Killers have every right to complain because the game is still survivor-sided (going on 4 years now). The map rework was a nice step in the right direction, but unfortunately map design is still abysmal.

The devs have A LOT more work to do before the game starts becoming relatively balanced.

And your claim about how the devs balance around high end PC players is completely false. I wish that were the case though. Because then the devs would realize how strong survivors actually are and balance the game accordingly.

The majority of killers had above average kill ratings before the most recent sweeping changes. So no, this game is not survivor sided.

    People of the fog:

Good afternoon, I am looking my game and is not the one I bought some months ago, actually Freddy and the Doctor are really different about what you offered me at the beginning when you sold me this game. I am also looking there is a perk that i was using (Hex: Ruin) it's not the same one when I payed you the game and basically I gave you my money due to I like all those products. Is there a way to receive all my money back due to what I bought is not on the game any longer?

I think it's not legal to remove or change products that they sold due to they offered us a thing and at the end they gave us a different thing, won't change thing that you sold. (I'm glad my car's brand representative is not outside of my house requesting me to change my car's engine from good to bad performance!)

I'm also looking all people is angry due to RUIN perk was removed and they are right (I'm not lying... 20 minutes to connect as a survivor...), and I am also looking survivors are STILL doing engines in less than 30 seconds!

Survivors are having Pallets, Lights, Fire Crackers, Loops, Infinite Perks !!! and more!... and killers NOTHING .. and the only good perk killers had was removed! ILLEGAL!!!! (In order to push developers bring back this perk to normal i think all killers needs to stop playing until perk is back again, the only way to end injustice is by people's unity!)

Please let me know how to open a case to receive all my money back or receive an update with all perks and characters i payed.

Whats an infinite perk and where do I get one? 🧐

Yeah, Killers only have all those pesky aura perks, insta-downs, and iri addons, and moris. Such a travesty.

It was you who said that it's doesn't matter in the first place...

    Yes, I read that.

What you should mean is you disagree with either side being able to see the opposing person(s) name. Otherwise it is a complete double standard.

DS is just a punishment perk without any consecuence forthe survivor, is just 1 min of immunity. thats why is an S teir perk and one of the best in the game it activates by failing at doing your objective wich is escaping from the killer as similar as noed.

    1. Most perks don't come with a consequence. BHVR has done a lot of work in older patches to remove consequences from perks.
    2. It does not provide 1 minute of immunity. It provides 5 seconds of stun. If a killer chooses to GIVE a survivor 60 seconds of immunity vs. eating a 5 second stun, that's their choice.
    3. DS activates for a number of reasons, and none of them have to be because you failed at anything.
  • @Brhoom said:

I disagree with survivors seeing killers' names.

Good killers will get dodged, famous streamers will only get trolling games, and killers who only main one killer will get outplayed.

Just like good survivors will get tunnel mori'd and good survivor streamers will get trolling games?

Your argument can be that anyone seeing names is unfair and NO ONE should see them. But any argument where it's ok for Killer's but not for Survivor's is just invalid. There's no reason that I've ever heard that doesn't go both ways.

The reason I was thinking the broken status effect wouldn't appear to the killers is because they would just wait for the endurance to run out

I hear ya, but again, I like people being able to discern a legit kobe.

The biggest problem I see with a lot of the fixes to face camping is that during the match - face camping is really unfair. Especially as the first person hooked. However, in end-game, face camping IMO is much more acceptable, since it's the Killer's last opportunity to secure a Kill and they have a right to defend their hook when there is literally no other objective to meet. So if anything were to be done to deter people from face camping, I really think it would need to end after the last gen was completed. In this case, the person with Deliverance wouldn't get the Endurance status if all the generators are finished. Because having someone able to off-hook themselves in your face and take a hit would be too OP in end game to really be fair for the Killer.

Actually, I do have a "Mori Outlet" for Survivor.

I bring Decisive Strike, Quick & Quiet, Head-On and Iron Will.

