I like plague where she's at, except for when I get smart players that actually cleanse. Everyone acts like her corrupt purge is OP, but all it does is turn her into a shorter range Huntress, but not cleansing turns her into unlimited T3 Meyers.
-
I play a lot more killer these days and I haven't encountered any toxic turds in a while, so pretty decent.

Erm....... Nope u ou trying to break the game more than it already is
How would it break the game? Great skillchecks would still defeat it and RNG wouldn't be a factor. The only downside I can think of would be that no one would ever cleanse haunted grounds again.
-
They force killer to pressure in order to rank up, but then don't give them the time or tools to do so. I gave up caring about the rankings since matchmaking is broken anyway.
Starcraft has the best ranking system in a game. You play 5 games to get an initial ranking, if you start winning most of your matches in your current rank, they pit you against players the next rank up. Win those and go up in rank, lose those and stay where you are. They don't base it on stupid stuff like in game kills or resources mined, they base it on whether or not you're winning a lot in your current player pool.

Fox is now part of Disney man. They own the world.
BTW I'm a huge Alien fan, but this is not the game for something like that.
I know, hence the disney reference, who are known to sue over crap like a mural in a daycare. They would never let a company like BHVR license one of their characters. I can see them giving exclusive rights to a company like EA in return for a mountain of cash and the souls of their firstborn.

Noob3, OTZ and Monto are my 3 favorite. Puppers is in there when he's playing with Noob or Monto.

The devs said they arent doing a killer that can shapeshift into a survivor countless times because SWF renders its power completely useless
SWF renders most killer powers completely useless. Trapper, Hag, Wraith, Spirit, Ghostface, Demo, and Freddy all get pretty much neutralized. A shifter would at least make them communicate every single time another survivor comes running in, plus it would really only be affected on a 4 man SWF.

Interesting concept. It does kinda sound like a cool concept, but the killers' power would work differently and cause issues I'd imagine. For example: Micheal vs Huntress. Huntress would have an advantage with her ranged capabilities.
Huntress is a problem, but she's the only ranged killer, so you would have to nerf her just a little in that mode.
-
Depends on the killer. If I have nurse, you're not getting out of this map alive, it's that simple. I crushed a team that were 7 ranks higher than me. I feel that spirit would be stupidly strong on this map as well.
An M1 killer makes it significantly harder. You need to break a ton of pallets, then get a survivor that doesn't know all the pallets are gone.

I could see the shapeshifter working like Freddy phase when you are awake. Shapeshifting into a killer after he gets so close and then all of a sudden that heart beat turns on. Yould literally be petrified every time you see a survivor coming towards the gen you are working on.
Exactly. It would make you very paranoid and could be a lot of fun for both killer and survivor.
-
It could work, but I don't really view it as a horror monster. I'm thinking more along the lines of The Thing.

Even though this has been said a million times, Alien. I've been asking for it since Myers got into the game, it's still my most anticipated chapter as it's too perfect not to be done.
Alien and Predator will never happen. Fox is worse than Disney when it comes to protecting their creations. I remember when they were suing people that made AvP mods with no monetary gain.
Hook man would make a good killer. Big urban legend and already in a few cheesy horror films. Supernatural's yellow eyed demon could be good. A scarecrow could be good too.
I wouldn't mind a shape shifting killer either. Something that could disguise itself as a survivor upon first glace.

