I'm not going to disagree that the match was quick. However, the dude secured a legit 2k (balance)...and let someone go (which was nice considering the off-hook situation)...meaning he could have probably gotten a 3k despite the gen rush. This just doesn't seem like its proving the point you'd like to make.

I don't believe most of what you just said about your experience. But have fun on your dbd-cation.

To be fair, if a team is communicating, this already happens in so many matches. Someone usually sees the killer pretty quickly. Or...you hear a specific radius, you see a trap, a jig saw box, the timer on your avatar, you hear a charge/bell/teleport. It wouldn't really change that much.

Sorry but that's b.s. the maps are not that noticeable and it was a real issue and sabotaging is instantaneous so its not that big of a nerf its buffed speed and against a team you still lose hooks but sabo was op before toolboxes werent that useful before at least now I can actually see the speed and medkits are fine all items need add-ons to shine the green has less charges but insane heal and you don't realize that when you can loop and heal with that medkit then fully heal against the killer it is so annoying and time.consuming for killer and insta heals suck now but they were pretty stupid with how strong they were
The map changes are actually quite noticeable. A lot more dead zones, palette placement changes, more unsafe palettes, doors directly next to windows. These are highly noticeable when you're in a chase. I don't know how many maps I've stopped in a spot and looked around pretty surprised at the utter lack of resources. It's not a catastrophic problem - but it's definitely noticeable.
No survivors asked for the sabo changes. They are in no way a buff when the previous method of 99'ing and (actually) instantly being able to drop a hook is far superior to having to guess/perfectly time a sabo that takes a couple seconds and highly risks being injured. I have seen far less successful hook sabos since the changes. Two, to be exact.
Toolboxes are pretty useless now. You have to be incredibly careful about when you use them, especially against Killers with Ruin or Pop who can render your entire toolbox pointless fairly easily.
Med kits themselves are fine - but their rare/ultra rare addons took a huge nerf. In fact, all iri addons for survivors outside of flashlights have been significantly nerfed. The only REALLY viable iri item survivors have left that havent taken a significant hit are keys.
Alaenyia is not wrong - the majority of the changes implemented in the last year and a half have definitely benefited Killers more than survivors for the reason the OP posted about: SWF. They are also right that solo survivors have been sort of left in a lurch as a result. That doesn't mean the changes were necessary or good for the game...but ignoring the fact that tuning the game for SWF to benefit Killer's experiences while doing nothing to bridge the solo survivor/random team gap is a huge mistake. The image in this thread clearly displays why - solo survivors/random teams out number SWF and lack all of the advantages the game is being tuned to help account for.

Just curious as to individual reasons of the community. I've logged about 1.2k hours but in the last month I have "gone on a diet" with the game so to speak and I find myself feeling the urge to play lesser by the day. I still enjoy the game and don't have any plans to quit it but I'm content with the limited gameplay. Here's my personal answer:
I have my complaints about the game but I keep playing because I love an asymmetrical PvP game that is fun to play on both sides, despite the recent bias towards survivor gameplay.
So if you are someone like me who posts their opinions on the game's shortcomings, why do you keep playing? (Let's all be little Fonzies about this and not judge any answers 😉)
I love the game itself. Outside of specific players - i love the concept, the mechanics, the artwork, the storylines, etc.
I like playing with other people. I only play multiplayer games. I like the social aspect and even the unique form of in-match communication.
Even though a lot of times there is at least 1 person in a match hellbent on ruining the match for others or who isn't of an adequate skill level to be paired with the people they're in the match with...occasionally there are very fun, exciting matches. Those are the matches I play for. Where skill level is balanced, all players play respectfully and fairly, chases are fun and everyone plays to their objectives and gets great points, everyone is friendly at the end of the match - no matter the outcome. Those matches are what make this game feel fun and rewarding.

