People do not have to follow or sub to watch your twitch videos UNLESS you select that as the option in your Creator Dashboard.
You can change this by going to Creator Dashboard/Affiliate/Subscriber Only Archives - make sure this is disabled. This allows non-subs to watch your VODS/clips.

I honestly don't think ANY names should be revealed until end game - survivor or killer.
I had 5 killers opt out last week from a match .. because: TTV. I was with 3 randoms - 2 of whom had TTV in their name. We had to wait for the 6th killer to finally accept the match. Ended up being a great match with the lowest score being like 27k for survivors and the killer got 31,400 (or 31,300..I just remember it being almost 31,500). But yeah - 5 scared killers to go against 4 randoms - just because there was TTV in half their names. I say get rid of the names altogether as they serve no purpose before the game is over.

Honestly I dont think I'll support this game much longer if these issues are going untreated. Having survivors that do nothing but selfcare and go for saves never once touching a gen and getting to that rank is stupid. Stop balancing and allowing bad survivors to get to rank. If this 5th year anniversary isn't a good license and we dont get a map I'm done, I have supported you since console release but this game just gets worse and worse from bugs, maps, killers, ranking and balance... so fix it or I'll leave like most vet players are.
I have more matches fail because none of the other survivors are at all altruistic than matches fail due to too much altruism. You cannot control how others play - nor should your experiences be used in some way to prove that one thing exists over another. Your "evidence" is anecdotal and does not reflect the experiences of the thousands of people who play. If you do not like the skill levels at which randoms play - there is an option to play with others who you have pre-selected based on their worthiness to play a game with you.
-
No clue - I have end game chat closed. End game chat serves no purpose except for people to be salty/abusive/idiots.

- Most of the killers I've gotten were Nurses and Spirits. I didn't even have the chance to stun much to begin with.
- All the time. They camp/tunnel me, and everyone else in every game. Last night (I actually had nice matches for the first time in forever though) I had a Hag trapping hook/camping and tunnelling but most hags do that so nothing new. Then I was facecamped (I took screenshots of this too) by a Nurse who also facecamped every person who got hooked, she didn't leave the hook once. Then another Nurse in the School map facecamped me with NOED at the end. Then facecamped by a Spirit who also didn't leave the hook all game though the 4 of us survived. Overall, most people always camped and tunnelled at red ranks but it has increased.
- It really depends. Yesterday I won about 80% of my matches and it must have been like 10 matches. But some other days you get 5 awful pointless matches in a row.
- if by "rude" you mean tunnelling and camping, definitely yes. As I said most of them always did. But it did get worse.
- Not from my experience, same as before.
- About half my matches with, half without. I must have made use of it 20% of them yesterday, since usually when I get hooked I get Facecamped and I either die and they escape (and if this happens it's a result I'm happy with) or it's by the very end and they leave me on the hook.
That being said, I like how in the forums everyone apparently plays without DS, they never get tunnelled or if they do they love it, every game is wonderful, they don't mind dying 80% of the time, as long as "they make X bloodpoints". It must be a me problem that I'm very competitive and like to play optimally. Everyone else is apparently wonderful and there's no issues.
I thought your replies were well stated until your last paragraph when you resorted to hyperbole.. lost me there. Hyperbolic statements only serve to weaken your point(s).
-
Oh wow a rank 1 survivor - then your opinion must be fact!
-
Are you guys having fun with the new no stun bug? It can be inconvenient, but I also know it is being worked on so doesn't really matter all that much. But yes I am still having fun.
How often are you guys instantly getting tunneled or camped?. No more than usual. I rarely get tunneled - camping happens, but it is usually if the killer hasn't killed anyone by EGC.
How often do you guys win now?. My escape rate is basically the same as it was last month...and last year.
Are killers playing more "rude"?. Rude? Uhm they are killers - they kill. If you mean camping/tunneling - see above.
Are you running into more slugging builds than before?. Nope
How often do you actually use DS? I have used DS twice in 4 years. I don't have issues with people who think they need it - I just find other perks more useful.
-
Well we all aren't - 6 games out of the thousands that are ongoing is not indicative of "all."