Told the killer that this should not happen ever and that this is hopefully just a bug and he should not give up.
I did the same thing when a bunch of rank 8's-10's got a rank 20 huntress with no perks or addons. Only got one sympathy kill. You should NEVER be playing more than 3-4 ranks outside of your own.
-
Sound is bugged right now, which makes it very difficult to track survivors. What killer do you play?
-
They either have a sudden matchmaking bug, or a lot of the killers took exception to constant nerfs and the devs only fixing bugs that affect survivors. Personally, I think the killers have taken their ball and headed to Civ 5. I started playing again back in October, and the killer queue would take a good 5-7 minutes, and survivor was instant. Since the Oni and Legion nerf, those have reversed. Killer matches are instant, but I wind up against red ranks as a rank 10 killer.
-
I've done the AFK thing once as killer. Playing Trapper for archive, had ruin go down in 20 seconds, then two gens pop in the next 40 seconds before I ever got a down on the survivor I was chasing. Ironworks of misery, a survivor that knew the map, an M1 killer with no slowdown options, and a gen rush. The game was already over, I knew it, they knew it. I wasn't going to waste my time dealing with that crap, but I wasn't going to DC either. They wanted a gen repair simulation so bad, so I let them have it. I went to the basement, stared at a wall and read my book. Soon as the last gen popped, I opened the gate myself to force them out.
Game was lost, and I wasn't going to feed into their egos. It's no different than killing yourself on hook when you're going against a sweaty killer.
-
Two killers would be completely OP. However, if you had 8 survivors and 2 killers, but rather than have the killers work together, have them work with their own team of survivors, that could be interesting. So killer A is trying to get killer B's survivors, but killer B can attack/stop killer A, and vice versa.
-
Hag, Ghostface, and Nurse are 3 that I know very well. I am getting more and more confident with Wraith.
-
She's not fun right now for a few reasons. Barely any lunge is the most frustrating, which is ridiculous with the double cooldown. You BARELY miss a swing, which pisses you off anyway, but then it adds MORE time to the cooldown. It's also too easy to blink to a different level than the one you're on, which infuriates me. The final and most annoying feature is the god forsake autoaim, which targets the nearest pallet/bush/tree/anything but what you're aiming at.
-
I use it after being healed to say thank you. That's about it.
-
Flashlight saves in general are annoying, but not toxic. Running a purple with an odd bulb and sapphire lens so you can blind outside of the killer FOV, then following the killer around, just to bind. THAT is toxic.

How any of my arguments make less people play nurse? Every begginer in game would still try to play her, bumping the numbers up. And people that had easy matches with her extremely unfair addons loaded the game after the patch to play as a much harder killer, what also placed the kill rate a lot lower. Also, it is quite amusing how you label me a "survivor main that hated playing against nurse" because I disagree with you, really shows how open minded you are.
Oh I thought we were playing the assumption game, you assume I'm closed minded, and I assume you're a whiny survivor. You don't have to make that argument, the stats do, she's the least played killer, and if she were still the best, her kill rate would be through the roof.
-

And also, I know you are not someone willing to change your mind based on how you started this discussion but you can try to watch some streamers, most of them agree Nurse is in a good spot
If your argument held water, you would see fewer people playing, but at a much higher kill rate. Streamers aren't a good example either, because they only show their best matches when uploading to youtube.
Based on your comments, I think you're a survivor main that hated playing against old nurse, and enjoy how weak she actually is now.

I have 3 friends that main nurse and played her for thousands of hours, that tried the rework and said she is still fine you just can't ######### up a thousand times anymore. And also for you to talk like that you must have evidence about everything right?
So based on the experience of three friends, you're trying to say she's strong... The stats are showing that she's the least played killer and has the lowest kill rate.
I will admit that she is strong on certain maps. The Game and Haddonfield for example, she can mess you up. Any of the wide open maps though, that's a different story. A survivor can take off running after the initial hit and you cannot catch back up. You'll get close, but the double cooldown gives them distance again. Lery's is just the absolute worst, you don't know whats on the other side of the wall, so it can send you three rooms over from where you want to be.
Based on how often I get the add on that changes you to a 4.6ms killer after landing a blink attack, I think they want you to get the first hit with blink, then chase them down on foot, which is a terrible idea for nurse.
-
I feel like Ruin needs to remain as a perk, but not be a hex. If 4 survivors are healthy, it operates as it does now, but each survivor being injured will reduce it's effectiveness by 25%. If everyone is hurt, the gens can go fast, but the killer gets an M1 instadown. Heal back up and ruin comes back.
This would also give people a reason to run no mither.
-
I've been online gaming since 1998. Quake, Unreal Tournament, Starcraft, 7 Days to die, Battlefield, Combat Arms, Halo, Tribes, Left 4 Dead, Deep Rock Galactic, and many more. I've never encountered a bigger concentration of toxic people than here. Best to ignore them and move on, hope you find better teammates, that or SWF.
Now that I think about it, the world in general is more toxic than it's ever been. Sports, politics, gaming, traffic, etc. So much anger and frustration.

