    G'Day Everyone,

Hope we are all well and most importantly safe. I had an interesting game on stream that I'd like to share with you all. I was using Sadako at Lerys and kept them at 5 Gens (I'm still surprised I managed that best game I've ever played I think lol) Didn't Tunnel, Didn't Camp as I hate that playstyle I like to play a game the way I myself would like to be treated.

We get to death hook stage to which I had 3 DC'S and only one who accepted death hook. Now end game chat we get to the spice on my Killer Hook I have 2 Sadako Charms and Pride Charm, A individual take its upon themselves to say the following.

I noticed you had a Pride Charm just wanted to know if your Trans or Gay. Either way your parents don't love you.

Now why I bring this up I can handle trash talk but this is absolute appalling behavior! I reported the individual on both Steam and via In game, Please don't be like this person games are meant to be enjoyable and fun for goodness sake. We make mistakes and get frustrated yes that's normal hell I'm guilty of that lol. But I never take it out on others at the end of the day I guess I'm trying to say is think before you act, Your words and actions have meaning if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything.

Stay safe everyone and have fun

I'll see you all out in the fog.

Kudos to you for playing like you normally do and not letting their words get to you.

I think this game tends to bring out the worst in people sometimes and unfortunately I don’t see it changing any time soon. There is toxicity surrounding this game, and it’s almost become part of its identity.

Why don’t you camp or tunnel? Do you like losing?

What an odd question. Why do you assume that every killer who doesn’t camp and tunnel loses?

Some of us like the challenge and still get wins.

MMR has nothing to do with people playing Meta-Perks.

I really dont get why players now complain about the other side bringing strong Perks, the same was the case when we had Rank-based Matchmaking. The builds did not change at all, just different Slowdown-Perks on the Killers side and CoH on the Survivors side. Those are the only changes, which would have happened anyway.

Didn’t you know if they don’t have meta perks they must be low MMR?

    🙂

    Hawkins?

But yeah. I would hate to see RPD go. I love that map so much Survivor and Killer

I said FLAT OUT, meaning for no reason.

There was a reason with Hawkings. They removed the characters too if you remember.

I resort to camp in RPD if ######### goes horribly wrong.

So you can choose a broken and scummy playstyle (based on a map) but when survivors choose a playstyle via a build and items they actually have to bring, you complain? Ironic isn't it.

  • So cool, I wish they would give Victor a little hat too!

I been playing just as long as you have. At a certain point, it becomes Stockholm syndrome. From your perspective, you're basically saying the game is perfectly fine. When realistically we ALL know that has never been the case. Infinites weren't fine, release MoM wasn't fine, Pallet vaacs weren't fine, deadzones weren't fine, Nurse having fully broken stutter teleports was not fine, titanic map sizes weren't fine, healing wasn't fine, toolboxes weren't fine, item charges weren't fine, sabotage wasn't fine, adding in flashlight wave isn't fine.....I could keep going. ^ People "Cried" about every single one of those things I just mentioned, and from your point of view you're basically saying that all of that was just...crying. Because infinite loops were just "crying" when you could literally run them...INFINITELY! So by your standards the devs shouldn't even bother fixing their game and just leave it in whatever trash state its in because anything anybody finds thats out of wack is just "crying".

    Miss me with that bro....

Other games put the sparks out before theres a fire. Why you've gotten used to being engulfed is wild to me. You keep trying to cope with these bad decisions as if the devs aren't lop sided in their approach. They add in some perk, or some function and decide not to base it on optimal human efficiency, while at the same time releasing other content that is based on optimal efficiency. <---If you can't see how that will eventually create a crumbling card pyramid I dunno what to tell you other than play other pvp based games from other studios and witness people who are passionate about perfecting their game. To them it isn't just "crying" If release Xin Xao for instance stayed the way he was and Riot never adjusted anything thats their pensions down the toilet. Its not a game to people like that. And it shouldn't be treated as something you can blow off here either. Peoples livelihoods are at stake and you're calling the customers responsible for holding up those same livelihoods complaints just "crying". Yeah ok see how long a business would last with that attitude. I'm gonna say one canary in the coal mine thing that I always say, just 3 words, nothing else need be said after that.

