (excluding bad hitboxes on objects, but even then there isn't that many with BS boxes).

Or instead of making someone miserable and using the inability to 12-hook to justify it, you could practice snowballing map pressure.

You can't 12 hook a 4 man, it's literally impossible. They split gens and have good chases out of your control. Rule: If you can 12 a 4 man, they weren't a very good 4 man.

Plus "making someone miserable", nah, It's called adapting to how badly this game is balanced around good teams. They wanna pump out gens in 5 minutes, I'm going to get someone dead as quickly as possible and pressure from there. End of the day these people want to win as badly as possible disregarding the killers fun, so I'm going to do the same.

Even then, if I'm in a 4 man or I'm against a squad I know, it's pretty fun to have a sweaty match once in a while.

  • No, Decisive prevents tunnelling (or heavily reduces it), basically giving 4 man SWFs a second life as you cant 12 hook a good 4 man.

Your real only choice is getting someone out of the game ASAP, which decisive screws over.

The ability to abuse it is just another added effect to its design.

  • Lets hope they address his main and only issue, which is he is too easy to play. Everything else on Freddy is fine, even his strength.

Knowing how the Reworks usually go though, they make him incredibly janky and unfun to play and littered with bugs. Including a completely unnecessary nerf to a piece of his kit which was fine in the first place. Well, that's how the Billy and Nurse "Adjustments" went.

I really wouldn't get hopes up. It is still possible though that they do some really good changes.

  • Cause her scream is irritating.

  • Against bad squads they are a slugging machine, yes. But against bad squads, Oni, Nurse, Spirit, hell even Demo are slugging machines.

Good people will not get mass injured and they will not group together. That's what makes them good, they know how to counter slugging without perks. With perks WGLF and unbreakable are pretty meta these days, so I really don't see it as a bad thing.

While I do agree that Victor could do with a slight nerf alongside buffing their kit, if you get 4 man slugged, it is entirely your fault and your teams fault for grouping up, getting all injured and not being able to stall victor for enough time to move him away from gens and friends.

  • I have been able to loop reliably assuming some pallets, super similar to a huntress pallet 50/50 except your trying to get a stun. Plus the reason you are getting short chases is due to positioning meaning a lot, he basically has a built in stealth mechanic with a bunch of free hits.

Other than that he really has very little to no counters assuming the victor player is good.

They're the kinda killer to make you say "Yea, (Insert name here) is gonna complain about this killer being annoying in a few months"

  • Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes.

They should but they won't. All they care about is making money and everyone who bought this broken DLC basically is supporting that

Also, difference between devs and people who control and manage what they do. I know they can make questionable changes at times but they most certainly do care for the game, they just had a deadline that they couldn't meet from the looks of things.

Speaking of the devs I hope this QnA can clear a lot of things up and give us some insight.

  • Cant wait for answers to lore and "We're looking into it".

    Devs prove me wrong pls.

  • Run STBFL, always.

Also try to aim depending on where your target is gonna be. On a small loop aim a bit downwards, shooting long range aim at about lower chest height.

Never shoot when survivors are in the open unless they literally just run in a straight line.

Try to be unpredictable, don't always shoot but don't always ADS bait.

Go for fancy shots for fun.

Run corrupt or pop or both. Don't be a "casual" or "pOp gOeS tHe bRaInCelL" gamer. Just don't be dumb. Run what you want.

    NOED is a good pick.

Slinger is one of the most tilting killers to learn, hence why you see a lot of baby slingers and not many good ones. If you plan on learning him and getting very good with him know he is the most inconsistent killer in the game and people will be toxic towards you given you aren't destroying them.

  • As a serious response: They have a LOT of ways to generate income, in fact more than most games on the market right now. Increasing DLC price isn't a good way to go as they already have many ways to get money:

    • DLC's
    • Battle pass
    • Actual game price
    • Cosmetics

So to make it clear, the devs do like what they do and they get money for it. They aren't not putting effort in because they're not being paid.

My guess is that they have to meet deadlines whether something is finished or not. IDK why, delaying chapters and possibly pulling an operation health chapter seems incredibly beneficial.

  • It feels incredibly flat with no gameplay depth or smoothness at all.

Old Autohaven was smooth, you could tell where tiles were and move between them easily.

Now it's just a bunch of random stuff scattered everywhere with trash breakable wall placements.

  • Three:

Some survivor animations are blocky, mainly claudettes when walking.

