I'm into the idea of killers each getting some individual buffs to help (like myers and such) and maybe some minor overall buffs to killers early game. Maybe a shorter corrupt basekit, something to give direction for killers at start? I'd like to bump gens speeds 10 more seconds each.

Who requires more skill to use... Who's easier
You said you feel he has a similar skill demand. To me that's saying who is easier to use. It's by far blight
Nurse is the better killer(slightly). But blight is way easier to use
Oh yeah that all makes more sense lol. Glad we got on the same page.
Yeah I think blight is definetly easier of the two but he is still one of the most difficult killers (especially console). Nurse is a good bit more difficult.
Seems like we basically agree.
-
I like Birkin a lot but if we could get a killer and a killer Legendary skin he fits the most ad a legendary skin to me for blight
-
I totally forgot about this. Yeah this id be into. Really ill take just about anything that makes it less of a must have perk

I don't mean maps. I mean any given chase in general... Who is easier to use in chase... Who takes more skill..If you blink to catch up to a survivor as nurse. You then have to blink again because you move shower. Blight you can rush to catch up then be a basic m1 killer. Way easier to use. Way less of a skill cap
Just so we're clear, are we talking about who is better between nurse or blight or if blight requires as much skill or not? Just wanted to double check

Why do survivors want BT for free so bad? What perk are you running that is so important you can't replace with BT? Survivors are already invulnerable while they are being unhooked to the point hitting them RIGHT before they can start moving can completly make you lose the game. And you want that for 3 extra seconds?
Surv scum really want those safe hook points super bad don't they?
Not sure if you are directing this at me? I mostly suggested it as a compromise and I honestly don't like when I play survivor to be utterly screwed by an idiot teammate who hook dives and doesn't have BT. 3 seconds feels reasonable of BT itself got nerfed

Actually, that screenshot and quote is from game Resident Evil: The Dark Side Chronicles from the part that takes place during Code Veronica X. Not from the CVX itself. The Darkside Chronicles includes events during RE2, RE: CVX and tells a backstory why Krauser turned out the way he did.
So we are almost at square 1 since most protagonists are in that game lol.

Nah, BT is fine as it is. Unless you want to revert it back to its original version, which protected both survivors but could only be used once. I can understand such change.
Otherwise, the perk is fine.
I could be on board with this change

Na...I'll put it in this context.. For skill cap... Nurse catchs up to survivor.. Nurse has to use blinks because she moves slower then the survivor. Blight catchs up.. He's 4.6 and can catch up easily without his rush. If they drop a pallet. You can break it and be right back on them
But she can function better on multi floor maps and he still has to various obstacles where she can ignore them beyond just pallets. Blight is only slightly behind because of these two. He may have better general chase but he drops on some maps while nurse is the same (and potentially better) on certain maps. She isn't really bad on any map while he can be less good on certain maps
-
Personally I think Myers has the best. His changes his playstyle the most and can make survivors strategies very different.
Id consider putting huntress in the mix as well since hers can also be very intense.
I don't know about the specifics of everything but you can make myers super aggressive (either fast or kill), stealth (small terror radius/able to see through walls), infinite tier 3 (which can lead to other stuff like always instant downs), faster movement speed, and a combo of any of these. Even if you are told it's myers in a game right away he can be pretty unpredictable
-
Depends on what you mean
1. Do something to totems? Fairly soon
2. Do something meaningful to totems? Probably never
I'm into the idea of spawning more totems on the map and having 2 totems be active for each perk qhere they either require each totems cleansed to remove a perk or alternatively one cleansed weakens the perk to approximately half its power
I think totems not only need better spawns but also more durability one way or another. I think a lot more hexs would get used if they lasted longer
-
Yeah totems are super weak. I'm into the idea of more totems being on each map but having perks make 2 totems active for each perk (either both need cleansed to remove the perk altogether or having one being cleansed weakens the perk). The spawns need addressed but I think they should be a little beefier one way or another.

Let's face it. Unless you're exchanging a 1 for 1..That scenario is happening anyways. New or old BT
Yeah true true. I was in the camp that BT was too much before since it's by far the most used perk (although it did need some buffs like the freddy thing). Even if you protect hook you'll get (assuming you don't grab off hook) one hit on approaching survivor, BT survivor body block, BT survivor takes a hit, both escape (with initial hit survivormost likely having DH.