    Evolve Stage 2.

I never once said the game was perfectly fine. I only said that players need to understand what they are talking about before it becomes "crying" at anything they don't like, which is partly the reason why these forums aren't taken serious in the first place. Just ask around.

You are now resorting to bringing up unsaid things and things that aren't even a part of the topic... like the stuff you listed, because that is how unoriginal and lacking substance these type of posts are. Instead you go ahead and defend it by calling it passionate about "perfecting" a game when in fact it is achieving the opposite of that. I wouldn't put it past the devs if they actually ignored posts like this one.

Are you seriously bringing people's livelihoods into it? Come on now get a grip. I have spent hours and money into this game and I don't think I am any more qualified than that person who didn't spend as many hours or money, HOWEVER I at least I have the common sense to understand and distinguish between what is blatantly a clear "rant" and what someone has offered as clear evidence of something that is actually unbalanced.

I am also not interested in how other games operate. They do not/will not have any impact on the decisions that BHVR is making regarding base gen speed. I am not coping with anything, I have shared my own opinions about the job that the devs HAVE done and the job they are still attempting to do. It would bare no meaning whatsoever, if I was simply doing it to harass and demean their work in the same way that other forum members tend to do.

If you think that them adding perks like Scourge Hooks, DMS, Deadlock, Call of Brine were not added based on high efficiency, then I'd argue that you do not understand what high efficiency actually means, considering that you can combo these perks pretty well with each other and other perks and can make an impact on the match itself.

  • @slunder said:

@Johnny_XMan which is a mistake. They move so slowly when reworking maps and it is often a failure, they just need to delete it.

You realize that you are asking for them to delete resourses they have spent thousands of dollars on right?

I mean, I know you are not in the business of losing money because it isn't your company, but if it was I would think that you wouldn't just throw money away like that.

  • Dwight/Meg on survivor side - they've always been my first picks, I relate to Dweet's nerdyness, and Meg's running ability.

Michael on killer side - I just love Halloween.

  • They are never going to flat out remove a map.

I dunno what games you've played previously but...I'm gonna come out and say, this isn't normal. You can call it crying or whatever you want but in normal games things that are as broken as what the op is talking about among the myriad of other things we have to deal with in this game. Isn't normal. It shouldn't feel normal. And there should be no reason to get at other players because the devs leave mechanics in that can cause people to think the game is one sided. The fact that its gotten to the point where someone would make the kind of post you're responding too says ENOUGH!

I only have 6.8k hours into the game. That is the length of time at which I am stating my opinion on my own games at. So it IS normal for me.

I call it crying because at some point that is what it becomes. At some point you can't just rely on having a bad match and calling the game "unbalanced" especially when you don't even take your own skill into account.

If you have been playing long enough, you understand how many perks they have come out with, to adjust gen speed. Some of which combo too well and can be quite oppressive. The problem is that some players are still asking for a nerf at base speed. That is never going to happen when you have perks that are way too good, that would make such nerf unnecessary.

What mechanics are one-sided according to you? OP is only complaining about gen speed.

3 gens being done SHOULD be possible if the killer is bad enough to allow it. Unless you think that the game should just hit a pause button to buy the killer more time because they aren't managing their time properly.

if we git rid of the perks OP is complaining about they'd 100% find an issue with Botony, Smash Hit, We'll Make It and Leader...

That is what these forums are turning into. Or already have...

Complain about ANYTHING that annoys you because you lost a match.

    What's never complained about?

    • The amount of RNG that weighs heavily on EITHER side during a match and it's understanding of it. (Map rotations/set ups, Perks load outs not falling into place to counter certain strengths from the opposing side, etc)
    • The experience and skill that took place during the match. (Many players do not want to admit they are also just bad at the game)

You will never hear about those. It's always the other side's problem or "balance" in their perks. Pay attention and you always see it in posts with very little detail followed by a rant to remove x/y/z.

  • Yes they should.

