You will never see less camping/tunneling/slugging until survivors stop being genrushing bots. The blunt fact of the matter is that gen speeds are wildly too fast and the only way to stop them is by actively subjugating the entire survivor team for snowball pressure, OR immediately tunnel someone to death as early as humanly possible.
Then perhaps DBD needs to have a fundamental change to its gameplay mechanics. Better that then to let a years old problem keep getting worse.

If they face camp they get negative emblem progression, which affects their rank.
For them to be 'hard face camping' and the one person that died to get 16k points is not a hard face camp. I've tunneled survivors to death with less than 1k points. I've also played a lot of games as survivor and not even breach 10k points.
As far as I'm concerned this was a good game.
I'm pretty sure the people that face camp don't care about negative emblem progression or rank. Its something that does nothing but ruin the game for survivors and discourages them from playing the game. Now if there were penalties for face camping that were more severe maybe we would start seeing less of it.

I personally think moris are seen as toxic by many survivors. Apart from that, I just think a lot of survivors are sick of the way a lot of killers play and that frustration kicks in and they just leave the match. People want to have fun and things can turn unfun fast in a match. Not saying you played any particular way OP. I'm just saying there are survivors that simply do not like how many killers play this game and find it not worth their time to stay in a match thats just going to make them hate the game even more.

Heh. Watch your blood pressure there champ. If I trigger you that easy, I can only imagine what the game does to you. The option to have casual games ALREADY exists for anyone who wants to use it. If people choose to disregard it, they have only themselves to blame. Custom game exists for people who want to implement (with like-minded folks) whatever rules they want, and try out whatever they want. So let me REPEAT: the mode already exists.
Getting angry at me doesn't in any way negate the points I've made. You said that the DEV should make a casual mode for people who want to play it. I've pointed out (and you are ignoring) that mode already exists. If people go into the Ques, they get whomever they get matched with and should understand that. If people don't like the heat, they stay out of the kitchen. The game provides them with an alternate way of playing.
To correct you, the mode exists if you have 5 people together who want to do that which also gives no experience or BPs. Its not the same as actually queing for a public match and getting matched with random people with rewards to gain. I have always said that DBD needs another game mode. Either a non rank mode or something where people can just have fun without having to worry about a sweaty killer that will do anything to protect that number by their name. The game DOES need a casual mode. It needs multiple casual modes. It needs something more for us to do with these character that the same old thing for years now. I have suggested a reverse roll mode just for fun (kill the killer for example) that I think everyone would find hilarious and have a lot of fun with. This constant rank incentive mode gets old very fast and causes so much frustration when you have all kinds of players being lumped into one game mode. Let the people who want to rank up play ranked and give something for us that don't something else to do.

We're tired of camping, tunneling, slugging and hook hitting killers. A better community starts with the community.

then you are weak willed and like I said entitled
Ahh the old "you're entitled" remark when someone only said they don't like playing against certain killers. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact some people value fun over points in this game right? Personally I don't think there should be any further penalty beyond depipping and losing points. If someone doesn't want to play against a certain killer they shouldn't be forced to in fear of being locked out of a game.
-
Why so many solo survivor complaints? Because killer mains expect me to bring the best loadout to counter theirs which I cannot see and to work well with a team I cannot communicate with and to "get good" and play according to the skill level of the killer which I have no idea how good they are. This by the way never happens.
-
Its rather unfair killers leave the third survivor on the ground often to find the last one knowing its a hopeless situation for them. Maybe if survivors had a give up option or had a way to pick themselves up without the use of a perk if left on the ground too long this wouldn't be a problem. I've always felt that if the killer leaves you on the ground for too long your character should naturally recover from it.
-
I've always wanted a reverse roll mode in DBD for just silly fun and laughs. The killer would have to do gens (obviously at a faster repair speed than survivors) with the goal of escaping the survivors who are out for a little revenge for all those hooks we've been thrown on. No ranking up. Just pure silly fun that everyone can have a good laugh at the end of the match. I think it would be a good thing for the game and something else for players to do that isn't all about the sweat and ranks.

