  • I was waiting for the new killer to see if I would play some dbd again but I guess I will have to wait their next release. I'm surprised of how little effort they put into this one. I'm sry but any1 that spends any money on this DLC has very low standards. I don't really see the passion of the company anymore, seems they're going the money route with the horny bait for pubescent adolecents that will spend cash in this kind of garbage, have you seem how forced that killer walk is on the winning screen? lmao. Rly sad.

Well to be honest the three killer you name are for me among the most annoying to play, not because of nerfs but because of sound.

Billy: "now you dodge" roar is repetitive and annoying, chainsaw screeching becomes unbearable even when slightly heating up the saw from repeated M2

Demo: Screams across the map at ANY interaction

Bubby: The constant chainsaw sound when playing him is annoying and hindering when trying to listen for survivors.

I find Billy sound awful too, that roar is just stupid and his chainsaw is way louder than Leatherfaces for some reason. Demo and Bubba I don't mind the sound tbh.

It doesn’t help that a lot of killers have fallen into the “Mid range zoning anti loop” archetype

At least Wesker is a super fun addition to play against

I don't really mind most anti-loop tbh, the one that I really can't stand is Artist, feels so cheap to go against. The knight is horrible design but since its kinda wonky you can get away, its not exciting gameplay but its quite manageable. Pyramid Head getting free hits from fakes is kinda no brain as well (the power itself is fine, the "hold forever and fake to get a free m1" is the only thing that feels cheap).

What I hate the most is hit and run playstyle and bullshit like plague (soloq nightmare, always a bill cleansing at 5 gens) making the screen look awful, legion with stab and run away, etc. Thats why I prefer killers that actually have to somewhat commit to chases to get value.

  • Yeah depending on the caliber of the team you can win perkless/with all kinds of handicaps

  • Dude... Did you just put Artist in fun to play against? What are you smoking

  • As survivor I don't really care about escaping, so I usually don't get mad unless some survivor sandbag me really bad. As leatherface I got one of the most annoying matches in the new reworked Haddonfield where the survivors just abused the house windows and there was nothing I could do to get them in chase and it was a 3v1 in a 3 gen situation, the match lasted forever and it was so boring, i would just let it end but they were being super toxic so I played to win and got them at the end.

  • Honestly I use it on David sometimes and he is quite loud when injured and IW makes it much better imo. Only downside is it doesn't work when you're exhausted.

  • Its more like a mysterious filter

  • @xfireturtlex said:

Look lower, like put him between the center of your screen and the top third. It's weird, but he needs to be higher on your screen than it seems. Idk why it's set up that way but it works fairly consistantly.

Today I could reveal him quite easily. Yesterday was a mess. Just seems inconsistent af sometimes

  • I don't even equip charms most of the time, pointless and doesn't even look cool

  • As a soloq warrior, I laugh everytime I see Prove Noobself. Kids m1 gens like their family is gonna get murdered if they don't escape, then they wonder why they're not improving at looping.

Weren't those pre-SBMM, which means the Survivors he faced weren't guaranteed to be any good?

    pre-SBMM and pre CoH

So how long do your chases last then? 20 seconds? Because with 2 gens left. Everything that takes even slightly longer, could mean a completed gen.

I´m really curious, since the people that argue, that killers should forget about the first 3 gens, because the "real game" starts at 1-2 gens left. Usually forget to mention, that with 1-2 gen left, the chances are higher that multiple survivors hug the same gen. Which heavily reduces the time to repair the gen and also reduces drastically the amount of time the killer has for a chase.

3 genning can help, but going against decent survivors, a gen 3 won´t happen most likely and even if it happend. With 4 survivors alive, a 3 gen won´t save the killer.

Corrupt isn´t at good as most people claim. It just changes which gens get done first. More often than not, i´ve seen 1-2 hooks before the timer went out, but also 2 gens done (same match). So it barely increases the time before the first gen pops.

Just as an example on regard of the gen slowdown perks. The streamer i watched last night, was exceptionally good with Huntress. He could do impressive skill shots and was able to down survivors really quickly (depending on which tile he caught them). Yet he played without gen slowdown and got barely 3 or 4 hooks before the gates were powered. He played with endgame build and managed to get his kills basically because the survivors he played against, wouldn´t cut their loses and intended to get everyone out.

In other words, gens went by to fast and his matches could have ended in a 1k if the survivors just wanted to escape.

I stopped focusing on how many kills a killer gets, but instead i care more about actual hooks and when they happen. When most hooks happen after the gates are powered, then something is far off. Don´t you think?

I wonder if you're referring to coconuts, I was watching him on badham and the match was exactly like that. And It was embarrassing to watch survivors of that level being able to potentially 3 man escape vs a huntress that was outplaying them within seconds in every chase.

  • Welcome to dbd man. I just gave up on the design of this game, it won't change. Uninstalled today since it was causing me more stress than fun.

