BT

Right now bt has no drawbacks making it a carelessly used perk when inside killers tr due to survivor getting off the hook for free and even tanking hits for other injured survivor nearby and very powerful in endgame. One change it could have is when used by unhooker and giving the unhooked survivor bt each time they would take off 15 seconds off their stage the next time they go on the hook and they would not be unable to use the perk when they are on death hook.

    Or you could... not camp??

Lol. Because 90% of the time bt is used when killer is camping and not as soon as survivor is hooked or another survivor is running to the hook with bt while being chased by the killer. Straw man.

Yes... It is used 90% of the time when Killers are camping...

Oh right I forgot...the killer is still on the map after hooking a survivor.

  • A break from what?

If the killer doesn't camp there is no point to hook-dive in front of his face and screw over an entire team. Unsure about what? And I can clearly see from the points you've provided why you're against any change that would negatively impact survivor, rather then make game more fair. Maybe try to play both sides? Might help.

  • Obviously don't play enough. But here is a few examples to help you understand how bt is usually used:

Example 1: Killer hooked Meg who was working about 20m away from the hook on a gen with Bill . Killer starts going after Bill who is still on the gen. Knowing he doesn't have anything to run to and will go down fast Bill turns around and runs at the killer towards the hook to get a bt save and a trade.

Example 2: Killer has 2 survivors hooked and 2 mia, goes to check on the gens. Killer walks away to patrol the gens and finds one of the survivors trying to rush gens for the last 30-45 seconds while the 2 have been hooked and then he runs to the hooks with bt while being chased by the killer to get them just before the next stage.

Example 3: Killer immediately starts chase with a second survivor(who is injured after hooking the first one. Survivor has nothing to run to except the closest tile where the current survivor is currently hooked. He goes for a few loops and after throwing down a pallet saves hooked survivor with bt while killer is breaking the pallet.

  • In all your examples, one person trades their life for the other's.

I do this a lot, not quite as blatantly since I'm trying to survive but it often ends up like that. I can tell you my survival rate is close to 20%.

I know I'm usually only buying someone 10-20s as a last ditch attempt to save them, but I hope for that one out of every few where they manage to get away and survive.

    I die.

Somehow that means BT is overpowered and you lost-?

BT really doesn't need any changes. If somebody unhooks in front of you then you should ALWAYS go for the person that unhooks. That way you avoid BT and DS,that most survivors use anyway.

  • Survivor main nerf freddy nerf nurse nerf billy neef doctor nerf mori nerf noed nerf iri heads nerf anything thays good for killer

Survivor dont touch ds dont touch bt dont touch comms dont touch adrenaline don't touch anything good for us

Yes, you get a trade. But you lose all your map pressure, because nobody has to get off the gens now and now they have a minute before newly hooked survivor hits the next stage, while the person with ds goes straight on a gen for a minute instead of healing or looking for a teammate to heal them.

  • BT is a bandaid to fix "legit killer strategies". Its not supposed to have drawbacks for making the game playable.

There isn't any map pressure lost because of a trade.

A teammate would still have to go off a gen in order to save the hooked person.

You even gained a bit more pressure because now you have 1 hooked survivor and 1 injured survivor.

Even if BT wouldn't exist, downing the unhooked survivor instead of the survivor that unhooked isn't a good strategy because the unhooked survivor will most likely have DS anyway that would completely destroy your pressure.

Except before you'd have 1 person hooked, 1 in chase and one coming in for a save.

Without bt ds person can just be slugged for even more map pressure.

I...Still don't see the problem as killer here.... Don't you kind of want the survivors to be potatoes??

And this still doesn't explain why BT needs a change..

What about using bt this way is being potato? It allows you to do the opposite - you to recover from mistakes and you do something another survivor would have to come over and do, with you ending up on the hook in both cases.

Well you are a right on that one,i agree.

But i think it's still a necessary perk to combat camping and tunneling killers.

There is ds for anti-tunneling already and if you go up against a camping leatherface, Billy or huntress bt is not gonna help you there. In order to combat camping, camping itself needs to be addressed. Like extending survivor's hook stages by a certain time if killer spends over "X" amount of time next to the hook, in order to give others time to do gens and get out. Leaving killer with 1 kill, 6-7k bp and a depip

  • BT is not carelessly used. Its strategically used. It already has the condition of needing to be in the Killer's terror radius to activate, making it a risky save to begin with that doesn't guarantee the off-hooker any safety. It's fine as is.

Well BT is the only free anti tunnel perk.If you want to have DS then you will have to either buy Laurie or get lucky enough to get it in the shrine.

But yeah,if the devs would address camping then BT could be changed a bit aswell i suppose.
