Eh maybe a small haste boost but definitely not a full 150% sprint burst that would be stupid op and just a mess of unfortunate timing against the killer

Saying Skilled Huntress is not hard because you can farm it makes your other suggestions (Where did they go? And Evil incarnate) also easy. They are even easier to farm actually since for the huntress one you still need to actually hit the survivors from far away while they are injured; that’s very time consuming and not done in one short farming match, especially if you are not that good with huntress aiming to begin with.
No evil incarnate is harder to farm because you literally have to find a full group of survivors that are willing to literally let you kill them.

No because this is the 60th post and me and the lot that don’t want fnaf, are tired of explaining all the reasons Fnaf shouldn’t be in, Im just putting a short comment on this thread I am not in the mood for this to go on and on.

DBD in general caters to "old" horror fans, like Elder Millenials, Gen X'ers, and Baby Boomers. FNAF was geared towards young Millenials and IGen'ers. I think that is why you see most of the guff. Old guys don't feel like FNAF chars are "real" horror monsters, and generally don't have any experience with them at all beyond Google searches.
I'm pretty neutral on the whole topic myself. I think it would be a really odd fit, but I'm not here to ######### on anyone's day. I know my daughter used to love FNAF and it scared the crap out of her when she was younger.
I’m 23 and I am against Fnaf joining, wouldn’t fit. If they do join, well maybe till later because there are way more important licenses to add before fnaf

- Have basic map awareness and know where to run and when.
- Always keep an eye out for vaulting windows this is her BIGGEST counter as most windows she will always have a difficult time keeping up with.
Oh she counters looping and shuts it down..so we have to do something.. other then looping well good thing looping isn’t the only defense a survivor has against...OHH WAIT!

But he is a fanboy? Clearly? Nothing really wrong with being the fanboy and I responded to the shrine in closet because it made me laugh, the dude with that post was just making a joke, which was pretty funny. He did go a bit much into defending Fnaf and was a bit cringy imo ngl.

Like, to enjoy a franchise and campaign for it to be in one of your favorite games is a bad thing now?
Y'all can hate on the franchise for your own personal reasons, but just because you don't appreciate it, doesn't make it bad. That screams just as much bias as well.
Did i say I hate the franchise? Did i say anything you mention? Im just stating out that, that individuals post smelled full of bias, I never made my own point on this matter in this thread.

I don't see the issue with that though. If there was a genuine personal notification like No Mither has then literally every survivor would need to run DS to not get tunnelled and no one wants that. The Obsession is random for a reason - it lets the killer know that someone has it but they don't know who or how many, but if they did know exactly who has it then they could tunnel the remaining 3 or whoever doesn't have the symbol and that's extremely unbalanced
No im just saying technically having an obsession doesn’t mean there is a DS in the game. I dont agree with having a DS indicator either
-
@MiniPisa said:
Okay so i'm not against the DS thing HOWEVER that could become quite toxic. I can imagine someone with DS being completely useless because they'd want to use their perk, so they'd just be running around not doing anything.
The killer already has a notification when a survivor has DS, it's called the obsession.
And giving the killer a visual of someone with Unbreakable would make that perk completely useless, just like No Mither is.
You say there's nothing to prevent them from happening but there is - it's called not tunnelling. Ofc sometimes the killer isn't intentionally doing it, but if they're in that situation where it's either DS or Unbreakable then you're most definitely doing something to cause that scenario.
Not really a notification that they have DS, the killer could be running an obsession perk, or it could be a different obsession perk from DS someone being the obsession does not confirm they have DS, it only confirms that at least one obsession perk is in play

Sure, but the first few Saw movies were more like gorey thrillers lol. They certainly weren't slashers.
I mean I don't even care about FNAF (I'm not for it or against it, I just think the backlash is silly) but I just don't think that's really a reasonable argument. The Saw/FNAF comparison is a reasonable one if someone is going to use theme/genre as a gate to inclusion in DBD.
And sure, there might be better killers they could add imo. But that's all a matter of opinion.
Wasn’t calling saw a slasher but I’m tired of these threads so I’m not getting too much involved in this one