At this point I feel like people are just complaining just to complain, based on some of the responses. Geez

  • Revenge perk? Lmao this is a joke right?

Stop taking the game so serious and personal.

So how long do your chases last then? 20 seconds? Because with 2 gens left. Everything that takes even slightly longer, could mean a completed gen.

I´m really curious, since the people that argue, that killers should forget about the first 3 gens, because the "real game" starts at 1-2 gens left. Usually forget to mention, that with 1-2 gen left, the chances are higher that multiple survivors hug the same gen. Which heavily reduces the time to repair the gen and also reduces drastically the amount of time the killer has for a chase.

3 genning can help, but going against decent survivors, a gen 3 won´t happen most likely and even if it happend. With 4 survivors alive, a 3 gen won´t save the killer.

Corrupt isn´t at good as most people claim. It just changes which gens get done first. More often than not, i´ve seen 1-2 hooks before the timer went out, but also 2 gens done (same match). So it barely increases the time before the first gen pops.

Just as an example on regard of the gen slowdown perks. The streamer i watched last night, was exceptionally good with Huntress. He could do impressive skill shots and was able to down survivors really quickly (depending on which tile he caught them). Yet he played without gen slowdown and got barely 3 or 4 hooks before the gates were powered. He played with endgame build and managed to get his kills basically because the survivors he played against, wouldn´t cut their loses and intended to get everyone out.

In other words, gens went by to fast and his matches could have ended in a 1k if the survivors just wanted to escape.

I stopped focusing on how many kills a killer gets, but instead i care more about actual hooks and when they happen. When most hooks happen after the gates are powered, then something is far off. Don´t you think?

How long do my chases last? It depends on what perks they are running and what perks I am running or what killer I am playing.

Also I never claimed anything about when the actual game “starts” that is something you brought up. I simply said that in many of my games everyone is dead at 1 gen left. Because I think you are focusing too much on the number of gens being done rather than the pressure you are creating.

If you think Corrupt is a bad perk then I would say you are not very experienced with it because that perk alone gives you a ton of information on locating survivors specifically on gens. The difference between Corrupt and a perk like say ruin is that unlike Ruin it doesn’t do the job for you… YOU have to do the work. If you are chasing in the area where you clearly see all the gens are blocked, that is on you for not paying attention.

I also wouldn’t use a streamer as an example to show a gen speed problem. They are often distracted and not focused on the match.

At this point you can’t slow gens down at default because you would have to exponentially nerf every slow down perk there is. The game isn’t about giving you all the time that you need to down someone it is about you outpacing survivors. If gen speeds were any slower you would have way more killer’s camping. That wouldn’t be good for the game.

The killer losing 2-3 gens by the time he gets his first hook isn't something rare. Happens pretty often in my games. Especially when I play solo survivor.

Does it take you more than 30 seconds to down someone? To bad, you just lost a gen! 2 survivors repairing a gen in coop take 44 seconds (not including great skill checks, toolboxes or Prove Thyself). With 2 seconds of fixed pickup animation, 5-10 seconds to walk to a hook and another 2 seconds of hooking animation. You easily lose a gen, if downing someone takes 30 seconds or more.

But killers probably should just dedicate 4 perks to gen slowdown, right?

It is rare in my matches. I have dumped 6.8k hours into this game so I understand if there are levels of skill, which is why I said it is what I’ve experienced. But for the most past that comes to how long you’ve been playing this game.

Who said you have to dedicate 4 slow down perks in order to have a decent match? I only use Corrupt in most of my builds because Id rather focus on pressuring by downing quicker. Which is why I opt to aura reading perks etc.

You seem to be stuck in this “takes 30 seconds to down someone” where are you getting that from?

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2907126#Comment_2907126

    Can't win without downing someone.

You have to commit at some point.

I understand that, and that is not what I said.

I specifically used the word “overcomitting” because in my experience that is the only time I have seen 2-3 gens pop and it’s a very rare instance for me. Where I might have wanted that first survivor to drop ‘x amount’ of pallets before I leave them. So shame on ME at that point.

