  • You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain. Basically a lot of people refuse to take responsibility for anything, including online games. They're gods, and if they died it's clearly someone else's fault.

I've gotten the same hate, accused of tunneling, when I was actively NOT tunneling. Accused of camping for chasing a survivor that followed me to the hook, etc. I've stooped to their level, just like you did. Play how you want. Personally, I explain my case, drop a GG EZ, and leave the chat.

  • This game is situational. Most of the time, I play fair. No camping, no tunneling, not sweating too hard, etc.

Now, if someone gets hooked and I know his buddy is around, I am sure not going to leave the area, if you want to play stupid, it's not my fault. If I have a strong suspicion they're using DS, I will tunnel them just to get rid of it so it doesn't bite me at the EGC. That's not my fault, it's BHVR's for making DS so dang OP once the doors are open.

If you're being toxic, running god loops constantly, teabagging, flashlight clicking, chain blinding, etc; I won't chase you, but I will catch you eventually and you're going to die when I do.

Last night, I needed grabs for the challenge, so I used scratched mirror meyers on Lery's. Team of solid reds vs my rank 9. Two of them rage quit once they realized I had scratched mirror. There was zero chance of me getting ruthless, and the two remaining players asked for mercy, so we all farmed. They apologized to ME for the two dc's ruining the fun of scratched mirror

If someone played well, but their team cost them, I will give hatch or the door nearly every time.

Now, in your case, I wouldn't have played it like that unless it was the last generator. I wouldn't call you a good killer, but not a bad one either.

Only two people would be able to able to escape in this situation.

It's still two people escaping way before they should be able to. I find both keys and moris to be in bad taste and only use them if it's a daily or archive.

Please don’t start with “ranks don’t mean anything,” because while rank isn’t a clear indicator of skill I think we all can admit/agree that playing against people of a lower rank than you should be makes the game easier.

If you’re a killer do you depip so you can guarantee yourself getting 4ks against potatoes survivors?

As a survivor do you depip so you play against “less sweaty,” killers?

If you do, I appreciate the honesty, but just try to realize you are making the game unfun for those rank 15s you’re bullying just like the sweaty try hards in the red ranks made it unfun for you.

    What would other reasons be?

Matchmaking is screwed right now. Last night as a rank 10 killer, I went up against nothing but red ranked survivors with thousands of hours in the game. I did OK, but hardly dominated. For someone else, they might intentionally smurf to try and get players of their own skill level.

I wouldn't smurf, because In my opinion, I play well above my rank, I just don't play enough to quickly level.up, nor do I play my best killers all the time, so I occasionally depip.

Not to mention the hatch does close after 30 seconds, so it's not like the entire team will just know, unless it's a SWF

I've seen survivors motion for the others to follow them to the hatch.

  • @NoShinyPony said:

Not enough people playing killer, especially at higher ranks, which leads to long survivor queue times, again especially at higher ranks.

The now obvious "solution" is to have yellow & green & purple killers play against red rank survs all the time. This way, red rank survs won't suffer that much from bad queue times.

Whether this is a good idea and whether this will lead to even less people wanting to play killer in the long run, that's another topic.

Yeah, giving killer mains the middle finger with all of the nerfs hasn't exactly helped their cause, and new killers getting roflstomped by people they shouldn't be playing isn't going to help them either.

Tonight was exceptionally bad, I never got a match without at least two red ranks in the game with me, so I couldn't play some of my lesser killers. Had to bring my A game.

  • 2 gens left and the hatch spawns, you can then use the key to escape, and your friends can use the open hatch too. Same thing as a mori, allows you to end the game sooner.

  • Neither one is toxic. He shouldn't have chased you that long, but I understand the reasoning behind taking you out of the game.

  • Certain survivors and killers use this game as a bully fantasy. This guy was one of them. Ignore his crap and move on.

That's just obscene. I like a challenge too but when CoDs infamous "Skill based matchmaking" is somehow better than DbDs, there is serious problems.

The only good news here is that they are honing me into one hell of a killer. Just had a mix of red and purple rank survivors where I got merciless, one hatch escape, and 4 gens left.

