  • This happened to me yesterday in Midwich!! 😭

A survivor was hooked and the other two (well, I don't exactly know what they were doing, running around together near the survivor, no killer in sight). I initially thought they were going, when I realised they weren't, I started running to him and found two snowmen blocking the only way up. I went inside one thinking I could go through that way, didn't work. Went inside the other one, got out to run faster. End result= I didn't make it.

I AM SO SORRY, RENATO. I TRIED MY BEST.

Also, a couple of games later, I got body-blocked by another snowman in chase and went down lol (but I found that funny).

Haven't played against hersince this most recent buff but overall I felt she was fair but a little buggy.

As killer sometimes hits that should land with her dog didnt, so frustrating, but also I liked her overall power and playstyle.

As survivor I felt like she gave me a good chance to counterplay, maybe even too much, and her dog was a bit too easy to avoid or bait into a pallet stun.

    Thank you!!

  • I play random perks with friends and there was this build that I found useful in solo-queue too (sorry if the perk names are wrong, my game is not in English and I translate how I can):

    • Serenity (Jane Romero): you see the killer's aura when you start on a gen (so 7 chances of locating the killer).
    • Leader (Dwight Fairfield): helps others do things faster AND heal you faster when they unhook you.
    • Star something (the lady from alien): make no noise when going inside a locker and locate the nearest gen and your teammates when exiting.
    • Kindred (generic): see the killer's aura within 16m of the hooked person. It gives you info whether you need to go save/stay on the gen

    Hope that helps.

  • @AlexXHunter44 said:

I've played against her 6-7 times but I wouldn't say she's common especially for a new killer.

And how is it? I mean, I can't wait and I am not someone that watches videos of matches, just the ones where they explain perks.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

For the same reasons survivors t-bag at the gate for as long as they can, flashlight click, t-bag and point after every pallet stun or hide without progressing the match in order to punish the killer for killing their teammates.

Entitled and/or Salty players who go on a power trip while playing this game because they're pathetic and powerless in real life.

This! I've seen this so many times as a survivor.

It's so petty when you save them from hook o ly to realise they tea-bag at gates. Like: you'd be dead if it weren't for me, why the heck are you tea bagging the killer?!

But I managed to pay it forward last night: I unhooked a survivor and protected him until he got to the door, only for him to start tea-bagging the killer, I saw that and moved away, he went down lol.

Don't be rude, it's not hard.

  • I once got tunneled out the game by a psn fellow and they messaged to say: sorry, I was being gen rushed hard.

I rarely get messages, I tend to send messages to teammates that have played well or tried to.

With killers, I honestly don't. If I escape, it sounds ironic, if I don't, it sounds ironic, so I just don't.

Pues cierto y me calmo.

Using it only to heal yourself definitely misses the point of the perk. It's a team perk, designed to have the team save a ridiculous amount of time by helping heal each other in a Boon area if the opportunity arises. Doesn't mean you can't self heal if there's no one else around. But if someone is sticking a gen over helping another heal while they're both inside the Boon is ridiculous. Heal the person, then both hop on gen. Enormous amount of time they just saved.

Would you consider it fair if only the person that set it can see the aura and blue area?

The rest would need to remember or be able to see the self heal button when in area, but nothing else.

The way the killer snuffs it out would not be affected

I belive there was a question about this in the player satisfaction survey.

I would love to have a offiline mode where you can just play the game against bots. Not the bots like in the tutorial but just like real DBD. I would love to have the ability to play every killer and it would make practicing the game so much more fun and also a lot easier. When playing survivor: It would be nice if you can choose the killer you're playing against or just set it to random. That way you can practice how to play against different killers.

I'm curious to see if people want a offline mode in DBD.😄

Ot could potentially help drive sales. Like, if you don't know whether you should buy a character, you try it out offline and see how that works.

I don't know how feasible it would be, though.

  • I got 6/7 full pages of perks and not once I paid for a DLC.

I got them from the shrine of secrets and leveling up free to get characters.

  • I've done it when other survivors have teamed up with the killer to get you killed. Last one was a couple of days ago when this Jill that had done nothing the entire game farmed every si gle survivor off the hook. I didn't realise until the killer caught up tk me that she was running around with him.

She'd unhook just to give the killer an additional hook and I found it disgusting so I rage-quit.

When it's killer toxicity, I tell myself that they're are trying to get me to rage quit and I won't give them that, so I don't. And I hadn't done it in ages before that Jill encounter.

  • My friend called "Iron will" the other day, the hamster and asked me why.

I was like: well, you're right a hamster doesn't make sense to iron will. It's Jake biting on a piece of wood.

    I found it hilarious

  • How would the power be?

    I'm thinking:

When Dr. Jekyll, used as when you're cloaked, you resemble a survivor. You can walk/run, etc.

When you uncloak and become Mr. Hyde, you become the monster and can attack.

That would be fun as hell.

Nerf CoH and DH. Reduce the number of pallets. Update outdated killers. Rework useless addons. Rework/buff bad perks. Make quality of life changes. Fix long standing bugs. Make the game playable on last gens. Allow console to adjust thier brightness and next gen to adjust some graphics settings. Add aim settings for controller. Rework SBMM. Just off the top if my head but I’m sure there’s plenty more.

