I made my reasoning earlier in this topic. Your anecdotal evidence is what it is i.e. anecdotal.
If you feel like he is bad, well thats you, I for one feel like I can play him at nurse or spirit level, so there will be some who can’t do good with him, you and others. And some who can, me and the OP and a handful of streamers
Also ur reasoning was just telling people to play a game against red rank survivors..

That's a non-argument. We can single out a match and try to use it as 'proof' and it would mean nothing. A single match is not a meaningful sample size.
Well yours is not either? All it was, is just saying play a game against high ranks and you’ll see why he isnt A tier, I’ve done that.. so kinda is a counter argument because I don’t see why he isnt A+ tier
Also who said single match? I consistently get 4ks with blight against all kinds of players, including high rank pc squads

Firstly - hackers *are not common* on PC. They exist, but in over 4k hours in DBD, I've seen maybe...5?
Secondly, lag switching isn't PC exclusive. Plus, the game is on dedicated servers. A lag switch only serves to hinder the person doing it.
They are pretty common tbh I seem to run into them twice a week

When you'll go against good survivors they'll change your mind pretty quickly, don't worry.
I’m a console blight, gone against 4 man swf pc squads and 4k how I know they are PC? well they had .. ahem.. unique names Playstation and xbox could never have, he is strong when played right
-
First off, fake pallets are weaker then his snares and are manageable if you pay at least SOME attention. Also no do not give him a slow down to using his snares, why do you think they buffed clown to not slowdown throwing bottles? Because the slowdown made his power horrible in chase, which is why Freddy isnt slowing down. Is Freddy annoying to go against sure! But is he OP? No not really at all. Survivors just seem to want to knock hum back to being one of the worst killers when instead we should buff all the other killers to his level

Idk why people keep saying his perks are garbage. Visionary is good for new players, and a good perk to prevent yourself from being three gen'd. Desperate measures is an amazing anti slug build, that has amazing synergy with other perks like borrowed time, botany and resilience. Built to last is the best item perk in the game, and is always fun to play around with. I love these perks.
The argument is why is a perk ment for new players on a paid DLC character? And if you want to avoid three gen you already have a free perk called deja vu, which does what visionary does but kinda better, but both perks are useless for medium to expert players who know how gen spawns work
EDIT I do like his other two perks however they do have some neat synergies
-
Thing is all exhaustion perks have a pattern, they do a effect then go on cooldown, BL was a outliner and had the speed boost plus a passive, combining it all in one made gameplay sense and honestly it still is a useful perk on some maps, really all the exhaustion perks are.

1 stream makes him enough for rent, food, gas, and a ton of other stuff, the reason why he's also forced to stream because Twitch threatens to end your partnership if you don't stream a certain amount in a month.
Watch good, consistent streamers like OhTofu, Monto, Puppers, ones that give a ######### about their community and fanbase.
Its harsh but I can agree, people dismiss posts like this when its valid criticism, Noob3 just doesn’t put the effort anymore and clearly isn’t able to maintain his content on dbd, watch Tru, Otz Tofu or really anyone else

Really? Tell me more please. He is not viable against survivors who can take a side step, so I guess that's the reason for your success. His power is useless in almost every sort of tight loop, it's just okay for travelling the map and maybe catch a survivor off-guard. But otherwise I can't see any reason why I should prefer this guy over Oni or Billy. Oni can even do a 90 degree Flick out of demon dash and it's a one shot. So sorry for Blight boy, but he is just utter garbage.
His power has a high learning curve but offers creative and unique ways to look at looping and playing the game, you don’t play him like a normal killer and well it kinda clicked with me and I never have too big of an issue getting my power juked because if it looks like I’ll get juked i just bounce off another wall realign myself and go again, it is really fun

Also, regarding this advice:
"if you can watch all these streamers, youtubers, and fellow players do well and still say he is horrible well I don’t know what to tell you"
You know who I do watch play Blight?
Hanging the Blight Main and TechyTheClown, the current 2 best Blight players in the world, according to the DBD leaderboards. And you know what Techy thinks? Everything about Blight is fantastic except for that unholy Rush lunge turning.
Yes thats what everyone thinks but ya know.. that doesn’t make him horrible.. just his one weakness, he still has stupid strong mobility and can STILL get hits with his power.

