Difference is that Oni is made infinitely stronger when he slugs, but it isn't necessary. To use him to his max potential, then yes, you have to, but to just play him, you don't HAVE to slug. The Twins is essentially "camp and slug all the time or lose", which is horrible game design. I'm not opposed to them being really good at camping. I honestly couldn't care less. I just want them to be more than "camp and slug 24/7"
I think the same can be said about the twins. You don’t have to go crazy with slugging with them to do well, yes a bit more slugging then oni, but i never had to go to crazy levels of overboard.

Considering that sluggling is generally seen as an unfun thing, I can't imagine the devs intended to make an entire Killer who only really excels at that.
Its like people forget oni exists..
-
“If you exclude their strengths they are weak”
sorry but 😅 that’s basically what was said.
Thats like asking the same question with oni, without considering his slug potential

Been waiting 3 years for these supposed key changes. No updates about how or when. There was no indication they where going to nerf Moris. It was sloppy joe they did it, and if it’s supposedly the animations, why did new generetor animations get one before key animations?
I think you got sloppy confused with simple. The mori nerf was simple.

they said they were doing both, and mods confirmed they were doing both just keys second because it takes more time, yes I can have patience but too many transgressions in a short time is too much
I understand this recent update was a flop and got alot of people up at arms at BHVR but at the end of the day as long as the game is still fun to me, which is why i bought it to have fun. Well they can do what they want, its their game anyway. I am curious how they will nerf kets though

What positives are there?
No matter what, if a survivor gets rescued before struggle phase you still have to deal with the defenses one way or another for an extra hooking.
I don't give a damn what you guess. Keep the ad hominem ######### to yourself.
Okay, you act like the chances to get ds from someones second hook is so low.. when in reality its not, if you play smart and respect DS (which not getting into a discussion about the BS around DS) say you hook someone, they get unhook nearby you and you hit them down again (without BT) now just do this amazing trick called, slugging. Proceed to other survivors and keep pressuring rolling, they eventually get brought back up and now their DS timer ran out and they will never get a opportunity to use it again.
you are in control if you get DS or not, the best option to deal with someone who most likely has ds is to slug if they recently got unhook, unless you are already have a huge lead in the game.
Moris are still strong, they allow you to deny flashlight saves at death hook, deny pallet saves, deny Ds, deny any perk to help them not get to a hook, Then also depending on whos mori, it could be faster then carrying to hook and more so you also deny anyone who may attempt to sabo your hooks.
I am done here, any further notifications from this thread gonna be ignored good day :)

It was a good nerf but not doing both at the same time bad
They never said they were doing both, doesn’t mean keys wont be nerf, moris were broken, keys are broken. They both need to be nerf Asap, moris just came first, keys will be next have patience.

Again, it's going to be rare a survivor has DS going into struggle phase. Bringing that up is bad comedy. The odds of getting a chance to bypass DS with a mori is low.
Unless the survivors go into struggle on their first hook, you still have to go through 2 normal hooks worth of defenses.
Arguments that mori are still useful are pretty weak. I'll admit that the scenarios can happen, but to claim that they still keep mori strong is bs.
Then you are in denial, and just look at all the negatives. Im guessing you are a killer that just eats everyones DS.

cool kill animation fine
nerfing one sides item that skips portions of gameplay but not the other bad
nerfing the one to the point where the only balance would end up being if the key can only open hatch and chests faster / with rarer items
The key nerf will take more time then mori, mori was easy to nerf and now as a killer main i feel like i can run them without feeling like i am being given an easy win.

What I'm saying is that it's rare for a survivor to get into struggle phase on their first hook.
If they don't, they still have their entire arsenal of saves you cannot bypass with a mori.
I.e. if a survivor is rescued before they struggle, and have the DS perk, they can still use it, and mori cannot bypass it.
Using a mori to bypass things is absurdly situational.
Well you can still bypass it after their second hook, it is bery similar to PH final judgement, yes they can still use it after their first hook, but if they don’t get to after their first hook they never will due to mori
-
@Rebel_Raven said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1808490#Comment_1808490
Unless I missed something, that's only true if a survivor went to struggle stage on the first hook.
I’m not sure what you are saying.. with the new mori change, now you can murder after second hook, or if they hit struggle during first hook, so if they have DS on their death hook, it doesn’t matter because you brought a mori, they are still strong
-
Moris are fine and still have use, you can deny a DS flashlight save etc, and get a cool kill animation. They are fine.

