He TRIED but still failed to do so. Leads me to believe he's never done it before.

No, he tried with the confidence of someone that's done it before.

    Yeah.

Beetlejuice isn't a murderer. At least we don't see it in the movie. Second, he's not scary and not meant to be.

Did we watch different movies?!? He straight up tried to murder a couple of people... Not saying he'd be good in DBD, but he's no angel.

  • Sounds have been bugged for a while now. Very annoying.

How is body blocking toxic? It's a strategy that works and is incorporated into the game. There are even achievements for taking hits. The toxic behavior is lashing out at someone for out playing you. You're welcome to chase said person, but what they did is not toxic by any means, no debate.

Camping and tunneling are also strategies that work, but survivors sure complain about those. Body blocking is 100% annoying when it's the fresh unhook with BT and is a guaranteed death sentence when done to me. Actively trying not to tunnel, and they run right in front of me. 15 second countdown, then you die.

Clicking a flashlight or jumping in and out of a locker aren't toxic. I do it daily to get the killer to come after me instead of the injured person. You'd be surprised how often it works. As for tea bagging - if someone clicking control is too much for someone's delicate sensibilities, they need to go play Minecraft.

Again - not liking something =! toxic.

They're absolutely toxic and that's the reason why it works on the dumb killers. Not me, I'm more like...

    mini-wait.jpg

  • This stupid tech irritated me, until Monto gave a tutorial of how to beat it. Basically, get to the side and look at the hook pole, then swing. Easy to defeat.

  • Basics of toxicity include t-bagging, flashlight clicking, spamming in and out of lockers to get attention. Annoying behavior that killers can take personally and call toxic include chain blinding, repetitive flashlight/head on/pallet saves, hook techs, grab dodging, and constantly running the god loops.

  • This game has one really steep learning curve. While the community is toxic, they're pretty forgiving of new players, which is rare online. Stick with it, watch Noob3 and Monto to get the basic idea, and watch Samination's parodies when you're feeling frustrated.

Should take a few days to adapt and start getting better.

  • Wraith, Hag, Plague, Nurse, and Ghostface. I can't stand playing just one killer for too long.

Well Ayrun used her a lot on his last streams and he did perfectly fine. Also, I have gone up against a lot of Nurses and some had 5k hours in the game so I dont think the killer was the issue on your matches (maybe you are just too good of a survivor lol)

Not really. Rank 8 survivor, they were just terrible as nurse.

Again, kill rates are linked to how good players are with the character. There are still god Nurse players out there who destroy Survivors with no need for add-ons.

The recent rework just made her harder to play, but she’s still the best Killer in the game.

Great players can make any of the killers look good. You have to look at the overall, and overall, she's crap. Again, this is all talk, I've backed up my claims, yet no one has shown proof of her being the best.

I understand how to play her. I can 4K against red rank survivors with her, but I can do the same thing with Hag or Ghostface, only way easier.

  • Their chart is showing sub 50%, but they say it's 51% further down. Either way, it's crap.

Just because someone's bad with a killer doesn't mean the killer is bad.

No, but no one playing her, and kill rates at 46% do make her a bad killer. Along with no lunge, no move speed, and no map pressure.

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/961526#Comment_961526

Survivors quickly going up to toxic ranks where they have high queue times and very little chance against killers their own rank, sounds survivor sided. I agree killer should black pip easier.

It is survivor sided, gives them an ego boost, making them think they're Noob3, plus they wind up playing against purple and green killers anyway.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

She’s fine as she is now. She’s still the strongest Killer in the game. Theses changes would make her even stronger than she was pre-rework.

I think people like you just read this crap on the forum and parrot it back, because she really isn't the strongest killer in the game. No lunge, no move speed, no map pressure. How many nurses have you gone against since the nerf? How have you fared against them? How many streamers play her at high ranks on a regular basis? How do they do with her?

I've gone against two nurses and I easily escaped both times. Like she got one or two hooks the entire game.

  • The emblem system, much like everything else BHVR does is stupidly survivor sided. Anyone DC's should be an automatic black pip.