sometimes the killer will get the grab animation for a split second, but if the survivor let go in time it doesn't grab them and results in a hit.
Happened to me last night. Hit the button, grab animation started, then stopped. Didn't even give me a hit.

She is still the best in the right hands
Do you have any proof of this, or are you just talking out your butt?
-
Wait, you mean punishing the slowest killer in the game with a double cooldown and no lunge is going to far? You've got to be joking. If a survivor just books it to the opposite side of the map, you're out of luck. Need to buff her to at least 110% move speed or get rid of the cooldown.
-
Incredibly annoying because you can't punish it. The grab needs to be fixed to. A survivor should NOT be able to interrupt a grab.
-
If I've got you on the hook at EGC or with the gates 99%, you better hope someone is willing to take your place, or has borrowed time, because I'm not leaving. Survivors have this entitled attitude that you're supposed to leave the area right after a hook, regardless of circumstances.
If I know someone is in the area, or there are gens/pallets, of course I'm going to hang out.
-
Played a game last night. Ruin gone in under a minute and they were genrushing the crap out of me. I tunneled, got a 2K and a black pip, which is about as good as it gets at that point. Much salt from them after the game, and of course me tunneling isn't their fault, they were only genrushing because I was tunneling, even though two gens were gone before I downed the first survivor.
The only other times I will tunnel is if I KNOW they have DS and i want to burn it before it can hurt me at end game, or if someone is being really toxic. If you constantly run to the god loop every time you see me, you can bet you're getting tunneled when I do catch you.
-
If I notice it, I will help them, but they won't do the same for me. I needed ONE more trap to finish level 2, they had wrecked me, so I saw a survivior at the gate. I set the trap, motioned to it, and walked to the other side of the map. She disarmed it and ran.
-
Hag, but I also play a crapton of nurse and Ghostface. Hag is just fun to place as, even if her movement speed is garbage.
-
Really annoying when the sound glitches. I was guarding the basement at end game collapse, I heard something, but I couldn't figure out what. Someone unhooked in the basement, but it didn't make the right sound and I couldn't hear the injured survivors. Scared the crap out of me when I turned and had both in my face.

