They must use video tape and camp one box... the one the survivor unfortunately needs. I think that it should backfire most of the time, and only get them one kill if lucky. But yeah, thats not fun for the unlucky survivor.

    @Triforcer said:

Pigs use the rare iri that makes all 4 survivors start with traps. If that pig goes afk in front of a box, somewhere between 0 and 4 of the keys are in that (inaccessible) box. The math is a bit complicated, but if even one gen is done there is roughly a 1 in 210 chance you 4K (and a 63 percent chance of at least one kill, etc.) since the survivors can’t check your box.

So there are 5 boxes. But they only need them if they finish a gen.

So if they all try to get out of the trap before doing a gen, mainly judging by the dead giveaway that y they all start with the traps, chances are, the killer is going to doubt their selection, or not, but at least they get maybe one survivor killed, not all 4.

    How are they getting 4k?

The whole point of the bear traps is stalling if you use them at the beginning, just don't do gens until everyone is free from them. If the killer is afk, you got nothing to lose.

  • I've seen this in discussions a lot and I don't fully understand what is it they do.

Is it when survivors start the game with the reversed bear trap?

And, if so, can they not take it off before doing a gen? What am I missing?

I don't like Steve because I watched stranger things he is annoying

    He's got a good arch.

First season he was a dick and then started hanging out with the kids and became decent

    Congrats! :)

Getting to iridescent can be a miserable experience in solo queue so props to you.

    Thanks!

I wasn't expecting it at all tbh. Playing at night and solo is a different world.

I just realised I got there and I was shocked.

Congrats! FYI you can't lose a grade once you have it so you can't fall below Iri 1 at this point, it's locked in for the rest of the cycle.

    Whaaaat? I didn't know that!

    That's awesome!

  • I don't think they enjoy it.

It's more of a "I feel miserable, because so and so (other survivors, bad game experience) and I'm going to at least make someone else feel the same way by tunneling.

Isn't Gideon's the same? I've never had a match where they didn't spawn opposite each other.

    Ah, true! My bad.

I was thinking about the original post that said they could camp both.

Gideon's also the same, but they are further apart.

  • Only Midwich has the same spawns. The rest are random.

  • If you see one with neon clothes, it's me.

And the reason I wear that is so I don't get confused for a blendette.

I mainly use blue hair Nea, some people take it as a sign of co cky ness, I use it because it's the only sking Nea's eyebrows and eyes are covered 😂

I've been using this event to level up my Steve and he's not really appreciated in game, why is that?

  • Are you asking for suggestions to help you sleep?

If I can't sleep, I don't listen to music. I put on "That Chapter" or "Thoughty2"

They're my nighty-night story tellers and I go down like a log.

-- I started playing this game when COVID-19 shut my workplace down. I had NEVER played an online video game before, so DBD was my first. I had watched other people play it on YT, but that was the extent.

-- I am definitely one of the oldest people who plays the game. Without revealing my actual age, let's just say that the huge majority of people I play against, I'm old enough to be their parent (or in some case, grandparent)

-- I had no concept of why anyone who purchase cosmetics for a character when I started playing. I convinced a friend to play with me initially, and my exact words to him at the time was, "Why would anyone waste money to look different? It's not changing how the game plays!". This was coming from someone who now has bought cosmetics on pretty much every survivor and killer in the game, and multiples on almost all of those. So much for what I thought then, lol. I also have never used Shards for outfits.

-- I have the least experience, and I'm the least capable, playing the "S-tier" killers. I'm still a baby Nurse (I play on console, FWIW), I almost never play Blight, and I rarely play Spirit. That said, I never had any incentive for the achievements, until the friend mentioned above gave me good-natured grief over not having any Adepts. Now, I proudly have all of the Killer Adepts (and nearly all of the trophies).

-- I can be ultra-competitive, but when I play killer, I give a LOT of hatches or doors, and I'm always willing to farm as Pig when someone Boops the Snoot. I can alternate from ruthless to embracing a meme literally in the same match at times.

-- I have no idea if I'm actually good at the game or not, half the time. My survivor skill has definitely improved, but I'm capable of really bad plays at times. As killer, I get spun far too often, and I mix in really great plays with completely potato ones literally in the span of seconds of the same match. I have really good game sense, but my eyesight and hearing aren't always the best. My results as killer and survivor are normally really good, but what does any of that mean? I'm somewhere in that great expanse of "total noob" and "Otz-level" player that the vast majority of people are in, I guess.

-- I refuse to bring in flashlights as survivor, simply because I can't use them to save my (or anyone else's) life. I rarely bring items at all into a match (unless it's part of a daily or Rift challenge), and I'm a hoarder/collector -- I've made sure that every survivor has at least one of a item/offering that's part of an event.

