There is no reason to complain about camping or tunneling in DBD.
Survivors complaining about killers doing their objective is like a killer complaining about survivors doing generators.
I just had a game where I had a nancy teabagging and flashlighting me at every pallet. I downed her, camped her to half, then tunneled her straight off the hook into dead.
She was gone by the time the game was over(I checked to see if she still had a ping), and the other survivors complained to me about it. "Is it Brooklyn or Manhatten that has the biggest tunnel?" I said nothing, left the lobby, and one of them just gave me a new -rep for it. Not that I care, but still. That's how petty the game is.
Umm that was justified though.

No not really. I usually don't say anything in the endgame chat. The same people who cry on my profile are the same people using all the survivor meta perks, key swapping at 6 seconds, offering haddonfield/ormond, teabagging with object, and having profiles where they say like "leave salt LOL" or something similar.
Playing killer to win is enough to get boatloads of hate mail. And like I said, even if you play by the survivor rulebook, people will still find something to complain about. So I usually don't bother unless I am going out of my way to farm BP.
I never complain when I lose a game of DBD, most of the time I don't even stay to the endgame screen if I died as survivor. Which is why it's funny to me that so many people do. People will sit there and wait like 6-7 minutes until a game is over to spew some salt when they could have played an entire other match by that point.
Being accused of camping only happens when I needed to or I actually did it because toxicity and its NEVER that common

We were specifically talking about end game chat. Not behavior in the game. When I say you only experience half of the toxicity, obviously I'm talking about the survivor half because you're fortunate enough to not have experienced it from killers.
Keep twisting the conversation though, I'm tired of repeating myself.
Feng min outfits which is your style? Only true feng mains answer this correctly.

@DaKnight said:
It's honestly normal. If you win in this game as killer, survivors are going to complain. It doesn't matter how you do it. You can play nice, you can play mean, the salt will flow if you win. You will be insulted if you lose. You can turn off the endgame chat or steam comments but I leave them.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IP0RBFFRNP9J/spooky-png.png
I get a TON of camping / tunneling complaints when I am playing pretty nice. If I hook someone, go across the map, hook someone else, then come back and hook you again, it's not tunneling sorry. Only like half of them are legitimate.
The other half of the comments that people post are just total lies.
"Whines about keys" when I just tunneled out the key user and slugged the rest after they swapped to it at 6 seconds and never said anything in that endgame chat.
"Enjoy depip" when the guy rage DC'd and I got Ruthless killer.
"BMs all game and camps for no reason" His SWF sent me to haddo, I am gonna BM and camp the heck out of anyone I get.
"-rep camp" when I am playing Hag and got 2 people in the basement early. I guess I should just walk across the map, let all my traps get triggered, and then let them unhook and reset for free.
And that's just this week. I recently had someone spew like 10 lines of salty comments because they exploited by sitting under the hook (so you can't pick them up) and then my response was to just facecamp the hooked person and them at the same time. They spoonfed me a win then cried about it.
I have had people say I am using Instadown / Exhaust add-ons on clown (why would you ever run those together) when I had 6 bottles of bleach that game, etc etc.
Ok you rekt yourself. You get bad messages because you invoke them

When killers do say things, it's usually after he got bullied by toxic survivors.

I feel im not getting better as a survivor and I am losing chases a lot lately. Any tips in order to get better?
Run perkless honestly. And when you loop pay attention to red stain. Find the areas that you can see the red stain at each direction and you can then keep looping jungle gyms. At shack stop running and wait a couple feet away from window and when they actually come inside that's when you start sprinting for a fast vault. If they try and come around you can fast vault back at the right time to screw with the killer and you can run at the wall and turn last second to bait a hit. You can fast vault windows with little space if you dont turn your camera and just turn your character. Dont get chased first because killers usually juggle 2 player and if you let the killer see you every time you will get better but once you get good killers you will usually be first to die. Ik how to loop an all but with unreliable teammates I have to try Nd get points before I start just running and making everything obvious. So if the killer is by you go ahead and avoid them but once you get points and the match is at the halfway point always try and be chased
-
@Ace_Ventura said:
I get what you're saying, but just like everyone else is saying, just break the wall.
I do agree with @ScottJund on the matter of breakable walls, though. Killers time is 4x more valuable than a survivors time. It should be them using their time building the walls, not the killer having to use their time breaking them.
Ok let's have survivors build walls and we will make Infinites constantly. So how is that smart. Badham and the basement house will never have walls and a swf will easily control the match if they decide what walls are uo

I am pretty good at the game though. I don't mind being chased first because I'm good at it and can buy my teammates a lot of time. But when I'm chased first which happens a lot, and all three teammates are waiting to unhook and heal me instead of doing any gens because of a challenge, it destroys the game.
My main issue is when I get chased first I die first. I am either getting hit through crap or just deadzoned. It's like a 50/50 when I just wanna show my looping skills and then just farm/camp/Badhit it kinda makes me feel like a bad player but that's just my lack of confidence.