I just think that at some point people on these forums need to wake up and start realizing that it is not just generator speed to be blamed, certainly not in 2022 when there are too many ways to slow them down.

Also for the record, I know you have to down someone at some point, I just think that you have to be smart about who and when you are downing too. I have no video evidence of what transpired during OP’s match, what I do know is that a segment of this forum will find ANY post to continue the same narrative that gen speeds are too fast, simply because they’ve had a bad match.

  • @AcelynnBen said:

No this is fair and balanced and doesn't need to be changed because killers aren't players just bots and they don't deserve to have fun

    -literally every survivor main atm

Literally nobody has ever said that killers are bots and they don’t deserve to have fun. Thanks for continuing to add to the stigma these forums already have about it being a cesspool for crying killer main players.

Having fun doesn’t mean generators aren't being completed. I play killer and I often win with 1 gen left. Should I start complaining that everyone is dead at 1 gen and not 5?

It’s very rare that an instance like the one described in OP happens unless you are overcomitting to your first chase and get bad map RNG. It happens, but when it does you have to look at the whole spectrum of things taking place. One of them being your own skill or lack there of. Map and perks play a part in it as well.

  • She is the epitome of how ridiculous some killer players are. You know you tarnished their god complex the moment you got that flashlight save.

  • What’s the point of these threads?

The expectation goes both ways. Like, at this point it is not a competition. BOTH Killer and Survivor players feel entitled and should lower their expectations.

  • @KrampusJumpscare said:

Killer doesn't feel rewarding unless you putting hours into blight and nurse. Its been what, 5 years of dead hard? Yea, + CoH completely trivializing healing time + map designs are still trash for most m1 killers. People get sick and tired of the same bs over and over again. Meanwhile survivor gameplay you can put music on and chill and still clap cheeks with not effort lmao.

I mean, some of us are still enjoying playing killer. None of which includes those two. 🤷‍♂️

My rotation is usually Michael (my main), Twins, Leatherface (recently just started playing him) Sadako. I enjoy them quite a lot actually. I could never see myself playing Nurse or Blight.

Also, Id like to see you play in Killer high MMR as survivor with music on. You can do this when you go against bad players, the ones who know what they are doing will make you wish the music was turned off.

  • Cool story bro, I meet them everyday.

  • It's 2022, You have an array of perk options now that gen speeds is not an issue. I don't know how much slower gens need to be. They would have to literally nerf every single slow down perk that exists if you want them to nerf the gen speeds at base.

I also think it's important to understand WHY people complain about Camping. No It is not the kind of camping that is tactical and where it is warranted that people wonder about, it is this one:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMaJjCbyqqg

Explain that one when you complain about why 2-3 gens popping within the first chase.

If you are losing 2-3 gens within the first chase 99% of the time, you have really bad map RNG or You are just terrible in terms of mind-games and being able to leave that survivor alone or both. This is not everyone's experience and certainly not mine.

Tunneling is a tactic. If someone is the weak link; why should the Killer get punished for removing them in order to slow down gens in order to buy more time to kill?

All making DS easier to do does is buff a side that already has 5000 different ways to avoid being hooked.

Because Tunneling isn't just a "tactic" it is also an easy cheesy tactic. That is the part that players complain about and rightfully so.

Also, I love how eliminating a skill check is somehow "buffing a side" but allowing you to FREELY choose to go after a person as they are being unhooked somehow OK and balanced... Like honestly, I could care less whether the skillcheck stayed or not, but let's not pretend like the other side's "tactics" aren't BS either.

On the contrary, the major point of this system would be to have killers and survivors sharing good vibes and rewarding each others, instead of staying stuck in a defeat / toxic mindset "us vs them".

I am positive that getting 0k 4 escape as killer but getting endorsed by the whole team, granting you +100% BP is a better experience than getting the same result without any other reward. At least you know they had fun and they thank you for that.

Of course it won’t erase all the toxicity…

The people that it would work with would already share those good vibes either way, with or without such system.

I am talking about those people who will find a new way to be rude by giving them the ability to control rewarding other players.