@Perelie said:
Until then the game is far too stacked in survivor's favour. It's ridiculous you balance a game around the assumption that one side are random people with no communication, but then allow queueing with friends and communication. It's simply not balanced.
If you have played this game for a year or more, you would know that devs are balancing the game to deal with SWF groups. This is not currently a survivor sided game, as evident by the kill rates.
-
I really hope he does not get a longer power or a faster chase speed. As a survivor (I know, no one cares), his matches are already so long - especially after the last patch. Him being able to mend hit more people faster would just be so mind numbing. In red ranks, Legions I've experienced don't have an issue having, at a minimum, a balanced game and the matches are just long AF. Killers already hate Ormond. Can't we just vote this DLC out of the game? 😂
-
I think that sounds awesome and could really add some personality for each Killer.
On the same note, I understand the argument that having no way to identify what Killer you have until you encounter them is part of the advantage of Killer and the excitement or anticipation of survivor.
I would love to see that, personally. I love Huntress, so I would be jazzed to see a basement that really speaks to her story line.

Well you must have missed out on the good Pyramid Head players. I myself have downed quite a few people who ran straight at the hook thinking they could get a 1 for 1.
You are right. I definitely haven't seen any legitimately good PH players. Mostly just tunnelers.

Have you actually ever played in a multiplayer game? Like no, seriously, have you played any other multiplayer game before? In your life? I don't care what it is, any OTHER multiplayer game that has a competitive scene even if it is casual.
People understand that some players play to win, and that's fine, what's so hard to understand about that? Of course I know I am playing with real people, they're as real as you and me and I always treat them the same way I treat everyone else in a game, I treat them as opponents.
I will sabotage their ability to do objectives, whether I do that as a Survivor or Killer. I will purposefully use tactics that they may find annoying, whether that is by slugging or using flashlights to save a teammate from being hooked.
Just because you cannot FATHOM why someone would want to WIN in an ONLINE GAME, doesn't make what you say right.
LOL, I ONLY play multi-player games...exclusively PC for the last 12 years.
There's nothing hard to understand about what you're saying. There's a difference between comprehension and agreement. I can comprehend your point, I just believe it's wrong and that your particular stance does nothing but breed more toxicity into this game. Something I would very much like to see reduced for everyone.
I said I cannot FATHOM why someone would want to 'win' a match over someone else by effectively not challenging them at all. There is a huge difference between a quick slug to slow down a match, which doesn't take a person immediately out of the game with no recourse on their end, or using a flashlight to save a teammate, which actually requires some variety of skill and timing to accomplish, and using tunneling to immediately incapacitate and remove someone from a match beyond their control. Killing a wounded baby deer does not make you a great and powerful hunter.
I have no problem with people playing to win. I have a problem with people using insanely cheap and skill-less tactics against people with little to no recourse or control over any aspect of the situation. Especially when it is such a rampant issue.
-
😂🤣😂🤣
I dont know if this is bang up advice. As far as I have seen so far in the PTB, most PH's just tunnel cages or camp hooks. So...he'll be a real treat when he's released, I'm sure.

You say expectation, all I hear is entitlement.
You're not entitled to a fun game, the other side does not have that obligation to that for you. It's the same with Killers who feel helpless against Survivors who knows what they are doing, but they are not entitled for a pity Kill or a pity Sacrifice.
I'm sorry you think people wanting to win in an Online Multiplayer game that has Ranking is such a foreign concept to you.
Of course all you hear is entitlement. It's everyone's favorite word in this forum when anyone suggests that people show a modicum of consideration for other human beings. It is not, in fact, entitlement. I don't believe anyone in this game deserves special treatment. I think everyone in this game deserves fair treatment. And there is nothing fair about being tunneled to death.
I'm sorry you play a multiply player game with other actual people and choose to treat them like meaningless AI, because you cannot advance in a casual game's rank system without numbing yourself to the fact that you're actually interacting with other human beings who are in the game to have the same thing you are - fun. 🤷
-
I just got done stating that Killers should play to all of their objectives...
...the same applies to survivors.
Why should you PIP if you ignore 50% of your objectives? They are there to provide a balanced match. Be more cognoscente of your emblem progress next time.