Seriously. This is a competitive game whether you admit it or not. It has 2 sides each with an opposing objective so they compete. The complaint I keep seeing in various forms is "that's not fun for the other side" In any other game with a multiplayer, when has the other side give a damn about someone else's fun? Do you see people in fortnite, overwatch, CoD, They fall saying "you shouldn't do that. Not because it's effective but because it's no fun for me". Killer, survivor, doesn't matter. If you want both sides to have fun then the game cannot be competitive. If your not having fun move onto the next match or take Kote's advice and "Play something else".
Because if enough people on one side aren't having fun, you won't have that many matches anymore if enough of them quit. That is why I always say this game needs to be more fun oriented rather than just having the public match mode be ranked. You'll have a lot of people that care about rank and a lot of people that don't all playing together which just creates a divided community on what they want this game to be. I want DBD to be about fun. I don't care about rank. I don't care about pips. As long as rank is an incentive in public matches, there will always be those who don't care about the experience of the other side.

No. I've enjoyed it all the times I've gotten it so far. I didn't know where I was going most of the time but that was part of the excitement for me. Also I care about having fun in this game. I don't care about a rank so big scary maps like this are always fun to play.

But this map isn't fun.
Being stealthy and genrushing is not fun and is incredibly boring to do as survivor. The fun in this game is being chased. But chases on this map are incredibly boring because nearly every single killer in the game can't use their power effectively. This means that most killers essentially turn into m1 killers. Want to know the best strat against m1 killers? Holding W, which again, is incredibly boring. There is almost no fun gameplay to be had on this map for survivor.
It's also really bad on the killer's side. As I mentioned before, most killers basically turn into m1 killers on this map. This is a problem that the Hawkins map has, but that map is a lot smaller and the layout actually makes sense so it's more than manageable on that map. RPD is enormous and the layout is confusing. Even if someone knew the layout of the map perfectly, it would still be awful because there's a lot of narrow pathing which makes it extremely hard to defend gens. Gameplay on this map for most killers is mostly boring and borderline unwinnable (against good survivors, obviously.)
"Every map doesn't have to be specifically designed for every killer to be able to use their power with ease." This is true, Huntress on Lery's makes your statement accurate. But there's a difference between a map being bad for some killers and a map being bad for almost all killers. I'm pretty sure the only killers that don't struggle on this map are Wraith and Spirit. Mobility is really important on large maps, and this is the largest map in the game. They are also the only killers that have mobility that work on this map. My point here is that maps have to be designed with killers in mind. It's a little something called game balance. If a map is made with zero consideration for the killers and their powers, it's designed poorly.
"I suppose any map though that isn't completely killer sided will be complained about by them because you know DBD is all about the sweat and try hards and not about having fun..." People are complaining because it isn't fun, what are you even talking about? Stop trying to devolve the conversation with petty insults. The guy you replied to was respectful towards you, there's no need to be so hostile.
The fun in this game is being chased? Not when you have this many killers now who can down you from a distance or have some kind of ranged ability to make running from them not as effective as it should be. I thought Nemesis was pretty balanced but his powered up tentacle basically makes pallets useless against him. Also I wasn't being hostile. I was being honest. A lot of killers complain about this map when it hasn't even been out long enough to be fully memorized and studied as to how good of a map it really is. I don't care about rank, pips or sweaty game play so for me a map like this and being a RE fan is the best thing ever. People care way too much about rank in DBD rather than just having fun. This is literally a playable map in DBD of the most iconic place in the RE series and probably in all of survival horror video games. That alone is enough to be excited about this. I will literally be playing the RPD badge every chance I get when the offering goes live again.