Oh sorry 2 out of 3 had deliverance and 1 just got lucky by normal slipping off hook.
MY ######### MISTAKE
So you purposefully lied the first time... or are you now saying you didn't even look at the end screen to see their perks? If you didn't look at end screen perks.. how do you know ANY of them had Deliverance? See the flaw in your post is that you lied or have no idea what perks they had. Had you looked you would know how many people had Deliverance and that would mean you lied to inflate your story. Either way you have completely discredited yourself because you lied or are guessing on what perks people had...and claiming that as fact. At least now people know not to believe your posts.

the fact it took all the way to egc for them to be on first hook shows they were sweating after gen rush
Or the killer did just not do well. Survivors solo or SWF - doesn't matter - can do well - or not do well - same as a killer.
I've seen killers focus too long on survivors.
I've seen survivors who can't loop for more than 5 seconds.
There is no FACT in this because all we have to go on is the word of one of the 5 players in that match without any real proof. The scenario would lead me to think that the killer did not do well if 3/4 survivors had never been hooked until the end game collapse. What that insinuates to me is that they tunneled ONE survivor - and when EGC - NOED popped. Someone - or up to 3 people had Deliverance, but we don't know how many - again no proof. We don't know if there were any luck offerings. We don't know if 1 or more of them got the 4%.

yes and the remaining 3 were all on first hook
it was a sweat fest and I was super ######### close to 4k
Super close?? Uhm Deliverance only works on FIRST hook - so you weren't close since no one was on 2nd hook apparently.
I am a red rank survivor/killer and VERY rarely see Deliverance. It's not OP in that you HAVE to unhook someone before you get hooked - otherwise it is a completely useless perk. It's like NOED in that it is a powerful yet fragile perk if certain conditions aren't met.

I’m pretty new to the game and mostly play survivor. But want to swap to killer for the most part.
I’ve had a few good matches and even some tips on end game chat which were constructive but I’m sick of the gg ez or people telling me I’m toxic if I chase for more than 10 seconds.
Is there any recommendations on which are good I guess killers for starters? Or should I focus on one and learn the maps better ect?
There seems to be a lot of don’t do that for killers that’s my POV. No matter how I’ve played I always get crap end game chat? Is that just the way it goes?
Best advice I can give you - close end game chat - it serves no purpose. There's no sense in letting people live rent-free in your head.

I prestige 3 a main killer and survivor. I leveled them up until no perks shown in their webs. now when I unlock a perk - Boom it is there in the very next web. Works great.

At a certain point, you realize you either have to play to win and not have fun, or play for fun and not win.
That is an called either/or reasoning or rather a false dilemma. It is a fallacious argument which limits choice to only two options which can easily be refuted.
I play this game to have fun and I also win... so no your statement is not an absolute truth, but more a fallacy.

Where has the fun gone out of this game? Match after match after match no matter if I play killer or survivor the people I go up against are complete sweatlords. They aren't there to make the game fun for the other people they are playing with. Killers constantly camp/slug/tunnel, even when playing swf (non comms) and the other survivors try to protect against the killer and take hooks etc killers just aren't interested they just want to tunnel someone out the game! Then as killer against survivors they are either totally unproductive and just want to bully the killer or literally just have come in with full toolboxes/bnp and prove thyself. Where's the gameplay? 😓
Never mind the fact I had someone as a killer in a 'tournament mindset' this shouldn't even be in the regular servers literally queueing up for a game for it to be over in 3/4 minutes cos they just go in hard. I know people won't agree with me and most likely these people are the culprits.
If you have nothing of value to add to the conversation then don't I would like a genuine discussion about it.
Game is still as fun as the first time I played 4+ years ago. Actually I think it has grown more fun over the past two years than the first two the game was going. Fun - is a subjective word - what one person finds unfun 1,000 people will find fun... and vice versa. If you are not having fun in a game - I fail to see why you would play it.
-
Nurse is the killer I win most against. The second I find out that I am going against a nurse I literally imagine two coins flipping at the exact same time - and that is how I make my moves when they blink - I flip the coins in my head and then do whatever the coins land on. In other words - I play completely unpredictable. I forget about loops and strategies - and simply...spur of the moment decide what to do from a possibility of 4 choices (heads/heads, heads/tails, tails/tails, and tails/heads). DBD is a strategy game - revise your strategy if it isn't working.
I have never purposefully disconnected because to me that isn't a strategy - it's more akin to a temper tantrum.

