Even equivalent, NOED = 2 health states. Adrenaline = one health state, only if not uninjured. Not equivalent.
They both throw one health state out the window in effect. The killer would have had to hit you once more but with Adrenaline they have to hit you twice and catch up with you after you take off like you've got a firecracker up your ass. With NOED they would have had to hit you twice but now it's only once and they also have a small speed boost. Adrenaline is not rewarding you for making it to the gens being powered anymore than NOED rewards the killer for guarding their totems until the gens are powered. Sure you might be uninjured at the end of the game but the killer might have also killed everybody by the end of the game or have had all of their totems cleansed. You get your speed boost regardless. The perks are pretty similar considering the difference in both roles. Adrenaline wouldn't be as common as it is if it weren't powerful.
SWF-s have another tool in their kit on top of its regular use as well. I can't count how many times I got someone down with one gen left and then here comes their buddy with a flashlight. You know Adrenaline is about to pop but you're forced to try to go down the other person because you're most likely going to lose your hook regardless.

Its literally impossible to get to red ranks on either side if you get tunneled and camped or only get one kill each game. There's a lie in here somewhere
I thought that but then remembered the "except Nurse" part. I'm still not so sure I believe though.

Ghostface seems to be popular with the young crowd who never seem to have heard of Halloween. That's probably why I fail to see the appeal.
They've got to be super young or from Antarctica or something. That's crazy. I'm guessing that they were introduced to Scream through the MTV series that I still haven't seen.
-
Oh yeah.. She's licenced derp

I'd either get Hag or Pig. Ruin is the only way you'll stand a chance against efficient teams and Hag is probably the overall best killer out of the ones you don't have. I used to pretty much exclusively play pig for a while after she was released but her end game ability was always a big thing for me. Surveillance is also one of the best perks in the game imo though.
-
Keys being single person use is one of those things that would help both sides. Killers don't basically end up with a DC without compensation and solos don't have to be left alone with the killer when they're paired with a 2 or 3 man SWF that thought the game got a little too challenging and decided to bail out. Good survivor add-ons aren't hard to stack up on if you use Plunderers and Ace in the Hole so they aren't all that rare in reality and being able to further stretch them out even further between four people potentially granted one has a map is probably a bit much.
I don't know how I feel about instas. I guess it comes down to how many second chances you think a survivor should be able to stack in their kit. Ebony Moris needing 2 or 3 different people hooked so it doesn't turn into a ######### show for one person wouldn't be bad either.

If your a complete noob maybe
I'm a purple right now which means going against purps and reds and I've been getting quite a few of the half way grabs where the animation starts but then turns to a slash, and also some full on grabs here and there. I haven't tried M&A since the PTB but I was getting a bunch on there in the games where people were actually trying to play. Even without altering your TR it's still probably not always easy to hear in time when the gens are getting close to done and chugging real loud.
-
You can still get far away to hide and sometimes catch people going for the save. I had fun hiding near the abandoned gens while people were making saves and popping out on them when they got back.
-
Although more is the merrier it hurts the killer too beings there are less caked stacked and you benefit from the killers also so I wouldn't call it unfair. It probably is a prestiged character issue because I had a decent amount of games with three or four cakes being brought in.
-
Earlier I had someone I'm pretty sure accidentally sandbag their teammate because he seen me around the corner with OoO and threw a pallet down without knowing I was in a chase. I gave the person I was after a little room to basically start the chase over but that didn't stop them from going off on the OoO guy after the game.

Yeah, but apparently Killers complained about it made the game "too difficult" and Survivors complained about how it "promoted camping."
Both are ludicrous statements
I guess they both make sense at lower ranks but both fall apart fairly quickly once the players on both sides become more skilled. That's a majority of the this or that needing nerfed complaints in general though. I watched a video that was recently uploaded at the time earlier with 20K views and the chat had a good number of "GF OP" comments and the people playing said he was OP too. Then I see their ranks after the game and the best rank was 17 out of all five of them in a KYF game.
-
I tried to get it with Trapper the other day and it was just pure misery. I guess I should have done it a while back or maybe not play for a few months before I do it again.
-
I used it for the first type ever when I decided to give Hag another whirl and luckily they got my Ruin first so I was able to get all my tokens but I figured I'd stop there because that kind of luck has to be rare. Someone after the game did say something like "you think you're good using DH".
-
The chase music is so low now that it almost sounds out of place like the killers ringtone is going off or something. Being able to hear is important in the game so I don't see it as a bad thing having it moved aside but ambient music lacking drums so it isn't confusing at a slightly louder volume would probably be a better fit than the old chase music being super low to the point that it just sounds weird. I've mistaken the sound of the GF wind turbine for girls crying so I guess even ambient music can be confusing.
I think it was a David I pulled out of a locker earlier and his scream sound didn't play.