Let the Killer grab me from the Locker, stun then, go back in the Locker, then stun them with Head-On. :D

That always feels satisfying no matter how much times I do it.

Though it guarantees I get facecamped next time I get hooked

I dont know that I would call this a mori outlet. Its a play I would probably liken to a camp/tunnel, since you probably are going to get face camped (not win) but it feels oh so satisfying 😂

  • @monster89 said:

so I don't understand why killer always seems to have priority over survivor when it comes to hatch. Even if I get to hatch first. Is there a certain angle or a trick to beat the killer when it comes to a stare down at hatch?

Killer action pretty much always takes priority and in the case of the hatch, it's extremely killer sided in that you can be literally standing on it and they can close it on you, but if they are even standing near it, you cannot jump in. There is no way to better get the hatch - you just have to be far enough ahead of the Killer, otherwise you're dead.

  • I just think they should allow survivors to see the Killer's username and make it fair. There's no reason not to. Then you could just dodge them if they were an ass or bring streamers if they were fun.

  • I would personally like a counter that shows an icon or a check mark or something next to the survivor's avatar when they do a totem, for each totem they do. I dont even care if it's in game or in the post-game screen. I wanna know who the ######### didnt do at least one MF totem when I get hit with NOED after doing at least 2. That person deserves a donkey punch.

  • I think suggestions on both sides get shut down or dismissed by people with biases toward the other side. There are just more Killer mains in forums than survivor mains, so their noise is louder.

  • @Tiersis said:

I went into a match, all 4 popped at once, and the names had a theme, and all of them had unique outfits. I knew something was off, and I had my finger on the cancel button to dodge.

You know... I said to myself, "Tiersis, all the people in the forum just tell you that you can get good if you just learn to play against these teams. I mean, I'm a rank 11 killer! Thats not bad for only a week or so back in the game!"

Well, I shoulda lubed up before stepping that that match.

All 4 escaped, it was like playing against an AI that moved all 4 characters in unison in the optimal path to break every one of my traps, find all the totems. Heck, 2 gens popped in unison before I even got into my first chase. Of course there was the SWF mating dance of teabagging and flashlight clicking that accompanied it, and the ritualistic standing in the exit gates until the last second to prolong my misery.

Well, I kitted up again. Ebony Mori, addons that hid my traps and made them insta down, my best perk loadout, the whole 9.

Lobby pops, and this time, I just decided I was gonna do every single thing that I know survivors hate. I camped, they rushed. They unhooked, I tunneled. Got through Borrowed time, and a DS to the face, maintained my tunnel, Mori!

2 of the folks I had slugged of course had unbreakable and got back up. Like they do. Managed to hunt two more down and Mori them, while another was on the Hook. I think, I GET A 4K, yay!

But no, just to take a big giant dump on my face one last time, he Kobes AND GETS HATCH.

This is why we need Moris folks, because if we didn't have some way to take out the rage on these SWF A-holes I don't think I'd have the mental stability to prevent myself from actually becoming a serial killer.

What I find interesting about this is the mentality that because you had one sweaty SWF match, that you felt the best solution was to go ham on the next team of people who had no knowledge or contribution to your previous angst whatsoever. And this is a problem. Killers get a SWAT team and lose, then load up every iri add-on and abusive play style tactic they can on the next match, except the next match is probably just a random group of solos trying to have a fun match after a long day of work (I am usually in this match 😑).

It's also interesting the admission that there is retribution in being Killer in a match. Either you can pursue and the offender of your delicate sensibilities and kill them OR you use this tactic and strap on everything in your arsenal to go balls deep on the next team and it makes you feel better. However, what retribution do survivors have against the guy that goes balls deep on them because of SOME OTHER team they don't even know? Nothing. They have nothing in a match they can do. Instead, they unload in post-game lobby and then Killers come here and cry about how toxic survivors are in chat - when really, they are just venting everything Killers had the opportunity to vent by literally murdering them.