  • No one talks about her because she's utter garbage to play at a high level.

It's a new dynamic. If my DS got added, killers will just have to play their cards differently. I play a little bit of killer and yeah DS is annoying as hell but on the other hand, once they use it, they're dead as soon as they're downed for their last hook unless this new buff gets added.

But with my suggestion, survivors can choose to save it for the last hook to save their life. We can't see survivor perks but this is why we predict. Most of the time at least at mid ranks and sometimes high ranks, it's all randoms that survive together including me. I'd use this more of as a well to stun the killer to get to the hatch incase I carried myself to be the last one standing or clutch a hook save. The way of this working can only go so many ways.

It's more than annoying, in fact, it's OP as all hell in the endgame collapse. I'm rank 9, just had a match against four rank 2 survivors. EGC hits, I have one on hook, the other injured right near the door. Stupid autoaim causes me to down the survivor that just got unhooked, giving the other guy time to escape. She is downed near the door, I can't wait out the 60 seconds because she can crawl to safety, and I can't pick her up because she has DS.

Absolutely nothing I can do in that situation except hope she misses it, which she didn't. Cost me a pip because there is zero counter play. I have no problem allowing it to be saved until death hook, so long as it's disabled once the doors are open.

  • Freddy wrecks me for one simple reason, I am red green colorblind. Really tough to spot his snares unless I'm on ormond.

  • 9000+ hours combined, not a single one under 2K hours in the game, third guy had 3500 hours. Got Brutal killer, one kill, and two on death hook. I have 114 hours in the game. I like a challenge, but this is ridiculous.

Last post to you, until I get my builds for the other guy. This is more of an informative post since you don’t know of the perks. Counter-perks to “gen rush” and “looping” which are the majority reason for tunneling

Nurse’s Calling - See auras of healing survivors

    Bamboozle - Blocks vault locations

BBQ - see other survivors when hooking a survivor

Bitter Murmur - see auras if survivors when a gen is completed

Corrupt Intervention - Blocks 3 farthest gens from you for up to 120 seconds.

    Coulrophobia - slows healing

Cruel Limits - blocks vault locations when a gen is completed

Discordance - Shows what gen has two or more survivors on it.

Fire up - gives a speed buff to killer for each gen completed

Franklins Demise - knock items from survivors

Devour Hope - Exposed status, possible Mori on token gain

    Haunted Grounds - Exposed Status

Huntress Lullaby - added regression for missed skill checks, no skill check warning, shorter window for skill check and no sound.

No One Escapes Death - In its name.

Ruin - penalty for good skill checks, none for great.

Knock Out - no aura for dying survivors outside of range

Make Your Choice - Exposed Status for unhooking

Mindbreaker - exhausted status for gens repairing under 50%

    Overcharge - “impossible” skill check

Pop - 25% regression to gens after hooking survivor

Spirit Fury - Instantly destroys pallet

Surge - Putting a survivor into dying state pops surround gens and regresses them

Surveillance - all regressed gens are highlighted white, then yellow when regression is stopped

Tinkerer - when a gen is at 85% you have a 0 terror radius

Thanatophobia- up to 4% slowdown on survivor capabilities per injured survivor

Thrilling Tremors - All gens not being repaired are blocked for 16 seconds when a survivor is picked up

Unnerving Presence - increased chance of skill checks

Most of those don't do anything against a true gen rush. I'm talking all 5 gens are done in under 5 minutes. Nurses, BBQ, Coulor, Pop, Thanato, Franklins, and Surge all require catching a survivor quickly, which is garbage for the likes of hag or trapper. Haunted grounds only works with ruin, and if both get broken, you are down two perks for little gain, same for devour. Unnerving does nothing against good survivors, unless you're playing impossible skill check doctor.

    1. Remove Nurse blink cooldown.
    2. Get more randomized totem spawns
    3. Automatic black pip when survivor DC's. Round up to the nearest pip if killer DC's
    4. Add a second objective, like retrieving gas for the gens.
    5. Stop flashlights from blinding outside of killer FOV.

You're seriously comparing “gen-rush” to tunneling?

