  • DC as soon as I get hooked not going to let the trash baby killer tunnel me once I get rescued
I was hoping to get some serious responses. Are you mocking me, by any chance?

How do you guys feel about it? I’ve only ever DC’d due to massive spikes in Lag and when I’ve been tunnelled after my second hook.

I almost always tunnel someone who has been hooked twice. Why would I miss a chance to take a survivor out of the game?

Sounds like you DC due to massive lag spikes AND when you know you have already lost.

I would like you to keep in mind that the “know I’ve already lost part” has only happened once and that was due to a Legion often injuring the person they were in a chase with but leaving that person to tunnel me because, and I presume this, because I had Decisive.

    I dont get it.

If an other survivor make a bad unhook, then i tunnel.

Because it was a bad unhook and he shouldnt get this extra points.

And you DC, if it happen.

Survivor can make mistakes, but you DC after 1 mistake.

You are the bad teammate in this moment.

PS: DC because reallife is good.

    Because reallife is important.

I’ll tell you now, I DC’d because of tunnelling only once, which was a few moments ago. I was playing Laurie, levelling her up to get 3 slots and her Adept. And facing a Legion I would be unhooked... but no matter how far I was, the Legion only went for me. And mind you that the Legion did not hook anyone in between my rescues, so BBQ & Chilli didn’t aid them. Nor did Object of Obsession because I didn’t have it equipped. No... the Legion would give up the chase they were in just to get me.

I am not a bad team mate just because I left only a few seconds before I would’ve died anyway. A bad teammate leaves before they’ve been downed once just due to the killer they’re facing, or DC’ing because “Why not”. DC’ing is acceptable as long as the reasoning is, such as for an Insulin-dependent Diabetic like myself.

If I may ask, when Legion switched from current target to you, were you in an injured state?

On one occasion, no. But on other occasions the Legion switched so quickly I was unable to heal in time.

I’m saying that I’m not justifying the joke or the offense based on their ignorance or lack of intention. How is that contradictory? And how is an unintended action with a negative consequence not an offense? Negligence does have a consequence, legally.
Correct me if I read your response incorrectly or misinterpreted it.

Negligence from a legal stand point comes for a preventable action that causes harm. Leaving your car in neutral on a hill and it runs smashes into a bus full of nuns is Negligence. Using legal terminology in a discussion of personal feelings is comparing apples to tanks. They are not related at all. Telling a bad joke that hurts the feelings of one person is not a crime. Well maybe a crime against comedy, but not a legal crime.

In the UK hate speech (calling someone fat, gay (these are small words yet are actual things that can be used to accuse you of hate speech)) is a matter in which Police CAN be involved. Police are going into schools because of cyber bullying and are arresting people because someone can’t handle being told they are overweight. It is ridiculous how sensitive some people are, but I dare say that no blame should fall upon the victim. But the oppressor should only be punished for a crime once it becomes evident that such things that are said are no longer said out of initial anger, but rather attempts at harassing a player.

    It is gross though.

    Goddammit.

If this reply is serious then allow me to explain sexuality with an analogy that has worked a lot for me.

Sexuality is like chocolate bars. Everyone has their favourites that they tend to stick to. Maybe milk chocolate is your thing, and in this scenario the milk chocolate is symbolic of women, whilst white chocolate is symbolic of men.

The reason why you find two white chocolate bars smushing up against each other is because you prefer milk chocolate. If two milk chocolate bars started smushing up on one another you might enjoy that instead. But everyone has a right to enjoy whatever chocolate type they want and they should be able to live their lives without people telling them what chocolate they should like.

I can give you a more serious answer. If you want.

Oh, I’d be interested to read your thoughts.