So yes, it's great you have a means to relieve your in game stress, because no one wants you to go postal, but keep in mind your opposing team doesn't have that luxury. So next time you wonder why people are explosive in post-game or why survivors can't "accept the loss"...know that stress and frustration goes both ways in this game, and survivors don't have a mori outlet. ;)

  • Giving Deliverance a BT would be OP in end game. I dont see this buff happening. I also don't see them hiding your status effect from the Killer, nor would I want to. There are a handful of OG killers who still respect a legit kobe. You would never know who was a legit kobe vs. who was using Deliverance in this case. Its fun to have a moment with the Killer where they look at you and nod like, "Bruh, you just legit kobed!" and I'm like, "I know, Bruh. I'm as shocked as you" and then I hobble off and we meet again later. 😂

  • If this FOV is this game doesn't mesh with you, maybe this isn't your game. Or maybe killer is not your role.

FOV should not be an "option"...a bigger FOV is an advantage for the Killer and everyone would use it. Wider FOV would just become basekit.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I suppose the best summary to support this statement is that it’s much more likely for survivors to occasionally come up against a killer that allows the last survivor to escape, rather than a killer occasionally finding a survivor that gives a pity kill.

To be fair...a killer that sweats ridiculously on a team, slugging, camping, and tunneling people to death...then gives the last guy the hatch is not doing so because they are kind and empathetic. Its just a flex. "I want you to know I could have killed you, after I slugged your teammate to ensure you got downed without a shot at the hatch, but I'm going to give you the hatch anyway so you can forget all the ######### I did to your team and be grateful for my mercy - I expect a post-game thank you". It's just a weird sense of control. I hate pity hatch. I'd much rather have actual empathy throughout a match vs. a fake burst of it at the end.

  • This game has lost a lot of what made it fun.

Many things may help adress your concerns, but still keep in mind that not everything can be that easy for survivors.

    • Legion can only make survivors mend if they hit a healthy survivor first.
    • Missing a hit puts the power on a 7.5 sec cooldown or more
    • Legion cant vault pallets in Feral Frenzy but can vault them while in Beastial Frenzy
    • Tracking is very niche in both stances
    • He is a 4.4 m/s killer, so the power makes him faster for a short time to compensate
    • Hitting someone out of the power drops the bar to 0

If breaking pallets would waste his power, it would be pretty useless imo. It only lasts 7 seconds and after that youre a 4.4 m/s killer with a 15 secs cooldown power.

"Not everything is easy for survivors"

    😂🤣

Most things aren't, my friend. Most things are not.

A teammate of mine had this yesterday...I ran up to where her body was and couldn't off hook her...so I ran over to the empty hook and it let me "off hook" her 6 feet away 😂 I wondered if it looked the same for her or if I just looked crazy stopping 6 feet from the hook doing nothing for a second. Any build with iri head+infantry belt. Your welcome.

    😂

I don't run those, I like to actually play my Huntress. 😂

  • Unbreakable does have a downside, you can only use it once during a match, although Killer's ability to slug is only limited by your bleed out timer.

Dead hard does have a downside, it doesn't work a lot of the time. 😂 Aside from that, being slower would negate its use entirely, since Killers are already basekit faster than you and its speed boost is negligible.

Adrenaline having a broken status effect and a speed reduction would again nullify the perk completely. You get a short speed boost and a health state...then you're slower than basekit - so your distance gain is lost - and a 1-shot anyway? What would be the point?

They removed the negative side effects from killer perks many patches ago (notably, the Hag). Adding them to survivors would not be justified.

  • This does not sound any more fun for survivors. Current Legion is a monotony of mending/healing. The suggestion is: mend, don't heal...except now he'd be able to put you into dying state by chasing you at his higher than average run speed? He can't jump a palette (one of his cooler features to see as survivor) but breaking a palette wastes none of his power? I don't see where this would be any improvement from the survivor perspective. What am I missing?