Game isn't scary after like an hour lol.
Rpd is awful. I hit struggle every time time I'm 1st hooked because its a gigantic map designed for a different game.
It also punished fun killers Like Billy, Huntress, Oni, And even sucks for stealth killers because its huge.
Gens fly by and you often hit stage 2 or die on first hook. The chases suck, no fair windows or loops. Just god loops and unsafe trash loops.
Its cool you like the looks. It looks good.
But I'll take the 5min ban every time i get this unbalanced crap. I want fun balanced games. Not a map that is a guaranteed loss for many killers because it makes it near impossible to use their powers, not to mention it encourages stealth a gen rush which bore me as a survivor who loves being chased.
Its unhealthy for the game and easily the worst map for both sides. Every licensed map has looked great but been atrocious to play.
Is your enter button broken or something?
The map is fine. Being chased through it is a lot scarier than being chased on all the other maps for me. Every map doesn't have to be specifically designed for every killer to be able to use their power with ease. The map takes a lot of getting used to and as I said it hasn't even been out long enough for people to really learn it. I suppose any map though that isn't completely killer sided will be complained about by them because you know DBD is all about the sweat and try hards and not about having fun...

Killer players are playing their game. They will play like how they wanna. They will play with any perk they wanna. If they are not cheating or not doing anything againts game rules, you can not judge them.
Some killer tactics and perks can be annoying for survivors. And i am not saying this is fun for survivors. But killers are not workers of BHVR, they are playing for their own fun. Why survivors thinking killer has this mission?
But killers are part of the survivor's experience in the game. How you play the game as the killer largely effects how fun the survivor's experience will be. If you care about the game, the community and the continuation of it you won't treat your rank in the game as some sacred thing you need to keep as high as possible at the expense of the misery of the survivors. Until ranked matches are not the only option outside custom matches (which I think I've done maybe 5 matches of in the past year) then there will always be this huge divide in the community on every aspect of the game. I just want a silly game mode where fun is the only incentive with entirely different objectives than the usual ranked matches. Something that at the end of it both survivors and killers can say they had fun and hope to play against each other again.

Hawking's, midwhich, lerys are indoor maps but play far better because its not a cluster of small rooms and limited playable options. Most instances you have twi ways to run, at the killer or a complete 180 away, theres no freedom and gens/pallets are badly placed rng, I had two gens roughly 16meters away on the same floor in the same corridor.
Looks good, plays awful for both sides. It's just not fun
Which is why DBD needs more things for players to do with these characters and maps other than just the usual ranked game mode. I love the map. I love the fact its not just this big open area where you can see everything from a mile away. Its supposed to have eery small rooms and halls. Thats what the RPD in RE is. Not everything has to be focused around the competitive playstyle some people do in the game. I think most people playing DBD, or at least a lot of them, don't care about the map being perfect for making plays but rather scary, immersive and just overall fun to play through. That is what the RPD map is. People have got to stop taking this game so seriously and try to have a little fun with it. The map hasn't even been out long enough for anyone to really evaluate the possibilities with it yet so honestly these quick reaction posts about it don't hold much weight in my opinion. I've been running through the RPD in DBD not knowing where I am or where I am going and having a blast.

Do you have any idea the likelyhoid of downing 4 survivors if you do that as killer? 😂 its very small because most survivors just leave when they see noed is in play. It was self explanatory, i was pointing out the ridiculousness of the statement which is several differenymt ways. The obvious being if the killer isnt moviing all game you can take as much time as you want to break totems, theres no rush. If the killer has noed, he still has to traxk down, cgase and down all 4 of you in about 30 seconds. If you and/or most if your team cant get out in 30 secs i dont really know what to tell you. And ladt but certainly not least, the killers objective is to prevent you from escaping. Your ibjective is to escape. Gens and totems are what stand in tge way of that. If a killer is able to 4k every single game never moving till after gens are done, thats on you
Again, you missed the point. Its like a trend here it seems. The point is, no matter what survivors have to be active during the match doing their objectives to have a chance to escape. NOED gives the killer insane power to get 4k if only ONE dull totem is up by then. I have already told you and said in other posts how focusing on totems every match let alone getting them all every match just for the chance there may be noed is unreasonable. The totems all too often spawn very far apart and not only do I have to get to them but I have to avoid the killer and also do some team saving inbetween depending on the situation. Its not as simple as just run to the totems and hold M1 on them.