If you think he's OP is then all I can tell you is to try to climb the ranks with him. Enjoy hardly being able to even make use of his exposed power because gens are flying by and you cant waste time trying to sneak around. You'll face your share of teams that will throw you into the lockers and give you swirlies in Plagues fountains and probably come to the conclusion that he's not even close to the top 3.
As for the realism argument do you want the same thing done to Myers because following people around while walking really slowly as they run from you isn't exactly stalking either. Killers have to have powers that make them able to have a chance at carrying out their objective. Like DoS up here said people were breaking me out of Shroud constantly all day. It has to be some kind of controller issue or people are complaining about it before they take the time to figure it out.
I still have builds to try but as of right now I don't think he's anywhere near OP against good teams.
-
I was going insane trying to get Trappers the other day. I never got it and gave up eventually. I guess I should have gotten them a long time ago or I'll have to remember to give it a try the next time I don't play for a few months.
-
I wonder how many people having detection issues were using a controller because i'm getting knocked out of stalk be it chase or no chase pretty quick. I wont even attempt it while moving unless I get it pretty close to full while peaking around a corner, or staying ducked some place with great cover and that can vary a lot in availability.
-
I doubt he'll ever be able to be consistent at the highest ranks but it's still kind of hard to tell where he'll fall beings people on both ends still haven't completely felt him out. I was on a streak of getting spanked until I just started stabbing people. They're already getting comfortable having a little time extra while you stalk so you can usually just go in and get your first hit easy it seems.

Are you using Prayer Beads Spirit? Grabs are still buggy but I think you’ll have the easiest time getting them by playing her.

My first game was people unhooking in front of me, hopping in front of me to sabo hooks, going for the save on a downed surv right in front of me because another person is breaking a totem right in front of me. Most of my hits came from detecting them with NC and them making bad moves. Then after the match one says "OP much"? This is why we can't have nice things. With as many bad plays as they made they still broke me from stealth in chase like 3 time times so idk.
-
I doubt you'll be getting gen grabs like I was in the PTB without it. It gives him actual stealth unless you're in a chase, in which case it becomes irrelevant, or maybe possibly beneficial with people on gens thinking you're closer than you are. Someone told me after a game it made dem poopy dem pants with one of them yoinks.

? so killers complain about gen rush and when surv want to sabotage which is wasting survivor time and give killer more lenght game they actually complain .
The time they waste to get a hook to 99 is nothing compared to the time a killer wastes downing a good survivor on an organized team to just have the hook cut down before they can get there.
-
I don't know but I do know I want to get in before everyone figures out the best ways of countering him to get a taste of this thing called fun of I've been hearing about from people on the other side.

I got an itch I need to scratch! I guess it gives me time to get my BPs up again though.

Absolutely!
These maps are unacceptably large.
I think killers should start being like survivors with the old legion : get an insane map, DC right away
Hello, Fog travellers! Welcome to the official Dead by Daylight forums. It was toward the bottom I think.
-
If the goal was to increase stealth you'd have to get rid of the second chance perks so survs don't feel like they can be all willy nilly and also get rid of the aura perks on both sides. For killer NC is the only one I really feel is worth a slot anymore. BBQ can be good at times but it's easy to counter and you can pretty much assume where people are going to be anyway after a hook. By the time you get to the ones far enough away they're already hiding in an area you'd likely be checking around in without it.
If DWM were a staple in my build I would just trade it out for a week and it probably wont be something you'll have to worry about much after that.

How many times you get 4k or 3k?
Why are kills so heavily focused on when it comes to balance when it doesn't mean a whole lot when it comes to actually winning AKA PIPing? I could probably pull decent kills with all of the killers if that were the goal but it would trash my score.

Franklin's demise for only 1 toolbox #########?
People ask me that after games when hardly anything was brought in or nothing sometimes. Usually the response is "I sure knocked a lot of stuff out your hands". They reply with "chests" and I reply with "exactly". I only use it as a constant on Spirit though but it's an good all around perk.

That's weird, during the event I had 2-3 Flashlights per match. Which managed to blind me countless times.
Maybe they don't need a buff...
I think the entire percentage of 3 and 4 man SWF teams showed up in my games today. I've had several games with 2 carrying flashlights and they can for sure still get you if they understand the timing. A little more than half the time they got me and the other half of the time I got my head up in the air right in the nick of time. Still wasting time before I can see again, having to maneuver around pallets and lockers so I don't catch another Head On, and then getting body blocked while trying to make it to hooks in time. Luckily the flashlight teams are usually way too altruistic from my experience to the point that I have to punish them and can make up for the drops. Combine that with sabos and it can be a nightmare but there wasn't too much of that today.
-
If you're playing killer you might as well bring what you want because survivors aren't necessarily being sweet hearts either. I've been seeing more insta-heals and top tier survivor add-ons than normal. Before my last game I noticed 3 Davids in the lobby so I brought my first ebony mori since the event and it felt good. I still hooked them all twice besides the one guy they let go into second state but I feel like just having it was a hit to the enemies morale.