What does that tell you about the state of the killer, BHVR?
I still main killer 60% of my streams - just like I always have.
-
I watched the video. Hopefully he reported this to BHVR as it signifies AN issue with SBM. Since I have not heard of anything REMOTELY like this I am assuming it is some type of bug or error in the SBM. With such a low occurrence (with proof) of this bug/error/issue it leads me to believe that is something to do with his "record" of skill that created the issue - which I am hopeful that he actually reported to BHVR so that it can be looked at.
This occurrence is an anomaly and sucks to be the one it affected, but in a way I am glad it happened as it exposed the issue/bug.
-
They recently did a 24 hour test of the SBM - so I think it is something we should see within the next few months. They may do another (longer) test to see if things are working correctly before implementing it full time.
-
You can't use any item when you are in the dying state. That would be like saying you should be able to use a med kit when in Dying State to get yourself up.
-
Psssst look in the BUG forums.
-
SBM: Skill Based Matchmaking. This is the new system that DBD will be moving to and will alleviate many of the problems you cited.

I'm scared the Dowsey scenario will be a thing.
If you don't know who that is I will tell you, Dowsey is a streamer that teaches others kinda like Otz but less popular.
Anyways, he is a beast with Twins, I believe he went over 100 wins in a row so his MMR went extremely high, took him about 2 hours to get into a match, when he got into a lobby it took him about 30 more minutes for the MMR to find 4 survivors.
I don't want to wait 1 hour for a game with Oni (I haven't lost as Oni in a very long time)
I am sure you have a link where it took him 2 hours to find a match and 30 minutes for 4 survivors to get into the match...especially since this person is a streamer. The problem with your hyperbolic statement is that there is AMPLE VOD evidence to prove that IF this did happen - it was a solitary issue - which would seem isolated to that one streamer. My longest wait period was probably 10 minutes as killer; which btw I play ONE killer and have only played one killer (Doctor) for 3.5 years at red rank. But since you have claimed that this streamer - had to wait 2 hours for a game......
VOD link please.
-
My entire group of friends and I played both killer and survivor during the 24 hour test for quite a bit of time (10 hours for me).
Matches lasted longer.
There were no absolute shutouts.
Gameplay seemed way more balanced with killers who did get 4ks having to work for it.
Gameplay seemed way more balanced with survivors having to actively play more aspects of the game to escape.
I have found most complaints about the SBM test coming from people who like demolishing survivors or completely bullying killers and didn't like the "challenge" SBM brought.
The one problem I had with the 24 hour test: Players kept their arbitrary ranks which is what people used to point at how SBM was not working - when most people agree that the current rank system is not an accurate reflection on... skill. Hopefully the next SBM test will see everyone pushed back to rank 20 so as to avoid this type of rank delusion when it comes to Skill Based Matchmaking.

Stop purposefully DCing - the length of time indicates you do this quite often. You are punished because there were other players who were negatively impacted because you were being selfish and purposefully disconnected.

I finished every single challenge and I made it to tier 59. The grind for the rift is too much and needs to be toned down. On fortnite I could literally play for 30minutes and rank up multiple times. For dbd I got to play for hours just to rank up plus the game doesn’t even have daily/weekly challenges Incase you run out of challenges.
Uhhhh you can have up to 3 Daily Challenges - not sure why you think there are none.

You are going to find jerks in almost every game unfortunately. If/when someone does something like that I just realize they are an idiot and apparently need to do stupid stuff to make themselves feel better about their life. If you want to let jerks run you off from a game that is your choice. I don't let people live in my head rent-free which is what you will be doing. When stupidity happens in any game I just tell myself:
Water off a duck's back... and then move on.

It's mind-boggling how it can take 15 minutes to find 2 people to play with (a survivor and a killer) in a game with 50k concurrent players. For people who've tried the new MMR, does it address this issue at least somewhat ?
I rarely play on Saturdays - today I played from 2-6pm EST and my longest wait as a survivor was 2 minutes in that 4 hours - most were under 1 minute. I have NEVER had a wait time even close to 15 minutes - On average it is more like 2-5 minutes and that is usually later at night (10p-2a EST).
-
And yet I still see it as a survivor and a killer nearly every match - Haven't seen that much of a decline actually in its use.