So play by your rules or don't play at all? Seems fair. Not everyone thinks like you do, some like to tunnel or facecamp and find it fun and you suiciding on hook because you don't want to reward him takes the fun away from him. But it is fair because they didn't play by your rules, I understand that.
Sometimes survivors are bad and "tunneling" cannot be avoided, but I guess killers should just look the other way so it goes by your rules and you don't have to suicide on hook, again, taking the fun away from your team and killer.
Gen rushing is actually comparable to tunneling in a way. Tunneling takes the fun from survivor, while gen rushing can take the fun away from killer. But I guess gen rushing isn't a thing and even if it was it is fine because that would go by your rules.
And you accuse of treating players as NPCs while you enforce your rules on killers? BHVR should add game mode where you could play against actual bot that follows your rules so you won't get upset and suicide on hook when things doesn't go exactly like you want.
These aren't "my rules". I mean, I would love to take credit for the 'golden rule', but unfortunately it was around long before I was born.
Clearly not everyone thinks like I do, because people ruin matches I'm in every single day. That's pretty clear.
Tunneling is a choice. It can always be avoided. You may choose not to avoid it...but that's a conscious decision to punish that person. Maybe you're doing it because they were toxic to you...that's understandable. Clearly I don't like toxic people either. But unless it's that or end game, you shouldn't be tunneling people.
Gen rushing isn't comparable to tunneling at all. There are numerous ways to kill a survivor. There is 1 way to do a gen. Killers like to claim tunneling is a made up thing...except it has a very definable action that people in both camps recognize and validate. Gen rushing is literally just doing generators. That's it. Touching a generator at all. You can tunnel a survivor to death in the first 2 minutes of the game. You can't finish 5 gens in the first two minutes of the game. Tunneling completely incapacitates a survivor and removes their opportunity to earn BP or PIPs. Doing a gen does not remove anything from the Killer...instead of provides them something to destruct and a place to find their next victim. Not. Comparable.
Again, not my rules. Just average expectations of average people playing a game they also want to enjoy. And just so we're clear - my assertion that everyone should be able to play and enjoy the game is consistent between when I play Killer and when I play survivor. I don't camp/tunnel when I play Killer. If a Killer isn't have a good time in a match - I have no problem dying to help ensure they meet their daily/challenge and earn decent BP with a higher chance to at least safety PIP. This is not a one way expectation.
It boggles my ######### mind that you suggest people play a game in a fair way so that everyone can enjoy it and people actually refute that concept.

No, "grown up adults" would understand that this is a game. A game played in opposition to an opponent or opposing side.
A "grown up adult" would understand that it's not your opponents responsibility to follow rules that you made up.
A "grown up adult" would take a loss and move on.
A "grown up adult" wouldn't tell you all about the tantrum that they'll have if you don't follow their made up rules.
You are right. A grown adult would understand this is a game meant to be fun for everyone who paid their hard earned money to play it. And would play in a fair way so that everyone can enjoy themselves.
A grown adult would understand that it's not their responsibility to ensure anyone's fun - but would be kind enough to endeavor to do so anyway.
A grown adult would accept a fair loss and move on with a GG, as I always do, when people play like normal grown ups, not petulant children with a weak moral compass.
A grown adult wouldn't throw a tantrum at all, you're right. They'd explain in a calm and collected manner, like this thread, how your childish behavior is ruining a game that would really be fun and enjoyable for everyone if people just weren't #########.

I will just say this, not really anything related to the previous topic and discussion but...
Some people play this game to win, so that means doing the most "boring" tactics possible to easily secure a win.
Not everyone has to care if the other side has fun or not, I know I just play as optimally as I can without really thinking about on whether or not the other side has fun.
This has nothing to do with empathy, it's just me and several other people playing to win.
DBD isn't a competitive game, yeah, it is casual to the core. But a lot of people, myself included, play to win, and is there really something wrong about that? Wanting to win in a video game?
If it means you employ tactics that you know actually ruin someone's else's game, rob them of any opportunity to even play and have any fun, or present you with a fair and enjoyable challenge? Yes, absolutely.
There is no joy or honor to be had from winning a game by playing cheap and disabling people from even presenting you with a challenge. That's not an accomplishment. I can't even fathom a situation in which it would be remotely fun to kill survivors when I know they have zero chance of evading me or challenging me in any way. That is like an Olympic athlete winning the Special Olympics. Did you win? Sure. Was it remotely fair or a rewarding challenge in any way? Not really.
It makes absolutely no sense why you would desire to derive such a surface level of enjoyment, while knowingly ruining the game for other people.