They still have characteristics. Harry Potter isn't gay, Doom Slayer isn't a woman, and Tyrion Lannister isn't a giant. We're not writing fan fiction here.
And at the ene of the day, none of them are real. I never heard of Tyrion. Honestly I just don’t care its true, I play video games for fun not to be represented, have others represented. I know some people are more sensitive to this subject, but really its up to them to deal with it.

Ahh yes "pretend the people are LGBT" instead of just assuming everyone is straight, like all the straight people do.
this is exactly why representation is important, LGBT+ aren't "pretend" they're real.
Sorry but none of the characters in the game are real, they are pretend, do pretend they are the sexuality you want if it makes ya feel better.. just a video game at the end of the day.

I really think anyone placing twins as the worst really must not have played more then a game, I been playing her since she came out and consistently getting 3 and 4ks, I am red rank i go against red ranks, I have been able to do much better with her then killers such as clown or trapper. She is not weak; she is a huge buggy mess yes and once she gets polished and done (something that should of been done during ptb) she seems like she will be in a good spot.

It does have Counters.
DS+Unbreakable has counters, but every time someone gives you a counter you move the goal post and cover your eyes and ears and ignore every possible advice people actually give.
- Go for someone else.
- Go for the unhooker.
- PATROL GENS.
- DON'T OPEN THE LOCKER!
SEE?! I just negated DS+Unbreakable.
Ruin+Undying doesn't compare to DS+Unbreakable.
Now, cover your eyes and ears and give me an excuse.
- This is pretty much the same as 2 boils down to what if you can’t find anyone else? what if the unhooker hid right away? What if unhooker can’t be found and all that is in front of you is a injuried easy target survivor?
- Patrolling gens doesn’t counter DS, what if the DS survivor is doing a gen in your face? Well have fun on that gen I’m gonna ignore my own objective and go the other direction.
- dont open locker? Oh so basically let them go and then give up any pressure you had and hope you find the other survivors.
All of this is assuming the survivor has DS unbreakable and the killer has no other knowledge of other survivors whereabouts. Your ego is off the charts

@Gay Myers (Luzi) said:
The intention of it being on the live build is to get more data than on the PTB.
- Only a small friction of people play the PTB which would result in a small pool of data being collected.
- Matchmaking has also been disabled on the PTB.
- A PTB is usually done to test multiple things, so this could have potentially caused other things to not be as tested as much.
The data being collected specifically is intended for Bloodlust and that's the main intention - having it on a PTB with other factors would cause that it's not a live enviornment test, which is a important part of testing. Hence why things like MMR and Hit Validation were enabled on the live build and not PTB.
Pretty much exactly what this mod said. Just gotta use your brain and think from the devs side for a bit.
@JackTheMimic said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1763722#Comment_1763722
Lemme get this straight. You are saying they shouldn't TEST things with a TEST server? I get that Bloodlust change doesn't matter to you like how if someone doesn't care about a new feature or killer won't play the new PTB. But that doesn't mean you test on a live game server. You test on the TEST server that's what it's there to do.
Because all you are doing right now is trying to nitpick at technicalitys
-
@Hoodied said:
Or people are just gonna play the high mobility killers more?
Really all this test is gonna show is that around 50% of the killer roster needs Bloodlust to assist in the chase to give them a chance (i.e Trapper, Pig, Oni, Legion, Plague, Demogorgon, in a manner Michael, Ghostface, etc) while the other 50% can carry themselves (I.E Nurse, Billy, Blight, etc)
Oni doesn’t need bloodlust, yes it helps but once he gets his power with or without bloodlust he can turn a game quick.
-
I don’t know about you man but I really wouldn’t want to play a ptb just to test out a bloodlust change.. also not really many people play the PtB. IMO this makes the most sense to grab the most accurate data. Straight from the source but some people rather cry about 2 days without bloodlust.

I don't see anything useful or insightful in this comment other than some cringy attempt to play internet tough guy. Like apathetic is the lamest way you could be and this worhtless mindset isn't just towards harassment it's toward other crappy elements in this game as well like the monetization it's the reason stuff never improves and the Devs get lazy.
And they won't. I made the mistake of insulting some dude who made the same comment you did and was threatened with a ban. A lot of people that deserved to be here are banned. They can't even be trusted with a glass of water. Don't worry you're safe. 🙄
I’m not protecting any desire to bully I personally don’t bully others online, or am I trying to be a tough guy. Its a cruel world and it just kinda pathetic when someone cries over something that really shouldn’t affect them. I'm glad to hear you are the chosen one, but I just witnessed my girlfriend losing a survivor she downed because he wiggled off while she was frozen. Imagine playing like that! Not to mention that every match I play at least 1 console survivor dies on 2nd hook and the 5 seconds chases with survivors acting weirdly.
Well thats just my input, meanwhile my other friends I party up with and play all share similar feeling, along with most other console players i play against, I really just dislike when someone tries to act like they represent all of us :)
-
Hi console player here, no i am having no issues, yes I have good internet. No I don’t have Fps issues, actually my FPS seems to have improved since last patch so hats off to the devs. Goodbye

