That is not how this community uses the term m1.
You are using it literally while the community says m1 killer in a figurative use.
Well same goes to you, I know what thread this post was based from and majority of the “community” there seemed to agree with this ideology of a M1 killer
-
@Blueberry said:
M1 is meaning they don't need to use their power in the process of downing.
IE those are not m1 because they are not running you down at slower than normal killer speed to hit you unless you're playing really badly. They are required to use their ability to get a hit.
M1 killers are those such as Clown, Trapper, Wraith, Legion etc.
Their powers can aide them in hits but it is not required to down. They are all full move speed and can just run you down for a hit.
This is to say that typically movespeed is dictating what is and isn't an m1 killer in the long run.
that is incorrect, a M1 killer is a killer who can only down someone with a M1 attack, a nurse does not down you with her blink, she has to down you with the M1 after it, a Spirit can not down you with her phase, she has to down you with the M1 after it, A hag can not down you with her teleport... you get the idea. A M1 killer is a killer who can only down with a basic attack. Bubba, billy, huntress are not M1 killers
you contradict yourself as well as technically hag, spirit and nurse can all get a hit (although difficult and time consuming) without their power, meaning their powers simply aide them like you said the powers of trapper, clown, legion aid them.

So give him instasaw again

The weakest killers in the game are the M1 killers. Freddy is the only exception to this.
Weakest killers according to you, Nurse, Hag, Spirit.

I only encountered one, during the PTB a claud who happen to disappear instantly around every corner, i had im all ears and eventually caught her when she turn a corner and dove into the ground. Smh then tried to play it off in end game chat as “You fell for my jukes”

as a console player I would like this option as well as some PC players can act the same :)

This is basically the devs intention with the basic attack requirement on a few perks. They want the perks to be good only on weaker killers.
Honestly keep the basic attack and just lower/remove the cooldown. It's such an artificial ceiling on how well you can play.
Well i mean some of the top killers are m1 so... nurse, spirit, freddy, can all proc surge so why can’t leatherface with his chainsaw?
-
No
-
Rewards killer for playing poorly.. yet you need to hit someone to even use the perk.. just saying.
-
Hit the skill check.

Blight is a tough one can easily be one of the most frustrating and fun killers at once. He has a decently tough learning curve but my best advice is this. In order to get good consistent hits with his power at loops and such you need a general understanding of how the loop is laid out and a common survivor mindset, imagine you being the survivor during a chase and constantly think to yourself what would you do in the survivors position? Would you go for the vault or pallet, would you turn the corner and leave the loop or keep running it. In short Blight requires good reads and solid predictions with a short window to act upon them. Good advice for starting out, spam his power get comfortable with it and keep going for hits and if you feel like a rush might not get you in good position to get a hit, bounce off something and realign.
You are gonna have some very frustrating moments with blight, there will be hits that miss and you will look like you were just a millimeter short. There will be objects you would think you can bounce off of but you will slide on instead.
I love blight but same time he causes me alot of frustration but when I do well and don’t slide off everything he is hella fun
console blight btw

The perk is not fine. Flashlights and keys are not toxic. Flashlights give the survivors a chance to save their team mates when no pallet is nearby. In all the times I have tried to do it I have pulled it off I think maybe 3 times. Keys are also not toxic. They give survivors a backup plan for when either killers are playing toxic or when you're the last one and a door play is out of the question. Franklins is a means to further limit the survivors ability to escape against what often is not so good odds. Your solution of "learn to play without items" does not address the problem here and is a very one sided perspective. Items are meant to be played when you want because you had to play to earn them. Why should I restrict myself on that option? It is not one of the most balanced perks in the game. A perk that literally deletes your items that you spent blood points on (which by the way are not always easy to obtain playing survivor) is not in anyway balanced or fair.
”Give survivors a backup plan when the killer is playing toxic..” Any argument you have is now just disregarded, survivors don’t use keys to have a back up plan because the killer is toxic, they bring keys so they have a back up plan if they are gonna lose, just because a killer is winning the game doesn’t make them toxic. The key is stupid strong and is a big reason why Franklins got buffed. Franklins is perfectly fine where it is and is a well balanced perk for dealing with items. Sorry you can’t use your free escape keys and get your flashlight saves countered.