Yes, I have tried learning him and going against him, and I've learned that the counterplay to him is incredibly simple. What's the point of mastering him when the counterplay takes a thousandth of the time to nail? It's like mastering Legion. What's the point?
If they just fixed the lunge, it would actually be hard to counter a good Blight and he'd be worth mastering. But right now? Absolutely not.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1615652#Comment_1615652
First off, it's longer than a second. That's not even taking into account things like wonky collision forcing a bump or vice versa, making you Rush past them.
Second off, even if it were just a second, if the Survivor runs forward, one second of stun is 4 meters of distance. At 115 speed, it takes 6 and two thirds of a second for you to catch up to that, for almost 8 seconds of time the Survivor has to find a window or a pallet. If the Survivor knows their tiles, that's plenty of time.
You are making this way too specific just to make him sound worse then he actually is. He really isn’t that bad and is very strong, if you can watch all these streamers, youtubers, and fellow players do well and still say he is horrible well I don’t know what to tell you
-
@Demogordon_Ramsay said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1615478#Comment_1615478
And that's when you realize that Survivors can hardcore loop you in your power with insane advantages at most loops, and just run around an object to prevent you from hitting them with Rush once you break the pallet. Your skill is irrelevant when the counterplay to the Killer both in and out of their power it's so amazingly simple that trying to actually be a big brain about it will likely hurt you.
yes his turning speed on lunge is difficult but you can still catch survivor off guard, he has a high skill cap so? He still has mobility, and he can be mastered. Skill is very relevant with this killer. Have you tried playing him and actually tried learning him?
-
@Demogordon_Ramsay said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1615441#Comment_1615441
See what I said above.
Like I said, thats when your skill as a killer comes into play, mind game moon walk, hide your red light, once they drop pallet or you get a hit, use your power to get right back on them. Surprisingly enough, some people enjoy killers that don’t go down to just get hit or get hit guessing games.
-
@Demogordon_Ramsay said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1615356#Comment_1615356
Problem is, against a Survivor of equal skill a "normal chase" will last ages and you'll sacrifice a minimum of a gen just downing them. Again, who cares about mobility if you can't do anything with it?
And sure, getting hits with the ability is possible... if the Survivor doesn't know how to run to the side.
Then you do something with it, thats when the men are separated from the kids, thats when your skill as a killer comes into play! He is insanely strong when you learn how to play him and I can’t wait to see what tricks people come up with! Mobility is huge in this game being able to hook a survivor and be on another within 10 seconds is godly for pressure.
Also you can do something with mobility.. its called traversing the map.. since you seem to think his mobility is useless..
-
Finders keepers
-
Pretty sure the T3 Myers is obviously intentional.. I mean he is now holding the knife like he looks like from survivor perspective.. kinda obvious that they ment to do that..
-
As expected, small minority of players come on the forums and complain before a day even passes.

Definitely agree that it being tied to Terror Radius makes the cooldown redundant (needlessly weakening the usable perk) for most of the match but does make it a little less oppressive in a 3 gen if all 3 gens are basically in the terror radius...
Well it’s technically not any gen in the TR its only 32 meters, which yes would make it basically default TR except this means you can’t have it reach gens further and being undetectable wouldn’t cause it to not work..
Side note could you imagine if it was TR based? Gaint TR doc would be hella fun with it

If you sprint burst early you make the maximum possible amount of distance on the killer which is extremely helpful during a chase. There are exceptions, like if you're on a corner gen and there's really nowhere to run until the killer gets close, but for the most part just use it early and hold W.
Well I mean, depends how early, like I said a good killer when he see’s a walking survivor might just try to get them to waste it and then proceed to pressure someone else or a different gen. It can be done early just fine, experience survivors can constantly get away with some cheeky plays with SB definitely don’t recommend doing it as a new player tho
-
It can be the play, if you just sprint burst early the killer got your SB with no effort, if you make the killer walk closer you waste a lil bit more of their time
-
I am a completionest I love to max things out and since I mostly play killer I enjoy the fact I have almost every killer p3 max perks, it is simply a nice goal to achieve, just like old COD, you prestige even though it offered nothing it was simply because you could.