I mean, some of us are still enjoying playing killer. None of which includes those two. 🤷‍♂️

My rotation is usually Michael (my main), Twins, Leatherface (recently just started playing him) Sadako. I enjoy them quite a lot actually. I could never see myself playing Nurse or Blight.

Also, Id like to see you play in Killer high MMR as survivor with music on. You can do this when you go against bad players, the ones who know what they are doing will make you wish the music was turned off.

As long as the music is not loud enough to overtake the terror radius, makes pretty much no difference as survivor, and I play solo queue, SWF makes even less diff. And no, I'm not facing babys, I get matched with people with thousand of hours on both sides quite often.

As killer could be the difference between hearing someone behind a structure or not, or get blindend and try to hear the footsteps, hear gens, so many scenarios. You gotta use your ears as killer way way more than survivor.

I don't enjoy nurse and blight either, they give me motion sickness with their animations. What I meant by that is, you can put 9k hours on a bottom tier/mid tier killer, doesn't matter, any good team can wreck your ass if they want. If you put that effort on blight, nurse, spirit or one of the better killers, you can still keep up with the meta, so they feel more rewarding in a way.

  • Got only 1 match of those, most matches were vs average survivors but not brand new babys

Eyrie is a bad map regardless of whether we’re talking about trapper or not but yeah…hiding traps there is nearly impossible.

Absolutely, wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the map with most escapes, surpassing cowshed. Theres an insane amount of connecting pallets on eye of crows.

Put Billy to Lery, even not able to use power, hes still able to spint to the other side of map.

Range killers also suffer from some indoor map, doesnt mean they can not use power.

Crow map is that one special that make Trapper an absolute M1 killer.

Hint: Trapper is also suffer from all indoor map & Auto heaven. Thats 10 maps of the total of 36.

And from what I've seen, reworked haddonfield just gonna be another one. Looks Open as #########, every1 gonna spot you putting traps.

  • @Tostapane said:

he needs a complete rework, his power is obsolete. Once he was fine, but now, with all the reworks that map had (good luck to find some grass in order to hide your traps), the swf with voice comm (it's sufficient a single guy who will follow you for the entire match and disable every trap settled to screw you badly, forcing you to be a pure m1 killer without power) and the huge amount of time that you'll loose in order to set up your traps well... you get the idea why he's in a bad spot

Yep, all you said is true. It's sad cuz I really enjoy him. Today was extremely unlucky day as well, I got ######### eye of crown 5 times as trapper, so frustrating.

  • @C3Tooth said:

    He has more traps

-> Process to remove all those doorstep that supposed to hide traps. So many traps but have nowhere to place

    His traps get darken

-> Process to brighten most of the map

Crow map is the top notch.

I swear they hate him, playing trapper feels like the ultimate level of masochism. I rly like him but he feels helpless a lot of times

  • @HungrySnek said:

So your not playing a killer anymore because of one map?

Oh he has lots of ######### maps, this one is just the cherry on top. Just doesn't feel rewarding to lose vs people who are not even good in chase, got 8 hooks to be tbaged at gate vs the most average clowns. I played doctor after and felt like super jesus, the difference in power is immense.

  • New killers ofc, they don't know how to design maps at all. Theres a reason why tourneys ban so many maps

  • Killer doesn't feel rewarding unless you putting hours into blight and nurse. Its been what, 5 years of dead hard? Yea, + CoH completely trivializing healing time + map designs are still trash for most m1 killers. People get sick and tired of the same bs over and over again. Meanwhile survivor gameplay you can put music on and chill and still clap cheeks with not effort lmao.

  • @OpenX said:

I have seen a few cheesy spots where you can still glitch the traps into the ground

idk them, in main build or what?

  • @NemmyMan3000 said:

I understand you man, thats why I dint even bother placing them outside of main building or killer shack.

Main building is literally the only hope, but once they know ur pretty much powerless all game playing machete man...

    You know? "Them" kinda survivors.

    "Artist no counterplay pls nerf"

    "Artist op pls nerf"

"I DC against artist nothing I can do"

Ya know the bad survivors who have their hand held through every part of the game? And just cry for nerfs whenever a killer takes skill to verse?

Welp artist it was fun playing you but I'm not gonna put days worth of playtime into another killer that's gonna get gutted in a few months time. I learned my lesson from slinger.

Legion it is. Time to stock up on Julies mixtapes to jam out every match. Free-entry raves located in house of pain featuring franks and julies mixtapes when the patch drops :)

You already know how it goes... It is embarrassing how they had the nerves to nerf deathslinger, a killer far from the top. It's like they want only blights and nurses to have fun in this fkin game. They don't learn either, fixing haddonfield cuz every1 complained but they still make extremely survivor sided maps like eye of crowns. They won't ever learn. This game is flawed to its core.

  • And ofc, got this map 5 matches out of 7 today...

  • Dude, he took advantage mmr was turned off for couple of days. It's not rocket science... Interesting post I guess...