    Oh my days...

Nearly word by word! Except for the killer. I can't even follow scratch marks.

Also, I still don't spend money. I paid for my first rift last rift and that was it. Every skin I've got is with shards.

  • I wish I knew.

I think it's that one game that makes you believe in humanity again that keeps you going.

It's like chasing a high lol

  • I got over a 1000 hours in this game and I still go down like a noob.

I can tell you the perks the killer is running at the very beginning and I play according to that, I know pretty much all the totem, chest spawns but I can't loop for my life.

[I must say, I have no previous gaming experience, but I don't think that's a good enough reason after soe ding so much time in this game]

  • 100%

I'll get annoyed at how bad a teammate was/ how ######### I did / I was the one the killer decided to tunnel and I just close the game after the match. I don't even want to see scores.

5 minutes later: I'm sure it won't be the same this time.

I swear this is an addiction.

  • Halloween I think it was

  • I'd be happy with a mode that is only to play without perks from both sides.

One offering maybe. But it would be one offering for both sides. If all survivors choose one, there are only 25% chance per person.

  • No pongas inmortal con devoradora. Si acaso, pon tierra embrujada y tiras a uno de gratis.

Si pones inmortal y ven que no hay ruina, se olerán devoradora e irán a buscarlo.

Technically, yes. you're not supposed to collaborate with the killer in general, especially through messaging software. Survivors use that to sandbag each other all the time, and its not a built in feature for multiple reasons.

Nobody EVER has to cooperate with farming or cooperation with the opposing side. You ALWAYS have a choice in the matter, and there is no restriction nor requirement of such truces to happen. Again, the killer could have thanked you by just killing you and smacking you on hook until the timer ran out. Take the W and don't complain.

I'm starting to think this thread was bait and you and I went right in.

Being oblivious or blind is detrimental to the team because it's a negative effect on you that makes you play worse nd makes you weaker. Killers have entire abilities and perks revolving around inflicting these. If they aren't detrimental then that's evidence they need to be severely buffed.

    No, no, I get it.

So should we add to Mushwin's request of the killers allowing survivors to do their dailies that the rift challenges are also easy and not dangerous to do? That way, we make sure we get everything we want.

Not sure it'd be a game worth playing, but hey, two people in this forum would be happy.

Missed the "pl" in playing :D

My point is a Killer can hold the game as today, he was all wanting to just have the red glyph so we had a boring match, opened the gate for us to want us to leave my point is I had a challenge to do, but we had to pander to the whims of the killer

Damn right, he is the killer.

You live and have the audacity to be bored because they decided no blood would be shed today.

Please, just realise how silly this sounds.

@SunsetSherbet the fun of missions is that they take the focus away from gens/chase /doors and give you a little extra to do. Some of them involve a little risk, like being blind or not hearing the TR, I would not go that far as to call them detrimental for the team.

Unless, obviously, you run around like a headless chicken looking for the glyph and not being aware of your surroundings not knowing where the killer is, then yes that's detrimental, but that's the player's mentality, not the mission in itself.

Have you ever been farmed with no choice??? but then had to just do gens and such and et shoved out there by the killer on the exit gates? well welcome to what I had

I don't think I've ever farmed by choice.

It's the killer's as soon as they come in or however fast, brutally they usually murder two of the survivors. Killers have feelings and regret being nasty sometimes by farming.

Like I said, if you don't want to farm, don't.

You can stay AFK, do gens, ask the killer to hook you so you die, DC even!

In your case, you wanted to do your daily and it didn't work. Well, life. Hopefully at the next one.

I got let go of a match trying to do the adept and I was like: no, I want to earn this.

Should I complain? No, be glad and try again. It's really easy.

  • This comes across as slightly entitled... Or is it me?

[I, survivor, agree to farm with you, killer, in which scenario I also get points, but let me do my dailies as well, don't be selfish]

If you like farming, farm. If you don't, do gens and leave, but please don't go asking for things like this.

Just be glad it wasn't a match in which you got camped and/or tunneled and move on.

  • Self care is slow, but it does allow you to heal without another teammate, so...

I think it's fair that it's that speed.

Youre saying no strong perks deserve to be base kit but youre glad that BT might be basekit? Youre contradicting yourself, and even with 700 hours on surv id say BT is a strong perk.-

And they don't deserve to be basekit. The fact that I'd appreciate it because of bad experiences, doesn't mean I agree it should be basekit.

I said IF, IF they were to make it base kit. And I also said they should buff a killer's one equally to make it level. I said I don't think there is a way you can buff a killer for lithe.

Anyway, BT is to help each other and lithe is for self gain, so I don't think they're comparable.

  • Look, I get Lithe is a good perk.