Much like your rules, you literally made up every element of this post. I couldn't care less what survivors do. I've said that time and again.
"Gen rush" if you want. It's your objective. I can't fault that.
Suicide on the hook if you want. That just means you concede.
Disconnect and you're breaking the rules, but that's your problem.
It is not the survivors job to ensure that I pip, or have a good match. For me to expect such a thing would not be "the golden rule", it would be the absolute pinnacle of entitlement.
Gen rushing cannot be compared to any of the behavior being discussed in this thread. Its not remotely comparable. So I'm not sure why you'd even bring it up. Running out of tunneling arguments?
I, and every other survivor who doesn't feel like rewarding unskilled players with mutliple hooks, WILL continue to suicide and move on. Because just like camping and tunneling, it's well within the confines of the rules to do so.
No one said anything about disconnecting. Again, just running out of things to talk about?
And no, expecting people to play a game fairly so that everyone can enjoy themselves is not your favorite buzz word: entitlement. It's what normal, empathetic grown ups give and expect when they approach pretty much any aspect of their life that involves interacting with other people. You clearly lack empathy and any interest in winning a game fairly or enjoying a match with others. That's fine. Treat actual human beings like NPCs and play the sweaty, toxic matches of your narcissistic dreams. :)
Just don't come here and cry when people check out of your sweatfest and post the very true complaint that that play style is cheap, absurd, and ruins the game for the majority player base in this community. 👍️

"Gatekeeper - awarded for slowing down gen progress" - Dead people can't do gens.
"Devout - awarded for killing survivors" - Killing people tends to involve killing people. Crazy.
"Malicious - awarded for hurting, downing, and interrupting survivors" - Downing people tends to involve hitting injured people. More insanity, I know.
"Chaser - awarded for finding and chasing survivors" - Winning chases involves hitting you. Absolute madness!
Wow, that was so hard. Funny how your own points disagree with you.
The rest of your post is just drivel about "true skill" and other made up rules in your mind. You wrote a novel just to tell the world that you're not interested in playing this game, you're interested in playing a version of it that you fabricated in your imagination. A version where people aren't "skilled" if they don't follow your rules.
You're the exact same player that whines about "no-skill sniping" in CS:GO, or "no-skill rushing" in StarCraft, or "no-skill blocking" in fighting games. You're the person that everyone gets tired of playing with because you just refuse to play the game in front of you because you're too busy writing new rules to push on people.
My own points don't disagree with me at all. You just clearly like to tunnel people off hook because you lack the skill to play the game like a normal human being - so this conversation makes you uncomfortable and the only way you can cope is to try and tie everything back to "NUH HUH! KILLERS GOTTA KILL!".
That's fine. Be a tunneling idiot.
Just stop crying here about people who suicide out of your matches and post about the unfair state of camping and tunneling, because it's not how this game is designed to be played - contrary to your skewed view of reality.
You have absolutely no idea what kind of player I am, clearly. :) I assure you, people would much rather play with me as Killer than you. I don't have to camp and tunnel people to win a match. I pretty much never get post-game salt. And I always endeavor to make sure people have a fun, fair game. I'm sorry you're not human enough to understand that empathy and respect for people's time and enjoyment of a game they want to have fun in as well is what is best for this community.
By all means, continue to be a toxic douche. People will continue to suicide out of your matches and provide you with spicy post-game chat until eventually camping and tunneling are no longer the most appealing way to play this game. You're right, the choice is yours. 😉

Thats the part that always confused me. If youre not being chased youre literally just holding a button watching a status bar tick by. People say all the tine that the chase is the fun part of this game. So if thats true shouldnt the tunneler be the one having the most fun? And if they did keep the killer busy while 3 or 4 gens got done, wouldnt that them the flippin mvp, the games basically over at that point. Shouldnt they be happy about that?
I play a lot of survivor, ive never once gotten mad at the killer
Except if you're the person getting chased the entire match you will get very few BP and only maybe safety PIP. This game is not designed to be held up by 1 survivor doing 100% of one objective the entire match. So no. That's not fun when you get out of the match and your efforts are not justly rewarded even though you were the better player.