Not for trolling, its a fun build, especially on fred 😁
I won't be for much longer. Probably when the event is over I'll be taking a very long break from DBD. All my friends have already quit the game and playing solo is always a gamble on how much the killer actually cares about their rank.
Also when you say things like "I'm going to run this just for you" then there really is no other way for me to interpret that than you wanting to do it for the sake of trolling or just making me or just survivors in general more frustrated with the game.

The killer can get a 4k without moving? How does that work?
The killer doesn't have to do generators or worry about cleansing totems. The killer can literally do nothing the entire match THEN start moving around and have a chance to 4k if they have NOED. I thought that point was self explanatory honestly.
-
I really want to see statistics on hatch escapes if there is any. When I play keys, most of the time I die. When I see other survivors play keys, they usually end up dying too. Seeing a hatch escape in my experience is a very rare thing and I am not exaggerating on that. I really do think killers get too worked up over hatch escapes as if its like them losing 20 matches in a row. I've lost about 15 keys the past few days, with hatch offerings too. Survivors really do not escape using a key as often as people think they do unless I am just one of the survivors who simply doesn't see it a lot. I've had killers literally admit to tunneling me down because I had a key in my hand. They can see my key in the lobby, but I have no idea who the killer is or their loadout until after the match starts and I don't even know they have certain perks until the end game or after the match. Killers have to stop getting so offended about survivors escaping in this game. Don't killers win more matches than the survivors in this game anyway?

Because Survivors have invented a false narrative where 5 gens popping is a Killer 'failing' to win (even though he can still Kill people at that point). Using this false narrative, they can claim NoED 'rewards failure' because that sounds better for their argument than 'The Killer planned for the long game'.
They also sometimes believe that, if they popped 5 gens, they deserve to escape, and the gate is a mere formality. Thus, NoED is openly crushing their view of how the game works. Since they 'already won' in their minds, NoED is clearly 'punishing Survivors unfairly' by taking away their 'win' before they leave the match.
They cannot comprehend that a Killer bringing NoED is giving up 1 perk slot for the entire match, because they can never remove ANYTHING non-meta. And they also don't want to admit that the Killer out-played them or planned ahead; that would be admitting they made a mistake.
But they don't make mistakes, so clearly the fault is in NoED's design.
They also refuse to do anything but gens as fast as possible. Then NoED slaps them in the face.
But instead of changing their tactics, or their perks (remember; they won't play anything non-meta), they stubbornly refuse to do bones because they don't want to waste time on anything except gens; gens is how they win ASAP. And since they can't admit to themselves that non-meta perks exist, or that they made a mistake; it must be NoED's design that's at fault.
My team can't sit still the entire match, do nothing and still escape. The killer can and get 4k after all the gens are done with NOED. Fair game isn't it?...