I was oblivious for long time, but got friends who are playing dbd like a job, and invited me into their stack(and I am not even that good of survivor) . The level of information I got was insane, like knowing where the killer almost all the time, so the 3 can do gens without problems while the other is chased, and when the killer leaves you get the information where he is heading, and can prepare in advance, etc frankly, SWF on comms = every information perk equipped on survivors.

The only time we lost against a god nurse, and blight with strongest addons (but even then in blight case, 2 survivors made out) , in others case 3-4 survivors escaping was the standard, again and again most of killers cant do anything, the game so against killers its just insane. Mad respect for killer mains for putting up with this.

You almost feel an unbeatable god in 4 SWF. About 50% of the killer just gave up and went afk or DC-ed, its really funny, as survivor you are the killer, and cant help but want to bully the "killer" when in 4 SWF.

It's true. It's the easiest way to play this game by far

  • Yea, I used to sleep on it. I only realized how fun it was when Hex: plaything came out and I had to pay attention as survivor if the cenobite was coming haha, and as killer make you be able to sneak which is fun as well. Fun for both sides imo.

  • @Marcavecunc said:

Clown becoming undetectable from walking through it would be a bit too OP, but I guess that's why you made it 12 seconds. The oblivious part of it I agree would be nice, but for shorter than 60 seconds, that's way too long.

But yeah it would give clown some more mindgame potential to have an oblivious/undetectable add-on.

Yea, since tinkerer rank 3 is 16 seconds, I thought 12 seconds would be a good amount.

The numbers are just to express the idea anyway, maybe around 30-40 seconds for the oblivious part.

You got the point tho, now I just hope the devs will see this and like the idea ^^

  • LOL @Scienziatogm THE GIGACHADZILLATRON DID IT

I use yellow bottles as a clown main hardly at all. The activation time is absolutely prohibitive. Good survivors see the white cloud and either leave the loop or just drop whatever pallet they're on. Then you're out a bottle and faster while you uhhhhh .... Break a pallet? It's not useful stuff.

Yea the yellow + purple bottle combo takes a while. I guess another buff they could make is make the transition between bottles faster and smoother, takes too long to throw both. Still useful if the survivor try to stay in the loop tho.

  • I've posted some ideas before, here we go:

1 - (passive) Trapper gains x% movement speed when moving in the direction of a survivor stuck in a beartrap. If the survivor is outside his terror radius, he gains a 20% mov speed buff, down to 10% if the survivor is within his terror radius. The buff is removed if The Trapper starts a chase, picks up the trapped survivor/free himself, or if he chooses to go in other direction than the caught survivor.

2 - (beartraps) Once caught in a beartrap, survivors cannot free themselves or get rescued for x seconds(I think 5 or 6 seconds would be okay), after the timer they can normally attempt to escape or get rescued by teammates. Even with the latest beartrap changes, survivors are still insta leaving traps quite often, which makes extremely disappointing to see your power not rewarding you at all, so I suggest this change to make things more consistent and have a better sinergy with the passive too.

These two changes would allow Trapper to move more freely trying to get survivors who got caught in a trap far away, rather than just have to ignore it as usual. Would allow for more fun and risky choices, which may or not pay off.

3 - (Tar Bottle Addon Rework) Changes the colour of the beartrap to blend with the environment colour. Since theres a lot of maps without grass these days, would be interesting to have an addon like that imo. Would have to be careful to not make the traps invisible tho.

*The numbers are just to illustrate the idea, some tweaks might be needed*

  • Yea I've seen it before but I don't like the combine bottles idea because it makes his kit more no brain than already is and it will make survivors frustrated for sure.

You can't look at it like that. Survivor perks help individual survivors. Killer perks affects the entire match.

Have you heard about boons, kindred, BT, etc etc etc. Even unbreakable can turn the whole game around for the team, it doesn't help only "individual survivors".

  • Damn you got smoked by the blight LMAO. Considering you have 5k points, the blight would probably won with barbecue only or any troll build kekw

  • YIKES putting words on people's mouth, learn some basic interpretation before you try to use content creators who are not even saying what you think to fit your agenda dude

So you or Otz don't think the game is generally killer sided from an average-high level standpoint? Even with emerging stats from tournaments that show it to be at least balanced?

Tournaments don't allow people to bring 4 dead hards and the sweatiest stuff like normal matches, a lot of maps are banned as well. You put a comp team or strong SWF using whatever they want in a pub match and they will decimate lol its not even close. The only thing tournaments show is, even with a sh*tload of restrictions, the game is not even close to balanced.

  • Werewolf killer would be sick!

  • Freddy capitalized extremely well off the ruin undying meta. But then devs not only nerfed the perks, but also nerfed freddy to the ground.

A rework would be very welcome, his addons are terrible and completely uninspiring. His kit is not the most fun either, but you could say that for a lot of the basic m1 killers. The discrepancy between the top killers and the basic m1 killers is huge and definitely something devs should start to adress for the long term of the game imo.

  • BBQ, rewards you for getting hooks and the bloodpoints too juicy.

Second favorite probably Infectious Fright, really fun depending on the killer you're using.