Lay off the caffeine for a minute, Mister Furious.
Again, you're just blaming the killer for killing people. You don't ever even articulate what you think the killer should be doing. All you do is tell them what not to do. Which is basically everything under the sun, in every thread.
"Don't be near the hook."
"Don't go back to the hook."
"Don't hit injured people."
"Don't chase someone you chased before."
I mean, if a killer is in range, in what world do you think they're NOT going to head back to the hook when the sound goes off? At least half the team is verified to be there now, what do you think the right play here is? No, I'm not asking about your imaginary rules, I'm asking what you think the killer should be doing most of the time in that situation?
You tell me to "learn to play" and yet you absolutely ooze the mentality of someone that doesn't want to play the game, they want people to play by the special rules they invent in their head.
I have never said I 'blame the killer for killing people'. Nor have I implied it.
I don't have a problem with Killers killing people. Its a core part of this game. I don't have a problem with dying. I die sometimes and it's perfectly justified because I made mistakes or the Killer was just overall a better player than me. I have a problem with Killers when someone with no game skill can eliminate me or my teammate from a match because camping and tunneling are an option and require no actual skill to accomplish.
I don't blame Killers for much of anything - I require them to be accountable for their actions. Blaming tunneling on survivors is just a gamer variety of victim blaming, and it's a shallow excuse for poor sportsmanship. I understand why camping and tunneling are allowed. In end game - they are essential tools. In end game, there are also no other objectives.
Killers are expected to, and the game is designed for them to, play to their objectives - ALL of them. That's why there are 4...which means focusing solely on killing people is only 25% of the objectives. But everyone benefits far more, and games are much more enjoyable, when Killers play to meet all of their objectives. Killers get better BP and are more likely to PIP. Survivors can meet their objectives and are also more likely to PIP and get a reasonable amount of BP. That is why when Killers ignore 75% of their objectives survivors show up here and complain - because their match is ruined and their objectives cannot be completed - even if they're not the ones getting camped and tunneled. It is also why when Killers get 15k on a 4k and don't PIP, they come whining here about how ranking as Killer is just so darn hard...even though if they applied nearly the same tenacity to just playing the actual game mechanics, they would likely have a much better result.
In case you didn't know, those objectives are:
Gatekeeper - awarded for slowing down gen progress
Devout - awarded for killing survivors
Malicious - awarded for hurting, downing, and interrupting survivors
Chaser - awarded for finding and chasing survivors
What a killer should do - and what skilled killers do - is play to all of these objectives. Patrol gens. Damage gens. Find survivors. Chase survivors. Hit survivors. Destruct palettes/doors. Down survivors. Hook survivors. Lather rinse repeat. It's not rocket science. People who choose to ignore 75% of their objectives to tunnel someone out of the game because they lack the skill to fulfill their objectives otherwise or are blatantly salty about their own poor choices are not "killers killing people"...they are twats trying to hide their incompetency or mend their bruised ego.
Everyone, survivors included, should be playing this game by the golden rule: treat others as you would want to be treated. This rule is not a law in our society. It is not a written rule that people have to be kind to one another. But it is one of the most important social constructs in our society. It is taught and reiterated to you throughout many different mediums all throughout your life. It's not "made up"...its a social norm. As is evident by this post, Killers wouldn't want to be tunneled out of the game. So don't do it to other people without just cause or reason.
It's not a hard concept. It's not an unreasonable request.
-
A fair way to use moris: just don't tunnel mori people.
That's it.
That's my biggest irritation with the whole mori situation. The idea that a Killer can eliminate someone from a match before they even get to touch a single objective because of bad spawn RNG and a tunnel-hungry killer.
It's sad when a QoL adjustment is as simple as "don't be a dick" and so many cannot manage it.