  • On the contrary, I'd just like to be able to see the killer's name (I'm pc), so that I can avoid toxic ass ppl instead of get them again and have another ######### match.

You heal in a game against legion? Why? Just mend and do a gen

If the killer continues to run off, I do typically immediately mend and continue my gen. Depends on the circumstance. I find it hella ######### annoying that every time he hits you, however, you have to essentially heal twice to get back to full health. Its so ######### annoying.

Ok so I haven't been able to play dbd hardcore for about 2 weeks because of Legion hate. I spend about 3 straight days off grinding Legion perks and feeling pretty good. I made some fun builds and had a philosoply of hooking everyone, slowing the game down and maybe getting a sacrifice or 2. Even without a sacrifice with BBQ and such I was able to consistently get BP and usually pip. I thought I had mastered the game.

I had a made a playstyle that tried to follow all the survivor rules about not camping and even not tunnelling. I had read post about how pipping and blood points worked and my games both me and survivors were consistently getting lots of blood points and probably pipping due to both getting gains from chases and saves etc.

Well I was still getting end match grief for playing Legion and then when I went to share my joy of finding a perfect spec for me from Streamer son Twitch I found that they ALL every single one of them hate Legion and anyone playing Legion. I even played a Legion game with Blood Hound for the first time (did a little moonwalking head down chasing and beat a group of pretty good swf, but that actually just made me feel like a jerk.)

So I decided to put Legion on the bench, cus I really do like to please people (not going to change, so don't tell me to toughen up). And I really do suck at this game, sure I could put in another 1000 hrs and be a little better at mind games and such, but at this point its pretty painful. I have consistently sucked at Clown, Billy, Bubba, Dr, Hag etc. Granted I got up to rank 5 with Legion and the higher quality of survivor has been part of the problem.

My last game I finally started to feel good with Bubba, I was downing survivors, got 3 separate ones hooked and four total hooks. I got lots of chases and 3 chainsaw downs. Sure not much but it wasn't completely terrible, then when I only got 3 pip points for the match I lost it (and went and typed this). Seriously dipped by that much even at rank 13 after regression. I feel I'm done, I want to enjoy this game, but its very hard right now. Granted my reflexes aren't that awesome and I'm not hardcore grinding out games for the last 2 weeks. I have a little over 400 hrs in and was really enjoying this game till this.....

    Legion is mind-numbing. I hate Legion matches. You spend 20+ minutes mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing, mending/healing.

    FFS.

His matches are typically long and boring. I'd rather die and go play a killer whose is actually fun to play against, not just one long drawn out match of double healing every. single. time. he runs by. 😴

  • Nah fam. Its your job to find them. Do your job. 🤷

  • Someone else posted a video of them playing a Freddy match and this had happened. You could fill out a bug report in the forums (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bugs). Or submit a ticket in game, per the usual.

  • My encounter with a finger-wielding, tunnel-mori clown begs to differ. 🤡

  • Well you got one thing right, this is a rare opinion. LOL

  • I personally think any killer can be played fairly.

The most unfun things about the game tend to be addons, offerings, or play style.

Any killer can make the game a challenging yet fun time. Some just choose not to.

For the most part i see way more survivors that lose their minds in the chat ( and forums) than killers. Not saying its 100%/0% but id say maybe 75%/25% which is about expected with 4 times as many survivors. Its not good but this id just my guesstimate based on games i play.

I wish you'd play killer some. Learn some perspective.

That being said, the best end game strategy as last one standing is to not even bother with the hatch.

Sute doors spawn really close sometimes but as a survivor, rank 4 cause i cant run for #########, Ive only had a handful if occurrences where the doors were so clise together i couldn't open one of them and escape.

The hatch is a chance but if you place everything on it you are, by design going to lose without a key.

