  • They should do the kids mom and then give her a goth skin but it's actually a Lydia skin from JuicyBeetle.

  • It would benefit some killers for sure but jukes shouldn't be much of a problem as is. I get got by one or two here and there but you just give it a second and get them at the end of their ballerina move, not much different than how you deal with DH. I play with a controller on PC most of the time too where they've got them super high tech futuristic KB&M moves. I had to stop to play a game in the middle of typing this and somebody got me with one but it was in the god forsaken cornfield.

  • All I know is he spits hot fire..

  • Losing the crazy noises kind of outweighed making him easier to kick out of stealth. I use the stalk about as much as I did before the changes which isn't much. Breaking past a safety with him at high ranks can be a challenge though for sure.

  • @PalletOrWhat said:

I am glad that they have chosen Dream Snares over Dream Pallets.. lets wait and see how playable he is going to be in high ranks

It's a good move as it's the only way he'll be able to handle some loops. It's hard to say without playing him first but I feel like I'll opt for the pallet add-on and just run Bamboozle to deal with the crazier loops.

  • More hurt feels talkin' about other peoples hurt feels. Let's go the other route and go all out with personal attacks and trade in discussion for a strait up popularity contest. That sounds like the most constructive route in my opinion.

  • @Horus said:

Anything negative in the devs safe space must be removed at all costs

They get more mud slung on them than everybody else combined and they allow it. You can't pretend peoples feels are too sensitive when you guys are upset over losing a silly down vote button. The vote up button does the same thing if you want to feel like you've gotten one over on somebody by rallying up a big enough mob and saying witch. It only takes half the work now too. 😀

yes, the game is poorly optimized

one thing i've noticed that is specific to this patch is there seems to be a memory leak; the longer the game is open the more it freezes when transitioning between menus, though this has little in-game consequences

I know it's been doing it since 3.0.1 and maybe even the patch before that but I can't remember for sure.

  • I used to hate them as killer but seeing them up there is making me a little nostalgic.

  • Jack would be cool but we got two really stabby fellas already. I wouldn't be against another because I do get a strange gratification from it but he'd have to be stealth too so it might be tricky to make its own thing.

  • I was thinking about dumping my shards on it but then I decided to play survivor and was met with a camping speed Wraith and I didn't want to look at him anymore. I need to unlock DS for my Brucey Baby.

For me it’s more like “THIS IS HERE??”

For the life of me I can NEVER find the entrance to the basement when it’s beneath the Ormond lodge!

Yep I've got a decent amount of time in the game and if it's not under the killer shack I usually wont even waste my time trying to carry someone there unless I've scoped it out first.

@NoShinyPony Yeah, but sadly zero of my friends or family play DBD, and I don't use Steam enough to have friends on it. I own precisely three games on Steam: Borderlands 2, DBD, F13. So a KYF isn't doable.

There's this but I don't know how effective it is for finding people. I'd imagine there's a thread somewhere on the Steam discussions page. I've never played a single SWF game so it's something I should probably do sometime myself.

  • Likes in general just encourage herd mentality and only take away from discussion.

  • @altruistic said:

Too bad the player base is too small to split.

If I could play a not ranked mode to get away from all the sweaty DBD professionals, I might actually play again.

DC'ing lets you avoid ranking up, at the least. But to be honest, you can just get the killers attention and stand at the hook.

It's completely legitimate from a game rules point of view.

Even games with non-ranked modes have good people playing it to wreck the casuals. It's just not something you can escape completely in competitive games. I know why they made it easier to rank up as a survivor but it just replaced one problem with another in the end.

  • @tomikomPL said:

If you can choose in looby do you want to play against some survivors or dodge, i as survivor can also choose do i want to play against some kind of killer or not, so i instantly DCing from 4 killers and i already stoped care about teams as solo survivor, the same with killer who camps or tunnel i will DC, cause i dont wanna waste more of my time on boring game.

And under what conditions is it alright for the killer to dc?

  • @RakimSockem said:

Breaking ankles is fun. That's literally it. The chases.

I feel like it takes more skill to get away from a killer as a survivor than it does to play killer and catch a survivor.

As survivor, I'm always thinking "CAN I get away from this killer, or at least stall them long enough for my team to get things done.