  • You just... get on with it. You do what you do. I’m a sensitive child when it comes to these sorts of situations but, in retrospect, it always looks stupid seeing them just list off charactistics as if they’re insults. Yep, people are gay. People can also be new (noobs/trash) and that’s okay, not everyone is good. Some people camp and can be called out for it or falsely accused, people can use DS or loop and can be labelled toxic. And you can cry or be hurt by these things but once you dry away those tears you’ll quickly forget about it.
  • Oh gee, he mad.
  • Devs don't have the power to bam on consoles. Don't know for xbox, but for ps4 whenever you report someone for racist or homophobic slurs and harrasment it may result in them being baneed from any kind of communication on psn, which will lead to temporary and permanent bans if the person continues to do the same

Sony has been excellent so far for me. They’ve alerted me to when any action has been taken and seem to know legitimate claims from false ones. I would highly recommend reporting any messages that you get sent that are deserving of a report to either Microsoft, Sony, Steam/Valve or whoever is most suitable.
  • She’s an incredibly high skill cap killer. If a killer is OP using her it’s because the player has practiced using one of the more difficult powersets in the game. They earned their 4Ks.

  • I only try to P3 the characters I buy loads of cosmetics for, or whose backstories I like, so that would mean Spirit, Claudette, Jeff, Nea, Kate, Meg, Huntress and Nurse. Claudette’s already P3 with all perks, Kate’s got nearly all of them, Nea’s P1 and Meg’s halfway to P2. It’s such a grind... not helped by the fact that I bought Red Dead Redemption 2 recently and need to grind for that as well. So it’s often hard to choose which game to play.
Oh. But I’d justify Prestiging with the fact that you can keep on gathering event items without worry of needing to erase it should you decide to prestige. Though in all honesty I wish they’d add a BP bonus for each set of a Prestige set you wear during a match, an even bigger bonus for Legacy.

Never claimed they are. But i´m tired of survivors calling every killer a lag switcher, when they only had a lag spike.
I´ve been a survivor in those matches. No lag on my side. Survivors still acused the killer.

I've been on both sides of it so I can understand it but when it gets so easily dismissed on these very forums by killers mains non stop saying git gud it gets called out.

If people were actually told what's lag switching and what's not they actually feel better and learn something instead of feeling their getting trolled by killer mains.

They are being dismissed, because people call everything a lag switch:
Survivor missed the DS skill check? Lag switcher!
Killer seems to go faster than normal while carrying someone? Lag switcher!
Survivor was downed after jumping through the window? Lag switcher!

Nothing of this is a lag switcher.

But the next things are real lag switches that happend:
No progress bar progress for more than 10 seconds while holding m1.
Can´t see the killer, next second you are downed or already on the shoulder of the killer.
Being unable to unhook someone, no matter how long you hold m1.

That happens to me occasionally. I had one occasion when I was unlocking an Exit Gate and I saw Leatherface chasing me... He kept on running straight past me but then all of a sudden I was downed and left to bleed out. My team were still good and revived me though, so I can’t really complain.

Sometimes it could just be the survivors’ connections. I am knowledgeable of mine being terrible but not by choice, due to living on a newly built estate where Fibre connections haven’t been integrated yet. So if I get into a game with a killer whose ping is bad I will know, especially when my ping is above 300. But otherwise it sticks to 80+. If I could move so easily I would and would instantly get a fibre connection as I know it is equally as annoying for killers and survivors to have a laggy player (especially when someone’s connection completely cuts off whilst healing you, you are stuck in place until the game recognises the disconnect.

Just going to throw this out there, I almost never have a problem finding Claudette. For some reason, I run into a lot of them wearing her green lab vest, but even when they aren't, If they make even a slight bit of movement, I'll likely spot them. Our eyes are naturally tuned to spot movement.

Yes, she's great for stealth, but it only takes one slip up for all of that to go away. My problem with her is how often she is seen as the symbol of toxicity. Those people don't even use her P3 to really hide, just to be annoying. When I see a P3 Claudette, it's not how hard she will be to find that I worry about. It's how painful the game will actually be.

I stopped using her P3 outfit because killers would simply either dodge, tunnel and hard camp you while ignoring the actual toxic players and then say it's because I was toxic. This despite the fact I never tea bagged, didn't loop endlessly and don't sabo their hooks right in front of them.

It's the mere fact I play stealthy and don't teabag, run in front of them and loop them endlessly they feel deprived of the chance to thump their chest. It's like if you're not actually toxic well you must be toxic because Claudette and because you weren't toxic but you have to be mindset.