I think he will be solid
Doesn’t make sense that we didn’t get to try the current version in ptb tho :/ seems like the PTB was kinda pointless

Okay cool, thats a fair point, but it still is easier then killer, and yes I play both sides and can play both sides at their best.

For killer buffed tinkerer it is just so fun to use on almost every killer
Survivor is Mettle of Man its just so fun to try to get to work and that feeling being chased by killer knowing you can take 3 hits is awesome

This tier list is for competitive play, not public matches. Order within the individual tiers doesn't matter. Entirely depends on the map. You wouldn't ever be deciding between Hag or Oni, for example. The map would dictate that pick.
Nurse and Spirit are the only consistently viable killers in comp. They are the only killers capable of consistently downing elite survivors.
PH and Billy are viable options, but they have glaring issues. PH can struggle to get downs quickly if he guess wrong on his shockwave, and he lacks map pressure. He has extraordinary tunnel potential though, which is why he is in A tier. Billy has incredible map control but struggles to get downs in competitive play.
Hag is hugely map/add on dependent. Only play Hag in a comp setting if your Hag is elite. Teams are incredibly patient. They will tank hits for each other and reset constantly. Oni has some snowball potential, but he struggles to actually get his power before the game is all but over. Freddy's horrible early game puts him this low. He is not a threat in competitive play unless the map has a lot of less safe pallets and choke points. I considered putting him in C tier, but he can do some work on Badham/Dead Dawg Saloon/etc.
Killers in C tier are able to down survivors in the right hands, but there are better options. You would only take these killers if there is a point bonus for doing so.
Killers in D tier are generally unable to down survivors in a competitive setting. They break pallets for 5 gens and the game is over.
i wouldnt consider this game overly competitive, but alot of those D killers can do well or manage against a good swf, Id have to disagree with majority of this list but its all opinion so all good
-
He is simple to play but definitely can be beat, he can’t keep up with gen protection unless the survivors make some critical mistakes

You didnt counter my point either, my point was "This Ultra rare is not that great to be worth 7000 BPs, can we lower it a bit?" the comparison was to show ultrarares that are good and what a 7000 BPs item should be, I didnt even call for a buff as I already said "4 people can have syringes".
You just came, wrote some things about those addons being perfectly fine (which I didnt put in doubt as I didnt ask for any nerf) or being supposedly changed in a future and that has nothing to do about a sugestion of lowering the cost, I dont see why I have to counter some arguments that have NOTHING to do with what I posted or is being discussed in the thread. Cant we have a discussion about one subject in this forum without the mains coming to derail threads?.
Also, oranges are better than apples, now you have to counter my argument about fruits too even if it has nothing to do with DBD.
Okay you’re delusional as you did argue it as you compared it to other ultra rares, not wasting my time trying to reason with you further with this unreasonable mentality you have to not understand what I’m trying to say, I’m just gonna ignore this thread.

Here we go again with "its fine, it has counterplay etc" Im not criticizing those addons or their strength nor asking for nerfs nor claming they are broken or OP or anything at all. Im just comparing a 7k BP addon to others and asking for a price reduction since one of those is lackluster and not deserves to be priced at 7k (nor the rainbow map, or the BNP or several other pink Killer add-ons which should have a reduced price too).
Cant we have a discussion without people flocking with the "US VS THEM!!" mentality?.
You only counter one argument and there was no us vs them, im just saying you are comparison is poor because 2/3 of the add ons you compared it too are most likely being changed and then the third isn’t really that special but you know ignore the tuft of hair, what about the other two? They are being changed. The syringe is in a fine spot atm and can be used to extend a chase even longer! Which can really hurt the killer, survivor ultra rares should be strong but they are not ment to be compared to killers.
EDIT as for the price reduction, 1000bp? Really? Doesn’t make much a difference and just sounds pointless
There is no US vs Them, we all play the same game im not killer sided or survivor i play both sides and can see and understand the balance behind such things
-
@HectorBrando said:

You are right we have to take on account 4 people using syringes but also take on account this is a pink add-on and compare it to other pink stuff like Iridiscent head, Fragant tuft of hair and Redhead's pinky finger. Syringes do not have to be as strong as other pink stuff since you can have 4 people using them but they still cost 7k and they are not that good for such BP cost.
I think they should be lowered to 6000 BPs.
Except two of those add ons are expected to be changed in the future.. iri head is definitely getting changed when huntresses add on pass comes by and not too crazy to think that red head would be next, and Tuft of hair is fine and has counterplay not really op.