No, you're going to run it to further agitate the community and survivors that play this game for the sake of trolling... or did I interpret your snarky reply wrong? You're nothing special for doing it anyway. I see NOED literally in most of my matches and guess what? I don't have fun in most of my matches.
-
NOED is by far the most pathetic perk a killer can run to literally give them INSANE power in the end game all because survivors didn't ignore the main objective to do totems which does NOTHING to power the exit gates. I have literally tried running totem builds like crazy to try and find all of the totems every match and it is ALWAYS the same outcome. Either everyone is dead by the time I find them all or so many people are dead hook and dead with 3+ gens up that its not even worth trying at that point. NOED is an extremely overpowered perk that killers use to do nothing but give them a huge end game advantage and rewards them getting a single M1 on a survivor regardless of their health state. I will never be convinced otherwise that killers have way more power, control and advantage in a match than survivors do in any situation and NOED is one of the perks that literally ruins this game and completely ignores how well survivors played throughout the match so long as just 1 dull totem is up at the end. Either lower the amount of totems that spawn to 3 or get rid of this perk altogether. I am beyond sick of seeing killers win from this one perk.
-
I think they hate dead hard because they think they deserve the hit when it would've landed otherwise. They forget that dead hard does apply exhausted and we can't use it anytime we want.
-
Devour hope and NOED. When you can get an instant down effect for just hooking a few survivors or having a dull totem up it just ruins the fun for survivors.
-
@Clevite said:
You obviously don't play killer.
This game is pretty balanced in its current state.
Never forget, you also have a responsibility as a survivor, to, get good.
This is the laziest most unthoughtful response to this subject I have ever seen. "Get good" is not the answer for survivors in this game. The problem is every kind of player is clumped into one game mode (ranked) which has an incentive of ranking up and not everyone who plays DBD cares about rank. A lot of them just want to have fun but when you put all the different types of players into one game mode there will always be complaints like this in the game. DBD needs more game modes. I needs silly fun game modes with completely different objectives where no one cares about ranking up or being super sweaty.
-
SWF is the only time a lot of people will even play DBD. Why would it be a good idea to nerf it? The game has one game mode outside custom matches and until there is more for SWF groups to do other than just the rank mode its just something you're going to have to deal with. Putting any kind of limitation on something that a lot of survivors only play DBD as would just make less people play SWF. No. I promise you the day SWF is nerfed is the day there will be a huge survivor exodus.

The best slug matches are the ones where they drop the last survivor and go around breaking dropped pallets. ugh...

You're making incorrect assumptions about myself or playstyle. I've been very clear as to how I play. I do NOT taunt the killer. I do NOT act "toxic" as a survivor. That said, I do NOT whack people on hook, or facecamp survivors, or any other "toxic" behaviors when I play killer, since I view those actions as inappropriate when they're done to me and bad form, and I'm try to be as "nice" a player as I can no matter what role I'm playing at the time.
You never answered a point I made earlier. If a Mori is somehow "mean" or "toxic", do you not think slinging a "person" onto a bloody hook that impales them through their shoulder, causing them to scream out in pain, isn't "mean" also? Using your own logic, I could say that I find that YOUR idea of what is "mean" and what isn't is strange to ME, but I won't take the assumption-making path you did about me. (We could discuss how this isn't actually "real" -- that it's a game in which one role sacrifices/kills the other role -- and that playing the game as intended isn't the same as actions that aren't part of any in-game objective advancing, but one of etiquette, but that's another story altogether).
I'm simply pointing out your inconsistency -- you can claim you're being consistent, but I'm sorry -- you're not. You personally don't find a harmless teabag here and there insulting to a killer or a taunt -- but it's been clear over time that other people (particularly newer players) DO. I have friends who won't touch killer because of the relentless taunting they've gotten in-game when they were just starting out, so I've heard it first-hand from full-time survivors who'll never play killer again because there's no fun in being mocked and taunted by better players when learning.
There's no way to read intent in-game between what you call harmless teabagging and taunting teabagging -- some of it might be a "hello" teabag, some might be a "come chase me" teabag", some might be a "you suck, you're a loser" teabag -- but the motion in-game is still all the same. What you consider to be harmless, someone else might find insulting to them. Just in the way that you might not like the Mori animations, but other players find them harmless and fun. I can usually tell the difference between the worst offenders and the ones who are just looking for a fun chase, but not always -- if you want to point me to the "teabag interpretation guide", I'd love to see it so I know the differences. 🤔
Simply acknowledging that what you consider harmless might be offensive to someone else would be showing a consistent viewpoint on your part. Even if I don't agree with your take on Moris, I won't begrudge how it affects YOU, so I AM being consistent -- while doing so, you'll find no post I've ever made on this forum defending tunneling, camping, whacking people on hook, purposefully leaving people bleed out, etc. while condemning "toxic" survivor actions. But if you want to follow your reasoning from the prior thread I quoted you from -- defending particular behavior from a strictly survivor viewpoint -- then you're utilizing one standard for what is "mean" killer behavior -- due to how it impacts YOUR feelings -- and another for survivors by ignoring other people's feelings about something you think is fine.
And I don't know where you equate the Mori -- what this thread was about - with your claim about the killer "ending the match early". This isn't the old Mori we're talking about, obviously.
I stand by what I said. I am not inconsistent. You have a perspective on this that I believe is flawed and wrong. You can think you're right, and thats fine. I can too. Thats what opinions are for. Perspective matters and yes while the killer's intent may not always be to be mean to you when they do it, its much harder for me to believe that over a survivor hitting their crouch button a few times in a match. Now if they do it the whole match then yes its easier to conclude that survivor is probably trying to be mean to the killer.
Oh and by the way, you've said you have friends who won't touch killer because of survivors taunting them a lot. I have friends who have literally quit this game because of how killers played the game in many of their matches. A better community starts with the community.