I get that, but it just seems like people wanna downplay her or something. Hell the best nurse I've gone against was console and I had to have a hatch escape ON GIDEONS funny thing is he was rusty and I went against him before for the first time on that SAME map. In that case I'm really not sure what your point is. If died when he was no longer a baby and he was resurrected, his body is as old as Charlotte's and he has at least a child's mind. Once we're dealing with supernatural resurrections and stuff it's not even necessarily a fair assumption that Victor's mind is the same as when he died unless that's explicitly stated, but at a minimum we can say he is not a baby.
My point was he wasn't her age but a kid. If I called him a baby which I'm sure I didn't then I must not have been thinking when I was typing

What I said isn't an opinion. They are conjoined twins. Being twins, they are the same age. Charlette's body was the one that developed, while Victor's lagged behind. None of this is up for debate—it's all factual.
Did you by chance read the post? If you did then you'd realize he DIED, AS A KID and then was resurrected. When you die your body does not age and therefore he can not be the same age as her. His husk may be, but development and brainwise that is a no go and because he was revived you can't count the years he was dead as his age. It is dumb to do so.

Im not a killermain or survivor main: I play both on red ranks, but you can trust me, it was not fun for killers.
Most good killers don't rely on bloodlust. They break pallets that need to be broken.

She's strong ofcourse but i feel people put her on the top with little to no thought. People only think about god nurses that end matches in 5 minutes.
And the only god nurses i've ever seen are the people who play this game for a living who can also 4k with perkless addonless trapper with little effort. And it's not recently too
A spirit in my oppinion can do most things nurse can do with half the effort and with not nearly as manny bugs.
Its almost like nurse requires skill

I agree I've made it to red ranks multiple times and I still haven't found that godlike nurse that you hear in the legend. Maybe its not a legend and more of a myth.
Because lack of players. There are good nurses who only lose to gen rush. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they aren't real. Marth88 or whatever his name was and blinkybill all sorts of people were KNOWN for nurse before they left the game. This isnt like god or Greek gods, this is a game.

Congratulations if you are joining the marines.
My experience this past week has been bad, mostly killer side, I've been trying my best to play the fair way but for me it has been nothing but survivors doing dumb plays because DS and then talking ######### endgame.
When I play survivor I've been seeing less braindead survivors recently which surprise me a lot tbh, more focus on gens and cleansing totems so my solo survivor experience has changed a lot this past week.
Dang nice, I tried playing huntress for my YouTube montage, but every damn time I get bad maps. I swear I am not kidding. I get pale rose against map and a key with hatch offering. Everybody sucks except for Jake with object of obsession and a map. Kill 2 and 2 escape when I should have got 3 kills at least, but they started hiding and ya know object was annoying and I made a mistake to chase him. I only did so when I believed I could catch him, but its oh well I should have camped a little bit, but I hate that so oh well.

Tunnelling is the strongest strategy if the killer confirms there is no DS/BT or has methods to negate either one.
I understand its ''toxic'' to some people and its un-fun, but I heavily doubt the survivors in that match wouldn't have rushed gens and abused strong loops if they had the chance.
If ds ub and bt didnt exist, killers would legit win a match faster than ever. Tunnel off hook and bam do it once more and 1v3 at 4 gens left almost 3 Nd then you now can not lose unless the people you go against are gods or you suck ass(hence why you played like that) and then you can just do the same over again, ruining everyone's game because you dont have to actually try.

well if that truely is your experience (which I doubt, more like confirmation bias) get some friends to play with or just quite playing survivor all together because apperently for you it would actually be nigh unplayable.
This is not my experience at all playing solo btw, most of my games are fine.
You do get the occasional (usually console) survivor just crouching around on the outskirts of the map (and actually surviving the match that way) but its rather rare.
Yeah in my cases iit's either pc players being toxic and ps4. Being trash, mainly cuz the bigger pools of players, I doubt that you can blame a platform for bad players. But yeah I agree it's hard to believe that people get constant bad games, but once it happens to you then you'll see. I have had it happen a lot, not everyday though so.