Nice, did not know you could blink behind the gate! Add blood warden to this and you got something!!
I didn't either, I accidentally went back there while chasing and it gave me the idea. Blood warden is a great idea, but I'm in the process of leveling Freddy, so I don't have it yet.
I did film that match if you'd like to get a look at it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwUgG0NNkU4&t= -
I too was getting angry at this, till I changed my mindset and tactics. First off, I don't care about pipping as killer since I am getting survivors way outside my rank anyway. Say I'm in a match where ruin goes down instantly, I'm using a weaker killer, and one survivor frustratingly loops me for two gens. The game is over, no point in stressing, hit the basement, look at a wall, and read a book until they escape. There's just no point in feeding into a survivors ego, if they want to be that sweaty, I will remove their fun.
Second thing, if you're on a losing streak, get a strong, easy to play killer with fun add on's. I myself love scratched mirror meyers on Lerys. I also enjoy playing gatekeeper nurse. Save the best for last, insidious, and noed. Play normally, but when the last gen is getting close, blink behind the exit door and use insidious. If you chose the right door, they open it and get one heck of a surprise.
The last though about this, is the really good survivors are like double bp's for my skill level. Once I play them, I will eventually get average survivors, and I stomp them.
-
The very first time I played, I was Bill, because of L4D, but the game stressed me too bad, so I quit after an hour.
When I started playing again, I went Nea because of Noob3, and trapper because of Samination.
-
Honestly, if they fixed Ruin spawns, make DS deactivate on another survivor hook, and stopped flashlights from blinding outside of FOV, it would be pretty balanced.
-
Rank is just a number. I crushed a team of rank 4-6 as a rank 10 killer, but I got crushed by a team of rank 15's with thousands of hours in the game.
-
When I did my gatekeeper nurse build, I technically tied, but I loved it because it was something new. I blinked behind the exit door with one gen left. Used insidious and noed, waited for it to open, then downed all 4, with two crawling to safety.
If I genuinely get outplayed, not due to bad map design, but because they juked me, or 360'ed , or vanished into thin air, then I can be satisfied with the loss.
-
30% - 70%
Rank 9 - Rank 11
I prefer killer, even though it's more stressful. Survivor has very little to do outside of gens, saves, and looping. Killer gets to plan stuff out and hunt. Plus I'm in control for the most part, I don't have to rely on potato survivors.
-
@Moobz said:
The devs dont care anymore about making it even or fair, im not trying to argue and there are exceptions but now i feel the devs are just milking as much money out as they can patch by patch, and i got the same feeling before evolve got shut down.
The only shady thing they've done is the Oni nerf. They let him go through the entire PTB and launch while "broken", because they knew people would watch the streamers, see how good he is, and want to buy. Once they made the money off the DLC, they nerf him hard. Doesn't matter if that was their intention or not, it's how it looks.
This game is next to impossible to balance properly due to the number or killers and vast difference in playstyle through the ranks. Killer is OP at ranks 12-20, and survivor is OP from ranks 1-8. I absolutely crush players in my own ranks now, thanks to broken matchmaking.
-
So you want people to gen rush even faster.... It would be better if they had to scrounge parts or tools to finish repairing the generator. It would at least give a second objective.

Yes i have, i play with out locator perks because i beleive it is a form of cheating but not the discussion i want to get into and i 4 man 80% of the time accounting for the people that dc.
Let me run you through my experience. Trying to get 4 traps as trapper to complete the 2nd archive. Trapper isn't my main, but I know how to play him. Ironworks of misery. Running ruin, brutal strength, unnerving presence, and iron grasp. Trapper bag and setting tools.
Game starts, 15 seconds later, ruin goes because a survivor spawned right on top of it. I trap the killer shack, trap the infinite in the middle, trap random pathways. Find a Nea on the way to get more traps and start chasing her. She runs to the opposite side of the map from where I've been. I get a single hit, then she loops me for 2 gens and a good 30 seconds. At this point, I have a survivor that knows the map too well, I have everyone gen rushing, and I can't get a single trap because everyone knows how to play against trapper. The game is already over, I have zero chance of pipping and I just don't care enough to chase.
I go to the basement, stare at a wall, and read my book until they finish the gens. I open the door myself just to get it over with. This whole time, they're jumping in and out of lockers, trying to get me to chase, but there is zero point because trapper doesn't have the tools to deal with a gen rush on that map, there are too many safe loops to trap.
-
Have you seen all of the killer nerfs as of late? Have you actually tried playing killer?
-
Works fine for everyone that uses it against me. I haven't seen it malfunction once.
-
Yes, the grabs are completely broken. I had one fail where I showed the survivor on my shoulder for the rest of the game. Couldn't do anything but let them farm.
-
If killer vs good survivors wasn't like the wet bandits vs Kevin McCallister, you would probably see a whole lot less camping. As it stands, you can camp the area and get other survivors off their gen rush. I don't do it often, but if they're going to be in the area, I'm not leaving. After a while, you get tired of feeling like this as killer....
-
Playing this game and expecting sportsmanship..... LOL. If you want good sportsmanship, go play Starcraft 2. If you want to deal with toxic survivors, play this.