If you want a chest to spawn at the end with a key in it thats fine. But hatch standoffs were much more of an issue than EGC

Nah fam, hatch stand offs were the bees knees. 😍

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1285924#Comment_1285924

Why are you pretending that RNG isn't a factor? 'EGC certain death?' It's also a completely free escape if the doors arent touching each other, theres certainly no skill to the current exit strategy for either side. Killers patrol the gate, survivors part-then-fully open it. It's entirely RNG as to where the trap door spawns, so it's entirely random as to who sees it first, it's entirely RNG as to where the doors spawn, so it's entirely random as to whether or not the killer will be able to interrupt the survivor by patrolling.

It is amazing the number of people that think they are skillful or that they earned something that was essentially a roll of the dice.

Except it isn't a roll of the dice as to who has the upper hand in these completely random scenarios.

    Hatch:

Yes, it can spawn a number of places. Where it is in relation to the Killer/Survivor is "random". However, it typically spawns while the match is still in play. When the Killer is freely traversing the map, patting and chasing survivors. Meanwhile survivors are stealthing specific areas of the map and skirting around it to finish gens. The Killer has a lot more opportunity in their travels to see it in advance. After that, in end-game, if there is only 1 survivor left usually the killer has already seen it and can close it right away...and if neither knows where it is, the killer has more opportunity to find it, as they can -again- freely traverse the map without having the slowdown of having to stealth and be cautious, and in addition are naturally faster than a survivors too. It used to be a 50/50 shot as to whether or not you'd get hatch or subsequently the killer would get the kill. Now, its completely tilted in the Killer's favor and I would bet real money on those statistics.

    EGC:

Doors are RNG, however, doors almost always spawn perpendicular. So they are naturally fairly close together. In addition, maps whose door spawn used to be solely across from eachother, Lery's, was changed so that even it will spawn them perpendicular to make it easier for Killers to pat in end-game. There is a small chance you can 15% the gate, wait for a pat, and then try to get the additional 85% but that happens pretty rarely on most maps, since Killers don't often have to walk entirely to either door to see you with the amount of dead space between doors. Sometimes they are close enough together that the killer can walk back and forth a couple feet to see both handles the entire time. This is before you factor in the number of high mobility killers who can pat both doors easily before you could possibly finish 85% of a door, and unlike the old days, you can't simply tap a door, hide, wait, and come back because the EGC timer doesn't allow nearly enough time for this stealthy style of game play. If you don't get your 85% off the first time, you're guaranteed dead either to the Killer or the entity. It is pretty much certain death in the majority of cases.

My statement doesn't negate RNG. Solely calling it RNG negates the advantages that exist for Killers during this portion of the game.

most killer iridescents are trash. The only ones that are actually strong are mori, hatchet head, and pinky finger. And I see keys like 5-10 times as much as I see moris, pinky, or hatchet.

This is blatantly untrue. LOL, you do not see 5x, let alone 10x, as many keys as moris, pinkies or hatchets. I don't think you see as many keys as you see addon + mori combos even. 😂 Might as well go ahead and Tombstone in there, while you're listing extremely powerful iris. In addition to these pretty damn powerful iri's, very few of the Killer iri's are actually "trash". Mint rag - good. Iri King - good. Iri coil - good. This is just silly all the way around, good sir.

If a survivor 1-hook-suicides because the Killer is not 'playing fair' or some other stone-stupid thought process; It's not the Killer's fault. Those Survivors would 100% find something to ######### about & shift the blame off their lack of skill.

DCers will always find a reason to DC/Hook-Suicide. IE: Bitches gonna #########.

It is actually the Killer's fault in a lot of cases, for the aforementioned reason. Killers have to take some level of responsibility for their own actions. Especially when they know going into a match that their goal is to make sure everyone else doesn't enjoy themselves. It's not illegal to be an ######### to people, but you sure as ######### can't expect them to want to be around you when you are. It has nothing to do with skill. It's common sense.