There are literally like 10+ perks for countering “gen-rush”. You claim I’m entitled, yet again, but completely let the point soar over your pea-sized brain.

Tunneling because of a “gen-rush” is acceptable. Tunneling before any gen has been completed is toxic.

What counters a tunnel? Especially, early game where the survivor has no chance to pip but will de-pip.

The tunneling I’m referring to, as has been mentioned, is.... when the killer is targeting one survivor despite maybe 0-1 gens been completed. Ignores other survivors and literally just goes for that one.

Nowhere here is there a sense of entitlement. Especially when I’m a KILLER MAIN that opposes early-game tunneling. If you are that bad that you’re only excuse to tunneling is “but gEn rUsH” then you need to practice more as killer or use viable perks to counter it. You can’t counter a tunnel. Yeah, your team might escape but you de-pip. This discussion isn’t about a TEAM it’s about a SINGLE SURVIVOR being penalized. Jesus.

    COMPREHENSION IS KEY.

Yes, because it's the same thing. No BP's, a depip, and a loss. Why should the killer always be reactive to what survivors do?

What 10 perks counter a gen rush? Ruin can go down instantly. Corrupt helps the early game, then nothing else. Pop works if you can catch and hook a survivor. Thanataphobia works if you can keep them injured, but still barely helps.

Borrowed time, DS, Iron Will, loops, quick and quiet, dance with me, lightweight, etc.

Again, you desperately want to label me as a bad killer and tunneler because I am disagreeing with you. I rarely tunnel any more, but I understand why killers do it.

You get tunneled, you depip, move on to the next game. Just like getting rushed and looped.

  • @ThisLadyRightHere said:

I get tunneled majority of my games for just being able to run a killer for more than 10 seconds. That completely unfair to me as you hate me because I’m not a potato survivor. I don’t teabag to be cocky I don’t abuse “god loops”. because I don’t even know what “god loops” are on most maps. Sometimes the killer will remember me and later again that day they will bring a mori just for me to take me out as quick as possible which again that unfair for me. If you know that someone is capable of consuming your time. Just leave them alone. You will maybe eventually catch them and when you do that doesn’t give you a reason to camp or tunnel them to the ground.

I really appreciate Killers who can acknowledge a decent survivors and not be offended.

There too many killer that be like “even though I tunneled you into the ground and killed you and only got a 1k” apparently I’m better than you. When in reality the survivor just made you look like a butthurt idiot.

In a case like this, I don't tunnel at all, in fact, I will actively not tunnel. I will slug you if I have to, but I won't instantly rehook. When you get a survivor that tries to abuse the god loops, or legit knows the map and how to abuse it, then I get into tunnel mode.

    @LustForBP said:

i honestly don’t believe a single one of you arguing in the killers favor can comprehend what I’ve laid out. AThiccOni is the only one with sense.

I made the discussion talking about killers that tunnel from start to finish. I can loop well actually, which ends up in me being tunneled and camped by angry killers. The majority of you on here are pathetic. I enjoy the people calling me a salty killer main when I’ve reiterated that I’m a killer main. Ignorance is bliss.

Instead of choosing to only see it from your perspective, open your eyes. Killers can counter a gen-rush as I’ve said multiple times. You can’t penalize a survivor for doing the objective. There are perks to slow this down or block it for a time limit.

You choose to tunnel because you choose to be a toxic player. The only time tunneling is necessary is when gens have been rushed and you’re trying to save tail.

Also, to whomever said “try tunneling/facecamping and check your stats” I have. It’s very simple to get a 4K tunneling or facecamping. You set the team into panic mode the majority of the time causing them to try and Bodyblock for their tunneled teammate. Thus, few or no gens get repaired.

but all of you, have a great day/night, whatever it may be for you. You’re a very toxic community with a one-dimensional perspective on killers. The excuse that you play both and see no issue in tunneling is ridiculous. No, I wasn’t the worst of the 4 in those games, I was with my group and the killer chose to tunnel me because he was too ignorant to drop a chase after an extended time and finally caught me. 👍🏽

Again, the entitlement is strong with this one. You don't want to penalize a survivor for doing the objective, but you do want to penalize the killer for doing the objective. Tunneling is the exact same as a gen rush, eliminating the objective as fast as possible. The only difference is that the generator doesn't run away. Gen rush = no pip for killer, tunneling = no pip for survivor. Gen rush has counters, so does tunneling.