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1440331#Comment_1440331
If you think it's fine as-is, you're insane. The abusability in conjunction with unbreakable/soul guard puts the killer at such an upward battle that the survivors outright have to play terribly to lose. The only ones that overcome it are the top tiers.
There is a flaw to that tho what if you have a camping instadown killer he downs you being unhook and the unhooker, you have ds but he hooks the unhooker and now its gone

Wow, as if scott cawthorn or behaviour couldnt design a springtrap to fit dbd's aesthetics. Springtrap btw only fitting animatronic because spolier.
Fnaf deserves as much to be in this game as SAW-stuff. If torture porn can get in, then popular jumpscare horror can too. Most modern horror stuff is jumpscares, so why not fnaf.
People who dont want fnaf here are just salty *their favorite wasnt implemented* instead. Reference the pennywise/candyman etc crowds when Pyramid chad was addd.
The Saw chapter was based off the best saw movies being 1 and 2 when they didn’t just go down the torture porn route, you can’t really compare Fnaf to Saw 1 and 2, 3 maybe and anything after 3 sure idc i pretend those films don’t exist. Personally I would be against Fnaf coming to dbd because the common argument of it just wouldn’t fit in, also there are just better slashers and characters to be out in way before a Fnaf killer

A crossover with FNAF would be a goldmine for BHVR, there's not doubt about that. Scott Cawthon is quite a generous and humble man so he'd be quite cooperative when it comes to these type of things. Springtrap would be the perfect choice as a killer.
Also you absolutely cannot underestimate FNAF's sheer popularity, they have tons of merchandise and even an upcoming movie. That alone would give more than enough opportunity to do a FNAF chapter. Heck, I'd say FNAF is even bigger than DbD. And don't hate on the franchise just because lots of children happen to follow MatPat & Co. on their videos, the series is pretty much liked by all ages.
Would definitely not say Fnaf is bigger then Dbd not by a longshot, thing is there are far better licenses to go after then..Fnaf..ugh

Can all killers use all perks? If that's the case I didn't realise as thought each killer had their own set but one was learnable, my bad if they are all useable. In regards to the shapeshifter ability I think it's well balanced in this case as once you are out of it you have to hook someone to get it back, if you don't hook no one you can't use it so encourages team work to avoid the killer using it so makes the torch relevent again and escape perks.
It would be strong against solo survivors maybe but a SWF can easily tell each other whos who using voice comms.
-
Okay a few things one, The devs said they don’t plan on ever doing a disguise killer/shapeshifter as it wouldn’t work and would either be too weak or too strong, and Two killer perks are not suppose to directly affect their power..they are ment to be killer perks that can be used on any killer.

You mentioned Furtive Chase, that is one perk I feel needs changing. The effect is there but so difficult to read if it is effective or not, and it has been over a year since we have had Furtive Chase yet an online search can not provide me with any visual evidence of Furtive Chase in effect. The idea is interesting, but I feel as if I am playing with a placebo perk. Do you believe Furtive Chase is any good, and if so could you share some strategies, perk synergy and killers to use it with?
As with the perk ideology you mentioned, I did highlight that in my post. It is an intriguing concept, but I dislike how my Killer perk is ineffective without a Survivors voluntary contribution. It isn't as easy or passive as A Nurse's Calling or Spirit Fury. I do appreciate your feedback and would like to ask, what change would you feel fits well with Forced Penance? Or do you feel the perk is fine as is?
Well I stated elsewhere in this thread maybe have it when a survivors takes a protection hit (Gets in the way of judgement) make it the next time they heal they become expose for x time and maybe give away their position, also for FC a niche combo I wanna enjoy is with any stealth killer using FC MYC and nemesis and go for obsession hooks, when they unhook they will get expose, oblivious and you see their aura for 4 seconds. I run it with MYC tier 1 for shorter cooldown and you kinda just chain myc down whoever unhooks the obsession. I have some fun with that.