Meanwhile the people teabagging the killer and saboing hooks right next to them get ignored because hey you're wearing a P3 outfit etc.

Sadly I’ve had to stop wearing her Prestige set as well. If I don’t I wear it I get games. If I do... well, let’a just say that it took an hour to find a game that I didn’t get kicked from because the host disconnected.

For the last time, we're not talking about real life, we're talking about a video game. A video game with a competitive focus with no AI aspect to it. Therefore yes, something like that can matter as it affects balance. There should always be cosmetics that can make it harder or even on a player, but never ones that give them an unfair advantage. That is the crux of the argument. If every map was covered in snow and there was a short, skinny white character with fully white clothes and hair, the exact same issue would be present. Same if everything was purple and there was a character that had purple skin and purple clothes and blah blah blah.

Except there isn’t, because an all white outfit would most likely look ridiculous and would be hard to design. We are talking about a character that has clothes that are normal, in both design and general colour scheme other than the fantastical themed ones. Games can often represent our thoughts of real life subjects: why on Earth do you think so many people are much more violent on games? Because it is a method for that person to be angrier than they are in real life. So if someone decides that a character’s race (or, in Overwatch’s instance, a character’s sexuality) bothers them then it may be showing a sinister thing or two about that person’s beliefs.

For instance. Again, despite me trying to explain the obvious point of white skin being equal to black skin you keep on acting as if it’s okay to totally exclude black characters from dark cosmetics simply because they’re hard to see. Cosmetics are always capable of affecting balance regardless due to thread physics causing clipping or technical issues, meshes changing and creating false senses of hit boxes, etc. But again. People are only finding issues with Claudette’s dark cosmetics because she herself is dark skinned. And yet if a white character were to wear those same cosmetics no one would have an inch worth of complaints. But no, gotta be toxic somehow, right? Like saying that a black character can’t wear the same dark shades as the white characters.

You do know that Claudette once had an all black outfit in the store right? It was just a reskin of her normal clothes. It was taken out because it would have easily been abused. Trying to find her in an ALL black outfit is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Her clothes that she has now are perfectly fine. People have issues with the green, brown, and P3 clothes because they darken and camo her even more than she already is.

I am a POC and I’m not offended by anything anybody has said in this thread. It’s a sensitive topic, but again...it’s just a video game. There are reasons why the lighting has been adjusted on most maps. Some maps are just too dark and Claudette can blend in better than anybody else. Having 4 P3 immersed Claudette‘s on the swamp will make even the best killer annoyed.

Thank you for coming into the discussion respectfully. It is just that the changes made to her black outfit (I know the one you speak of) was actually a change I like given that grey was the primary colour of the pallet with subtle black in the attire. It seems stupid to demand a change only for her and, as the OP seemed to have intended, for Adam as well. Her brown is indeed dark but as are Nea’s, an excellent example of dark cosmetics that can be equally as effective as Claudette’s dark cosmetics.

But frankly it’s too late into the Store’s release to make such a change as it isn’t causing anything that is technically damaging to the character’s mesh or the environment or anything. If changes are made I insist simply that they change the other characters and the tone of their alternately coloured default designs. If Claudette’s visibility is complained about and the others are so different I can only imagine that it would not affect the other survivors’ visibility.
  • I get annoyed at the mention of the Battle Pass being so good... the only way a casual player (not me, by the way, I have no life) would be able to earn back those necessary Battle Pass V-Bucks would be by completing the challenges that are given weekly. Without those then you’d never earn back the V-Bucks. What would the Blood Pass reward you anyway? The cosmetics we already have are wonderful and I love the model of being able to buy them at any point anyway, including event ones like the Hallowed Blight cosmetics.

Swing and a miss. This is an online only game, so there will always be latency issues that will cause things like this to be a non issue, which is also exactly the case. Huntress hatchets hitting people around corners is far more of an issue than Feng's or Adam's coat swaying a bit. If anything, Kate's brightly colored ice picks make her more visible, so it has the opposite effect. Bonus: Having things sway on her clothing would actually IMPROVE her visibility, so it would be a welcome change! People are only finding issue with this because its the only combination that is ACTUALLY an issue.