I never said that you'd never get caught. Nice strawman.
Also, the killer doesn't control any part of the situation when it comes to unhooking. (Except a facecamping Bubba, I guess) If your team is unhooking you in the killers face without all the proper defense, that's the survivors fault. If you can't move away and hide without getting tracked easily after an unhook, that's the survivors fault.
You sure as hell aren't being "tunneled" for "being too good". That's for sure.
Stop blaming killers for killing.
Except, it's quite literally what you said: "If you were that good, you wouldn't be getting caught enough to whine"
...of course you would, because you should be getting caught every match unless you're matched with an under-skilled Killer. So you would have the opportunity to whine about it every. single. match. because it's a rampant play style. 🙄
None of what you described is the UNHOOKED survivor's fault. NONE of it. If a Killer proxies a hook to return for off-hook with the full intent of tunneling (which happens ALL THE ######### TIME)...no one has control over that EXCEPT THE KILLER. A survivor who goes in with the TR is gone and is mid-animation when the TR comes back has ZERO CONTROL over the tunnel. In that VERY FREQUENT situation there is ZERO opportunity for the unhooked survivor to "move away" and hide without getting caught. Noises are louder. Blood stains. Scratch marks. Whispers. You have to be ######### kidding me. You clearly never play survivor.
Abso-#########-lutely no one "blames killers for killing"...we call killers to the carpet who play like complete ######### douchebags, which is a category you obvious fall into, considering you cannot defend camping, tunneling, and slugging enough. Learn to actually play this game. It might shock you to know there are OTHER OBJECTIVES besides butt-######### survivors off a hook. Maybe look them up sometime. 👍️

@Bovinity said:
I love when people say, "I got tunneled because I put up a good chase." Well then you wouldn't have been "tunneled".
You got tunneled because either: 1) You're easy to catch. 2) Your teammates farmed unhooks without caring about your safety.
It's one or both. It's not because you're so good. If you were that good, you wouldn't be getting caught enough to whine about some imaginary tunneling.
Your logic makes absolutely no sense. As if Killer's don't return to hooks to tunnel survivors that out play them with long drawn out chases.
If a survivor gets tunneled it is 100% always because a Killer chose to tunnel them. Can another survivor make that easier for the Killer by doing an unsafe off-hook? Sure. Can the Killer return to the hook as the off-hook is happening and give the survivor no real choice? Sure. But it is not the fault of the off-hooked survivor that they were A) camped or B) tunneled, when they did nothing but play the game normally. The choice to tunnel is 100% on the Killer. And absolutely happens because Killers get bent when they choose to waste their own time on a single survivor for a long period of time.
The idea that a survivor is only good if they don't ever get caught is extremely ignorant. This game is completely designed for survivors to get caught. The last patch - one of the biggest change patches ever implemented - was specifically meant to make that even easier for Killers. In addition to every other advantage killers have in a chase: faster movement speed, ranged or immobilizing abilities, survivors have limited resources or limited use of static resources, Killer latency + hit priority making unsafe palettes pretty useless...give me a ######### break. Survivors are SUPPOSED to get caught. Pro survivors get caught ALL THE TIME. If there was a way for survivors to fully out run every killer, every time, there would be no game.
FFS. SMFH.

To complete let's talk about the new perks. Survivors receive good perks. Killers receive ######### perks. Not only for the 3.7.0 patch but even for the deathslinger that have no good perks

I haven’t played survivor in a while as I’ve mostly been doing killer matches. I started playing some survivor again tonight as a friend I haven’t played with in a while invited me. I’m playing Jeff and I in no way play toxic as I know how annoying that is to go against as a killer. But almost every game I’ve been tunnelled straight off the hook just because I can put up a decent chase and it takes killers a while to down me. That’s if they down me at all. It’s so ridiculous. I’ve just had a Freddy literally push past other survivors to target me and me only. I’ll never understand that mindset. I don’t like using DS as I find it a waste of a perk, but it’s like I’m being pushed into using it again. It always seems to be Freddy’s that are the worst for it and I don’t know why as he’s one of the easiest killers to play in the game.
Yep.
My first match of the day today was against a trapper who, upon downing the first person, hooked them in the open and face camped them with insideous so BT wouldn't work. Literally just stood one foot from their face. Didn't go for the off-hooker. Just fully intent to camp and tunnel them if someone attempted an off-hook. It's not that you can't "just do gens" in this situation...it's that this just sucks the fun out of the game. :/