I'm talking about above average survivors where you need gen defense. Not average ones where you can go perkless blindfolded and still win. I tries the all chase perks once and no matter how fast the chases were, those gens were flying.
must of played at least 20 games so far just chase perks, almost 2k hours red rank killer, i really don’t know what else I could say it comes down to your opinion vs mine, Just leave at you just enjoy and have more success with a different playstyle then mine :)
EDIT the survivors i went against most of the time where your run of the mill, swf full squad, DS unbreakable and dead hard etc, not always was just boosted baby survivors but that makes this discussion come down to your word vs mine

Running all chase perks against survivors who are good in chase and know how to do gens is gg. I go for 12 hooks not slug and try to 1 hook everyone
Running all chase perks didnt require me to slug, it allowed me to snowball build my pressure, quickly getting cages and hooks I had situations where two people caged consistently and or hooked, making survivors have to stop doing gens to get them. What makes this work all falls down to good decisions making and having good killer game sense and skill. It really isn’t as bad as some make it seem, honestly i used to complain about gen speeds but recently its not that bad.
However gen speeds still are very rough for the bottom killers such as clown, and trapper

Not to mention chase perks like Spirit Fury/Enduring make no sense on Pyramid Head. His power is anti-loop so why waste perk slots on something that's not the killer's weakness to begin with? What Pyramid Head needs (against GOOD survivors that is) is TIME.
Makes him even more difficult to get away from, you can boost your weaknesses or enhance your strength, I didn’t play many games with spirt fury enduring PH but the ones i played, it allowed me to snowball very quickly

I can agree to this. Brutal is absolutely a complete waste of time, Enduring can be useful but because you rarely break pallets Spirit Fury is also useless on him. I'm All Ears is the only chase perk you really want on him and I'd class it more as tracking.
Pyramid Head has, quite possibly, the strongest pure-chase power in the game (I'm not including Spencer's Last Breath or Yamaoka's Haunting because they can use those for mobility too). And he has this on a 115% (4.6m/s) killer. If you're good as PH, you want slowdown perks and tracking perks because your chases do not last long. To quote stats from @Yamaoka when he measured 4 of my games, the average chase duration was 24.375 (and those weren't good matches, mind you, because I woke up literally 20 minutes before recording them and I wasn't playing amazingly). Here's the thread where he describes them, by the way.
So, yeah, I'd suggest against running those perks on him. If it works for you, then great! Absolutely go for it and I'm glad it's working for you (ik my friend runs Bamboozle/STBFL/BBQ/Brutal and as much as it hurts me inside he does quite well), but you could be doing better with some gen slowdown. Honestly even just Corrupt stuck in there would help out a lot, particularly in place of Brutal or Spirit Fury.
i wasn’t listing my build, i was just listing perks that i run, not all that of those at once, my last build was Enduring, im all ears, stbfl anr bbq
-
Been playing PH with no gen perks and pure chase perks, talking enduring, STBFL, brutal, spirit fury, im all ears, etc, I have found if you are good with POTD and end chases as quick as you can get them hooked/caged and get right back on someone else, you can make a snowball situation where you just wipe the whole team fast, however you are on a much smaller time limit due to gens flying so it makes games feel a lot more tense, basically if i slapped on maybe sloppy or corrupt id be fine so TLDR Pyramid is fine without undying ruin, i never really cared running it on him

The definition of a free escape is not what you said @ShyN3ko because as much as you don't want to believe it that's actually incredibly rare. Most people play the game to... play the game.
@fluffybunny I could say the same to you. Killers aren't entitled to that last kill. At least the method I suggested makes it more fair. Right now, it's not and trying to say otherwise is a lie. The solo survivor is at a huge disadvantage.
Oh im sorry, is the killer suppose to be fair to survivors? Should the last survivor alive on their team that got destroyed be given a fair chance to escape? No. The killer was given the option to close hatch to avoid the dreaded hatch stand off and to be able to start the end game collapse, yes it can be difficult to escape but it is possible. If the hatch wasn’t closable all the survivor had to do was find the hatch and if they see the killer on it, just stay hidden till the killer leaves to check a door, way too stupid. The way it is now is perfect.