Yes I have played him, have watched streamers play him, I play him regularly and enjoy running his slient billy add ons along with steering and slight charge increase on pallet stun, no he is not dogshit, it is just you feeling like he is. Yes he is still viable. I have run the engravings on him combined with mothers helpers and really had no issues with curving at the slightest. Psssh, insta saw was the reason most hillbillies even played him, silent billy is not good against SWF and that's why you rarely see him anymore.
When most people play killer, they like to come out with the best. Tbh Billy is still good, but he's B-toer at best
Agreed Insta saw was what made him viable, and at higher rank play, players go for whats viable not whats fun, IMO he is still fun and has some fun add ons now, but definitely not as bad as people are crying about

And yet his popularity nosedived?
The engravings are still nerfed just from the existence of the overheat mechanic. Having the extended charge time makes them pointless.
He is slow, his movement is janky and there is just to much crap and pallets on the map to ever get a chainsaw in now.
His popularity nosedive because basekit billy wasn’t OP, his popularity went down because insta saw billy is gone, the overheat even with engravings doesn’t ruin him, curving is still possible with him.

What needed changed for billy
Address tuning guide, Thompson mix, doom engravings
What they changed, removed all charge speed addons other than ones of extreme high rariety with terrible downsides or annoying activation requirements,
Added a mechanic that shouldn't have existed in the first place with 4 of his 20 addons now combating it
made the mechanic more annoying because it didn't annoy good players enough
Temporarily made his movement speed addons comparable to hot garbage, 3% movement speed for 20% longer charge time what a deal
Made you stare at the ground after every ended chainsaw sprint so make it more disorienting to continue chases or start chases after sprinting
Removed all cooldown addons so now you get to stare at that ground for 3 seconds every single time you end a chainsaw sprint
Kept the mediocre addons like noise range, and hitting an object recovery speed
Gave us black greese which is arguably useless 99.8% of the time
Kept the downside on an arguably only ok purple addon because turning is too strong
Made an addon to incentivise not being able to use your chainsaw for 15 or more seconds
Basekit still has to deal with 25 heat per just starting a chainsaw sprint that takes 7 seconds without addons to fully recover from, 3 of which is cooldown at least but it can also build up
So yes its add ons, I am currently working atm so not gonna dissect this but this may affect your feelings towards him but the general opinion seems to be he is in a more balanced spot, the overheat mechanism doesn’t do anything (which is flawed yes) but it does help a bit against face camping billys. The add ons tho imo are fun and unique now, before his add on pass you would just run insta saw/cooldown. Also saying they temporarily ruined engraving add ons prove nothing since ya know they are fixed now. Billy was not nerfed to the ground that is far from true.
-
@bjorksnas said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1570577#Comment_1570577
No the changes were fine, they just took almost all the fun and the soul of the character along with them
What are you talking about tho? He is unchanged base kit wise? You must mean add ons then? I mean he has actually good add ons now instead of just insta saw billy
-
@bjorksnas said:
They nerfed something into the ground because it needed a touch up, I would compare it to needing to move the pillow on your bed to make it look nicer to instead light it on fire and burn the house down with it
Hillbilly had 1-2 things that needed to be addressed so of course they fixed it, then also made him completely unfun to play along with it
What the hell you on? His base kit virtually didn’t change at all? His add ons are now decent and adjusted, the overheat is really not that impactful and does not cause base kit billy to change. What was wrong with old billy was insta saw, old insta saw is now gone. He is not nerfed to the ground he is still good and his base kit literally did not change. If you are overheating consistently with billy you are doing something wrong.

Just like in this video.

