If the download time was really what was stopping people from playing PTB more, they would just use steam to make a backup of live/PTB version so you can switch without a download. Takes a bit of time to do but if you plan on switching around it saves time. What really stops people is progress is meaningless on the PTB.
Not for me. I always play the PTB to test the new things but I only play for a few days, because I want play in the normal servers after I've tested everything I wanted. If PTB could be separated from the original I admit I would play a little more on it.

Wish we could get some UI in the match for our actual progress of missions. It's really dumb that we actually don't have something simple.
-
Any corn map. I have cornblindness and I wish I could drive those tractors and rip every piece of corn in the map.
-
Yes that only happens with the Legion, I tested with Huntress with a friend. And the other effects are working normal.
-
It's not buggued anymore, I tested it now and its working fine.
When downing a survivor, for 15 seconds all other survivors will also suffer from the blindness status effect, so during that time they can't read any aura. Also maybe they buffed the perk so that even with aura reading you still need to be in the 16 meter range to see the aura.
-
It should only reveal the aura to the user, to be more balanced.
The best change for it on my opinion os: all skills checks gives the 3% bonus progression, not only when consuming a token.
-
Can you give us some context?

Umm... It is 50+9+12+33, which is 104, above 100.
No its not. Healing speed doesn't increase the raw value, similar to gens. Here's how its works:
Healing yourself with a brown med-kit will put 1.0 charges on your proggress bar, taking 16 seconds to fill it.
Self care heals you by 50% of the normal speed, so that means you're putting 0.5 charges per second, taking 32 seconds to fully heal.
Now with the perks:
Resilience: Grants 9% speed, so it will give 0.045 extra charges
Botany Knowledge: Grants 33% speed, it will give 0.165 extra charges per second
Desperate measures: With 4 survivors injured, it wil give 0.28 extra charges per second.
And self care: Will give 0.5 charges per second.
These values don't stack with others, it will get the original charge value(0.5).
The result: 0.045 + 0.165 + 0.28 + 0.5 = 0.985
So, with all these combined, you will be healing with 98%(0.98 charges per second) efficiency of a normal healing, and when in any action such as repairing/healing etc... if the charge Is less than the default one(1.0 c/s), the bar will be red.

It's just latency, everyone knows how it works.
I don't play DBD for some days but they disabled the hit detection system in the backend for now and haven't enabled yet. In the Killer's screen you were very close to the window, and with the hit detection disabled, the server will accept anything the Killer client sends, without checking it. So for now, we just need to wait until they fix the system and enable it again.
It's also a obvious thing. If you notice you're getting bullshits hits and your ping is green, you know it's the Killer bad connection, so play safe, don't take windows and drop pallets early.
-
I think it needs to be louder. Working on generators is easy so now it requires more awareness than just listening to ghostface cloaks ir similar noises.

That's pretty much what I've experienced even after that 60 tick rate refresh and "hit validation" fix. I mean we all gotta live with it for now as BHVR has a crap load of other bugs they gotta fix now as they keep breaking things like hooking, Terror radiuses, vault noises among other things
They didn't enabled the hit validation yet, they just changed it.
As for the OP, people just seems to don't realise what latency is.

I approve the remove of Keys and Morys. Until then, everytime I see a Key on my lobby = Mori.
-
Yes it is. It does expose the survivor but you don't get the bubble notification.
-
Lol serious people care about ranks? I stopped caring about it when I had like 600 hours

Nice attempt at bait but doesn't look like you're catching much. Next time you troll, don't be so obvious about it and you'll get more hits. GG better luck next time.
Ty, next time I'll do better.
-
Need to bump this again. With the next patch, this issue isn't fixed yet. But the timer to reset Traps changed from 00:10 and 00:40 to 00:16 and 00:46.
-
Killers are just our toys to play with and make fun of them. Don't treat them like they're human or something.
-
In other words: "I refuse to learn to play against Bubba, I don't know how to abuse his weakness(windows) and I don't drop pallets and run to to dead zones because I like giving the Killer free downs".
This post is bait right?
-
What? What does using a strategy says about someone's life in a video game? I think you're the one having bullying issues in real life. You're just upset because you're bad and can't accept the fact he is better than you, so you need to throw bad arguments to them to make your ego feel better.

yes my IRON WILL is lvl 3 but hi not working
Can you give more info? For example what Killer you were facing(maybe they had stridor), what character you were using and what perks besides Iron Will.