It's the same reason why people who throw games because they would rather T-bag and go down OR Camp and get 1 kill could care less about bloodpoints.

  • I don't think rewarding should be decided by either party. You'd basically have people saying "You get no reward blah blah blah" as a new form of being a jerk.

DT and expo are horrible, yes. But them being horrible is what makes them not broken despite broken base mechanics.

When the base mechanics are fixed and made fair, then yes, those perks absolutely should get a buff.

IMO they should work sort of like Build to Last where the effect is stronger the first time around, then get weaker and weaker.

This way the survivor is more cautious as to where/when to boon a totem and the killer doesn’t have to feel like snuffing was pointless.

That is not the type of nerf CoH got because for some odd reason the devs think the healing speed is the problem.

  • @Mandy said:

My personal opinion is that you have not done enough in the match to earn a pip - depipping is completely fine.

Yes being camped and your team mates not helping can suck, but that's generally considered to be part of the game and there are perks to help with that - Borrowed Time for example.

(and I'm speaking from a position where I get hard camped and mori'd a lot!)

While I respect your opinion, there is something to be said about the current state of camping. If feels like the pip wasn’t earned even if you were one of the ones who held M1 on a generator and escaped.

Someone had to pay the price of basically switching survivor role to “sacrificial lamb” role.

Understandably you guys have already stated that there is something in the works to address it. So I don’t want to lean of further discussion about how bad it is.

I just think this shouldn’t be the Dead by Daylight experience nor the one that BHVR should aim for. Usually pipping makes players feel like they’ve earned something even if a match went a certain way.

At this point everybody knows the drill (stay on gens while killer camps) doesn’t mean that they aren’t any less disappointed in how it works to not reward them because they had no chance at playing the game.

So punish survivors for taking a hit that they were already punished for... and in no better time than EGC.

The perk is fine as it is. You are meant to give the broken status so that survivors are forced to wait before they can heal themselves. If you are looking for a punishment that is the punishment.

Please stop saying they DH to god pallets every time. If killers know then just bait it out.

You're taking one match where DH outplayed you and you act like it's every match. Over exaggerating like always

I was just about to say this.

Notice how it is always “distance to a pallet”, never the other 300 different scenarios in which DH sucked.

  • It’s not as bad as many make it seem.

There are certainly people who don’t know how to deal with it and so they use that as their “argument” for why they think it’s god tier.

  • Well said. That is exactly what many of my matches look like as well OP.

    Untitled Image

It's an over exaggerated assumption, especially in this platform (the forums) where the majority of active members appear to be biased towards one side. Everyone who truly understands the game knows that DH isn't the only "strong" exhaustion perk, its just the one that mechanically works the best in scenarios of "close-chase" situations.

If the devs created other perks that also worked in "close-chase" situations, they would be using those as well.

Hyperbole and allegory are lost in a place like this.

Just because someone is saying someone negative does not mean it's a 'temper tantrum'.

The point of this illustration is to show that complaints are not, by virtue, inappropriate or overtly dramatic.

So long as someone's grievances are grounded in a relevant truth, they can be viewed as constructive to a point - if not, at the very least, understandable.

To decry someone and dismiss their activity as childish when they voice their concerns is antithetical to the point of a forum.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896366#Comment_2896366

    • It's a forum. You can announce your experience, yes. It may be valid or not, in your case, you explicitly made it an invalid expression - in which case it should be ignored rather than discouraged outright. We are not here to discourage discussions.