  • @Kbot22 said:

The try hard really comes out on double BP. You aren't getting tunneled bc of dead hard it is because of sweaty killers for bloodhunt

I don't get that either. I am nicer to people as killer. I give hatch nearly every time, I don't tunnel, I run party streamers, etc.

  • Got to be a glitch. I got mine off from gens and pallets.

  • I don't tunnel for deadhard, it's really only annoying vs nurse. If you break my totem..... Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You broke my totem. Prepare to die.

  • Easiest thing would be to eliminate black pips for survivors, or make it significantly harder to achieve. As it stands, unless you're a complete potato or get tunneled into oblivion, you're going to at least get a black pip.

Killer is opposite of that, you can work your butt off for only a black pip or depip.

Nothing about this game is realistic. Nothing. People don't repair engines with their bare hands. People aren't restricted from climbing fences or stacking objects to get over fences. People can't heal grievous wounds with 16 second back rubs. People aren't restricted from low crawling, running faster than a killer, or using objects or weapons to defend themselves. Flashlights don't wear out after 10 seconds of use. Escape hatches don't magically appear when convenient. But you are worried about how consistently chain saws start up...

The mechanic in me screams about how the generators run without cylinder heads.

  • @ABannedCat said:

And survivors shouldnt have a 3rd person camera. Killer should not have a terrorradius and red stain. Unhooked survivors should be in the dying state, and have no i-frames. Survivors should slow down on a hit, not speed up. Injured survivors should be slower than normal.

The list of realism changes would go on, and go. Do you want all of this implemented?

Yeah, but the realism should only apply to stuff that hurts the killer. Don't you know survivor logic?

You mistake more red rank killer for more killers. There is no shortage of killers playing this game.

I disagree, unless the number of red rank survivors is incredibly high. High enough to burn through all of the red, purple, and green rank killers.

how was it not a smart play? i had one dead bloodwarden on the last guy and two in the basement

Because you had one guy in the basement and one gen left. You could have downed him, found the last guy with bbq, and closed it out.

I still haven't had any problems finding games as Killer, queue's on Xbox NA Rank 1 are ~15 seconds.

Might be a PC thing then.

    @Waffleyumboy said:

Blood hunt always does this lmao. Gj mind gaming yourself.

No mind game at all. More players = more killers. Especially with double BP, since killer gets more BP's.

  • Not at all. It wasn't a smart play since you were giving the other guy time to do gens, but you weren't holding hostage. If you body block someone into a corner or a room, like the bathroom on the game, or the upstairs gen on Haddonfield, then just hold them there, that's a hostage situation.

  • I camp when the gens are done and I have no kills. I proxy camp as hag any time I play her, it's the most optimal way.

  • Immature and intelligence impaired bullies.

  • Normally. I will still give hatch if they had really bad teammates or DC's.

  • Rank 9 killer, constantly getting 2's and 3's. I've adapted to get 2-4K's against them. Don't get me wrong, they've made me a better killer.

  • @BadMrFrosty said:

I'd honestly say the most frustrating thing in this game is the garbage tier servers they've bought. At least on peer-to-peer you'd get some solid games sprinkled in with the questionable ones. Now, since dedicated servers, 90% of my games have been consistently awful. I suppose it's nice to have something in this game that's consistent.. even if it's entirely negative.

I rarely have an issue with the servers. If it was on P2P, there's no way I could play the game as killer. Rural internet monopoly means I get 4.5mbps/512k, so 512K up isn't enough to be able to host.

  • Probably doing archives and dailies. I opened like 6 chests in one match earlier, because archive.

  • Killer is way more frustrating. Had a game tonight where a billy camped the basement and tunneled everyone off hook, no doubt trying to get the basement challenge done. I died and depipped, but it's nowhere near as annoying as getting DSed with the doors open.

  • Until you start running perkless, you have no room to talk about crutches. I love it when survivors gripe about NOED, while running Adrenaline, Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, and Decisive.