Least scary and least threathening is Legion. How on Earth a girl like Susie would even pose a threat to guys like Tapp or David, used to manhandle punks and thugs every day? I find it ridiculous honestly.
A big knife can work wonders.
Pretty much what everybody already mentioned. I haven't played Hag very much but I still got the most LOLZ with her in the time I did. Watching somebody trigger a trap they didn't expect and to see their avatar twitch around as they flail their mouse hand is a hoot.
-
Man he so scary you poopy yourself when he ding dings. 😨
-
You should be able to shoot laser beams from your butt at prestige 3.
-
I played for a few hours as killer and everybody is going hard as they can it seems. I don't mind it though really and it's fun knocking peoples good gear from their hands before they can make it out of the exit gates. It feels rough but I've probably only lost a couple PIPs at the most. I'm gonna have to up the caffeine content quite a bit if I'm going to actually compete right now.
-
I fear corn more than any survivor but I'd go for the obvious Blendette if I had to pick one.
-
Just be glad you're not the worst player every game.
-
When I finally get a game it's gonna get crazy. Sucks being 275 BP-s away from a purple Ruin and a fourth perk slot though. If my calculations are correct I'll have him close to a solid loadout in about 25 hours. Does your bloodweb progression rollover to the main game once he's released?
-
It's probably easier now than it's ever been to get away from a killer chasing you strait off the hook but it's still going to be hard to carry out your objective if they really want your head. If everyone that complained about tunneling did their part to take the heat off of their teammates by baiting the killer in whatever way possible it wouldn't be much of an issue anymore.
When you're in a race against time you're going to go after your only visible option so you shouldn't be too mad about it happening when you're staying out of sight and not giving the killer any incentive to hunt elsewhere. Most of my frustration is directed toward my teammates when I get tunneled because they aren't doing anything to help besides safely waiting for the hook save points. I never get that mad about it though because it was my playing that got me caught in the first place, well beside the rare sandbag, but I know you can't always rely on your team. Really most of the things people complain about post game are things that I know could have been countered because I've seen it done enough times with people playing against me in the same exact situations.

Killers who insta ready are mostly nurses or insta chainsaw billys, that's my experience at least and survs dodge them by that.
hmm I always hit ready and then a lot of times minimize to do stuff on the net until the game's ready but I never took that into account. People do pop in and out of my lobbies a lot when I'm paying attention and I probably end up with more SWF players for that reason. Oh well...
It could have been a coincidence but I got the delayed Searching For Match long pause before creating a lobby as soon as I fired up the PTB for the first time on Friday. Then when I went back to playing the regular non-PTB game it was still like that. I was playing the regular game right before that so I wasn't sure if the game got updated or if it just carried over from the PTB files somehow. I'm pretty sure survivor was doing the same thing.

I actually like facing a spirit with prayer beads, It's so intense and getting grabbed off a gen makes the game actually scary. If i was facing it in all my survivor games I'd get tired of it but onec in a while its fun to have a scary game where your on edge.
There's no denying It's strong but it's a purple add on it's meant to be and besides you can still hear when she's coming she has footsteps and you can see the grass/corn moving.
I knew there there had to be a way to spot her still because people get off the gens right before I appear quite often while using it. It usually ensures a hit but grabs are kind of hit or miss with me.
-
I'm with the people that feel like having all of the information comm teams have would just throw a wrench into the core experience of playing survivor. I think it should be balanced by the way of limiting perks, items, and flat out restricting duplicate skins between SWF players, and adjustments in emblem scoring when playing SWF to discourage cheap tactics. Not just for the killers but the other nice chunk of survivors that play solo such as myself when I feel like taking on the role. Solo players at any given rank are going to most likely be better than people that got there playing SWF but that isn't going to reflect when the scoring is the same for both.
SWF, especially with comm is always going to give the edge to the people using it but beings there's no way to stop it there should be other measures taken to at least even the playing field a little without making SWF feel non-rewarding, or hurting solos in any way. Well I guess it would be non-rewarding in a walking all over the killer gg-ez sort of way for some people but I mean making it rewarding for the people that actually want competitive games.

I don't know why they thought to add that sound, does ANY other stealth Killer in this game make that much noise? No? Then ######### did they do it here?
Wraith is ''invisible'' so his advantage is not being seen. GF is not invisible so he can be seen but they thought it was a good idea for everyone to HEAR him too. The decision to do this is what's ridiculous, if they leave it in then I'm not buying him. Yes I made a thread praising them for GF but it was about the concept and that he'd be really fun when he was fixed. He shouldn't have to be ''fixed'' it should be obvious that if you want to sneak up behind someone and slit their throat you'd want to be stealthy and not heard.
Asymmetrical game game, 1 power role and then there's the group role, where's the power role in these Killers? The Survivors should be scared and complaining OP but the Killers have been doing that ######### for years.
I'm starting to think these people don't know what it takes to sneak up behind someone to slit their throat. It's the sad reality of the world today.

The new version of DS is imho way better, since it feels fair and not toxic like it used to be. The only thing they should change is, that it should be activated, once you get downed again during the 60 sec (so you cant get slugged)
it would also give my memory a second chance to activate after I forget who I hooked last and just think the person is baiting me away from their friend because they're better