I know people personally that played this game for years and have actually quit. I know people who used to play it all the time now play it maybe once or twice a month if that. Their reason? The game isn't fun for them anymore and its always about how many killers play the game.

Since the event have started I am playing with no tunneling, no camping, no slugging to involve so many BP earned in a single game but Survivors don't want that I guess. Since the event the average match for me is no more than 5 minutes, everyone just wants to hold m1 and at the end they get away with 15K BPs while like gaving a cake offered. I keep thinking if you're just gonna Go Genrush or Hold m1 all day why even bring the cake?
They probably assume the killer is going to do the same to them and remove them from the match early and don't want to take the chance. Unless you give them some kind of indication otherwise, its safe for them to assume the killer isn't interested in them getting BPs.
-
I'll never understand why people think seeing your survivor get murdered is in any way fun. Apart from that, I have said before that I have had some fun matches where I didn't escapee but the match felt fair and lasted awhile. It all depends on the killer. To me, if there is no camping, tunneling or slugging and the killer doesn't do things like hit you on the hook or spam their power at you while you're on the ground then the match has a good chance of being fun regardless of the outcome.
As far as the OP question goes, yes I do care about escaping and try to do it every match. I'm super attached to some of the survivors in this game so escaping instead of getting thrown on a hook or having my brains beat out is always my goal.
-
I'm sorry you've had a bad enough experience with the game to not want to play it anymore. Believe me I can relate to that. I'm not sure if you play survivor or killer but if its survivor I can say playing SWF can make the game more enjoyable sometimes but even that often depends on the killer. Really? it's a glorified 3rd hook. How is it 'toxic' to do a neat kill animation?
I swear; half the stuff this community (on both sides!) lists as 'Toxic' boils down to 'It makes me feel bad! :( '
Not when devour hope is in play usually. Keep in mind that tensions often get very high in this game. Throwing a mori on someone can just make the emotional tensions worse sometimes. I know some survivors don't care but I've never liked the idea of moris in this game. They usually happen to me after I've been tunneled down anyway.