  • @StrickxNyne said:

Killers don't want Gen rush then come to the forums demanding we Gen rush when they camp and tunnel then cry here gens go to fast. They demand we use DS/BT etc and they can't tunnel then come here and cry about how DS and BT are too strong. The bottom line is most are hypocrites and I watch most of them comment against survivors then cry when survivors do exactly what they say. Survivors want a chance at a fun game the killers in these forums act like survivors want a free pass to escape every time and act like they want survivors on hook starting the game. Survivors aren't demanding free or easy escapes, they're demanding their perks work as they once did and penalties exist so killers will finally make those perks useless instead of crying to devs for nerfs of those perks 😂 😂

The problem is that every killer and every survivor want different things. The OP is complaining about tunneling, but then said he used NOED on his killers, which will trigger 90% of other survivors.

The only time I hate BT and DS is when it screws me over in the EGC. That's why I will tunnel a little bit when I know someone has DS, just to eat it and have it not come back to haunt me in the EGC.

Far from an entitled survivor. You obviously choose to ignore my constant, constant reiterating of me being a killer main. Not chasing a looper isn’t the only counter to looping... you must not be very experienced at killer. Plenty of killers are natural anti-loopers and with a few add-ons completely nullify looping except for the occasional pro-looper.

I actually don’t use DS. I mostly run perks for altruism since I try to help my team as much as possible.

end game is different. If you tunnel from the get go that’s the issue. Each survivor is bound to be caught or at least chased by the killer once unless they completely just scale the walls and hide, which gets nothing done in favor of the survivors.

    Your excuses for tunneling are:

    1. Survivor is better than me so they deserve to be tunneled.
    2. Don’t get caught.
    3. Decisive Strike, a one and done perk.

In reality, I’m not an entitled survivor because I mostly play killer as it’s the fastest method for BP right now. I don’t tunnel, I rarely slug, and I don’t chase a better survivor unless I corner them or surprise them. I play with aggressive killer perks to prevent the need in tunneling.

You are an entitled killer because you don’t see the unfairness in tunneling. You claim to be a survivor main but defend something that makes it difficult to play survivor. Regardless if a killer kills everyone, tunneling is a petty tactic to target and eliminate one survivor. I main killer and I see the issue in tunneling. DS is not the cure all to it.

I know how to shut down loops with most killers, but since you're a killer main, you know that it's a constant time crunch. Say you have trapper, sure you can shut down the current loop, but the survivor will see it and bail, costing you precious time.

Yes, it's A ok to tunnel a survivor that's better than you, but if they're truly better than you, it's going to take a while to do it. It's a HORROR GAME, hiding is the whole idea. How many horror movies do you see where the killer gives the survivor multiple chances?

  • @LustForBP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/945085#Comment_945085

You admit you intentionally tunnel because a survivor is better than you. Take a minute to realize how toxic that is. If you play killer and you get looped for all 5 gens, that’s literally your fault and not the survivors. There are COUNTERS to LOOPING, there are NO COUNTERS to TUNNELING.

Killers are blessed with perks and add ons to eliminate survivors fairly quickly. A Mirrored Mike with the perks I’ve listed is a prime example. Survivors have no method of countering tunneling or hook camping. Yeah, there’s DS, but as I’ve mentioned, miss the skill check and gg and it’s a one and done perk. Meanwhile, a killer can stalk down the ONE survivor they chose to tunnel and rid them. You can’t complain about survivors having the capability of gen rushing when you risk all your time tunneling.

Maybe I should’ve specified my peeve against tunneling. You cannot counter it. No matter how good of a survivor you are, it takes one half-decent killer to ruin your game. Name a toxic survivor tactic that can’t be countered and is on the same level as Tunneling?

DS? One and done perk, possibility of missed skill check.