Deathslinger bug where if you are at a window and you go too close while reeling, it prevents you from reeling for the rest of the chains duration.

(Not sure if a bug) MASSIVE hitbox inconsistencies with twins, sometimes victor will literally hit me and I wont get damaged, other times he'll be 2 light years away from me and still hit.

  • Oh my god the ban wasn't perma. Holy #########.

    Welcome back.

  • Deathslinger:

    Gun.

    Can boot survivors off screen.

    Salt factory.

  • Inb4 the Demo Defenders get here saying how demo is the most perfect designed killer with no flaws.

  • Worst chapter release I would say. I really dislike the new reworks as they pretty much killed the smooth gameplay that Autohaven had, and now a bunch of ormond pallets are way too unsafe.

Killer release though, Legion is still the highest as he was literally fundamentally broken.

  • Hahahaha yea I just played them, literally move at 115% in frenzy and have default lunge.

How do you bug something you don't even touch.

    • Hawkins is one of the most survivor sided maps in the game.
    • Demo, Huntress and billy aren't that fun to verse.
    • The new reworked maps feel horrible to play on.
  • @Spirez said:

Wow in 80% of games at red ranks there is DS I hope the devs are looking into this too. While they’re at it how about also Dead hard, borrowed time, iron will, and unbreakable.

    See how ridiculous that sounds.

Thats what you sound like making this post.

Also keep in mind two of those killer perks can be erased from the match at the start of it. After that tinkerer becomes more of a “look what gen you’re about to lose”.

Is DS an issue? For most people yes.

Is Ruin Undying also an issue? For most people yes.

I personally think both of these perks are problematic.

You can make complaints to one side without showing another balance issue with another side. We all know that DS is BS.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

What bugs are you talking about? Can somebody give me a list of bugs that hillbilly is experiencing cause I played him and he feels fine to me

Chainsaw animations when missing, hitting, etc.

Extreme camera bopping due to his limp, feels realistic but also feels horrible. Makes him feel slow when moving in certain directions and just makes him clunky overall. Same goes for carrying a survivor.

His external animations (what survivors see) when revving are sped up when moving, slowed down when staying still (go into a KYF to easily see this one).

Mallet lower on screen than normal (I don't mind this one tbh)

Pretty sure they messed something up with curving. Gonna need an actual Billy main to confirm that though.

  • You can't build in an anti tunnel power into EVERY survivor until 12 hooking becomes viable.

This would just make the game incredibly hard against SWF groups and people who split gens on big maps.

Maybe if the game was actually balanced along side this then that'd be ok.

  • No she really doesn't.

I love how the complaints about spirit went from "She's annoying" to "She's too powerful and should be nerfed".

  • You had me until "Who has to rely on opponent mistakes to do well".

You can play super safe and mindgame correctly against a deathslinger, nurse and possibly spirit and still have them stalled for at least a solid 40 - 60 seconds. This is assuming good positioning.

I wouldn't really say also that survivors are in full control in other situations unless you have an absurd amount of safe tiles like on ormond. Some tiles even when pre dropped can be mindgamed and sometimes zoned into the break which is what a lot of good Bubba/Billy players do to get an easy down. EDIT: Wanted to add that survivors still have a huge advantage, killers however aren't helpless though. A lot of factors go into this so I didn't even consider god buildings etc.

I see your points though, I just wanted to point out that survivors are not helpless against these killers, people are just bad.

  • @sudintlink said:

Just don't slug so they can't use flipflop

And that's when a teammate comes by and pallet saves. But if you slug trying to chase the survivor away he gets PS + FF and a free escape.

It's a lose lose against a good team.

  • While I do agree it is a bit too strong, it requires at least an incredibly devoted 2 to 4 man SWF to make it OP.

This would include intentionally going down under pallets, having someone nearby, the person nearby being able to stall the killer for the person on the ground or get the pallet save if he picks up the person.

They also need to bring power struggle, flip flop and Unbreakable.

So while it wont be OP in a majority of games, the times where it is used it will be an absolute nightmare of uncounterable BS.

Also, nowhere near as strong as DS, that's on a whole new level.

  • Felix is best because he's ho- erm I mean he has good perks and has good cosmetics. Yea, that's why he's the best.

  • The sole reason I don't play wraith is because all I can hear is him snarling on the menu and it annoys me so much.

    BHVR pls.
