  • Killers just aren't nearly as threatening as they should be imo. Many games feel like episodes of Scooby-Doo running and jumping through windows lol.

For real though, I think killers should be a bit.more threatening since they are pretty easy to bully

  • I don't know for sure, but I highly doubt its banable. It's hard to monitor and really the issue is more with the grind the game demands. If the grind was greatly reduced farming would be much more rare. I want to have fun with the game but on the other hand it feels like the game isn't as fun if you don't have perks available for everyone you want.

    Cap removal? Disastrous

Farming killers would be favorite killers making literal hour long farming lobbies.

Cap increase? Good idea, but really not the solution needed for the grind

Yeah I doubt removing the cap would happen but think bumping each category to something like 15k each feels more feasible. The grind does need reduced and this isn't the solution to it all but I think would be a part in solving it. Removing perk tiers would be another part.

  • Noed is not that bad. You have lots of tools to address it. I'm not saying each of these are equally viable but they can either stop noed or make noed much less impactful. It's a bit weak imo but I don't necessarily think it needs to change.

    Before noed triggers:

    - do bones early

    -detectives hunch

    -bring a key

    -Small game

After noed triggers and you want to remove it:

    - just do its bones

    - Bring small game

    - detectives hunch

    -key

Don't want to do the bones but still don't die

    - ignore it (rarely do killers get more than 2 downs unless you are all on top of each other)

    -BT

    - BT body block for teammate

    -mettle of man

    -unbreakable

-tenacity (if the gate is open or hatch isn't closed)

    - soul guard

    - DS

    - fireworks (if you time it correctly and you are confident he will pick you up right away)

    - DH

    -key

  • I fully expect my teammates to not be useful so that i don't get as frustrated. I still help my team as much as I can but it helps me a lot to expect nothing to go well for me lol

Now as killer....I just get frustrated most games. For example last night I was myers, stopped survivor at 5 gens, shut hatch, last survivor had a key so me shutting didn't matter. Unless the game balance changes I doubt my feelings on killer will change a lot. I do enjoy it the most when bs like this isn't a thing

  • I want all the graphs honestly. I love me some data

  • Super low. Honestly I'm in the camp of the best two being able to be used after 1 hook. Right now you have almost no reason to run them since A. They are very difficult to get off and B. Overall you score less, waste more time than walking to hook (which impacts how you do overall etc), and they take the spot of a good addon.

    Worst one should be base

The next one should be 1 hook and for one survivor

The last should be one hook any survivor

I have to agree. BT when it was based on terror radius makes sense for the 15 second. It has an obvious restriction to how it can be used and can be played around.

Now the only way to play around it is just wait 12 second, hope the person doesn't have BT, or go out of your way to find someone else, even if you weren't intentionally camping or tunneling. In EGC, you're just screwed if they have BT.

This all coming from a survivor main btw.

Yeah I especially hate how it works near exit gates. I feel like it should be nerfed that it automatically deactivates within a certain range of exit gates otherwise you get a free escape as well

12 or even 15 second is a lot longer than people give credit for. You know how much distance that can get you? BT was initially meant as a second chance for camping killers, but now it is a "punishment" no matter what it where you were.

As a killer, if you're not camping and manage to accidentally run into or find the person unhooked than someone else, you get punished, even if you weren't trying to camp or tunnel.

Lol I honestly thought for a second I posted this. Yeah BT time is too much now.

Maybe is a new player doing old tomes challenges, One of them is escaping with No mither as perk.

Maybe is a troll or a Streamer trolled by viewers, the best you can do is saving him and keep playing, he Will be usefull as bait xD

Lol thats the only reason I consider saving them.

No mither really needs looked at and give some sort of incentive to use it at least lol

  • I really wish the game let you select the theme music and backgrounds for your own personal lobby screen. I like a lot of the past ones and it's a shame they won't be used again

I honestly don't know why we are talking about perks when I'm talking about keys.... Y'all are highjacking my post.

I feel more strongly about last survivor getting a free opened hatch than keys in general tbh, but both are really dumb

  • I eont use Billy myself but do think he very likely needs some tweaks. I rarely see him anymore, which I attribute to most likely being because he is viewed as weak or unfun now. I think I see him the least of all killers now honestly

  • Personally I'd put freddy on bottom 5 now...sadly

I was will you until spawning a key. Those diabolical things need to go away.