Let me give you another example since you seem content on misreading the situation: Face coverings. a few characters have face coverings that hide their lighter tone skin on their head model. How do the cosmetics retain being balanced? bright, neon hair. You could pull whatever argument that "people can wear face coverings without having to have neon hair in real life, so forcing it on them is an injustice" but they were designed that way to make them not lose any visibility vs the other cosmetics available. It was something that was thought over beforehand, and applied thusly.

The only reason why its such an issue for Claudette at this point is because it wasn't thought through from the beginning of designing the cosmetics in question. If they never existed in the first place, you would have no reason to fixate so hard on them, and many people wouldn't have any issues with their visibility by merit of them not existing, or being designed with similar contrasting counterblanace. Again, you're taking a design issue about a video game and trying to forcibly juxtapose it to real life.

Whatever, you can keep on saying that I’m trying to attune it to real life when, in essence, you were trying to argue for disabilities being accommodated for, as though the game now has to make up for problems that the developers did not cause.

Plus, you’d be discrediting the work and the effort of the designers just because, boo hoo, it doesn’t fit your perception of balance. They get paid to make the characters look nice and to come up with new ideas and designs, not to balance or design cosmetics around balance. Cosmetics are optional for the purchaser. Hell, if you argue for brighter clothes I argue for darker ones. Brighter clothes make it harder for survivors to see skill checks and so dark clothes would add more focus to the skill checks which in turn may make more actions efficiently faster.

I do not agree with what you’re saying, not one bit, as it is still excluding the character based off of her skin tone.

Please stop trying to paint everyone that disagrees with you as racist, and especially please stop trying to parallel video game accessibility with real life scenarios.

But the matter of which we are speaking (Cosmetics = clothing) is absolutely stupid. A black character can be as darkly dressed or as dark as physically possible and it shouldn’t be seen as wrong.

    Make it token based.

    • Give Survivors who run Self Care 2 tokens
    • A token is consumed after healing the equivalent of one health state
    • If a Survivor only heals partially, an equivalent amount of the token is consumed
    • Increase the self-heal speed to 75%

There, now Survivors heal faster, but can only recover from wounds twice per game. Getting injured repeatedly now is riskier and inflicting injuries will feel more rewarding for killers. As for the explanation why the Survivor can only heal twice per game, just say they only brought so many bandages to mend themselves.

Or... allow Self Care to broaden your healing options? Perhaps those barrels of fires can be used, and if you use the heal by them you don’t consume a token. After all, if the Legion stabs you and you’re slowly bleeding out then you’d need a fire to cauterise the wound.

I’unno. I still think it’s fine as it is now.
  • Hang the hell on. The OP was asking for Claudette to be changed and only her, having not even mentioned Adam or Tapp in the description part of their post. You are turning this into a matter of disabilities, forgetting that Dead By Daylight is not developed by a company that releases triple A games, nor is Dead By Daylight a triple A game. So setting standards to it as you would any other game with triple Dead By Daylight’s budget is absolutely stupid as implementing a fully functioning colourblind mode is incredibly difficult and most Devs just put a filter on a screen which is hardly a fix.

And again, you’re talking about the cosmetics without realising that her cosmetics do the exact same thing as other characters. Prestige Clothes cover her in blood, the alternate colours of her default turn them different colours just as it does for other characters. I am saying that it is a race issue because everyone believes it is unfair for a dark skinned character to wear dark clothes. If any of this was told to someone in real life the messenger would be punched as it is an absolutely horrid message. Please, go out, and try explaining to someone why a dark skinned character can’t wear dark clothes. To say because it doesn’t contrast with their skin is absolutely ridiculous and insults me, even as someone who’s paler than the moon.

If her cosmetics are being abused then it is sadly a side effect of the entire cosmetic store. Before the store the limited cosmetics meant that Prestige was the only true dark option any character had, which was earned and therefore a reward. In giving each and every character cosmetics they created a base recolour for everyone, as they should. If you are unable to pick up on audio cues or subtle visual cues then you are simply not a proficient killer. Asking for the survivors to contrast with the environment is a request from an idiot who is playing a role they are incapable of being, if such simple tasks are impossible for that player.