Your point? I never argued that, he didnt. But saying that you could just use 2 perks, that also does different things beyond that, to do one specific thing. Seems like a weak argument. Its like saying "Why should Hex: Devour Hope exist? When you could just use Rancor and Nemesis to do basically do the same thing". Just because a combination of 2 perks can do one thing, doesnt mean a weaker version of that combo cant exist, or a better version but with a requirement. Like STBFL is a 100% worse version of unrelenting.....until you get a few hits in on a non-obssession. Suddenly it helps a ton with not only missed attacks but also attacks that hit. And thats just one perk vs another.
It becomes even easier when a perk does several things to make a different perk that only does one thing. Like Fire up vs Brutal strength. Fire up is a lot better than Brutal strength....but only towards the end of the game, where its basically too late, making it a worse perk.
You can use Thanatopia to slow down healing and gen repair but not by a lot, or use Sloppy butcher and Pop goes the weasel for much slower gen repair but with some different requirements.
Point is the reworked offered is pointless, not the direction when the perks ideology is punishing those that interfere with the killers chase, he doesn’t need 2 perks dedicated to that effect

Demo got Surge which doesnt work with his Shred. Cannibal got Franklins demise which doesnt work with his Chain saw. And a few others dont work too well in how they generally play with their common perks. Just because its not perfect for them doesnt mean much in DBD land.
Still have the FC and Nemesis combo, besides demo may be a argument but bubba isnt, they even said he was rushed, I personally think a better rework of this perk would be any time a survivor takes a protection hit, since the perk is about standing in the way of judgement. They are punished later by this effect. If a survivor takes a protection hit next time they are fully healed they are exposed for X time maybe even add a loud noise notification or a aura reading. That would make it alot more interesting
-
I mean you can already do this using FC and Nemesis.. also PH is about using his cages so weird to give him a perk that wouldn’t even work with his cages.

3- other people said to wait the ptb
4- after the ptb people said the changes were bad
5- the changes are now live.
why people get so into this mindset of "everything you say before the ptb is invalid"? Do you not think people can use logic to think about what stuff means before actually trying them? Do you just do everything in your life before thinking how it might be a bad idea?
No there is no room to complain before the ptb, it’s stupid. With nurse imo her changes were fine. But I know alot disagree her not being changed from ptb to live could of been an issue but complaining about the changes before ptb is just ridiculous, let everyone get their hands on it and try these changes out and then say if its bad or not. If then it gets changed before going to live well that falls on BHVR

devs/mods need to make sure its fact or not or a bug
they won’t announce if it was or wasn’t a hacker most likely you’ll see something subtle in bug fixes during a hotfix, hacker or not thats the reason the dc punishments got turned off

'Forced Penance' is a new killer perk belonging to The Executioner. Survivors who take a Protection Hit are inflicted with the Broken Status Effect for 40/50/60 seconds.
Forced Penance has some synergy with the Mad Grit Build, allow me to elaborate. The Mad Grit Build requires the following perks: Agitation, Iron Grasp, Mad Grit, Hangman's Trick. Replacing Hangman's Trick with Forced Penance removes the tracking ability in favor of punishing neaeby Survivors with the Broken Status Effect. It is entertaining and strangely effective from my experience.
Which is why I feel Forced Penance needs to change.
Mad Grit is a meme perk in my opinion, which I would define as a low-usage specific perk that rarely receives value. Monstrous Shrine, Hex: The Third Seal, Cruel Limits and Mindbreaker are several examples of what I would classify as meme perks, useless for victory results but fun to use for entertainment only. I strongly believe this perk would have value on the Oni, as applying the Broken Status Effect guarantees more blood in the future. However, Forced Penance has one fatal flaw in its design.
Its control is in the Survivors hands, not yours. Therefore their is a high chance you may see little to no value from Forced Penance in numerous games.
Forced Penance I feel needs a change, but my proposed Idea would be a complete rework. A quick overview of The Executioner shows that he focuses on torment through deceiving methods, applying the Oblivious Status Effect through Deathbound and gaining the Undetectable Status Effect through Trail of Torment. Why not apply the same effect on Forced Penance?
My idea would be this.
Forced Penance: When a Survivor rescues another Survivor from a hook, Forced Penance triggers and applies the Oblivious Status Effect on the rescuer for 40/50/60 seconds.
Though my idea is by no means powerful, it would allow the perk more flexibility for perk synergy and usage, while in theory remaining true to The Executioner's focus on torment and deciet. At least, in my opinion it does.
Do you agree or disagree with my proposed change for Forced Penance? Support your thoughts and if you have other changes in mind, feel free to share your thoughts and share this idea in case the developers were to notice.
Feels weird to have a hook perk on a killer who has a mechanic that hook perks don’t work on...