As killer, I just think "I'm GOING to catch this person, it's only a matter of time." Things feel more guaranteed and therefore not as fun or thrilling

if killer was completely devoid of that feeling the game would be in a lot of trouble considering how many times you have to down everybody to win

So you admit to Rage quitting rather than play the game out and seeing what the killer brought. You are the problem with the game right now and honestly you need to be banned for pulling such a stunt. You are costing players 10+ mins in que if they are killer and its not even a certain fact that they brought a Mori they could have brought a shroud of separation.

Exactly and if they brought one it doesn't mean they want to mori everyone first chance they get and depip either. If I can make it past the lobby with a 4 man SFW toolbox squad you can deal with a mori.

Also leaving the game halfway through with a key isn't a free win but not having to hook everyone a third time is? I'm not sure I follow the logic.

  • I cursed myself with that last post and have had 3 gens going off during the first chase for the last two games. They need to give GF a bicycle add-on or something. Let's talk about fun fun fun..........

@paladin_goo not really, survivors still play like potatoes on low to mid ranks. Especially during the free weekend. There might be some people that go around the rank system to ruin the other peoples fun. But they are not the majority.

I think a lot of people did it for the double BP event because even though purple ranks had some tough matches it felt like a break after climbing out of the green this rank reset. Really red ranks has been easier than green was overall too. I've never had that much back to back SWF top tier item intense action before in the greens. My last game actually had someone in it with the handle "Chase Me Instead" that set under a hook and killed them self right away.

  • I get most of my hate just by running Franklins most of the time. I see some killer mains saying it's awful and whatnot, but you don't generate that kind of salt from a bad perk.

  • I haven't played a ton but I committed so him since release with no exceptions and crawled my way to rank five. I was a PIP away last week from being close to where I am now but I went on a losing streak and down 3 ranks. I'm going to stick with it until I either get to 1 or I blow a gasket in my head and start foaming out the mouth. Or just rank reset ... If I start to lose my mind I've got about 30 ebony moris saved up 😋

  • You do your first suggestion and survivors will have more time to finish gens even faster by not having to worry about saves as much. You do the second and Leatherface will move even further into having no appeal. IDK

  • We just need better totem spawns in general.

  • I'm going with an entire 4 man squad over alts. Wow!

No, I guess I am not much familiar with English :P

But I hope one can understand what I mean.

I understood but I decided to put it into Google and the first result was from Urban Dictionary and it wasn't what I was expecting.

  • Just fully compensating either way would solve most DCs because people usually do it just to spite the other person(s). I guess you run into the problem of people lobby dodging to have their friends rank them up, or doing it themselves with another device, but I cant imagine too many people going through all of that trouble. The few psychos that actually do it would deserve the boost from the effort it would take.

  • Apparently gaint is a slang word I wasn't familiar with. An interesting one at that.

I can't delete tags in my comments on the mobile forum. Like if I accidentally tagged the wrong person. I have to go to the draft page and delete the entire comment. Pretty silly.

I've found that if you click below the quote and spam the backspace really fast it will go away but it'll probably take a couple tries at least.

Cause OoO is dangerous to both sides. Free info on killer, free info on survivor. However, this info is much more powerful for survivors since you're always working as a group, so a killer will immediately make sure OoO is gone asap.

This^ Before opening the thread I was gonna guess some DS PTSD from back in the day but definitely this.

  • Realism and good gameplay don't really go hand and hand.

  • If there was a horse killer I would have no choice but to MANE them.

  • I played survivor with a controller on PC and was surprised how fast I began breaking him out while running. I guess that's what happens when you read how it works first. I have my controller sensitivity jacked up so maybe that helped but I know it isn't as hard as some people were saying.

  • Are the stretchy leather noises directional as well? Either way it should help alot. I already accepted that his expose ability is something that isn't going to get much use pre-nerf so I'm kind of whatever on the change. I was mainly using NS just to get people to go give their position away and complicate chases.

  • Tea bagging your Ruin in front of you that they just destroyed is disrespectful and should be punished but wasting the god pallet in front of you is a good thing.

  • Did mommy care when she put me to bed without hugging me!! Then why should I care?!?