A reminder, that in a previous thread, you said this:
"Also I don't really think tbagging is that offensive. I personally think its funny in most situations. Maybe if the survivors had more animations? I'd like to see a wave animation. I also think it'd be pretty awesome if survivors could dance but I'm sure that would be called toxic too."
So, for reference, I play both sides about equally. Your feeling is that Mories are a taunt -- many people who play the killer role feel that teabagging is a direct taunt. You argued there that it was "funny" and essentially a harmless gesture. Many people who play killer would feel that the Mori, at this point in its existence, is equally harmless.
You can't have your cake and eat it too. If you feel that Mories are "toxic" and "mean" to survivors, then you should equally feel the same about the taunting aspects of teabagging, which you defended, and the way they could be construed to be "toxic" and "mean" to killer players (or the way killers who've been trounced in a match would likely view "dancing" in their face after a loss). If you don't acknowledge that and defend one while condemning the other, you might want to check on the definition of "double stadard".
Again, as someone who plays both sides in the game, and who doesn't engage in that type of stuff from the survivor end, and someone who hardly ever played the Mori even before the change (and I've run a Ivory one ONCE since the change, for a daily, and I waited until everyone had been hooked once and more than one person twice before I used it), I'm consistent with my positions. Are you?
Yes I am consistent with my positions. There's a difference between someone who tbags the killer 50 times in the match at every pallet and in the exit just to be mean to them and someone who does it just a few times in harmless jest to have fun with the killer. Also tbagging doesn't remove the killer from the match early. Survivors can be mean to killers but there is a far stretch between someone who does it a couple times during a match and someone who does it all match. Do you see now how proper perspectives on situational things matter? If you think a survivor bouncing up and down a few times is as mean as a killer beating their brains out then your idea of what is being mean to someone in this game is very strange to me.

How are moris mean and how is it making survivors mad?
They are nerfed to the ground, people just use them for daily rituals. As you said, its last hook anyways and if I could choose I would rather be moried to see cool animation.
Unless someone is hard tunneling just to get that mori, I dont see why people should be mad, and if thats the case they would be mad for tunneling even if there was no mori
I'm a survivor main. Surviving is my objective and interest in the game. I'm not interested in seeing my character get murdered in a "cool animation" so for me personally its not something I care about. I'm trying to escape to avoid that. Moris are not required to win a match so to me it just feels like a completely unnecessary thing to do. I've had just about all of them happen to me and never once was I excited for it or thought it was cool. The way I see them is just a taunt at the survivor for losing. You can disagree with me this but remember that was my opinion of how I personally feel about them. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person that feels that way about them either if many post game chats I've seen in mori matches mean anything.

I had a match where Nemesis had the executioner's undetectable after damaging a gen perk and also used the addon that gives him undetectable after killing a zombie. I think I heard his terror radius once for about 4 seconds the entire match. I actually couldn't believe how long he was able to keep undetectable up. I think Nemesis is a pretty balanced killer though.

They will be retired soon cause mori’s will be built into the base game
When and if that happens, survivors should have a way to block the use of them through offerings. I've never liked moris and just see them as a means for killers to be mean or toxic to survivors. I guess I'll try to enjoy the RE chapter while I can because that change is not something I think I'll want to be a part of.

Well I do agree with the OP but not for the same reason. I feel like they're just mean to use them on survivors. Before though they were a big problem in that many matches would be over in no time and survivors would get very little points. Now I just see them as a very mean thing to do to survivors that causes unnecessary anger at the end of matches. Its probably faster for you to hook them anyway so why would you want to make them even more mad by using a mori on them (besides trying to do a challenge which wouldn't even be there if they weren't in the game).

See what i mean?
Thanks kid
I don't understand why this community is so mean to each other
Camping, tunneling, slugging, sweaty killers, toxic killers, "its part of the game bro" killers... etc.

I just played a few matches as Killer and in each one Survivors did gens way too fast and showed 0 respect for me
I can't keep up with them and they always seem to have the upper hand. Why? Are Gens too fast? Is Survivor side too easy?
Devs, can you please help Killer be more enjoyable and fair? Maybe something that stops Gens being done too fast would be good.
As an Asperger's guy, i tend to take the strong disrespect kinda personally and it makes me sad and feel like a joke. Does anyone else feel this way?
Killers have how many perks that slow down gen progression now? You should probably put in at least 100 hours of killer before coming to a conclusion like this with it. Also get a lot of their perks and try different combinations. I can tell you from my own experience that survivor side is not too easy and you never know what the killer is using every match. I'm a survivor main. I don't care for or play killer but on the rare occasion to get some easy rift fragments (chase survivor for this long, never the kill challenges) or just to have fun trying to spook survivors with insidious Nemesis I'll do it. With no perks (or just BP perks) and offerings, rank 20 and very little experience with killer I can keep survivors off gens for a very long time. When I go for bbq pips for some extra points it disgusts me how easy it is for me to get hooks. All I do is hold W towards generators and I always find them. It makes me wonder why some killers feel the need to try so hard when I can do it so easy and have no idea what I'm doing. Yea its probably a lot to do with the rank of the survivors but I sometimes get green, purple or even red ranks and I still can find and hook them. Its also probably because I have so much survivor experience that I know how they play in different situations. Even still, I always feel super bad playing killer and I literally have to go out of my way to let them know I'm not there to play sweaty or anything. Many survivors assume the killer is going to be super sweaty so they'll often try to get objectives done faster to avoid that possible experience.