That's terrible and makes him even more handicapped than he is if so. Not being able to jump into a chase in a narrow corridor or because I am hugging a wall is bad. Someone tell me this is a bug and not intentional please.
Well I'm with you. I watched some streams and they ocassioanaly talked about not being able to use his power on these situations.
-
I guess that's what they really want, filling the bloodweb with junky useless offerings.
-
"I have found". Errrr, not really. Fast vault build isn't something new, everyone knows about it.
If you manage to loop for 4 gens with these perks, it won't be because of the build, but the lacking of experience of the Killer you're facing. In no other world a good Killer will be looped for so much time.
-
Latency.
-
It does, but not in the way you're thinking.
-
Is your Iron Will tier 3?
-
It doesn't look like a bug, more like a QoL to his power. You need to be at least 3/2 meters from strutuctures.
-
Iron Will only works while you're in the injured state, that's not a bug.
-
I hate linked set, what's the point of cosmetics if we can't customize our characters the way we want. There's only 2 valid reasons for this, 1. They don't want to waste time and resources to fix clipping issues with other cosmetics, so they sell them together, 2. Money.

I have Nvidia Shadowplay which pasively records the screen and when I press alt f10 it saves everything from the past 5 minutes
Me too, it's very usefull, not only for reporting hackers, but to record your plays xD
Seriously, the back-end team didn't tought to archive match logs? They could just create a log in the database with the match id and its data. For example, when gens were done, when game collapse started, when a played got downed, if they had all this data, they could improve their report system and it would be effective. They just don't want to improve because they can, even I can make this, it's takes like one week to code.
-
I wanted Devotion rewards too. P3íng character isn't that hard. I wanted some reward for getting higher devotion, something to compensate you for playing so much.
-
Me too. The self-care animation is very strange, the character just wiggle his arms around his belly. They could add some changes like the character getting some bandages from their pockets and then self caring wraping it around, and when the bar is almost completed (like 95%) they just cut the bandage with their mouth.
-
Possible few cases:
- Your aura will not be hidden while you're in the animation, so if the BBQ activates and you're in mid-animation to enter the locker, your aura will show until the animations finishes.
- You took too long to hide after the BBQ proc.
- You leaved tracks that made it obivous you were hiding in the locker
-
Each person is different, you can learn some tricks by seeing others playing or read it elsewhere, but each person has their own playstyle. You should create your own based on your experience.
Take the tip from @azame and play no perks and record each match. Analyse your decisions that you considered bad and see what you've done wrong. This game is all about good and bad decisions, so the more you learn from your mistakes the better you get.
You will only improve by playing constantly AND analyzing your matches. If you just play bad and go to the next match without seeing what you've done wrong, you will never improve. We make decisions based on our experience in any game we play, so the more you learn about your mistakes, the better your decisions will be.
-
No? You can't generalize and punish one Killer that abused it while other needs to use it. On my opinion, while you're in the dying state, you should have an option to make your bleed-out timer go more fast by holding a button.
The bleed-out timer is 5 minutes, so by pressing the button, it could accelerate that timer by 80%.
-
When GF was released, there was no perk that allowed the Killer to switch Obsessions, I guess the main function of the perk is to just change Obsessions, but now we have better options. A rework could be nice, the effects of reduced TR in chases are useless.
-
Wait. What Killer were you playing and what was the survivors? And are you a console gamer?
-
Leatherface is strong now, especially the ones who use Bamboozle, you literally have no other choice except dropping pallets early.
I guess my main tips going against him is to abuse windows and LT-walls with pallets nearby it. If you're in a loop without a window, when he pulls his chainsaw, you will need to drop the pallet otherwise he will be able to catch your speed and down you.(try to do the most loops around the pallet before dropping).
Baby Bubba's probably will fall for the corners tricks and most survivors will just run around certain objects to make him go into Tantrum. That can work depending on the skill of the Killer you're facing.
Also some cool tricks you can do agAINST him(works against Hillbilly too), you can stun him on the pallet that is better than just dropping and letting him having a fast breaking animation, but that's very risky and only do that when you have a good ping.
-
Survivors refuse to learn to play against certain Killer and end up crying for nerfs, this was the case for Nurse(base) and BIlly(base). Both of them just needed a change in their add-ons, Billy right now isn't so bad, he's the same, but for Nurse, she's horrible to play.
-
She will probably receive the famous cooldown-bar that 95% of the Killer's have.