I took a long break from this game because the Tome just destroyed gameplay for me as a solo survivor. Hours and hours of playing and I couldn't get even one game where my teammates were actually trying to win. Nothing mattered but challenges. Now that the new level is available, I'm reminded again of how horrible this game is when you're literally the only person actually playing and not swarming every hook to get seven heals.
So, how do you put up with it? I feel like I'm just going to have to delete this game because with the Tome out, the game is never going to be the same.
Honestly Just getting good helps alot. Like when I started I thought it was bad but I loved the game. But I ended up getting good and now can rely on myself mostly, but I've learned to no longer let myself get chased first, it ends up me being juggled or tunneled or camped. So I try and get points BEFORE I get chased. As for teammates you just get used to it, or turn off crossplay. The people who turn off crossplay usually think other players from different platforms are bad and its usually the players that actually try to play. I turned it off a couple times and got great teammates.

Stop. Get some help.

@Yords said:
Why do inexperienced players hate it?
They hate it because it makes them feel helpless and is unfun. They also aren't good enough (due to lack of experience) to actually recover from these strategies. I know what this is like because I was once them, I used to hate camping until I played killer and understood when and when not to camp as well as why killers camp in the first place. They hate it because it ruins the fun for them (obviously) and I know you probably already know this, but I just wanted to explain why players despise the two strats.
Why do entitled players hate it?
For the same reason, as well as being entitled. I feel no need to explain this one now that I think of it. Anything is toxic to them.
For the record, they are strategies.
I hope you realize just about everyone hates it. I hate it and when the killers need to do it I hate it but at the end of the match and I calm down I understand and don't hold it against them. But this implies that good players dont care and If you hate it you are a bad or entitled player

How exactly am I supposed to avoid a ds with 30+ seconds on it when the'yre hiding in a locker. oh joy lost the game to an unavoidable perk with no counterplay if there in a locker YAY
Ds is counterable. Dont tunnel, slug or simply ignore them. If you weren't tunneling you wouldn't have screwed up And if you hooked someone quick enough you had pressure and should be on gen patrol. If I see a recent unhooked leave after I down someone I wont chase them unless they are close. The fact 2 gens popped during your chase is a testament to your skill or the fact you didnt pressure and chose your battles wrong.
-
I've tried that to see if it works and frankly a crosshair is kinda pointless. It helps you find the center of your screen but doesnt help you find angles or master huntress. You'll just know whether you're gonna hit that effing truck or hit the survivor but learning the middle of the screen isnt too hard.
-
@Katie_met said:
The issue with deranking to play huntress is that people play differently against her and it becomes very difficult very quickly. I deranked to practice huntress and I was getting easy 4K games because survivors would throw down pallets and vault windows which gave me free hatchet hits, and the majority of them ran in a straight line or moved side to side. Then when I ranked up, my games immediately changed because people actually looped around pallets and didn't throw them down to give me free hits. They also tend to bait windows and bait moving side to side.
And I'd say intentional deranking is ok just as long as you're not extremely cruel to the survivors.
Never. I feel bad for killers who get bad games and vice versa. If I dont have an item I want I will let myself die. Today I got wrecked as huntress on rotten fields and the last person left the gate and I caught her but they left her to die, so I gave her hatch

The tunneling? Sure that's scummy and incredibly unfun, but waiting for someone to start unhooking or waiting through BT isn't scummy. That's just her playing around it. Sucks that she used it to tunnel, but if it's being used aggressively then waiting out the timer isn't scummy. That's just my two cents though.
No I agree that its fair play. But I ran right into her and she didnt hit me she just wanted a grab. And at the point where we were we weren't getting out unless we had an amazing play. Like the annoying part was that she had an opportunity to hit me but let me get to the hook just to mess with us.

Loops are not a good measure of how much better you are than the killer. There are far too many loops which are big/easy to see over. The killer can do literally nothing except eat the pallet unless you are Nurse and spirit, and possibly a few others. There are more than enough pallets on most maps, which allows you to be safe and spend them early.
But to hone your reaction time and to learn how to run requires skill. Screw those short ass farm loops. Those don't take much skill im talking about using loops efficiently and chaining them. THAT takes skill. Wasting pallets and using cheap annoying filler pallets aren't that much skill unless you have good baits and reads on the killer. You get a whole team who barely ever drops ONE pallet and unless you are nurse you'd lose. To think that its easy is so wrong