Its honestly very far fetched and very stupid speculation imo, it makes more sense for bill to get his other half, a L4D killer. That makes more logical sense seeing how we just got our first video game killer they might wanna roll out another one! They already got bill so all we need now is one of the many special infected to join the ranks of killers in dbd..now who that would be..is up to speculation personally I would love the tank though not sure how to could implement such a behemoth into the game..

Here’s the thing though, he’s still only proving Bubba can get 4ks... we already know that he CAN.
Whenever he does his Bubba day I want you to consider every game he plays and imagine if he was Freddy, Nurse or Huntress... chances are you’ll think to yourself “man any other killer would have got 4k too and much easier.”
But the argument isn’t that he is better then those killers..its just that he is underrated and not as horrible as people make him to be
-
there is no universe where demo is below Legion.
EDIT also? Perkless performance should definitely not be a category decideder, no one is playing perkless unless they are challenging themselves, it should be all many perks the killer synergizes with, and how efficient they are with perks.

I don't really think it's fair to compare fnaf net worth right now to other popular movies that have had decades and decades of time to grow and get money. Fnaf is like 6 years old and only really exposed to the internet because it's a game franchise. A very popular game franchise but still a game franchise.
Maybe you should wait for the fnaf movie to come out and let the franchise be exposed to the public before comparing it to the other horror icons that came in the theater. Not saying that the others aren't great horror icons with lots of money but it's just not fair to compare fnaf net worth when it hasn't had the chance to be seen by like idk a 40 year old who doesn't care about gaming on the internet. After all, if stranger things wasn't even a horror icon and got in, I feel like Fnaf can slip right in.
Im not arguing about what Fnaf can make the post I was responding to made it sound like Fnaf was worth way more then it actually is, saying how costly it would be for BHVR to acquire the License. I have no idea if Fnaf could earn more I’m just saying that it costing a “Fortune” will definitely not be an issue when we have licensed killers that most likely cost BHVR more money then Fnaf would. Though overall I’m against the FNAF chapter either way.

That begs the question how much data is enough. One day is hardly enough to tell if your games were good due to RNG giving you bad survivors or bad due to getting good ones.
I'm not saying that he faces bad survivors all the time but I'm definetly saying that calling killer underrated based on just a few games with players of random skill levels yet them always facing Tru3 of pretty high skill level is unreliable way to prove a point of underatement.
For example if I play Deathslinger for a day or two and get 4k in 90% of my games does that magically mean that he's top tier ? No, ofc not, too much random elements influencing the outcome cause that none of those games can reliably give any real proof of his viability. Only thing they provide is a shift in my (as the one playing him) opinion on him due to my good results but they aren't proof since someone else with about the same skill as me could have done the same and got better survivors, worse RNG on maps, etc and have for example only 40% kill rate.
If he wants to many even slight attempt to prove viability he should go into KYF with players that are considered as good survivors that are on Tru3's level of skill and make large sample of games with them. That's the only way to prove anything, only other way is devs releasing stats on the killers viability over large amount of time and we know that won't happen.
He can have an opinion but if he wants others to listen and discuss that topic with him then he has to hear their arguments as well, not just dismiss them because he's doing well which is proof enough for him.
Well the argument atm is that he is just underrated its not like its trying to say he is the new best killer or anything, I say getting consistent wins with Bubba could prove the point that maybe people assume bubba is worse then he actually is.. which I have to agree bubba does have some decent strengths. I think Bubba does get alot of sh*t for being bad when in reality he isn’t bad at all...the only issue I have with Bubba is..he is very boring to play as imo and still needs a rework not to make him more viable but to make him more fun.
-
I think Tru is perfectly fine and entertaining streamer who is very skilled at the game