That seems pretty unfriendly to the player base if you ask me, I thought the whole reasoning behind giving all the past exclusive cosmetics was so that everyone was on the same footing and there wasn't any exclusivity.
Well one of the reasons they gave everyone the exclusives was because people were selling codes for custom cosmetics, besides that, I don't remember other reasons.
People in the event for summer bbq farmed a lot to get the costumes and now they just gave it for free for everyone, it's a slap on their face. I like exclusive cosmetics, it show how much you play the game and you deserve it. I don't think its fair to give limited cosmetics to other people for free, at least they should make you work for it, as a reward.
-
Yeah, I'm getting tired of the same challenge. This challenge is in almost all Tomes(if not all). Just ask for the community feedback about tomes challenge ideias.
-
I've seen something close to this. Yesterday I was playing against a Pyramid Head, he downed the survivor who was tormented, sended him to a cage, and then after the survivor teleported to the cage, he was dead(he used final judment).
This happended too in the Pyramid Head PTB's where he could send survivors that already got hooked one time to cages, and while the survivor was being sucked into the ground, he could mori them.

Precisely. Its also goofy how the "master" challenges are almost always objectively easier than the other ones with few exceptions.
Would like to see the fall from great height challenges scrapped as their just stupid and inconsistent. Activating Balanced Landing does not reward this which I thought it should. It seems like you NEED a map with a huge building to make any progress on this at all. Half the time i cant even get any progress because the map has nothing high on it.
Also I don't like challenges with dumb requirements like: Hook 12 different survivors. What I hate is the obligation to play 3 matches to complete one easy challenge, it just doesn't makes any sense. I'm all with you.
-
Like everyone else said, this has nothing to do with hitboxes. I think what could be happened there is a desynchronization with you with the server, and since the servers didacts what the other(including the Killer) sees, for him you were where you get the first hit, and after that, for some reason your client got desync with the server or for some other reason it didnt received your movements. or it could be the other way around, the Killer got desync.
This happes sometimes with me too, what happened to me was like: I was looping around a car(was the same map as you) and suddently the Killer stopped chasing me and started going against the edge of the map(???) and then from nothing I got downed. What happened there on my guess I got desync with the server and since the servers uses the last movements I was sending(running in a direction), on the Killer side and for the server I was running away from the loop in a straight line.
*EDIT: Conclusion: latency.
-
Yes. They could create a post about challenge ideas to allow us to give our ideas, and then select the ones who have the most vote ups and make a pool with them to select the most wanted.

its affected all ranged killers..deathslinger..plaque..huntress.
Not really. I tested with Huntress and it really doesn't register hits if you try to land a hatchet on them while they're like 3 meter of you.
As for Plague, I tested he Corrupt Purge too and it worked normally in all distances.
-
I haven't tested this but my guess is that they just used one simple way to detect the hits: If the survivor would receive damage, it will check if the Killer was too far or not, ignoring how he was damaged. Looks like they didnt coded it for Killers with ranged abilities to damage survivor.
Maybe this can happen with the Plague too?
-
Yeah, it should work when the Killer puts a survivor into the dying state at any time. Also I wouldn't mind removing the cooldown from it too, since already regressing generators doesn't get affected.