I like my sprint to be controlable like lithe is, but no strong perk should be base kit. You have to decide what you're not going to use instead, end of the story.

If they end up doing BT base kit, which I would honestly appreciate, because I'm tired of having that slot wasted for randoms to be unhooking me without it after luring the killer to me, they would need to buff BBQ and have its radius reduced to 24m or something like that.

There is no way to balance lithe like that, for killers, so nope.

  • I always wondered why it was called SWF.

In my case it's more Die With Friends.

I play with different people, it's usually just me, and then I go into either a team with one friend or another, rarely it's 3 playing, and we honestly don't talk about the game apart from the random: #########, man's got BBQ or "I need to unhook because of my daily" kind of conversations.

There is a massive difference between SWF and "professional" competitive teams.

The reason this game is still as live as it is, is because you can play with friends, which is nice.

Don't put us all in the same bag.

  • Slippery meat: you have 6 attempts at escaping the hook. Same chances as before, but you don't call on the second stage.

Then someone might actually use it.

  • With NOED, as a survivor, I don't see the big deal and I don't think it needs nerfing.

Depending on how many people make it to end game, as soon as one gets the hit, the rest have the NOED sign imon screen. If you haven't done totems the entire game, run and find it. Then go for the save if you can.

A reason to always run kindred on solo queue, you can see what the rest are doing and act accordingly.

  • For a new starter I'd say Feng min, because of all three of her perks.

Helps you run away, see the killer's aura when they break something and you don't explode gens when you're learning skill checks.

For me, I can't live without iron will and by so I'd say Jake Park and Bill Overbeck

  • It creeps me out, and I think that's a good addition.

I'd really enjoy the option to get several different sounds as an extra, sounds like a good idea and bhvr wouldn't say no to making more money as a business

  • Couuld be both.

The fun and misery of solo queue is that we don't know what the others are bringing.

I know it's visible on the mobile version, but I am not sure it'd work on the game game.

I randomly change my build when bored to do something completely different in the game, like the shrine of offerings to the killer or head on with the fish perk that makes an explosion noise in the gen when you enter a locker.

    I'd prefer people didn't dodge me 😂

  • IMG_20210922_181636.jpg

Mine's this. It's in my hometown and I've lived away for quite a while now, so that's how I get to see the sea everyday.

  • I don't get the point of using a perk to make the killer leave you on the floor.

You might as well just ask to remove it if you don't like it.

It's eventually going to die down, like the rest of the perks they buff. Give it a few days and everyone will go back to their normal build

Kindred is a must for me playing solo. My games weren't too bad today but had one match where I died on first hook. I could see two working on the one gen and another just standing next to the gen. In another, I got to second stage because this meg decided to complete a gen right next to the hook I was on before saving me. I'm usually pretty calm because I know I'm far from great at this game but that did piss me off.

I found it useful to know where the killer is, but for my teammates? Nah, I don't think they even notice.

Your absolutely right, the last game I played, a Kate fed a Blight a hit, and because he had blood favor I went down. I then proceeded to die on hook, not once did anyone even make an attempt to save me.

It Hurst even more when you have kindred and they clearly see no kne is going for the save, but they still do gens.

One Nancy on a game, every time someone got hook, crouched at the other ######### end of the map and just tiptoed around (not sure what she was doing in between, but definitely not gens). She eventually goes down and suicides lol

Exactly? did you not read my post?

the fact that it’s only 4% makes it a tool for survivors to kill themselves on hook and essentially “rage quit” without rage quitting and receiving a leavers penalty. The amount of survivors that do this because they don’t like the fact that they were found first is staggering

that’s the main issue. The fact that it also screws over killers when it does actually work is just the cherry on top

I only use it if they are all so far away that I k ow I'm getting to second hook, so I take my 4%.

Like, they're on their way, just i possible to make it before I get to second.

I recently kobe'd on one of those occasions and the other teammate was as baffled as me and didn't react for a good few seconds 😂

Stopped right in her tracks, probably trying to see if I had any perk sign lol

The thing is, I did the drop action when they were in the pallet, it refused to drop till they left it. You can only activate the drop while the killer is standing within the stun zone, so this should not be possible

Fps difference? It's like when you stun and they hit you at the same time.

When I play with a friend that always shows as offline, he has to join me, I can't invite nor join.

I know very little about the silent Hill story so the horrors or w/e inside that secret room idk anything about them.

    It's only 2 specific gens.

Whenever they both spawn and you hear the bells when they are repaired.

It's always the gens in the music classroom(where the piano is) and the chem lab (where the periodic table is) that need to be done in order for the secret chest to activate.

Then, again, they don't always spawn.

You can also see if they are done by looking at the small metallic plaques either side of the door, I think they turn golden when done.
