What is playing fair? Not tunneling? Camping, slugging? There's no such thing. Playing fair is actually playing "scummy" I guess. I mean, the game does favor survivors a alot and expecting a killer to play "fair" is just stupid. I'm putting myself at a massive disadvantage just by not tunneling or camping which is unfair because survivors do gens hella fast and abuse meta perks. Survivors do not play "fair" so that killers can have fun. Survivors do not care about killer fun and they just use meta perks to clap any killer. A killer who doesn't tunnel or camp is actually playing unfair because why should they care about survivor fun when killer fun doesn't even exist or get mentioned?
Play however you want to play.
You're the one that needs to have fun.
Your fun is different than mime, but well, life.
I'll move onto the next game and I'll forget.

That shouldnt be possible with power struggle though
Yes it would, killer walked back, it's like a normal pallet stun.
If they walk back, the don't get the stun

Cheesecake as a dessert because chocolate mousse isn't on.
HOWEVER, if I was ever offered a doughnut and happened to be after a meal, that would be a solid yes.
I can never say no to doughnuts.

Jeff is definitely the best hugger hands down, the real question is: which killer is the best hugger?🤔
I'll be honest, I may have a thing for Jeff's tattooed arms. Wouldn't not mind a hug from him

I may have arrived late to see old ormond.
But I like how dark The Game used to be.
It made me turn off the lights so I could see better and the atmosphere in general was more scary (scarier?).

Yeah, got the challenge after the match.
Ran to the basement and interacted but wondered why i still got the glyph in my hand :-)
Right? It feels as if you'd get something if you escape with it.
But, even though I died and lost it, it was completed.
I hope someone escapes and tells us.
-
BUBBA because I love when he spins around with his chainsaw and I feel like giving him a "good boy" hug.
And Myers because I am so effing terrified of him it would help me with my trauma if he hugged me instead of stabbing me and disposing me like a tissue full of bogeys.

Where are you putting your hands for a hug? 😂

I haven't nor will I use boil over (mai ly because I don't have Kate and don't plan on getting her).
But I did manage to escape twice with these new skill check thing today.
-
I understood I had to go to the basement because it said "dangerous place".
I carried it all game until I died.
I think it gave something extra if you fix it and leave, because why would you keep the glyph?
But I don't know 😭

Are you saying she's the most fun to PLAY or to PLAY AGAINST? Because I can tell you you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who loads into a match, finds out the killer is a Spirit and goes "Well I'm glad this is about to happen"
Yeah, I'm not a big fan.
I don't find matches particularly fun against her.
It tends to be a spirit with rancor, BBQ and whispers that "leaves the hook" only to phase back in when the survivor gets unhooked.

Sometimes it's because they are playing "the enemy" and others, their lobby is full.
Or so I think.

Actually I got unhooked and ran him for another gen and 1/2ish. But I left my cloak of invisibility in the lobby so it was my bad.
That's even worse...
Definitely not skill and 100% on you 🤦🏻♀️

Your objective is to escape, not run the killer for 5 gens. You made the choice not to focus on your individual objective and as a result, you did not complete your objective. So it's good that you had fun, but you simply had fun throwing your objective lol.
I don't think it was this person's goal when they went in. What I understand is that, yes, the goal was to escape when the match started, the killer found them and chased them.
This player was skillful enough to run the killer for 3 gens and got hooked and camped for the remaining 2.
That's the point they're making.
-
I am not sure.
This is the first game I've actually spent time learning about: lore, perks, playstyle and watched videos and tutorials about it.
I'd never done it about any other game before.
I must clarify I am pretty useless and that's why I don't play many games.
Shooter? Not killing nobody with my "aim".
This week I found out how long I've spent inside the game and it's embarrassing to say out loud because I still go down within seconds and run into dead areas (yeah, not good under pressure either, I guess I like as if it was real life lol).
I enjoy the fact that other people affect how the match is going to go: they can make it miserable or super fun. I expect the miserable outcome, but always hope for that small Ray of light when it turns out super fun.
So that's my why if that makes any sense.
-
I'll just comment because my user name says it all.
-
I used to think it was like a BT you apply to yourself.
Just when you're about to get hit, you press the button and the perk takes the hit for you so you don't get down.
I AM NOT SAYING THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE.
I'm just saying that's what I understood when I read about the perk (silly me).
-
-
🤣 Oh my days... Too much!
That reminded me, when I started playing I started noticing those long tall streetlights that resembled the gens.
-
@Fnatic47 said:
So i am a killer and should i kill survivors or should i be a real killer just before all gens been done and then be a good kil i am sorry a good person and open the gates for the survivors escape ?!... Since the end game collaps does nothing and survivors can still waiting near the exit gates for the last second to escape tbagging and all that.. What is the point of it i don t get it...
That actually sounds fun.
But I think perks that delay the opening of the doors would then be meta. Imagine the entire delay, be able to survive long enough for that to go for the gates to be closed again (and NOED lol). I'd cry in every match.