Only one survivor can be downed during the blackout. And it can be completely avoided with enough coordination between the survivors.
Yeah, but how is that fun? Just getting to be the unlucky one selected by a Killer you cannot escape? Every blackout is an automatic hook with zero skill required. No thank you. Survivors want MORE SKILLFUL killers, not less.
-
Its not impossible to pip up - just play the game. If the highest survivor has 11k, you clearly didn't play to your objectives or everyone would have more pts. Simply killing survivors as quickly as possible is NOT how you pip. If you are that efficient at killing, you should have plenty of time in a match to max out your other objectives too.

So you find it funny and entertaining to ruin people’s game experience by watching them bleed out?.Your like a giant monster throwing cars at buildings who needs to be caged.
A LOT of Killers derive their enjoyment of the game out of the misery of others. Killer has a 'type'. LOL

I feel this when I play trapper.
Whenever I am a survivor and get trapped, I will struggle 13 times and never get out. LOL
Whenever I play Trapper I feel like people struggle 3 times max and they are out.
Clearly every trapper I face is using trap addons. LOL but it feelsbadman.

So can we talk about this. Literally just got out of a match against a camping bubba whose name was face camp sry. Like ######### is wrong with people (mainly bubbas) doing this there needs to be a hard penalty to face campers or even just a ban because it ruins people’s games. I don’t care about tunneling killer that much because you have chances, but a camping killer you have a small chance of escaping. So bhvr can you either a punish the killers who camp with a ban or something or make it so they can’t hurt survivors if they stay too close for X amount of time.
Agreed. Camping really does ruin the game. And not just for the person being camped. Its not good for anyone. All of the remaining survivors don't meet their objectives because the Killer isn't actually playing the game. And it's just not remotely fun. After the last player survey and Q&A, I have some hope that they are at least working on methods to make it less appealing. Here's hoping.

During the blackout survivors cannot see, are oblivious AND exposed, and the Killer can see in the dark, see where they're at, and run faster while everyone is exposed? No. So much no. That sounds like absolute balls for survivors.
Its an interesting concept, but this exact implementation sounds like bullshit. 😂
-
I will just meme and not death hook people. There's no reason why they could report you for it. They're able to finish their objectives and leave anytime.

🍑🍑🍑

YEAH, WHEN?!
😂

ANY survivor add-on.
With the exception of maybe flashlight batteries if you're into that sort of thing. I'm not.

I was playing solo queue, using Kindred + BT + We'll make it.
The killer: Hag. She camped everybody that she hooked but I saved all of them and than looped her until I lose her (she wasn't the best).
One gen left, Bill was on the hook (second stage), I was injured, other two survivors were healthy and doing separate gens. I begged both of them for being healed. Nobody healed me, they were too busy rushing gens. They let Bill die.
Once gates are powered, I opened one of them and left. Both survivors end up dying (one got hooked and the other died trying to save). Both of them complained that I left them. Oh the irony...
Oof
This is why I cannot wait for the rank system to be fixed and matchmaking to be fixed. I am tired of soloing with absolute potatoes.

I will find them. Trust me. I've become very good at it.
And if you are that good at hiding then I'm going to slug the third guy, find hatch, and close it. You're not getting out.
Oh and no matter how good you are at hiding, you can't hide from Whispers or Shadowborn. I run at least one of these on all my killers.
I play summer Jane, so it's not a problem for me. 😉