When going against the Legion, press the active ability button to accept their invitation to quit your day job as a Survivor and be the bassist for their band.

No stop requesting nerfs for the legion, i am tired of these survivor mains asking for silly buffs UGH you just dont now how to play the game epic noob

This is a buff to the Legion wdym

They can finally get someone to play the bass for them

shut up survivor main you have no idea on how to play the game

The first part is not true; I’m a Legion main

The second apart is very true, but that’s to be expected because I’m a Legion main

To be honest? I want a different buff to Legion...

I want to be able to be bled out, and then turned into a Legion member. Able to wound but not down, to sabotage and regress items. That would be cool. And an incentive to doing it would be an awful lot of blood points...

  • If the spray can was added into the game I’d want it to be used to increase the action speed of sprayed items. So you could hold down the interaction button and the survivor would start shaking the can and use up more charges, which you could cancel by moving away. And once you released the button you’d cover the object in a new texture, one with spray paint on it. It could entirely cover things like gens and exit gates, making them more noticeable so the killer knows if he/she should target that. But once the killer kicks/interacts with a sprayed object the effect is gone.

Well. If you wish to ban cosmetics because they supposedly make survivors incredibly difficult to spot I suppose Survivors should be able to ban black Hags, or low TR killers. Since they can be hard to see, right?

Claudette’s original design (pink shirt, bright blue jeans) are noticeable. But P3 does exactly what it does for everyone else. And her skin colour, being darker than most, is a fact of life that darker skinned people would obviously be harder to find than lighter skinned people. Hell, sometimes I lose track of whether my boyfriends is in the bed or not, and he’s black. But many complain about her race rather than her clothes.

If Claudette is changed, so should everyone else. The grey on her new cosmetics set isn’t ludicrous, her Gypsie set is as noticeable as anything, her brown default sets are indeed ridiculous but would you like to know my solution?

Give the other survivors either more dirt/blood or.... give them sleeves. Hell, I presume people were expecting a dark sleeved cosmetic for Nea when her sweaters were announced. In fact her Christmas sweater (and some others, mind you) are a good example of this. It would make logical sense to give them sleeves as it must be cold in the Entity’s realm... and it would give a bit of leeway to designers.

thats a bit of a false equivalence in regards to killer visibility, especially since the Wraith leaves an actually visible shimmer while cloaked (i.e. invisible) and the presence of, you know, terror radii in general. MOST of her cosmetics are fine, especially the aforementioned grey/pink/etc ones. The fact that she has dark cosmetics at all can turn her into a moving silhouette to people with visual impairments, especially those who have protanopia. Since there are no color substitution options in the game, it creates a directly exploitable blend that can vary from mildly difficult to near impossible to discern.

I think the best thing BHVR can do to fix the issue (in lieu of actually making a colorblind mode) would be to allow players to set an override for cosmetics client side. In other words, all other survivors and killers would have base cosmetics on your screen, with the ability to toggle it on and off between matches. This way claudette would be toggled back to the pink shirt for any players who specifically have visual issues with her, as well as as any other survivor cosmetics that may be more of an issue than default ones. That way the cosmetics in question won't need any type of rework or redesign or anything like that, and players can opt out of them individually if they become an issue due to visual impairment.

Edit: its worth noting that most people with various forms of colorblindness tend to have issues more with darker shades of their trouble colors, and clashing brightness/contrasts tend to be the best way to improve visibility. In a game thats based off of being dimly lit, it should be pretty clear as to why this can be an issue.

If games were to cater to the minority of handicapped gamers then the average person would have an easier game handed to them. If they implemented a feature like that then imagine how many people would use it despite being visually capable of normal sight and colour interpretation. And all of this over one character who happens to have darker skin than the others?