Survivor is death hook and has no where to else to go

Let’s stay on the topic and not attack the commenter. That’s just a lazy and poor substitute for an actual argument or counter point. Its also hinges on trolling.
Healthy is an understatement. It’s in most killers toolkits. Interesting how you sidestepped my point about the high number of killers that use that perk. I cannot pin down a stand out survivor perk that I see we’ll say 75% using like bbq. Love to see the game data on that perk and the percentage of matches it shows up. Bet EYE popping...
why is the perk that helps killers get more bloodpoints the most used..? Huh i wonder why, The perk is fine and those others who “sidestep” your question, you kinda sidestep their reasoning why bbq was fine, the perk is fine and requires skill, you have to get a hook, is that not having to use skill? You say get a hook see someone go to them get a hook and repeat but its more like, get a hook (might not see anyone if they go into a locker) go to them, they begin looping you, you waste 45 seconds chasing them and get the down, go to hook them and by then 2 gens are about to pop.
-
You gonna complain when undying and Devour hope becomes meta? Probably
-
Dude no, that is like the best part about clown! Nothing strikes true horror and terror upon a survivor, nothing can cause a survivor deepest and darkest dread and fear then hearing a morbidly obese clown grunting as he struggles through a window.

I'm guessing the survivors were boosted. Like Oni, you can simply dead angle his rushes and you'll never get hit. Console Blight usually means your ability is just gonna be for movement, not damage. I guess you just got lucky.
Nope, this is my usual with blight, he isn’t garbage on console, he is just harder to play and requires more skill :)

I read rhe part where it says moris are not useless now ans stopped reading.
You run a mori.
Hook a survivor twice. Next hook they dead anyway. What's the point in actually bringing the mori in the game ans wating thay offering slot?
I've 4 moris on my plague. Whata .ore likely?
Bring in a mori which will kill a survivor after 2 hooks...
Or shall i bring in ardent shrikw wreath? 100% bp in sacrifice category?
Bringing a mori into a game is 100% a useless offfering.
I've 4 mori on the plague that beat off chances i'll never use.
Well, then you are ignorant for not reading.. very closed minded and simple minded and not gonna waste my time responding to someone like you unless you actually bring up actual counter arguments, smh pathetic

Adrenaline functions way differently than DS though. It procs only by the primary objective being completed, and the exhaustion it applies doesn’t stop it from working on an already exhausted survivor. That’s just one difference among a few.
If DS caused exhaustion, you’re denying a survivor - who could be getting tunneled already - another chance to get away from the killer. A five second stun already does nothing, in terms of distance, for some killers anyways (... Spirit, etc.).
Ah yes.. how dare I deny them from using a second second chance perk after using their first second chance perk...
-
Moris are not useless now, they are still decent, I main killer so not just a survivor main saying anything. You are still able to potentially dodge a DS/ pallet stun/ unbreakable/ flashlight save/ any kind of method for them to get back up when downed on their death hook. The buff for mori does sound nice if killing procced hook perks.
-
Devour hopes requires you to have 5 unhooks while being away from the hook, so sometimes you might need more then 5 hooks, maybe 6 hooks, which means that you already gotten quite a few hooks in the game and probably even have someone dead hook. Stop trying to compare DH to a mori, mori was useable after just one hook and now only two, DH is only useable after getting 5 unhooks. The perk is fine and I believe you have no one to blame but you and your team for not being able to find and cleanse the totem.
-
@GoshJosh said:
No, because Decisive Strike does not function like the exhaustion perks - Adrenaline excluded. They can all be used multiple times throughout a trial to gain distance... Decisive Strike is instead an "anti-momentum", one time use perk, along with other conditions (must be within 40-60 seconds of being unhooked and being picked up, and hitting a skill check).
So is Adrenaline tho? And im pretty sure the OP is saying make DS like Adrenaline in that regard, a one time use exhaustion perk that can still be used while exhausted.

