How should he be played?
-
I would prefer if they granted one stack for unhooks and another for safe rescues. Therefore making farming less reliable
-
Noed only triggers against bad survivors. It's a high risk high reward perk, you risk not having a perk the entire game. NOED has counterplay.
-
I think scratch marks also stopped appearing in taller grass.
-
Really? Things have gotten worse since this patch imo. After every blink it's like watching a slide show, I used to be able to stomach nurse but now my only hits are based off prediction. I can't reliably see anyone I hit.
-
@Poweas everybody hates it (except a handful of survivors). No one asked for it and it was already a meta perk. It was fine before the patch.
-
The huntress map is really dark now too.
-
Yellow- Absolute potato survivor teammates, 99% of the games I escape here are from the hatch.
Green-Amazing because I can actually rely on my teammates somewhat. Escape rate dramatics increases. -
The biggest rework the shrine needs is being placed in its' old spot. I hate not being able to see it in lobbies and having to go through the store, and there's just a blank space where it used to be.
-
Dang, I played a game as nurse and every time I blinked it was like watching a slide show. Hopefully they fix this asap.RWoodrow said:There will not be an optimization patch per yesterday's stream. They will be working on it in small doses going forward but there will not be a patch dedicated to optimiziation. -
@Nickenzie Those changes would put Legion in a really good spot. It would make him more fun to play as and against.
-
@HatCreature I was trying to type that quick before I got into a game. I forgot to mention that the tokens reset after feral frenzy ends.
-
Add a token system to his power. Everytime he hits a survivor in feral frenzy and adds deep wound to them he gets a token. Each token knocks off whatever amount of the timer. At 4 tokens his next attack instantly downs any survivor suffering from deep wounds. Tokens reset every time feral frenzy is ended.
-
I don't think I'm the first one or if this is common knowledge but I figured out what causes it. Swinging through a palley and getting a hit but also getting stunned.
-
Where have you been? Killers got nothing but nerfs this patch.
-
@Dreamnomad it's already as high as it can go. I'm not the only one complaining about visibility issues either. How? If BBQ procs/detects you now that's just plain stupidity on the survivors part. You don't have to camp for borrowed time to activate; I wasn't, I was chasing someone and they went for the unhook and for efficiency's sake/hpoked guy was being toxic I tunneled him off the hook. What weaknesses? BT has none. Once the exit gates are powered BT pretty much means a free escape. The devs were starting to make things better and actually make killer enjoyable (healing nerf, vacuum removal, vault nerf etc.) But then they hit us with this garbage. Killers got nothing but massive nerfs this patch (unless you count bug fixes).
-
@Dreamnomad I'm not quitting solely for the reason of flashlights. If you wanna cherry pick one quote out of my entire post go right ahead. I already mentioned I can barely see anyone (don't know if anyone else is encountering this problem). Can't chase off anyone if I can't see them. That's just as situational as dribbling is, it relies on survivors stupidity. I have to run a perk for something the survivors get for free? Awesome, that's perfectly fair.
-
I don't know if it's just me, but I can't see anything now.
-
I can't even stomach 5 games. First (and only) game as killer at rank 5(on ps4): Can't see anyone with dark clothing. Scratch marks disappear in grass. BT on all 4 survivors. Can't look up to counter flashlight saves. BBQ never finds anyone now. I'm done with this game.
-
Loading into my first game with him now. Will edit with how things go rank 5.
Edit: That was terrible. This killer feels worse than Freddy and not even fun to play as. -
@peanits I worded that wrong sorry. I meant what if the survivor only has to complete a short interaction if the Gen has been regressing for about 15 seconds. That way the killer has time to kick the Gen and then start searching the surrounding area. If the killer finds someone behind a nearby tree after 15 seconds they can no longer sprint burst back to the Gen and stop the regression mid chase.
-
@Wolf74 exactly. A short interaction that could take say 3 seconds would be helpful.
-
@Peanits what if the survivor only has to have an interaction say 15 seconds after the killer kicks it?
-
I'm using it now lol. Gotta grind out those blood points.
-
Do you stream? Or have a YouTube or something?
-
>get into English class
>everything is going good, hear a story about some chick getting ran over by a car (she's fine it was >10mph)
>everyone dies laughing, we start working on plagiarism
>I ask if I can go to the office if we finish early
>"JUST STOP. YOU WEREN'T HERE LAST FRIDAY AND YOU'RE BEING VERY OBNOXIOUS AND RUDE ABOUT IT. I'M SICK OF YOUR ATTITUDE."
>All 5 other people give me a look of "what happened"
>later on she calls me "distraction factory number one" for doodling angry eyes and a Hitler mustache on a lady.
Confusing but entertaining.
-
@Boss ty
-
As long as you get rewards from the highest you made it to regardless of where you finish. Because if not once people hit R1 they just won't play anymore.
-
Does the pain status effect stack with stridor? Or does stridor inflict it? Love all these ideas! Gives some useless perks usability.
-
No. I like the way it is now.
-
@Nickenzie sounds amazing! Is it me or does it seem like it would have good synergy with DH lol.
-
The biggest problem with the BT buff is nobody asked for it. Everyone agreed it was in a good spot. The reason so many killers are complaining is because the devs nerf a killer meta perk that already has I think 7 counters; but they buff a survivor meta perk.