I hear DH is getting nerfed. It will still have the speed boost by you won't be able to avoid damage.

I was talking to a friend that plays both killer and survivor yesterday and he said his main concern is the sound.

When you hit someone with dead hard, it makes the sound as if you'd injured them, thinking you've just downed them and therefore stopping and getting ready to pick up, which makes you lose time as killer, because the survivor keeps running.

I think taking away the sound would help.

  • I heard Canadians are super nice people in general. Like, yes, every place has good and bad people, but Canada has more nice people than not.

    Is that true?

Plus, it's the safe place in the Handmaid's Tale, is it not?

If it ever came to that, I would escape there.

  • Nea's Blue hair outfit. It used to come with blue sunglasses and they changed it to pink. 🤮

yeah, I used to work at a Mexican restaurant and there was a day I had to clean literal crap off the bathroom ceiling. Some people just ain't raised right.

It sounds like they were raised upside down 😂

    Sorry, not funny.

I really don't understand how any human being can ######### outside the toilet, let alone these crazy ceiling, walls, etc examples.

  • Well, thank you so much. I'll see how I can get this done. I'm not versed in these things.

The teabaggimg as such wasn't the issue, it was more of a: I'm here, but I'm going to to this instead of unhooking you because I want you to die on hook since I've been purposely trying to get the killer to catch you.

Luckily, I don't encounter these kind of players that often.

  • @Mooks said:

What do you mean when you say they were toxic? Are you sure it was a reportable offense?

a report needs an in-game report, otherwise it will be ignored. To report in-game you use the button right next to their BP score etc on the endgame screen, there you can report for the appropriate category. If it is for chat harassment that would be enough as the chat-log would be automatically attached to this in-game report (but I guess since you are in console that’s not the case). If it’s for DC/ragequit I think it’s also enough to just make this in-game report.

For any other reports you need to file an additional player report ticket to support (link below). There you need to fill in the info you have, for the Steam Id you can also type in the gamertag from other platforms but maybe mention in the description which platform you played on and if the reported player was crossplay or not. The clip should be uploaded to YouTube or something similar as the files would be too large for the website I think. You can then give the link in the description of the ticket.

well. Couldn’t be more confusing I guess. And I really really hope they will rework the report system… or at least give a better and easy to find description..

    https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

    Thanks for answering.

Well, this person decided to bring the killer to me and followed me around with the killer behind and pointing at me with the flashlight.

I eventually went down and got hooked, another teammate unhooked me (I think this is important because the toxic player was already teabagging and flashing the light at me) the killer downed and killed, then me again and I went on my second hook. The killer stood there while this player that had taken the killer to me, was tea bagging me and flashlighting me while I was hooked until I died.

This player also baited out several rescue attempts.

    Is that reportable?

I did the in-game button, but that didn't give me a link to report further.

If I upload it to YouTube, it will show this person's name, is that allowed?

I know the forum has this rule of no naming and shaming, would that be a problem?

I have escapated with it today. Nothing really happens, you dont get to keep it or anything but I got 25k bonus point. I think it might be from the offering but exactly 25k? thats suspicious. So it might be from escaping with the pocket mirror :)

    Yes, yes! You get 25k.

I managed to escape on the second glyph challenge and got the 25k too

  • Hey, I saw the first one and you focus a bit much on the weak link. He seemed fairly scared to be doing much if left alive.

Nea knew she could bait you on pallets because you seemed a bit scared at the beginning and eventually got her downed.

I'd use the pallet thrower to drop as many pallets as possible knowing that ruin is still active. So the rest have no protection.

You had a decent three gen in the making. They were an overly altruistic team as well. You nearly downed four at one point . Adam, most likely running tenacity was a hard one to leave on the floor, but Dwight and Nea were a bit dangerous. One of the on hook would hurt their match loads.

I don't know what to tell you.

I would have been over the moon with that result.

Try and trick them at the beginning by failing a hit or getting stunned, see how they react. If they get cocky, use it against them.

Use portals, I think there is an add on that takes away your TR and aura and that can really hurt them.

Based on this video, I'd say run thanatophobia and/or sloppy, it can make them waste a lot of time. If you see them doing a boon, ######### the chase and take it, make them waste time, you'll still be able to follow pools of blood, but you take their chances of healing and they have to light it up again.

By the way, I'd never seen the portal animation, like how you move from one to another on first person and it's amazing!

  • Where's the video, though?

I'm a bit useless and can't see anything on the post.

There are guides and tips on youtube why would somebody waste time for free to exlusivly help you?

The same way you wasted time typing your amswer to add no value, I guess.

@deKlaw_04 asked if anyone would like to.

I don't play killer, but I can have a look and maybe help predict some survivors strategies?

  • I wish I could my arms up when I crouch while running, that'd be hilarious.

  • @fogdonkey said:

Yeah, it is crazy and looks extremely stupid. I think it is caused by that the survivor body is not the same as the hitbox. The survivor body is leaning forward, way ahead of the actual hitbox. When they are rotating they rotate around the hitbox which makes the front of the body move/spin extremely fast.