    • You're missing the point of the post completely, which is not simply about the necessarily obtuse nature of adept challenges, but about the killer experience overall and the complete disregard of the experience from the developers.
    • There is no such thing as an inherently 'difficult' adept challenge. There are only bad perks. Upon this, adept challenges for killers are incredibly easy at low ranks - you can accomplish them by pure accident. However, they become outright IMPOSSIBLE to accomplish in high ranks. Ghost Face at top rank basically feels impossible to get adept with, if he's your first killer, you can get it in your first couple of matches. Not only does this 'argument' completely disregard that survivor adepts aren't a challenge at all, nor that killer adepts aren't much of a challenge on bad players - only 'good' ones, but it also ignores the overall point of the post - which is that the developers have forsaken the experience... the Adept challenges wouldn't be nearly the challenge they were if the requirements weren't so strange... but if the perks were not such absolute garbage, it would also not be such a strange concept. It's already a 'challenge' to accomplish such goals with only 3 perks - doing it with garbage perks doesn't help much ever. Adept Meyers at high MMR is basically impossible to accomplish - as the roundabout accomplishments are completely contrary to his play style and perks. To try to argue in FAVOR of the current Adept system is to be willingly ignorant of its pitfalls ; atop missing the point of the post altogether.
    • So... your plan is to make a counterargument - then to basically agree with him and aid in his point by conceding that this is burning him out, and he should just stop playing... as YOU have? That's not much of a counter to a complaint.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896532#Comment_2896532

That's not how a bell curve works - not a graph.

The more players you have, the more likely you will be paired with people 'close' to your MMR is a generalization that does not take into account the average MMR level.

This is the same as saying 'The more people in your town, the more people over 150 IQ there will be' or 'The more you gamble, the more you win' - just because there's a chance for something by means of numerics does not indicate a result based off of averages.

Not only does it depend on the average MMR, but it also depends on the time of day.

Just because the player count increases does not mean that the quality of MMR, by merit, becomes greater - especially for outliers.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2896647#Comment_2896647

    Uhhh...

Survivor Adept is a 50/50 shot as enforced by MMR (Ideally)

Killer adept requires literally flawless gameplay at higher ranks.

You literally can lose your Adept from 3 Exposed downs on healthy survivors, a single flashlight save, or one generator being completed in 90 seconds - which is almost always at higher ranks.

I get if you're pointing out the differences in gameplay. But you're blatantly ignoring the inherent differences between the challenges.

It isn't apples to oranges, it's 50/50 crapshoot to literally being held to a nearly impossible standard of perfection.

They actually do - they admitted as much in their latest update.

If you're in que for a few seconds - the current MMR system says 'screw it' and grabs the best people ASAP.

A large part of the reason behind the recent MMR tests is to determine the right 'balance' for this, as the community seems to disfavor throwing MMR scores out the window after sitting in que for 30 seconds or so.

50/50 shot? You are only 1/4 of your team, so that would mean that at least 1 more of your teammates HAS to be good. Something that is not guaranteed and relies heavily on good RNG.

My point is that you are comparing apples to oranges because of the differences that exist. It doesn't mean one is easier than the other and it most certainly does not mean that you should be able to meet the adept requirements on YOUR THIRD MATCH ever with that said killer. It is absurd.

If you have met the pre-requisite of 9 hooks, no survivors escaping, the scoring enough points is there for a reason. Because they do not want killers simply camping and tunneling which would make it easier and not the challenge that it is suppose to be.

How are you not sure by what I mean when I say how it's easy for survivor?

Survivor just has to escape period, that's all there is to it.

Getting a merciless victory especially with some killers at any decent level is extremely difficult and you're gonna sit there and try to tell me that it should be like this for killer and that simple for survivor?

    Please, get a grip.

Sorry that you are having trouble I consistently get merciless and even give the last person hatch in most of my games.

Expect for the ones where I get heavily met with bad RNG on my end.

Your reasoning is really off so that is why I asked in the first place.

You can also just admit that you need more practice. Nobody in their right mind is going to believe that you were going to get adept in your 3rd match as Twins or any killer for that matter.

Well it's either they make them easier so that they match how easy it is for survivor or rework the system completely.

Either way the killer adept system is a joke lol.

I am not sure what you mean by "Match how easy it is for survivor..."

IMO you are comparing apples to oranges. A survivor's gameplay =/= A killer's gameplay. The problem is you don't understand how RNG heavy this game is. In that you could be playing a more casual build and go against a strong-meta build even when your intentions were not to try hard.

So once you understand that you know that slotting your 3 adept perks which may not be the strongest, let alone optimal. You can't really turn around and say well I went against the strongest stuff and all I was trying to get is adept. Especially when it is your 3rd match ever as that killer.