Yes even on console,

I agree with most of it, but it still hurts to see people underestimate Demo so much because they don't know just how good his shred is at loops. I don't agree with Deathslinger's placement either.
This would be my tier list, the boxes just mean all killers that I've grouped up in that box are as strong as each other and I can't be bothered ranking them individually because there are too many variables to consider.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/CA583OATS82Q/my-image-283-29-01.png
Haven't updated it for the new patch but I'd put the Twins just below Billy.
I don’t underestimate Demo at all, his shred is very good at loops and can be very strong if given the option, however his mobility can be countered by survivors cleansing his portals, his shred Doesn’t work at all loops or is difficult to get a option to use, and then of course his shred is straight up only useable at most loops with rat liver add on. Deathslinger I have where he is because he has a great chase power but he gets around the map very very slow, causing gens to fly and pop in his face.

Any chance you're a Huntress player? Pretty unusual to see her in top 3.
Ignore individual tiers, I didn’t rank them in the tiers, this isn’t a perfect ranking. For example huntress simply shares same tier as Oni, I didn’t rank oni or huntress better then the other

Ghostface C tier?
Well C tier for me represents killers who don’t really have a good chase power and or their power can be controlled by the survivors, a killer who can win and do well with in certain situations but can more then likely lose when going against a competitive team of survivors. Ghostface can be very strong especially with the hit and run strat but he does get hurt alot from spine chill which is a fairly popular perk, I would say he is stronger then Michael and maybe one of the strongest in C tier, honestly in C tier i believe Demo to be the strongest since his portals do provide really good map pressure and shred is good in chase, but he is add on dependent with his shred and his portals can be closed by survivors

Well that depends on what killer you are playing, and I’m not gonna pretend i know the best build for every killer, but if it works for you then thats the best build for you!
EDIT
I just have had games where ruin wasn’t helping and they still power through gens and I really needed the instant regression of pgtw but couldn’t apply it due to ruin still being up, this is when i am playing killers such as GF, Trapper, clown, the low mobility killers

It's true but consider that if you get unlucky and they break undying and ruin at the start it's gonna be way harder to win if you don't have any other slowdown, if you have pop and they break ruin at the start you can still do good because you have pop
Or don’t bring ruin and just bring pop and free up a perk slot? Pop and ruin is in theory good but in practice you are basically dedicating a perk slot for a back up, meaning during the whole game one perk is gonna be useless, why not instead slap on something that would be useful? Like pop and bbq or ruin and undying, ruin and surv, pop and ruin is not very good imo

This is probably the best reason not to do a crossover. The two games have very different target demographics. Fortnite is rated 12+, while DBD is rated 18+. It would be inappropriate, irresponsible and borderline illegal for the DBD developers to be encouraging children and teenagers to play their game through a crossover with a game like Fortnite.
I mean, isnt halo rated M? I’m all against fortnite crossover but technically they already have a halo crossover with fortnite which halo is a rated M game

Hey a buff to victor I actually want to talk about
Holding the locker shut for 10 seconds is a dumb call. I would actually like if they re-used trappers logic.
Victor holds the locker shut and the survivor has to "struggle" to break free.
- The default Escape chance is 25 % per attempt and the action takes 1.5 seconds to complete.
You might break free on your first attempt, you might break free on your third attempt, you might break free on your 15th attempt
This game, does not need more rng, that rng is part of the reason what makes trapper so frustrating to play as and against. RnG should not be a factor in dbd, or at least a game deciding factor

I meant the execution of how they went about releasing it. And I think it’s lazy in its simplicity.
I mean honestly it didn’t have to be anything more then simple, Moris needed to be nerf, a nerf was made. Done. A simple number changed was all it needed, anyone expecting anything creative or hugely different is at their own fault. The fix was simple therefore it really didn’t deserve that much spotlight other than being included in a hotfix