    A) Survivors get out via the hatch the majority of the time it becomes an issue. It's why every other thread for a while was deriding "sweaty killers slugging for the 4k". Also, doors are RNG. I've had them spawn so far apart that it was 100% a free escape for the survivor, literally impossible to get from one to the other in a straight line fast enough. Besides, even if it's 50/50, how is that bad? The team failed in every way.

    B) That's the definition of "free". The team failed, but you still get a chance at a win.

    C) That's how team games work. You live and die with the team, generally. You're not entitled to something extra because you think your team sucked.

Also, D) The hatch is a classic example of the survivor-centric thinking of the game. Survivors were behaving poorly, holding games hostage, refusing to do objectives. So what do the devs do? Make the offenders easier to find somehow? Punish them with a timer earlier? No, they give them a chance at a free win in the hopes that hurting the killer that way would be enough to satisfy them so that they'd stop trying to harm them another way.

Seriously, survivors complaining about the hatch are startlingly oblivious or entitled. It's literally only there to give them something good enough for free in the hopes of getting them to stop throwing temper tantrums.

Survivors don't get out via the hatch a majority of the time. So this is a total non-issue. The vast majority of the time the killer finds and closes the hatch first - they typically already know where it is. Sweaty killers slug for a 4k because their ego can't stomach the idea of someone escaping, regardless of what BHVR considers a balanced game.

Door RNG is almost always perpendicular. Not across from each other. Even Lery's had a door change patched in so they can even spawn perpendicular now to reduce the chance of getting out, despite the number of high mobility killers and the small size of the map. EGC is never 50/50. EGC is completely killer sided.

And no, thats not the definition of "free" thats the definition of "fair".

And again, no. This is not a team game. Its solos play an individual game that demands some level of teamwork. You don't live and die with the team you didn't choose and have no control over their skill or their rank. In actual team games, you choose your team or at least get paired with people remotely your own skill level. Not so in this game. Thus this really does not apply. Its you against the Killer and it just so happens its advantageous to keep the other 3 people in the match around.

Also again, no one is 'entitled' to a free escape. If you did everything you needed to do to stay alive AND find the hatch BEFORE the Killer can get to it, you earned that escape. If you don't and you get caught, they earned a kill. You aren't ENTITLED to a kill because you did 75% of your job...and again again again, EGC and the hatch are way more slanted toward Killers.

Your killer-centric thinking is really showing with option "D" here. If a survivor gets caught they should have hid better. If a survivor doesn't do their objectives to your liking they should have been more bold. If a survivor finds a hatch that's much more likely for the killer to find and escapes - it's unfair, but EGC killing you to door RNG and killer mobility is completely fine. Speaking of entitlement. Your assessment of why Devs put a hatch in the game (as a slight against killers) is a complete lie. But its a cute notion.

Abso-#########-no-one was complaining about hatch here BUT KILLERS. Lmfao. KILLERS ARE CRYING ALL OVER THE FORUM TODAY. Hense this post. Others, myself included, are simply pointing out that end game is literally spoon fed to Killers and the hatch has already been drastically nerfed - FROM ITS ACTUAL FAIR AND BALANCED STATE - to being much more killer sided...along with other end game mechanics to please you hungry babies, yet you continue to cry cry cry.

Imagine being such a ######### whiner, you can literally get what you ask for repeatedly and continue to cry about how it's not good enough. Yall a bunch of whiners, for real. You especially.

  • I'd rather Survivor's last remaining unnerfed iridescent not be totally cucked. Especially by something as obnoxious as a mori.

  • I would find this most advantageous in end-game, when killers tend to slug to 4k. Maybe it would deter some from slugging. But, in reality you're just going to bleed out in that scenario without unbreakable anyway. So it wouldn't really make a huge difference and would probably piss people off. I'm fine with BBQ as is, although I agree, it does take away from deerstalker's functionality that way.

  • BT is not carelessly used. Its strategically used. It already has the condition of needing to be in the Killer's terror radius to activate, making it a risky save to begin with that doesn't guarantee the off-hooker any safety. It's fine as is.