Well that's my issue, ignoring all the comments calling me a killer main my issue is also from a survivor point of view.
Adding a perk like this base just means people are more likely to trade and farm hooks which imo shouldn't be encouraged.
We stride further from rewarding and promoting skill every idea and patch, I want my survivors to understand how to play and play smart not just do stuff because they have base perks.
Its annoying to get farmed for sure, but this isnt a way to do it
True, I get that.
One way or the other, fair play is not rewarded.
-
@EntitySpawn said:
No one is even talking about this, when asked with a question about BT and DS being basekit he only said DS wasnt.
Personally I think this will be a bad change, itll encourage people to not bother going for safe saves as the person just gets out for free. Killers will get body blocked even more when they dont even wish to tunnel and last thing it frees up yet another perk slot
I hear ya, but it honestly pisses me off when the survivor coming to unhook is the one that has the killer chasing them and doesn't have BT so it feels like: well, I'm gonna die, so might as well take someone with me. It's ridiculous.
I had one yesterday that was being camped by the killer, so I went with my BT before struggle started. Went down and this effing idiot stays around me, bleeding, standing behind me and I honestly couldn't work it out.
Then I see it: called the killer by throwing a pallet, killers downs him, he uses DS and the stun to come unhook me without BT!
I'll let you work out what happened after.

Well true, it does suck for the survivor that is being camped and tunneled but that's due to the design of the game itself, currently camping is too rewarding for killer and should be changed.
That's why I think people are saying what's skill and what isn't.
Basing MMR on kills instead of hooks, would only promote more face camping and tunneling, getting more and more boring matches and eventually making players on both sides leave.
If all killers camp and tunnel to level up, they'll get to a point where they only find those survivors that are never caught and great at chases, leading to frustration from the killer (and leaving behind a good amount of pissed off survivors because they were the chosen ones over and over again and couldn't actually play) , I don't know, I'm tired.
But I don't think is a good idea overall.
I'd hate to hear the typical "get good" from either side, but we are not DBD gods out there and some would like to have a chance at playing than dying on first hook.
-
You can tunnel and camp and get more kills with one or two hooks than a killer that gets 8 hooks.
So, yes, hooks are higher skill than kills because it's the one vs. one that counts and kills are totally controlled by the killer.
Plus kills over hooks promotes the aforementioned camping and tunneling which is not fair on whichever survivor is unlucky enough to be first.

I know no one who does it with good intentions.
I only wait if someone is hurt and I can't tell where they are.
If there are three left and I see 2 of them by the gates, I run past them without acknowledging them.
Like: why do you have to stay there and take the mic?
-
I compare it to an addiction or gambling. It makes you suffer, but you live for those small exciting moments and that's what keeps you going.
It feeds on hope.
DBD is the first ever game I've invested time and effort in.
I didn't have video games growing up and don't have the mechanical background per se = I have butter hands and bad coordination. I recently got into Uncharted and Tomb raider (easy mode if super easy doesn't exist).
I started playing over a year ago and was interested in perks, builds, powers. Started watching videos on how to do things, etc. Something that I'd never understood before.
So yeah, this and coffee are my drugs.
-
I've only ever opened the door fully if I have that daily that makes me open it with X character.
But only if the other hasn't. If it has, tough luck and go again.
Can't risk blood warden lol

No, I was a survivor. The killer was ghostface.