I run in zig-zag in front of a huntress because that's the closest to realiti when it comes to dodging hatches 😂

  • @Huge_Bush said:

Make me supreme leader of Behaviour and I'll fix this game. I will introduce rainbow unicorns that will come and impale you for hiding too long in lockers. Survivors who unhook in the killers face without BT will cause the rescued person to teleport to the other side of the map, while the rescuer gets teleported onto the hook in their place. All killers will have new cat models that meow at survivors while in a chase. Bubba will get two chainsaws and a lawnmower that he can ride on.

    You have my vote

  • Ugh... Teammates on solo can be so annoying.

I had a Meg hiding all match that I honestly wanted to rat out, but I watched her die in the end because she got caught opening the gates.

After two or three matches, I saw a Yui hiding literally all game, I come to open the gate, hear the chainsaw, start running because I'm hurt and dead on hook and she ######### bodyblocks me! I went down and died and this useless piece of crap had 0 hooks. Didn't save anyone, didn't heal anyone, just did two corner gens and hid.

  • They could make offerings with weather.

I'd like to see rain on dead dawg

  • I only do that last second if I'm near the million bp and it's got me to a lobby fast enough that I couldn't lower it (probs trauma due to usual long queues), but I also never bring flashlights

  • @Aurelle said:

Their chapter was a buggy mess and their power is a mess. They're only good for slugging and camping.

This is the reason I don't like them. Because most twins will just do that.

  • For me it's an honour to die against a nurse.

There are nurses out there that have floored me and 3 other teammates within 2 minutes and I don't find it as frustrating as when other killers do it.

I don't know why. I think it's because she's hard to master, I just accept that this player spend who knows how many hours perfectioning it, that I just bow down and take my losses.

It's also rewarding when I see teammates go down fast and she finds me and I get a decent chase out of it, I don't know how to explain it.

  • @Sharpefern said:

People have selective memory. Like I remember yesterdays solo queue clearly because in 9 games I had "teammates" let me go through an additional 10 hook state, and I can't blame the killers because they weren't camping. But I know many/most times it isn't like that but that memory will be burned in my head for a while.

It's not selective memory as such.

Our brains remember better the really bad and the really good.

We all have our own idea of what a decent solo q much should be like.

Unconsciously, when the game doesn't go that way, we remember is as bad.

If we all tried to lower our expectations, we wouldn't remember so many bad things.

  • @GoodBoyKaru is this what you were waiting for?

  • Hm, I'll give you that.

And I get why you have the hits for Bruno seeing him in motion.

    I liked that masked look.

Oh, BTW @deKlaw_04, I googled your wifey from the handmaid's tale. The name rang a bell, but I didn't remember her in the show.

She is so pretty, she doesn't look like that on that show though.

  • But, look at the face. He looks like one. Maybe they're cousins.

  • Sounds about right. I found the book on Spotify and it's only three hours.

And based on how much happens per episode, I doubt they inflated the story.

They just kept going after it was finished.

I had to read the handmaids tale last year. Pretty good. I know my wife Sydney Sweeney was in the show lmao

I gave it a go last night and ending up watching 6 episodes in one sit.

I'm going to find the audiobook so I can listen to it while working.

Yeah, pretty much, just with new animations from the new killer 😂

Also the lobby feels like you were putting the TV's brightness up and the button broke.

I played a few matches and left.

Gonna make dinner and watch the handmaid's tale.

It's very conditional for you to get it to work. You need to set up the boon then end up going down in a specific area, then get slugged there long enough for you to recover yourself, and then hope the killer doesn't break the boon while you are slugged. If I was gonna run a slugging perk I'd always run unbreakable, it's simple and it does its job when it needs to.

True. That's why I say it's high risk (and it sounds wrong because it's not risky, it's just conditionally very useful or completely useless).

But you can also place it around downed survivors. I don't know.

For me it's like when you find a decent team in solo q. You don't expect it to work, but when it does, it feels good.

  • Damn... That's mad.

If it makes you feel any better, it's a NOED, devour and make your choice fest with very selfish survivors and slightly salty killers.

  • 2GB. I got it in 10 minutes and I haven't got great Internet.

My friends on high speed fibre optic can download a lot more in very little time.

Were you on audio? Or watching something?

I have to leave the group (if I am talking to anyone through ps4) so it doesn't take ages.

  • I don't understand how I'm reading that dark theory is better than exponential.

Even on solo q is useful.

I had a game today where someone was running exponential. I found out when I was trying to take a hit for the survivor that had just been unhooked and this survivor fell down there. As soon as I saw it, I baited the killer out of there so he could get up by himself and go heal.

It's high risk = high reward. When it works, IT WORKS.

  • I have you on friends, but it doesn't let me message you because we don't share a server.

I'll check properly this afternoon when I get home.

  • Thanks!

Just sent it, but it doesn't give me the option to message you (I have a different discord name)

  • I play on ps4 and got it on epic games when it was free.

I have started with Jake and have him at level 30, so I haven't played much.

I just missed the feeling of playing with what you have (I have pretty much all perks on all survivors at this point).

Not defending anything, just my reasoning behind it.