Im not saying make him less fun. I'm saying his power needs to be balanced. He gains a boost out of cloak, moves faster in cloak, has undetectable status, and no cooldown so if he whiffs the attack, and the survivor makes distance, he can just cloak and uncloak again.

His power is balanced, you slow coming out of cloak, then speed up. You want to make him an M1 killer.

  • Don't touch my Wraith man....I don't care if he's low tier, he's a load of fun to play.

105% MS would be ok. She was better on the Game before Iron Will and Spine Chill became meta. I find it to be survivor load out dependent. The bottom floor can be rough with all the LOS breaks.

105 would work too, it's just that she has no map pressure with the cooldown. Anything to give her a chance. I'm fine with LOS breaks as I am decent at predicting survivors, it's when the game decides that you can't blink through something, or it takes you three rooms away, or the DAMNED BASEMENT, that's when I want to throw my keyboard. I was legit looking UP at the sky and it still blinked me into the basement.

The current system is supposed to have a hard cap on rank differences, so even if killers were scarce you still would only match, if I remember correctly, at worst with one with 6 more or less ranks than you.

If what they said about the matchmaking bug is correct, it would explain both survivors having 7+ rank differences than the killer and the game trying to get rank 8 survivors to face a rank 14 killer like in this case, since game may be seeing the killer as a rank 8.

Also, the devs said the reason they cant fix the bug earlier is the holidays. About the Oni, well they have to put a lot more resources on the new content than fixing old content since they only have limited amount of people.

I started playing again back in late October. The survivor queue was instant and killer took 10 minutes. Now it's reversed and a matchmaking bug wouldn't cause that. Way more survivors than killers will cause that..

They released Oni "bugged", which he never should have made it past the PTB if he was. Bunch of streamers show him off, people are excited about a strong killer and buy. Then the nerf him into the ground. That looks like a blatant cash grab.

There is currently a lose-lose situation with the current matchmaking system. If they reduce the rank differences between people, the already long queue times would get much longer. And in the current condition we are having matches like this one.

Devs said that the 8-10 rank differences are due to a bug where the game is getting wrong information about the killers rank and they are going to fix it after the holidays. It should hopefully make it at least somewhat better.

I love how crap like the oni flick is fixed instantly, but game breaking crap like bugged lunges, bugged sound, and bugged matchmaking gets fixed at the mid chapter. I honestly don't think the matchmaking is a bug, I think they don't have killers playing any more.

Killers aren't simultaneously at odds with gen speed while refusing to use the strongest killer in the game.

If you're a competent Nurse and you get Autohaven, then yeah, chances are you'll be in good shape. Lery's, Hawkins, the Game? Oof. A corn map? Separates good Nurses from average Nurses, but she can still rock it. Red Forest or Ormond? Really hope you brought range add ons. My point is, while she still technically can be strong, she's very map dependent. That alone puts her more in line with Huntress in terms of power level at this point. A god tier Huntress will absolutely dominate on a favorable map, same as Nurse. And even a god tier Huntress will have severe limitations on an unfavorable map. Spirit will do 90% of what Nurse can do at peak Nurse capability, but Spirit will also outperform Nurse on many maps such as Lery's.

Yes, Nurse at her peak is better than any other killer. But she's the only killer that gets judged by her ceiling with a simultaneous disregard for her floor. And certain maps put a hard cap on her ceiling, regardless of how skilled the Nurse player is.

She's terrifying on The Game. Garbage on Lerys and Blackwater. She needs a buff of some kind really badly. Better lunge, 110MS, or revert the base kit. If you miss the lung out of blink, which happens WAY too much, you're never catching back up.

  • @PistolTimb said:

That's a 6 rank difference, which is allowed in the matchmaking system. Surprised it wasn't a rank 16 and a rank 4. That's been happening a lot apparently.

That 6 rank difference is BS, I've had them 7 and 8 above me, and I've seen it 10-15 ranks above.

I hate when people complain about end game combos when all you have to do to stop them is prevent the gens from getting done. I guess the argument do dull totems, not even an actual objective to counter noed is much better than the killer stopping gens from getting done to counter DS or Adrenaline, which is actually part of the killer's objective.