DH? Puts you in exhausted, if you fail you’re caught, slim chance of escape.

BT? Have to be in killers radius (Hook Campers) and lasts for one hit, has to mend self and can still be tunneled.

Gen Rush? Ruin, Thrilling Tremors, Corrupt Intervention, Thanatophobia, and probably missing other perks

It takes a really good 4-man survivor team to win or troll a killer. Most survivor teams consist of solo players or 2-man coms. So it’s 1v1-1-1-1

Most survivor speed perks result in exhausted. Tunneling is a legit unnecessary and toxic tactic that killers use as a petty maneuver as you’ve vastly expressed.

You are such an entitled survivor, it's not even funny. The counter to tunneling is to not get caught in the first place. Use stealth, use the 20+ pallets, use DS, use the exhaustion perk, etc. Your counter to looping is "don't chase that survivor", my counter to tunneling is "don't get caught by the killer". If you're rank 4, you shouldn't be missing a DS skill check.

As for me, I am using past examples, I absolutely tunneled before I got more experienced and I will still do it now if the game is lost and I am trying to safety pip. Had a survivor on The Game that knew the map well, he used every safe pallet optimally and ran me ragged. I switched targets, but he was always right there. Once he was out of pallets, you bet I tunneled him to death, because the doors were open and I had no other choice.

  • @LustForBP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/945049#Comment_945049

First, I’m far from mad. You’re a rank 13 killer and you’ve already started tunneling. At that rank, you should practice playing without tunneling. I play in red and I don’t tunnel and I get 3-4K every game. You have no legitimate reason for tunneling except the fact you get looped and have no counter for it. That’s toxic. Which is my point. Killers like you are toxic because someone is better than you.

If I’m being looped and cannot catch the survivor, I leave. I only worry about them when I catch them off guard. Looping is a survivors tool for survival. Very few survivors intentionally get into chases with a killer, and I avoid them as well. Survivors are limited in avoiding tunneling because it’s just that, focusing on one survivor. I’ve had survivor teammates body block for me and the killer still focuses on me.

It’s a terrible strategy actually and will only make you less effective at the game when you face a gen rushing team. If you can’t effectively kill off a squad without focusing solely on one survivor then you’re not a good killer. As I’ve listed, there are plenty of methods of clearing survivors without tunneling. I don’t even care about slugging because survivors have counter perks to that. When you tunnel, you eliminate a survivors chance to pip, gain BP, and enjoy the game. It’s a toxic tactic.

Actually I'm rank 9 now and routinely get brutal and merciless against red and purple ranks. Again, you're not reading, I leave when a survivor runs to the strong loops, I'm not stupid, but if I catch a strong survivor out in the open, the smart play is to eliminate that survivor early. At bare minimum, I tunnel them to get the DS out of the way, so it doesn't bite me at the EGC. Plus when they're on death hook, they tend to get a lot less bold.

Quite a few survivors intentionally get into a chase with the killer to buy time for the rest of the team. Looping is one thing, but being able to loop a killer for 5 minutes, which is literally all 5 gens, is what's getting you tunneled.

You say looping is a survivors tool for surviving, but can't recognize that tunneling is a killers tool for killing. Survivors have a ton of toxic tactics that they have NO PROBLEM abusing.

  • @LustForBP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/945022#Comment_945022

go back and read all I’ve posted. I’m an average red 4 survivor and main killer. I main clown and get 4ks nearly every day with him. So... what’s the problem? And you prove my point, killers are already stacked with perks, so why boost tunneling?

Just because you can, doesn't mean others can as well, especially with matchmaking bugged so horribly. Fact remains that tunneling is a valid and effective strategy. I used it quite a lot as a rank 13 killer going against red rank survivors, because it felt so damned good to kill the guy that ran me ragged. I've changed now, because there are more effective options, but if I get that one guy that knows the maps well, he will die once I catch him.

The bottom line here is that survivors will gripe about anything and everything when the game doesn't go exactly as they want. If you're good enough to run people for that long, then you're good enough to avoid them, do gens, unhook, and THEN run them to death and get your pip. It sounds like you want to poke the bear, then get mad when he bites you.