Okay, I'm honestly tired of seeing this phrase when people talk about anything. It comes up a lot as an argument against Spirit or Deathslinger.
Look at the end of the day every killer and tactic has counter play. There were legit like 5 things in this game ever to not have counter play. Old Legion was one of them. Infinite loops (as in double window at cow tree with no bloodlust and no entity blocker) had no counter play. Heck even in the current game, yes, some stuff has little to no counter play. Ebony Mori. Keys.
But dear Jebus, every time someone tried to argue for a change to a killer they always bring up "no counter play". "Bro there is nothing you can do, you just lose, just D/C already". That's basically what I hear.
Spirit has counter play. Deathslinger has counter play. Now I don't like Deathslinger either, I think it's just a lame experience to get speared with no real way to fight back after that point. But that doesn't mean there is 0 counter play. Even as someone that hates Slinger I can acknowledge that there are ways to avoid getting shot. Tall wall loops work good. Dropping the pallet early generally helps. Janky movement can make it harder for the killer.
Oh yea, and hiding works. It works against Spirit too. "Hiding isn't counter play". Uh yes, it actually is. A 110 killer doesn't have the time to thoroughly search an area. If you never get found you never get caught. I've won games against many killers (Slingers and Spirits included) by just hiding. Yea, it's not exactly an exciting experience. It's boring, ESPECIALLY for killers (I've had people hide on me and it sucks), and it's a bit of a cheesey tactic but it's still a legit tactic at the end of the day. Hide near a gen, keep tapping it, force the 110 killer to search everywhere for you and give up pressure on the rest of the map. If everyone is doing this they will have to commit at some point because this is a battle of attrition and they will lose.
And I get people don't like these killers, again I hate Slinger. But come up with some original arguments and stop parroting a buzzword you heard. It's getting ridiculous.
You basically listed for DS common sense.. Yea you have to drop pallets early against him and hope you have a tall loop at your ready if not..Janky movement’s won’t help? Because while you are going out of your way to juke his shot you think he is going for.. he is getting free zoning on you and distance. If he shoots and misses, that is not you countered him. He just missed. Spirit is a whole other discussion and she is just straight guessing/ taking a risk.

Perk Swift Vengeance
Those who cross you will be punished swiftly.
Whenever a survivor stuns you, for the next 20,25,30 seconds, your next basic attack will have its cooldown reduced by 50%
Perk Aura of the Guilty
You pass on the weight of your guilt onto your victims who pass it onto those near them.
You are obsessed with a survivor, whenever you basic attack your obsession, for the next 40,50,60 ((Maybe 60,70,80)) seconds, anyone near the obsession takes a 20% decrease in repair/healing/sabotage speed
Only the Obsession can be affected by Aura of Guilt, if an obsession change occurs before the duration ends, it will end prematurely.
Just two cool little perks i thought on the top of my head.

@Godot said:
Most of the Killers I come across complain about being gen-rushed, but they don't look at the fact that they've tunneled a single Survivor the entire game.
Don't get me wrong, majority of Killers are actually smart and leave Survivors that really know how to loop or always lead them back to that one annoying loop area, and instead, they go after other Survivors. Or, these Killers are just simply better at the game, use good perks and put more pressure on generators.
Remember, the Killer's objective is not only to "kill" the Survivors, it is also to protect and keep the generators from being repaired. Many perks help the Killer in this case: Ruin, Corrupt Intervention, Surveillance, PGTW, Surge and even the new Dragon's Grip (presuming it won't be nerfed), in a way.
That said, being on a high horse and acting all high-and-mighty while tunneling a Survivor and miserably failing at it doesn't immediately put the blame on the Survivors for doing their one and only objective.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
And stop blaming the Survivors for doing their objective. lol
They don’t tunnel tho? say it takes 20 seconds to find a survivor, 10 seconds to hit them because you got a easy first hit, but 20 seconds to down them, all this time this survivor hasn’t ran past any gens with other survivors on them. Takes 10 seconds to carry to hook. Go to a gen by then 60 seconds pass takes 80 to complete a gen with one survivor, by then two gens are gonna pop and maybe a third on the verge depending on how well the survivors spread out. I can’t call it gen rush but gens do go pretty ridiculous fast and time the killer needs to spend on a chase has to be very short
Edit
point being, yea if a killer can’t catch the first survivor and just focuses on downing them they will lose, but most of the time the killer is playing chases very well but its just that they need to be so perfect sometimes in chase that just spending 30 seconds on a chase can decide the game. Killer has alot less room for error while survivors don’t need to plan ahead too much outside of chase (maybe only plan on what gens to do to avoid a 3 gen)