It sounded like an old school telephone ring.
It was really confusing because I'd never heard it before.
-
Mine is always BT, Iron will and two others.
I mix windows of opportunity, kindred and the one which let's you sprint when you pallet-stun or the one that let's you see your own scratch marks.
-
It used to be that way. You had the option to escape being the last survivor.
Most times, killers would camp and see if you kobe or not. And no, not all respected the kobe lol.
I guess it promotes helping your teammates.
If you reach the end game and you haven't been hooked and the rest are on death hook, fmgo take a hook for them so at least 2 get out, no?
-
There are 5 totems in every map.
One hex = 20% chance of being out and visible and chances go up every hex you add.
Meat plant, Midwich or Leary would be great to make it more difficult to find totems, but I'm not sure how you feel about those maps.

I don’t mean end game chat, I mean where people go out of their way to look up your username and send you a personal message about how much you suck. As a killer main, every time, I get a "gg" I am always surprised because I think it is just more hate mail.
Well my friend, who is a survivor main, says he doesn't experience this. Do any other survivors out there share in his experience, or is the opposite true?
Whenever I have received a private message, it was another survivor.
Like, once I was trying to save a Steve that was on the floor and it'd be his 3rd hook, so I tried to distract huntress away from him.
I got a very nasty message because I wasted their DS lol.
How am I meant to know that, son?

Twerking contest when I see other survivors.
Head-on with Kate's perk that make the gen explode when you enter a locker is also jokes.
Boop the snoot.
Role playing:
Did bartender recently in Glenvale. Jokes.
Watched TV at the slaughter House too.
Defo going to try to teach at Midwich.
Butt dance with GG is jokes too.
Get up to a myers and look up if they're getting obsessed with you is so jokes (but I don't do that unless I know they're friendly because they scare the living crap out of me).
Only Dr. Manhattan know what else.

@Gigante said:
This perk is at 99,99% in my killer matches. It's extremely frustrating to be absolutely sure you were going to land the hit on the survivor and finally hook him up but suddenly the survivor dodged your hit and managed to get into another safe loop.
Dead Hard is a perk that you only need to be injured to activate. Oh really? Just that? This is considered the strongest Survivors perk and since it was released there has never been a significant change to it. It's ridiculous that the survivor can use this perk, get a considerable distance to a pallet and on top of that be IMMUNE to any hit. If Behavior makes a point of nerfing killers and perks that are being used a lot, why has this perk never been changed?
Main survivor here!
I only used dead hard when I was getting David's adept.
I try not to use any exhaustion perks to help me learn how to loop properly.
Not that it goes any well, but it makes me feel better about dying lol

So after some insanely frustrating games as Myers, I decided to let the Demogorgon out for a walk as I'm pretty confident on him these days. First two games - someone DCs instantly, then people give up. Ugh.
Next, get sent to The Game. Oh joy, looks like a full stack SWF. 4 cakes is always an indicator.
Actually end up doing pretty well with my 'sonar' build (Whistle+Lining) and wind up with David DCing on his second hook and everyone else on their last hook at 2 gens left. Some really fun chases, so I decide 'what the hell', I'll give them all the gate as they seem to be playing together, I like everyone to get BP and I've likely already got my ruthless.
Postgame (edited for content, assume it was 1000% worse):
Me: Fun game, well played all.
Tapp: Why you let us go?
Nea: Trash idiot killer.
Me: You were fun and brought me cakes, so you all get gate.
Me: Zuh?
Nea: lol private steam profile of course. scared of being told u suck?
Tapp: lol you think ur better than us?
Nea: babykiller noob get sick and die of cancer
Claudette: I hope u die ugly and slow
Claudette: dogcrap killer moron
Me: Geez, who hurt you?
Tapp: loser get a life
Nea: u aren't even human
Really should have screencapped that one for the collection.
This community, I swear. Some people just want to watch the world burn. And guess who's going to sweat that extra little bit tomorrow...
These people don't realise how hurtful that is and that it could push somebody over the edge?
It's unbelievable how effed up humanity is.

I think the more important thing is that Keys hurry up and get reworked or removed from the Survivor blood-web. That's 11 completely useless items that don't need to be in the survivor blood-web unless they do something.
I use keys with the add-on to see the killer's obsession when playing solo and I don't have firecrackers left
-
I do it if I get downed and the killer doesn't pick me up to let the others know I'm a tap away from getting up