Keys help the Survivors win. Mori's help Killer's kill Survivors, but they actually cause the Killer to lose.
It's incredibly unbalanced because Survivors are rewarded for bringing a key which allows them to bypass the objective of the game (doing generators) and encourages them to let one or more of their number die (because that's the requirements for Hatch spawn), and then they're rewarded by getting the same Emblem bonus as if they had escaped through the exit gate.
Killers, on the other hand, are punished for using a Mori because it robs them of their Devout Emblem.
Furthermore: Keys can be found randomly in chests. They can also be protected from loss by addons (Weaved Ring & Milky Glass) and with offerings (White Ward), while a Mori is an Offering and so is guaranteed to be destroyed after use.
Now personally, I would be fine with removing both of these objects from the game. I hate getting Mori'd three minutes into the game because it encourages the Killer to tunnel. And I equally think that Keys are just busted. If you're going to have them though, why is the disparity between rewards given to Survivors who escape via Key and Killers who win via Mori so massive?
Keys don't guarantee pips or BP. Just an escape.
Keys don't allow you to bypass all of your objective. Unlike moris, keys require more work to be done the more people who are on a map. 100% at 4 people, 80% at 3 people, 60% at 2 people. Moris allow a Killer to do 30% of their job before killing survivors and it can be used within the first minute of the game and makes the match exponentially easier for the Killer, since we all know the fewer survivors on the map the less likely they are to escape.
Keys show up less frequently in bloodwebs than moris. I just recently did a test of this and this was my experience with 1MM BP spent. That included counting the two key-saving addons as a "key". So with the tiny chance to get one from a chest, the spawn rate is probably "equalish".
Killers garner more BP than survivors also, so the rate at which they can gain their offerings is higher.
If there is a disparity between keys/moris, it isn't that keys are more rewarding, or easier to use, or easier to get. Sorry.

Congrats on being why Blendettes do what they do. May you forever be locked into a match with Blendies you can't find. 😂

mmmm cookies.
I think it could be fun to have a simulator or bot type matches for both sides to get folks started. :) Good idea.

You're acting like there should no leaver penalty. This is not a healthy perspective. If anything, I believe hook suicides should count as a disconnect and increment your penalty.
It's working as intended, and the time penalties decay as others have said. Just make sure you have time to play a match before you queue up! Matches take maybe 15 minutes at most unless something's gone really awry, which is not an unreasonable block of time.
We all know what you think about hook suicide. 😂
-
Yeah, they should reset fully after 24 hours, IMO.

Cool stats 👍️
I would love to do this too :)

1) No one is abusing DS. They use it as it was designed to be used. If it was abusive, it would already be changed. It is meant to allow survivors to be bolder for a whopping minute.
2) If Killers don't want survivors to have "60 seconds of immunity"...just. eat. the. 5. second. stun. and. down. them.
Nothing about DS needs to change.
-
"To compensate for these repeated nerfs" ...the only 'nerf' you listed was Ruin.
Hex perks are still used with frequent regularity, so your argument that they are "no longer worth using" seems incorrect.
In addition, totem placement was changed quite a bit. While over time it becomes somewhat predictable, it has gotten a lot better.
I think this is an interesting concept, but I don't think Killers currently need this level of buff. Hex totems are higher risk, higher reward for a reason.
-
I would agree. My only issue is that I did a test between keys/moris the other day and moris came up more in my bloodweb as Killer than keys and their key-saving addons on my survivor, for the same amount of BP spent. Both should be ultra rare like their color suggests. I wouldn't mind purple keys being changed to only let out 1 person and iri keys be the ultra rare ones that let out everyone, if the rarity was true on both sides. I see moris used a hell of a lot more than keys.

From my last game, at that.
Another "red rank SWF that brought a lowbie so they get matched against low killers." group.
Yeah, survivors are always looking for those good games. 😂
As if there aren't a million examples of Killers posting this exact same garbage. 🙄 There are always THOSE people, on both sides.

There should never be an area that can't be mind gamed. Ever.
Just because this person couldn't mind game it, doesn't mean it wasn't mind-game-able.
What should NEVER happen (EVER) is a killer-player who is incapable of catching a survivor sticking to them for over a minute and a half, while they get looped to hell, and then coming to the forums and blaming the map design for their chase...not their own choices.

.ttv’s are streamers that usually bring 3 of the strongest loopers on their friends list and then go out and actively bully killers.
Mori’s stop them having fun
Lmfao
I wish this was true.
TTVs are streamers who usually bring their potato community members - anyone who joins their play queue - who get undue tunnel mori'd because that's the reality of this game. 😂
Unless you're talking about pros, who - as far as those I have watched - usually play random solos. 🤷