If only that was in the killers power, "just stop the gens", you make it sound so easy. Sorry, but when you go against optimized survivors, it can't be done. Tru3 just had a match against those kind, he juggled well, made smart decisions, played just about flawless, and still only had a draw.

well it is true for ds but if the survivor is hooked near the exit ds or not his teammates will save and body block him , honestly when I go against pop/ruin/bbq/noed my teammates will just fall apart and you know how bad solo is but I am tired of most killers on the forum just say all the survivors are loop + gen rush gods when in reality they are not most killers chase one person for 5 gens without switching targets lose the game then they go to the forums to complain 😶

You hook near the gate, and someone comes along and rescues off hook. You down the unhooker, and put him on. The guy that was just unhooked comes in, gets the unhook and you down him. Now you slug, because you KNOW he has DS, so you force the other survivors out, now you're screwed. Zero counter play at that point.

  • This game is supposed to be every man for himself. The SWF has made it a team game, but the core idea is working together against a common enemy, then every man for himself.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

and lets see how to counter those perks

    unbreakable = don't slug

    decisive strike = don't tunnel

dead hard = hug the survivor until he use it

borrowed time = go for the rescuer

    and there 4 useless perks

and it is pretty funny how you complain about survivors perks while killers use

pop goes the weasel + ruin = to make gens very hard to do

bbq = to find people without searching for them + it tells you which gen you want to go to pop goes the weasel it

noed = if those perks above did not get you the 4k noed will

DS is mainly a problem once the gates are open. Depending on where you down them, it's a guaranteed free escape. Can't pick em up or get hit with it, can't leave em on the ground because they can crawl to safety. I frequently tunnel just to burn the DS before the gates are powered.

DS either needs to not work at the EGC, or survivors can't crawl to escape if the killer is standing on the exit. Unbreakable and DS is annoying, again mostly at the EGC when people bumrush the hook.

I agree on dead hard, it's easy enough to counter by being patient. Annoying when used to be greedy on a loop, but not overly OP.

BT isn't that annoying either, until someone decides to body block. You body block me with BT, you just signed your death warrant. Had a guy do it last night, he body blocked, I waited the 15 seconds, downed him, ate DS, chased him down again, hooked him, then tunneled him directly off hook. He got 6K bloodpoints and I guarantee he depipped.

Pop/ruin and BBQ are good perks, but if you go against decent survivors, NOED never comes into play, because they destroy all of the totems.

  • Yes and no. First off, that video doesn't make sense as there's an audible notification that he just tiered up, so it would take incredibly stupid survivors to not realize what he's doing. I've had wraith do that with NOED. Just wait for the gens to be done, then wait at the gate with NOED. I've done something similar with NOED nurse. Insidious camping BEHIND the exit door.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwUgG0NNkU4

  • Pyramid Head, Mummy, and Pinhead are all good suggestions. I still want the shapeshifter from The Thing. Disguise itself as a survivor until it gets close, then it suddenly phases and the terror radius comes on. You would be paranoid of your teammates.

  • It's one of the strongest killer maps out there, you're smoking something if you really think this is going to be anything but a nerf. I'm predicting a bunch of doors being closed and more open generators to stop those mean old scratched mirror players from scaring the poor survivors.

  • Pop is the best. I usually run ruin and pop. Ruin to let me find them, then pop to snowball.

  • I think this pretty much sums it up...

Lmfao I know I know. I want to apologize to those that tried to convince me 😂🖤

I’m such a try-to-have-fun survivor that I’ve never encountered this stuff til recently. I had no idea how awful it is because my group is sooooo innocent in play. We’re probably the most noob-like reds/purples because we play for mostly scares.

Lol, I know. We are basically the same person, just a month or two apart. I too hated campers and tunneling until I started encountering these toxic tryhards, then it suddenly made sense.

Then I overcompensated by tunneling and being toxic myself. I've finally found the balance between playing my game and not playing theirs. Including knowing when to hit the basement and stare at a wall until they get the gens done, then force them out.

1 … 5 6 7 8 9 … 13