-
I'm gonna buy the chapter but I think I'm done with killer. These changes have pretty much destroyed half the game for me. It really hurts because I've bought every chapter because I wanted to support the devs for making my favorite game, but these changes really shaft killers.
-
@DocOctober it's not directly punishing the killer. If a killer hard camps I doubt they planned on getting more than 1 kill. I'm trying to provide a way to speed up the process for both sides. Camping isn't fun for either side. This is just an idea. There is a middle ground and I play both sides I'm just trying to find it.
-
One of the devs put it there as a joke but forgot about it lol
-
Usually the mods take it down pretty quick. Why these forums though? Like the most viewed thread only has like 1.2k views.
-
@powerbats I don't want easy games. I want winnable games. I don't recall saying that solo survivors can't, can you quote me?
I also don't recall saying solo survivors don't know how to work on gens by themselves. Do you have a quote from me saying otherwise? If so I apologize and retract my earlier statement.
What am I blaming? The objective time imbalance? Go ahead, enlighten me. How can I adapt? What can I do to play more optimally? Give me some suggestions I'm all ears. Also it's not like depip squad depipped over 90% of killers or anything like that without perks (IIRC, don't remember exact percentage).
Ok? I dodge some lobbies. Sue me. I play the game to have fun occasionally just as I try hard occasionally. For the record, I never dodge because of items. FD exists for a reason.
Awesome, I'm sure those survivors returned the favor of you not dodging by playing non-toxic. I've faced good survivors as well. I genuinely enjoy getting 360'd because it does take skill (not sarcasm) I enjoy facing someone who can use dead hard effectively. I enjoy so many things about this game. But I also don't enjoy some things.
I try to as well. I've come a long way since my first game as killer. I keep getting consistently better, and with this I also understand some mechanics are unfair. I'm going to voice my opinion, I want civil constructive debate. If I get proven wrong I'll rethink my stance(s) and either change my mind or come up with better arguments.
Everyone is gonna play solo, 99% of the killers will mark that option in a heartbeat. The game would die because swf would never find lobbies.
I don't want swf removed, I want the game balanced around them so each side can have fun. -
@Turtlesrock I Def will. I have been hoarding add-on for nurse and I have 10 ataxia respirations and 26 of the other one. Lol thanks for introducing me to this.
-
@Vietfox @Turtlesrock Honestly combining Jenner's last breath and "Bad Man's" last breath is broken. I've yet to get anything less than a 3k. Seriously though thanks for the advice I'm gonna try it lol.
-
@Theluckyboi I never said anything is wrong with the mechanics. It's a perfectly legitimate way to secure a kill. However, it is boring. It's not fun for either side (unless the survivor is toxic). I'm simply saying we should speed things up so it isn't so boring.
-
@Wolf74 I don't have a problem with incentivizing leaving the hook. What would you call it? It's not punishing the killer. It's getting the game over /killing the hooked survivor quicker. I'm fine with the debuff, but people are still gonna camp. I don't have a problem with the mechanics of camping, it just isn't fun for either side.
-
@DocOctober are you saying camping is fun?
-
@Wolf74 my aim wasn't to nerf/punish killers. It was to speed up the (boring) process of camping while still leaving it an option to secure a kill. I think the emblem penalty is stupid and should be removed (my mistake for not mentioning this). What can be changed, if anything, to make this appeal to you?
-
@DocOctober I think not having to camp the whole progress bar would be nice. The camped survivor can suicide without screwing over the team as bad. Is there any changes I can make to please killers/you? Camping isn't fun (unless the survivor was toxic), I'm trying to make a solution that keeps camping an option but not so boring.
-
@Rebel_Raven I'm not saying it's on the killer or it makes them bad for doing so. I'm just saying it's not fun to be camped. If someone is toxic they deserve to be camped. I agree, sometimes camping is the only way to get a kill (I've even made threads complaining about the BBQ nerf and BT buff). Gen rush is bad but it's going to happen regardless if you camp unless the survivors are bad or there is a DC. As a killer I would be fine with this because they die and I don't have to play "watch the bar simulator" as long.
-
I got baited into a warning from sony because of this. I was playing nurse and got a crazy lucky hit (it was legit but I didn't intend to do it lol) the survivor dc'd, made a group adding everyone in the game and said "node 3 cleanse the gens". This was when noed only applied exposed at level 3. (I was doing the blink inside the exit gates meme with insidious while trying to learn nurse). I got salty and called them a bad word lol I got reported and haven't done it since.
-
@PhantomMask20763 survivors would rather complain until that perk is nerfed into the ground. Oh wait...
-
@Dreamnomad
A.) Why not.
B.) It's not a fully fledged out idea yet. Just trying to see how everyone else would feel about this. -
@GodDamn_Angela I edited it to reflect the chaser penalty. I completely forgot that existed lol. How can I word that more clearly?
-
@Rebel_Raven Making it a perk shakes up meta for starters. Most forums on here I see killers (I play both btw, but I'm a lot better at killer) say that camping can be punished by Gen rushing. With this perk, camping can be punished effectively while still retaining it's usefulness in securing a kill. This only promotes Gen rush IF the killer camps. Did you read it all the way? Only when the killer is within 16m. Even now looking back on it I wanna add the change "if another survivor is within 16m the perk does not activate" so swf can't abuse it. Also this doesn't impact end game in the slightest.