Actually it is something you guys "can" fix but the question is will you? THE PROBLEM IS SIMPLE Bloodpoint Gains Survivors get nothing but Killers get a ton of bloodpoints you want this problem to stop FIX THE BLOODPOINT GAINS even if its a tiny buff to them you would see this issue fix itself.

Its Lame that ive got to wait 15 minutes for one killer game all because the devs are scared of fixing the bloodpoint gains.

I'm pretty sure that was the sort of thing being alluded to in the last couple sentences.

  • I don't play all the time but it isn't unusual when I do for the sun to go down and then back up again in the time I'm playing.

  • Most won't cleanse during the match but if they're equipped for Ruin they'll get your NOED fairly fast at end game the same way they get Ruin at the start, and you'll get maybe one hook out of it. If you get lucky with totem placement you might be able to guard it after a quick hook but that won't happen most of the time. It's pretty much a one hook or one kill situation either way against teams that play it smart. It's not worth a perk slot unless you're dedicating yourself to end game with your other perks imo. If you're playing at ranks where Ruin isn't the norm then you gotta take it upon yourself to be the totem guy if it's that much of a concern.

True, and MoM got nerfed also.

Double combo hit for killer queues.

The lobbies fill up fast once the Searching For Match text goes away. It seems longer but it's probably about the same as when it would instantly create a room and slowly fill up. Well for me and a few other people here at least that seems to be the case. I could guess but I'm not sure why some people are having such slow load time but a new killer is probably at least part of the problem. They were usually never too bad but survivor lobbies are super quick now for me. Someone posted a graph in another thread showing that the game is up four thousand and something players since last month. I get that you're not crazy about the MoM change but I highly doubt a lot of people are jumping ship just because of it.

Daily peak is around 23-25k so work with those numbers instead.

Also, there's no way of estimating what percentage of killer players will opt out when given the chance. Some players enjoy the challenge.

It also might be more accurate to measure the matches themselves rather than the number of groups at any given time.

A match has 1 killer and 4 survivors. Everyone else will sit in a queue until there are enough people so they shouldn't exactly be a part of the calculation.

It's not so much the challenge as much as I like to be spit on and laughed at.

I'm curious what system and region you all are playing on and in?

I am on PC and the US-west coast area and usually never have more than a 2-3 minute wait time as killer. Sometimes if I am on really late like 2AM+ it might increase to more than 3 minutes, but day/evening/night doesn't seem bad at all for me.

My download region on Steam is set to Chicago and I think I can find a killer match in about five minutes on average.

  • Keys are more akin to moris like somebody said in the other thread. Instas can really screw up the little momentum you had in a difficult match but there's still a chance to come back from it unlike multiple people getting a free hatch escape.

  • The rotating models were just added last update so you didn't miss out on too much of the spinning action.

I haven't had any issues detecting gf and most videos I've seen of people complaining don't fully center on him. They assume because he is in view it should be a quick pop even without keeping it steady during chase.

I tried it on PC with a controller and it wasn't that hard. While standing still I even revealed him on accident a few times. I think people didn't take the time to read how it works and went strait to complaining.

  • @OMagic_ManO said:

He is decent, I would run an anti loop build for him, Bamboozle, Fire Up, Brutal Strength, Barbecue, or Bamboozle, Fire Up, Enduring and Sprit Fury.

Yeah I traded one of my perks out for bamboozle because people knew there wasn't much he can do at the longer loops around the buildings. All you can do without it is go for somebody else and hope to get them down before they start running the same loop.

  • I was One PIP away from rank 5 Saturday night and got wrecked until I was One dePIP away from 8 using Ghostface. Maybe you are an amazing Ghostface but I've got a good amount of experience with M1s in this game and it was a real struggle as it usually is with that kind of killer against organised teams. I probably could of cut down on the losses if I would've capitalised on all of the basement hooks I had and just stopped playing nice in general but I try not to be a shitlord.

  • Yeah ten bucks for a digital outfit is a bit pricey. I only bought one skin with real money and mostly chalked it up as a donation for doing a pretty good job so far. The darker ones were kind of pay to win but they rectified that a little bit with the last update.

  • Heh I'm almost down 3 ranks as killer tonight but I'm gonna push it to the limit. I finally went to get some water and I'm hoping it helps because I'm blaming it on my brain being shriveled up from dehydration.