Not really a fair comparison tbh.. you can’t compare surge to undying because they are for different uses, surge is gen slowdown where as undying just preserves totems. Ruin is where the slowdown comes from when you run undying you just do it to preserve ruin, so why not run surge as well, ruin surge undying then some tracking perk or chase perk.
-
@ReverseVelocity said:
Honestly, Forced Penance is actually a decent perk. Protection hits are quite common if someone is hook-bombing with Borrowed Time (which happens like every match at least twice). I've had scenarios where I've applied Forced Penance to both the person unhooked and the guy who unhooked them. 80 seconds is actually quite a long time to be broken for.
It's still quite a niche perk compared to Sloppy Butcher, but I think it's in a good spot.
You basically just said its quite common... as long as these conditions are met. Thats not common that’s very situational and once people know you have it, it will work less

Not really, no.
I really hate it when people on the forums try to give excuses for lazier changes by saying something is too complicated for BHVR to do. It’s not really complicated at all.
And making the Undying effect base in Hexes would he an odd choice considering that Hexes are already pretty powerful. Totem spawns should be updated instead. The point of Hexes is risk-reward so making Hexes last so long this way by default would defeat the purpose of their existence.
Yea really, that is just over complicating something that should remain simple, what happens if they are running tier 1 ruin? So once it gets cleanse twice its useless? And once its cleanse three times it actually slowly repairs the generators?? Hex undying and ruin are fine. Do. Bones.

These addons are only obtainable from a yearly event... how long would a supply of them last if a player used them in every match?
Some players will stockpile them, and saved them even more with black wards, really its annoying how everyone is complaining so much about this. I see no issues with how they are doing this little event. i am happy to see a opportunity for more bp and to see both new add ons in play. I agree with the fact that the killer add on might deserve to be limited to event only because it could be game breaking on certain killers for all we know. There is a bit more to think about then just crying like a child. Like ALL i am seeing right now is players crying why does Johnny get a lolipop and I don’t?? Killer main btw. - For a good reason
- The two builds I described negate many of the downsides of hex perks. Indoor maps generally have well-hidden totems, and hag can defend her totems relatively well.
- That depends where you find them. At many generators, there will be no place they can get to in time. This is especially the case on Midwhich, which I think might be the best Blood Favor map.
- It doesn't need to.
Okay? But will you play on a indoor map everytime? You can’t just say its good because it shines in a certain scenario.. all you proved was that it is a situational perk, it definitely does not need to be a hex and cooldown perk

No, answer my damn question.
If it's not meant to take a hit, WHY DOES IT NULLIFY AN ATTACK?
Answer me and stop dodging the question.
Is it meant to nullify an attack? Yes or no?
I answered your question, it was made to dodge an attack but it isn’t consistent, so BIG BRAIN, everyone who uses it uses dead hard for distance, you don’t use it to dodge like its concept you use it mainly to make it to a pallet or window, you may use it to dodge once but then the killer knows you have it.
TLDR for your small brain, Dead hard is best used for distance, not for dodging hits.

Funny I see people rolling there eye going oh ya complain about the small pp build and justify that they don't run it. Fully well knowing the build is busted. But somehow the hypocrisy of a perk combo locking you out of meaningful decisions only occurs for survivors. Incoming "whataboutism" garbage to try and claim this topic should wholly be explored by itself failing to see that meta perks live an ecosystem defined by how well they circumvent the tools of there opponent's. It's a sweaty killer build living in an ecosystem where a sweaty survivor build exists I want both gone as far as I'm concerned or at least capped so they don't horrendously mess with the flow of the game. But I guess I'm a killer/survivor main who has his own agenda.
Since no ones offering advice here some tips for messing with these perks. Soulguard is infinite unbreakable vs the endless hex totem onslaught very valuable vs most high skilled killers since slugging is almost mandatory. Against ruin drag chases to distant areas away from survivor gen repairs. Don't listen to people about detectives hunch or small game those perks are trash. Focus on generic survival options exhaustion perk of your choice, soulguard, iron will and ds. Feel free to experiment but if you want to beat meta you need to play meta.
Detectives hunch is far from trash and can be quiet fun to us in builds, is also great for totem hunts. I agree with everything you said, but detect is not trash perk