Yeah he is feels like a similar skill demand as nurse but has slightly more weaknesses

Blight. He's an S tier character. But most don't agree with that. He can be just as oppressive as nurse or we spirit
Yeah I would put him behind spirit and nurse (he has a little more risks to him than the others) but has very similar rewards. Very underrated
-
Id say Myers. If you have the the right perks you can make him pretty solid and his addons are some of the most interesting/gamechanging in the game.
You can also make some fun builds that surprise people (such as using obsession perks that make you want to harm your obsession) and you can run add ons that are better against your obsession. People don't expect it and it works pretty well.
I think he needs a little love though but I like him a lot

I never said you were a garbage player. I was just trying to sus out the reason any killer would have issue with the BT change. If you're not camping or tunneling. There's no problems with it.
Nor is it a bad thing if you tunnel or hook camp. I do it sometimes when the situation calls for it.
My issue is you can cover a lot of distance in 12 seconds, especially with exhaustion perks that even if you are not at all close to hook the survivor gets a free escape both during the main game and at end.
Granted I still have to test this but I imagine this scenario playing out.
1. Killer hooks survivor 2 hooks away from open exit gate then killer goes to exit gate
2. Survivor gets unhooked with BT and has sprint burst.
3. Survivor runs towards killer
4. Killer hits in hopes BT no longer active (it is).
5. Survivor gets additional burst from hit and gets out of exit
6. Survivor who unhooked survivor either finds hatch or runs through killer and takes a hit thats meaningless
Now I'm fine with a perk that can allow something like this but to have it not only at the end but the entire match is too much imo. They should be seperate perks but survivors should be given a base minor BT effect to discourage camping. It's just too much packed into a single perk to me
-

Sooooo tunneler ? BT is just fine and needed just a general timer and no TR requirement. Too many stealth campers who abused it. And this is coming from a freddy main where their BT didn't work most of the time because of my lullaby
Nope try again. Just because someone has an issue doesn't mean they are a garbage player. Thanks for flippantly dismissing my thoughts.
The freedy change for BT was a must change though. That was too insane.
-
I'll try to test out the maximum distance covered in 12 seconds to get a better feel for how this new change actually is (with and without exhaustion perks)
-
Please God not the live action garbage. Ill take anything over that

I see more corrupt, pop, Whispers, and bbq honestly

Noed doesn't happen as often as people as people say.
I made a bet with someone that said "95% of killers run noed". I bet them the entire dlc content that I wouldnt even have half the people run in it 20 games straight. I got 5 games with 2 had totems cleansed and one the killer won before it went active so essentially just 2 games.
I also bet that 75% of 20 more games would have at least someone running old DS which did turn out to be true.
They lost both bets and I never expected them to deliver

@Yords said:
Whispers.
The best killer perks are the perks that let you find survivors faster, so you can kill them faster of course. Whispers is a FREE perk that can help you find survivors and save a lot of time doing so. It will let you keep the pressure on survivors and you can even use it to accurately find survivors hiding around. It can also work in the endgame to secure the last kill. The perk is very good and should be used more.
Whispers is another very often used perk. I bet most people would put it in top 10 perks

It hurts all killers. Stealth just means you are staying close to the hook. The very thing BT is trying to mitigate.
Even if it was the way you want it, you still need to play around DS. Which another forum post is trying to do now. Taking away all opportunities will only make survivors not try and leave. This may sound preferable to you but survivors typically throw their life away to save another. Too many times have I seen a 1k turn into 4k because of "no one left behind" mentality.
Yeah I primarily.mean stealth killers further no longer benefit from hiding even it its far away. Stealth killers lack chase potential and have overall been the weakest types of killers (I wouldn't consider spirit stealth imo). 12 seconds of invincibility is a long time and I think is too much for the entire game and across the entire map. I'm all for people having options to discourage camping and such but I think BT should have some limits even if they are minor. I rarely see people try to save honestly. Most games I've played survivors want their team to die (for hatch) or will leave right away anyways. Survivors should be given some last resort options like DS (although I wish the juggle thing was still a thing) but I think killers should also be given similar opportunities for themselves (besides noed)
-
Tinkerer I think is actually run a good bit. It's probably in the upper 1/3 of all perks honestly.
Id say spies from the shadows. It a great perk for both in and out of chases since people rarely pay attention to crows. It can be a good counter to lucky break if the ptb is active