I see almost every killer with at least one purple addon and a red one.
2 survivors with a purple medkit with yellow or green addons.
Do you really need to put your chances at winning higher by using boosted items?
So should I just save them?? What would be the point in not using them? Whether I am killer or survivor why wouldn't I use the best items to help me with my objectives? Nothing is gained by saving them and their purpose - like all items/addons... is to help you in your match.

I had no trouble finding/interacting with the red glyphs. As for the Rift Pass - Yeah I bought it, but I also know I will finish it in time and will get all the available auric cells back.

I am wondering weather or not I should be using spine chill. I want spine chill to help against stealth killers like Wraith, Ghostface, Pig, ect. But I don't wanna relay to much on it. Should I use it or replace it with something else?
Run what you want - I prefer Alert for my sensory perk.
-
I play 5-6 days a week. I generally play killer 3-4 days a week and survivor 1-2.
-
I've always thought their should be a reason for players to play one survivor over another and my thought was a boost in their teachable perks.
Take Feng for example: If someone was running ALERT as Feng then at tier 3 the perk would give an extra second of aura reading. LITHE Tier 3 would have like 1/2 a second boost to LITHE speed duration. TECHNICIAN Tier 3 would only be an extra 1.5-2%% regression penalty.
This passive would be small and only apply if you are playing the actual character who the perk belongs to and it is tier 3.

I've had a lot of games recently where survivors just hide and don't touch gens.
Typically this happens when you have 2 survivors left and they're trying to wait each other out (I have no idea why they do this but whatever), but I've also started having games where 3 and (once) all 4 survivors all starting hiding and not doing gens.
It's happened enough that I'm wondering if this is a new BM strat for SWF or something?
The fraustrating thing is that I've been trying to move away from using whispers on every killer, but I feel it's general utility and the problems I'm having once survs go full stealth mode are making it mandatory.
I doubt anyone is going to agree- I'd personally love whispers to be basekit sort of like the heartbeat is for survs. Obviously modified, but I don't understand who is actually having fun in a game where the killer isn't actually interacting with the survivors in any way.
Generally if it is a SWF they don't do this. Instead a SWF will have one try to get the killers attention and die because they know where the hatch is. Or they will try to raid chests in hopes of finding a key if enough gens were done and they can do a key escape. So if you suspect a SWF that COULD escape if they found a key - closely monitor chests and you will find at least one of them :)
-
I bought the DLC because I am a completionist. I like having the ability to quickly/easily unlock perks for my main killer and survivor. I also have no issues supporting a game that I have spent thousands of hours playing with a $7 purchase every few months. Will I ever play Trickster?? Nope... BUT not because I think he is a "bad" killer - I don't enjoy playing ranged killers.

Almost 3 months to go, but I'm already excited at the possibilites and speculations. The All-Kill chapter seems to have been another original killer debacle judging by the forums, sadly. Buckle up for the future.
Important lesson about forums: They are not a direct reflection of the general player base. Most gaming forums have MAYBE 5-7% of the actual active players who post. I tend to ignore most of the vocal posters on these forums; either survivor/killer sided posters as they are not accurate stances of most players or even most posters. The problem with this; like most forums, is the amount of hyperbolic and vitriol that is taken as fact.
On the original topic: I am absolutely excited for the 5 year anniversary. While I am not a fan of the Trickster - I did buy the DLC. It's not the Trickster I am not excited about...but rather another ranged killer. I loathe playing ranged killers. I also purchased the new cosmetic for Feng because she is my main survivor.

Because the developers do not respect their playerbase in the slightest. We are to be treated like children.
Or as a company they have decided to ban words which serve no purpose but to harass, degrade, and humiliate other players. LOL what? You know BHVR is a company that makes money from base game, DLCs, and cosmetics right? It's not a new concept - it's called business. If you don't like something - don't buy it. Coming on here rambling somewhat incoherently doesn't help support your "idea."

As a survivor I LOVE going against Nurse. Not a fan of Spirit killers, but I will gladly face a Nurse any day.

My post, literally right under Zozzy's.
You gave ONE example that could happen - others can also give examples negating that - so your comment wasn't really hyperbolic more just anecdotal. The one I stated HYPERBOLE towards was claiming 1. 10 matches of SWF right in a row 2. All players DCd due to Iri heads.
It's easy to make hyperbolic claims - just looks stupid to do so.