Do I think that because of that maybe they should have other ways to incentivize playing killer and maybe tie the adept through that? Sure, maybe. At this point though if you are just a casual player Survivor OR Killer be ready to encounter the opposite of casual.

Honestly, most players are survivor mains, there are like 3.5k killers left, no wonder everyone is siding with survivors.

Will laugh my ass off when in a few months dbd is empty of killers.

Will come back here check you all crying. 😂

"Will come back here check you all crying"

Yet your post is oozing with that.... crying.

Nah it's not just that, it's a combination of many things but yes I agree the achievements are stupid so why not just fix them?

It's just become an extremely and ever increasingly frustrating game so I'm just not gonna endure that anymore.

So by fixing them you mean make it easier, correct?

Cuz if so, I disagree. Adept should feel like a challenge and also even more challenging if it is on a new killer you have never played. I can't speak for Oni but I do play Twins consistently, and if I expected to get adept on match # 3, I would think there is something wrong with me.

This is the general problem with killer players. They seek a more "fun" less frustrating experience, when in reality this translates to "easier".

I prefer to be happy when Bhvr changes stuff that clearly needs to be changed rather than dwell on the bad times.

Brand New Part used to instantly complete gens. Moris allowed the killer to kill upon first down. Hooks got sabotaged forever. The hatch used to be awful. The game is constantly changing. Some change just takes a lot longer than others.

Some people would rather simmer in what once was rather than embrace what is.

Unfortunately what that means for BHVR is that no matter how far they come, people will not be pleased. Even if through memory they choose to stay negative even if that thing hasn't been around for months.

    You can't deal with DH.

It's problem is when it is used to extend a chase by dashing to a pallet or vault. This is uncounterable.

If someone is caught out in the open and you wait for them to DH before the swing that's not you countering them. You would get them even if you missed. That's them being caught out in the open.

If you think DH is counterable I seriously question your overall skill as a gamer.

So why is it that survivors are still going down even after using it for distance to a pallet or vault? Because they are bad?

Do you know that you HAVE to have the proper distance AND also the right position to use it?

Also, as I’ve already said survivors aren’t using DH at every pallet or vault. Often times they are found in bad areas, such as dead zones which renders DH completely useless, and where other perks like SB have more functionality.

So when I say stop comparing perks to “argue” that DH is OP that is what I mean. You are comparing Apples to Oranges to state your case. SB, Lithe, BL have an advantage over Dead Hard and render the killer impossible to catch… so should we be advocating that they are OP too?

The fact that you think that waiting out DH isn’t a counter says it all. Because you wanna be able to land every swing sounds like you are just entitled and want a down every time. Sorry but that is not how the game is suppose to work nor it should.

I've yet so see a reason as to why it isn't that actually makes sense.

One of the counter-argument I've seen was "Bait it out", which doesn't apply to using Dead Hard for distance.

Another one I've seen was "Dead Hard doesn't give as much distance as other Exhaustion Perks, like Sprint Burst", which is true, Dead Hard gives less distance, but it depends when Exhaustion Perks are used.

Dead Hard is the only Exhaustion Perk that can reliably extend chases after the Killer already put in time into the chase, which is stronger than either denying chase, or ending the chase before the Killer got their first hit.

It's the same reason I think Overcome is better than Sprint Burst but worse than Dead Hard. It activates after the chase already started, but ends it immediately after activating.

Dead Hard activates in a moment of vulnerability from the Survivor side, most of the time when they wouldn't have gotten to a Pallet or Window, and gives them the slight amount of edge that helps them make it, but is also a small enough amount of distance that ending a chase for wouldn't be worth it

Are we just... going to ignore this whole post because it contains arguments you don't like and can't find a logical counter-statement?

Comparing it to other perks does not make it OP.

You wrote that entire paragraph and it shows nothing about why you think it is OP. All I see if comparison to other exhaustion perks, even though they are suppose to be different and strong in their own way. At this point you are comparing Apples to Oranges.

Keep trying though. I am sure the more you complain about DH the more it will stick.