  • @LustForBP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/944980#Comment_944980

You’re exactly what’s wrong with the game then. If you spend your time chasing a survivor that’s better than you, you deserve to not get them. It’s very simple to avoid that survivor and go for another. If you have to tunnel out of spite because a survivor was better than you, you should reevaluate your standards on gameplay. Being toxic because someone’s better than you is pathetic.

i just proved to myself, how easy it is to not tunnel nor slug and still get a 4K. I did it in 2 games with 2 separate killers. Played reds/purples that attempted gen rushes. Here were my builds:

    Mirror Mike (Lvl 34):

Hex:Ruin, Hex: Haunted Grounds, Pop Goes the Weasel, Hex: Noed

    Wraith (Lvl 15):

    Predator, Ruin, Sloppy Butcher, Bloodhound

Did not slug, did not tunnel, killed all 4 survivors even chasing the last without closing hatch. So killers are already viable and tunneling just enables a toxic community.

Go back and read what I posted, I won't chase you that long. As soon as someone like you books it to a god loop, I back off, but once I pick off the weaker members of your team, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

That said, it's good strategy to get rid of a strong survivor if you get the opportunity. Besides, if you're "better" than the killer, you wouldn't be griping on here.

Lol, you run literally the strongest perks possible on meyers, which most survivors will give you crap about, and you run a map controlling beast of a killer and act like every killer can 4K while playing "fair". Go get clown or trapper and see how well you do.

  • Depending on the survivor set, playing "fair" will cause the killer to get no kills and depip himself.

There's no easy way to say this... If you run a killer for 5 minutes, you deserve to be tunneled and camped. The only way you're doing that is by running him towards the god loops, which is just as much BM as tunneling. I won't run someone like you, I will hit you, let you go to the strong loops and then go patrol the gens, but when I finally catch you, rest assured that you're going to die.

I don't think rank will ever truly represent skill in this game.

Exactly. I do well against red rank survivors as a level 9-10 killer. So either I am better than my ranking, or they are worse. Then in one game, I got absolutely decimated by some rank 15 survivors that had a few thousand hours in the game.

I play killer and survivor equally and there are different types of SWF.

There’s nothing wrong with SWF it’s the type of SWF that you get in your game when you are playing killer like I said if you bother to look. I’ve gotta different types of SWF, Tryhards, Babies, Memers, Casual, Farmers, Etc ETC. I can go on.

Maybe If you played a little less sweaty maybe you’ll see the different SWF every now and then and won’t come to the conclusion every SWF is broken sweaty 4 toolboxes, rainbow map and key team. Some SWF don’t even use comms.

Most of the time, SWF play stupid. They will follow you around, unhook people right in front you of, and try every cheesy move in the game. Usually these people are the ones that cry about tunneling and camping in the chat if you crush them, or try to get a rise out of you if they win.

I have encountered the ones that are trying to teach their friends how to play and I try to play as fair as possible in those situations.

  • It depends on what your definition of competitive is. My definition of a competitive video game is one that can be played at a professional level and balanced as such. Starcraft or Mortal Kombat for example.

DBD is competitive among it's player base, but it's not balanced around the top, more around the average gamer.

  • How about no? How about we remove DS and BT because it costs us a kill that we earned? Franklins is a very important tool, and it's not that hard to go pick your stuff back up.

I main Trapper and Michael i used to play pc but switched to console do to reasons but i do just as well its just why do i have to run franklins to just get by? I should be able to run whatever perks i want without fear of the game ending in 5 mins you feel me?

There's your problem. Both of those characters really have no early pressure, it's all about the midgame with Michael and late game with the Trapper. I always wind up getting gen rushed with them. With trapper, trap your totems and lurk close enough to defend it early. With Mikey, it's all about learning to 99% stalk, then pop it with multiple people around. That or use something like Fragrant Tuft of hair and concede the early gens, then wreck them in the late game.

Wraith with the speed while cloaked and see through walls is a force to be reckoned with.

Silent bell is fun for the grabs.