And you mention the Wraith. Claudette is constantly visible in terms of physicality. She has no invisibility option, it is merely the lack of attention paid to the small details. And a TR does not give away their directional position, so a black Hag could evade your sight as easily as a Claudette, or a Meg wearing a black hoodie. If a person is visually troubled I feel sorry for them and hope for them to be able to repair it. However, despite this, I have no empathy for them as they have chosen to play a game in which visuals are important. Just as a Claudette player has the full right to choose the character they want to. If people want to play as Claudette then they have the full right to. And it is wrong for anyone to suggest a change to the character without making changes to the rest of the cast. If there was a choice to be a certain race, particularly in dark environments... of course you’d choose those that are darker in skin tone. But it should not exclude that race of characters from wearing dark clothes or having the tone of their clothes adjusted just because of their skin colour.

I might sound like an SJW. But there is an issue here with people’s standards.

It's doubtful that Brexit will require any developers to give you your own dedicated servers. It's cheaper just to exclude you entirely.

Oof, that sounds harsh. To be honest I’d rather they spent more money. If it keeps the youths indoors... it might help decrease the knife crime that keeps popping up on my news feed.
  • Hm. At least it’ll be a worthwhile option to pick up aside from meta perks. If they keep buffing the underused perks the meta may become more flexible.
  • I’m in the EU (Don’t know if Brexit will give us our own UK servers, our governments a mess) and have faced waits of 20 minutes+. It’s so horrid.
  • I want a NOED buff, no wait DS buff, no wait, I want Freddy buffed to wear he looks like the OG Freddy, not the bad remake Freddy.

The remake... wasn’t that bad? I kind of enjoyed it. But then again I have horrible movie taste. The remake of IT I find unbearable and to be more like a comedy. But I can presume they chose remake Freddy over OG Freddy because of the scenes where Nancy falling asleep (or having micro naps) were easier to make into a gameplay feature, rather than waiting for a long ass time to fall asleep like it might have for OG Fred.
  • I think it would be interesting to have some natural debuffs for when you're injured as a survivor.
I don't like the SC change, tbh. I don't usually run SC (I run bond and iron will instead) and having them be even slower would be kinda annoying. May even put people who don't run the perk into a situation where they need to 'cause no one's healing other people. I don't really think the game needs SC without a perk, though. It's already quite strong, we should be looking at ways to limit it ever so slightly imo.

I’ve never seen a problem with Self Care. The 50% reduction in speed certainly already slows you down. And it is something to slow the game down and yet it is still seen as overpowered... Of course, but isn’t any perk that lets you perform an item-specific action without that item? Self Care is harmless, I believe it is only complained about by those that want easy downs. I am a high rank survivor and killer, and not once has Self Care seemed OP. Instead it’s always seemed like a good reward for winning a chase, or safely evacuating a hook.

there are a few that are abused specifically.

I understand what you say, but disagree. Used, not abused. To some extent, you can decide what challenge level you want to play.

I can't choose for those cosmetics to be banned, just like I can't choose to not be colorblind. Like I said, its literally only a few cosmetics on a specific character, but you don't seem to understand what it actually looks like to someone affected.

No matter what rank, you’ll never notice a P3 Claudette, who knows you probably passed one without you knowing. It’s annoying to deal with a Squadette, Claudette is a problem.

I mained Claudette when I 1st started playing her because I liked her backstory the most and good or better killers always found me when I was wearing my P3. They would run whispers and or just knew where to look and the same can be said for other characters.

I've literally walked into other P3 characters and couldn't understand why I couldn't move until I looked down and saw the Feng or Bill etc blocking me.

You're blaming Claudette because you can't find her but if you think she's such an issue go play her non stop with her darkest clothes and face good killers.

When you get destroyed and found often because they know how to counter you you'll change your mind.

The comparisons are weak, Claudette is already hidden with her skin tone, the P3 just adds a level of BS. The rest are easier to see and have something that gives them away. Claudette doesn’t have that.
So this is about her race. Okay then. What on Earth could you propose? That we remove any black character? That’s another level of garbage and it seems like people only complain BECAUSE they don’t learn how to find darker survivors regardless. Stop complaining about a non-issue. Claudette is fine. You just need to get better at finding her, instead of giving off hints of racism in your rants.
  • I’ve experienced a hell of a lot over the years. People finding out my private info, harassment and cruelty towards myself and friends, hacking... but oddly enough the treatment I receive from this game is disheartening. Because I’m not being targeted because of any griefing I do... I get harassed because I perform better than those I face. I’ve yet to receive a hateful message from a Killer though... In fact, killers are often the friendliest. I had one survivor who wished me a merry Christmas out of the blue... and I’ve had several killers I wish I could have messaged, in praise. But due to the toxicity in this community... they block all forms of messaging. It’s saddening to say the least.
  • Mine:

    - The game is balanced. People just whine when they lose and blame it on specific perks/characters (looking at all of you who target Claudette for being “invisible” even though every other character has the same ability to dress dark).
    - Nea is just as pretty as any other girl who doesn’t wear make-up. Her Head-Case DLC shows how much make-up changes.
    - The Trapper is terrifying.
    - Spirit is too lewd for me.
  • Everyone. Though I can imagine it’d be brilliant on stealth killers, above all else.
  • Very surprised to see a P3 Nurse... oh well. Sorry to hear it. Just try not to get caught next time when the gates are available, especially if no one has died yet.
  • My first match in Dead By Daylight. Using a Claudette because of her healer sort of description, and this was right after Freddy’a release. I faced a Trapper and luckily got to powering the exit gates. I run away because the Trapper was coming and, whilst I distracted the Trapper with a nearby jungle gym, a David was opening the gates. The horns blare and the Trapper smacks David... and the gates glitch so that they won’t open. We all die aside from those that got to the other gate. And all I could think was...

    I love this game.
  • Hm. Botany, Iron Will, Calm Spirit and Technician. Works wonders against the Doctor, which is my least favourite killer to face.

But what about all of the other survivors? Do they get a pass in terms of being allowed darker clothing?

Claudette is small and dark. She can sneak around most maps with ease and not be seen unless it is the snow map or the Game. All other survivors are not camouflaged because they can be seen from a mile away. Can’t tell you how many times the ol’ bushes in front of the Myers house has work against killers.

Her default design isn’t dark. It has a rather bright colouring to it. You must be mainly complaining about her optional cosmetics. Prestige clothing for her does what it will to any other survivor: darken them. I don’t think it’s about her clothing but I’m starting to get the impression it’s because she and Adam are black characters. They are finely designed. As are all of the other characters. If you truly think her clothing is the problem then why not ask for darker clothing for the other characters?

I’m not personally complaining about Claudette’s design because I play her almost as much as I do Meg and I seem to be found with ease a lot of the time. I wear the green fitted shirt with brown pants and the dark violet hair.

Sure the prestige clothes with darken them but none other than Claudette. Are you trying to tell me that Kate is going to be just as hard to find as Claudette?

It’s not a matter of me complaining about Claudette’s design but making a clear observation that she is the hardest to find. You’ll find Kate and Meg clear across the map.

Other characters can have all the dark designs they want. Meg has an all black outfit, Feng has a dark green Sci-Fi shirt, Nea’s P3 outfit is dark. They still can’t hide in plain sight like Claudette.

I like Claudette’s design and think she is really good for stealthing but A LOT of people play her and to some players it is frustrating to see four P3 ninja Claudette’s in their lobby. I’m just a potato and suffer from corn blindess so I normally lobby dodge if more than two Claudette’s join.

Actually, yeah, I do think they’d be as hard to find. I think it’s not only the cosmetics but good players leaving no trail to where they are hiding. Claudette is not a problem if the player behind the character is terrible. But I don’t see what differentiates Claudette or Adam from the others. They are just as invisible as the player can make them.
  • Tbh I’m scared for dedicated servers. People complain about killers being underpowered. But those within areas where fibre connections are unavailable will be severely damaged by no longer having the game be focused on drawing from their internet.

On everything I thought the same thing but didn’t want to come out and say it Bc I didn’t want to pull the racism card on an assumption.
But given how people word themselves it certainly seems that, no matter how you try to explain how other survivors can be equally as dark, they only seem to complain about Claudette and Adam, a.k.a the only two black characters that aren’t licensed.

  • I’d have built in Botany Knowledge, but lessened to only include the efficiency. I’m a fan of Class based games, and from Claudette’s description she seems focused on healing. But due to my want to be stealthy I’m often already destroying two perk slots with Urban Evasion or Iron Will.