I think BT is working the way it should.
I primarily take issue with it being both active no matter what for how long it is. It hurts stealth killers a lot and makes exit escapes almost a given as well
-
Banking would be terrible. Killers would dunk on survivors and it would be slugfest galore. Some killers would never be used as well. Id guarantee almost every game will have a spirit. I dont see it fun at all as survivors
-
Awesome this got moved to feedback which I'm sure will never see the light of day lol
-
Yeah I think I'll use whoever comes as my mains honestly lol
-
Id much rather have BT get nerfed. Now its essentially a must have perk with the ptb changes. 12 seconds of invincibility (with a dash after hit) is a lot and even if you hook far away survivors should have plenty of time to get away and this doesn't include body blocking friends who will give you even more time.
Personally I think BT should needs a major overhaul in a few ways
1. Survivors at base get BT effect for 3 seconds to discourage tunneling and works without a perk
2. BT current effect is decreased to 10 seconds cap and only active at EGC.
3. Separate new perk that allows 7 extra seconds (so 10 total) prior to EGC.
Right now BT has way to much utility that it being a nearly must have perk indicates it needs changes (similar to how DS was). Having one perk with this much power, active the entire game, and has no killer counterplay (not everything needs a counter but this should have something)
Not sure if this is a thing or not but I'd like a ptb to try out instant downs as canceling BT. Not saying it should go live but I'd like to see how it goes.

I bought him on day 1, that's why. There was no way to tell how he'd perform prior to that point.
As someone else who bought him day 1, it was pretty widely accepted he was garbage before release with the ptb. It was pretty well communicated and agreed upon honestly. Maybe next time look into ptb review before buying. I think he will get stronger down the road though and I hope he does. He does seem interesting

@Yords said:

The perk is still strong btw, it still helps with tunneling too.
Yeah its very much not nerfed into the ground. That's a bit dramatic honestly. It's not as good but it's much more reasonable. If you were upset by the nerf than you clearly wanted to benefit from how insane of a second chance perk it was since there was no counter for killers with it (besides slugging for a minute but that screws over killers since gens will get done).
I don't necessarily think it needs an additional nerf...I mean maybe down the road but i think it's fine where it is for now. I did like the old juggle strategy myself but that isn't a thing anymore.
It's still easily a top 10 perk and very likely top 5. Nerfed into the ground would imply it's not viable anymore (like old freddy had happen long ago)
-
I mean it would be nice but I doubt it will be used much and it would require making a lot of assets from scratch. I doubt bhvr sees it worth their time.

Even though this won't happen, how do you feel about this either overall or even just parts of it
0, cvx, revelations, 5, and 6 have almost no chance of being in imo since they are all older and not as popular. 8 I don't think will get in because this chapter has been working on for awhile and I doubt capcom would lend out content for an unreleased game which would risk spoiling their game (like having Lady Ds powers shown for example)

I think Lady D could be a skin for Plague but I don't think she be a Killer, primarily because of the dress offering no realistic mobility other than walking.
I don't see them having her in at least for now. I don't see much of anything coming in from re8 since it would likely spoil the game for a lot of people who didn't get the game yet and I don't see capcom lending out assets that haven't been released yet. Outside of various physically imposing antagonists, one that they could do is Lucas Baker, who would act as more of a trap based Killer, though certainly not as iconic.
Leon fits the body-type for DBD, and is one of the most iconic characters of the RE franchise. (which actually could be a reason not to include him)
But it'll be interesting who they do actually end up using.
I could see Leon being a Legendary skin for Felix honestly

I'll pay 30 dollars for a chapter with 2 killers and 2 survivors if it's from the Resident Evil universe. I would genuinely be happy with getting more from the franchise because there are so many to pick from.
The main survivors would be
Leon, Jill, Chris, Barry and Ethan Winters
The main killers would be
Mr. X, Nemesis, Birkin, Wesker and Jack Baker
Thing is BHVR could save time making the assets by just borrowing the models from Capcom like how they did with the base for the Demogorgon on Stranger Things so to me this is fully do-able.
The real issue is maps - There are SO MANY ICONIC LOCATIONS that it's hard to choose from. It's actually to the point where I expect BHVR to go big with this chapter. I am very biased as I am a huge fan of the franchise and I'll be honest I said a long time ago if they messed up a RE Chapter I'd probably be done with the game and admittedly there is truth to that. This is one of my dream updates so I hope they do the franchise justice.
But really you could probably name 2-3 iconic areas per game. With Resident Evil 2 you have The Police Department, the streets, the sewers and The Hive. With Resident Evil 3 you have the entire city, the church, the hospital and another part of an umbrella research location to work with.
If there is no map in this chapter I will be nothing but disappointed with BHVR.
In an ideal world (I don't at all expect this to happen) I'd like a major chapter that's 30 to 40 with 4 chapters on it essentially