Yes he is. He's my new main, I really enjoy him. I don't feel like I'm under constant pressure, so I am far more relaxed.

  • Wraith is becoming my favorite killer. He's not nearly as craptastic as people make him out to be. I don't claim to be a god with him, but I held my own against a team of skilled red rank survivors.

    Shadow Born

    Ruin

    I'm all ears

Franklins/Thanataphobia depending on what their loadout is.

  • What killer are you playing? If I see more than one toolbox or flashlight, Franklins Demise goes on. Best advice is to apply as much pressure as possible. If you can show that you're competent, when you injure multiple people, they will start respecting you and stop to heal. Don't be afraid to slug people either.

If you're sick of getting rushed, get a high mobility killer like Billy or Wraith.

  • I get this all the time. Going against purple and red rank survivors has definitely upped my game. Since I get 2-4ks against rank 4's, when I actually get people in my own level 10 ranking, they don't stand a chance.

  • Just played a game as Wraith. Had this one survivor chain blinding at pallets, then vanishing into thin air. While searching for this guy, I found the hatch, close to an exit gate. Had two dead when the gens powered up, flashlight guy and a claudette. Found them both at the gate near the hatch, downed claudette and put her in the basement. Flashlight guy vanished again. He ran to the hatch and left Claudette to die. I ran to the hatch, body blocked it, closed it and killed him.

It was sweet, sweet revenge and why I love playing killer. He was a little salty.

  • Mostly depends on the mobility of a killer. If you can quickly find a survivor, then down him, things will likely be OK. If you give them 40 seconds on a gen, then another minute in the chase, you might as well quit, because you're going to lose.

  • Whats the problem? Looked like a good hit to me.

Are you kidding? You shouldn't even bother playing then. If you've played killer before servers you've given yourself an insane advantage.

Not kidding. Stuck on a rural internet monopoly and it's the best I can do. On dedicated I'm fine, right at 100ms of ping. I always played survivor before dedicated.

  • It's the equivalent of hiding your terror radius. When used on a blendette, it can easily get you out of mistakes.

  • Yes, you can still open the gates, but only if you didn't shut the hatch, and all gens are done. You just go up to it and hit space.

  • Toxic community that enjoy trolling people and getting a rise out of them.

  • You wouldn't see it near as often if killers didn't HAVE to run it. As it stands, you can lose in under 6 minutes if you get the right set of survivors.

  • STILL haven't gotten the trapper ones. How hard is to get 4 traps in a single match?!!?

  • I want a shapshifter or a hook man. Shifter could be fun, being disgusied as a survivor until you get so close, then suddenly you change and the terror radius appears.

  • i have 4.5mbps down and 512K up. You don't want me hosting matches as killer lol.

Don't like getting DS'd? Don't tunnel. Chase the unhooker not the recently hooked survivor. Genrushing is a term made up by sweaty killer mains who don't know how to apply pressure other than running ruin and BBQ.

I promise this game would be so much better if it weren't balanced around killers getting 4k's every game.

Kinda like tunneling is a made up term by salty survivors that can't escape killers.... I promise this game would be so much better if survivors couldn't escape in under 6 minutes.

I do hate Ruin in particular, but the other perks I'm fine with. Cause it feels like you need some skill to get good use out of the others. Whereas Ruin is just "here you go, free value for doing nothing." It's bad game design. I wish Ruin was weaker and perks like Thanatophobia were stronger, tbh.

You mean like dead hard, borrowed time, iron will, decisive strike, balanced landing, lithe, and most other survivor perks that allow you to make mistake after mistake and get away with it? One killer perk that doesn't require constant outsmarting of survivors isn't a problem.

Tbh it wouldn’t be a bad idea cause the problem as a solo survivor is that the minute there’s a Ruin, everyone hops off the gen to go look for the totem instead of powering through it. Then I’m stuck doing all five generators cause everyone goes down looking for the totem when all five could’ve been popped in the meantime. That’ll teach people to learn to just power through it instead of wasting time

I know. I'm a purple rank survivor and can get the greats about 75% of the time. No point in abandoning the gen when I hit three out of four skillchecks.