Well, don't take away the challenge for the high level players. Let them play together but don't clump me in with them. I would LOVE for DBD to finally one day have a game mode where no one gives a crap about rank. The only incentive would be to have fun. As for now though, I have always said that I feel the majority of DBD players are not high level try hards but instead just casual players just trying to have fun in a scary game. I think the game's balance should focus more on the majority than the 1% or less of players that sweat it out every match. The problem with ranked is that it clumps all of the different kind of players into 1 game mode because its the only choice we have other than custom matches. I love the characters in DBD. I just wish I could do more with them than just ranked matches.
-
I just wish the game had an "avoid as killer" or block function so I didn't have to worry about being matched up against people who play this way. If someone's intent is to make my time in this game miserable then I simply don't want to play with them. It can have limitations so it isn't abused of course.
-
To be fair I don't think I have ever seen anyone successfully use this perk since it was added in the game. How often are survivors carried through pallets anyway? The only time I see it really working is if a killer leaves a survivor on the ground at a pallet for a few seconds and they also have flip flop. But again, how often does that happen? Theres a reason why you hardly ever see certain perks used in this game.

"I can't tell you how many 4k 4-5 gen games I have had."
Well, then you played really bad. It is not killer's fault.
I can understand your struggle, if you play only soloQ, but it is not big deal, if you play with friends.
I don't understand where people find all those "toxic" killers. I think it is just POV and you don't understand killers, or you are toxic and that annoy killers, so they kill you.
Just play nice and try to donate item, if you want hatch.
As killer I usually let people with crown leave, even multiple survivors per game and I can tell same when I play survivors.
Just don't be toxic and neither will killers be.
I am never toxic to killers. I never give them any reason to do any of this to me. They do it because they can. It took me all day to get 3 crowns... cakes were played every match. It is not easy for survivors to escape with a crown right now unless you get a farming killer.

Rather than alternative modes, which may be even worse than main game, I would prefer effort towards making soloQ better experience.
No I really do hope this game gets more modes soon. I am so done with the ranked mode and all the try hards who take this game way too seriously.

Just because they didn't change it, I'm actually considering not doing all of survivor crowns this year.
Or I'll do it with my friend group, cause solo is seriously not fun (especially when all killers seem more agressive than usual).
I couldn't agree with you more. I used to play DBD a lot in solo que, and then really look forward to swf days. Now I have nearly completely stopped solo que and my swf days don't happen that much. People are just really leaning away from this game because of the constant unfun experiences. The game needs another mode. The objective can be completely different than ranked to make it unique and keep incentive for players to play the ranked mode still. Something more needs to be added to this game so people can have more fun without the frustration and stress that ranked mode does.

It was discussed many times. They made it that way because survivors would ruin games otherwise. Lot of survivors would give up right after they find the crown to move on and ruin next game.
You have to play normally if you want to get the crown.
Sorry, its still not fair. Assuming every, most or even some survivors would do this does not justify having to make us escape the trial to get it. This is just giving toxic killers more reasons to be even more toxic towards us. Finding a crown the past several matches for me has done nothing but put a target on my head for the killers.
Oh and don't even get me started about "survivors ruining games." Killers already do a fine job in doing that. I can't tell you how many 4k 4-5 gen games I have had.