Yeah I don't like keys either honestly lol. 3 feels like it would need its own things because not having a hatch with 3 feels too rough for survivors but having hatch with 3 gens left also feels too easy. It feels like the best middle of the road option to me

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

Depends how many generators are left.

    1?

    Okay, we might have this.

    3+?

Forget it. This is not happening.

4 or 5 gens left- you as the last survivor clearly didn't work on gens and shouldn't be given a hatch for not trying. No hatch for you until more gens get done

3 hatch spawns but closed (key placed in a random unopened chest)

    2 or less hatch opens.

This feels like the most reasonable compromise. It makes it more difficult for survivors to hide the entire game and still survive while also giving them some chance to escape

  • I'm a console player so I have yet to actually try it out but it does look really amazing. Definetly one of the better looking maps imo

  • @MeepLessThan3 said:

If there's only you and one other survivor left in the trial and the exit gates are not powered yet I would expect my teammate to let go for me to get hatch like I do already. From a mathematic standpoint at best you're only going to get around 800 struggle points where as hatch is 5k survival points and I think 2k objective points so yeah you should let go on the hook for the other survivor and to deny the killer a 4k if possible. By holding on in a hopeless situation you're sabotaging your own side. Just my humble opinion is all.

I wish they gave more incentive for helping your team win. There should honestly be additional BP given based on how your team overall does for situations like this

  • I've only fairly recently played as her some but have had pretty good success running addons that increase her infection rate a lot so I can get 1 hit downs more. Maybe try that?

You could do something like corrupt intervention, save the best for last (use corrupt vomit to down obsession so you dont lose tokens), pop goes the weasel to hurt gens a lot, and maybe tinkerer.

I'm new to her as well but have fun with this build and done fairly well

Personally I think all 5 would be fair, the same it takes for the EG to be activated to open... I don't think it should spawn being the last survivor standing if the EG is not activated.. its far too easy for everyone to just give up team play and camp. It's not good game play like you said its not fair on the killer side of things either. And someone stating "you've pretty much lost anyway" ... well why though? If you both stealth around and stick together that last gen could of been worked on and you'd leave together... all about how much you want to be a team.

Yeah i somewhat feel this way but know there is no way this would happen because the game would likely lose a lot of survivor players. I feel like it's more likely to have a minimum gen completion requirement for last survivor.

  • I'm in the camp of them adding the requirement for a certain amount of gens to be completed first before hatch will spawn for one survivor

  • On the one hand I'm bummed I can't detect traps but I think it makes sense since it only mattered for hag and Trapper really. The pros outweigh the cons of the new version. I like the totem count idea for a perk.

Although I think small game needs a new picture since it has a trap as the logo lol

To be fair though there are those killers (nurse, spirit, billy, wraith, blight) who tunnel take the ds then down you like 15 seconds later. So i wouldn't say ds doesn't need ANY buffs. Namely like i said maybe after dsing the killer you leave no grunts of pain blood trail or scratch marks for 10 seconds. Even against low mobility killers whats to stop them from refollowing after you after taking the ds. They now know your defenseless. 9/10 times i stun a true tunneler their back on me like 15 seconds later.

Yeah id say maybe add (I don't use ds so idk if this is a thing yet). But pause the timer when downed and in chase.

  • I'm overall (although not entirely) in the camp that survivors are favored in the game and think hatch right now encourages killers to slug and survivors to ditch their team. It just doesn't encourage good gameplay.

  • DS doesn't need a buff.

Ok let me break it down for the 2 blind ones in here, being you and @IWasLeft2Die

I get it Sam, you want your voice heard, no matter how ridiculous you sound. I gotcha. You're upset over how people play. I got that, and I actually sympathize. But, you saying you wanna sit there and say who i was speaking to was irrelevant, when it actually is VERY relevant. Now you're just being a rude jerk and anything you have to say is going to be put in the trash. "I can only guess you're the type that doesnt sav--" sorry but you're making yourself look even worse. I even said, I'm not saving you unless I can. How dense are you people?

Do you know the difference between a discussing and whining? You two obviously dont, because if it was a discussion there would be a well thought out way of how to avoid/counter/fix this apparent constant situation, while i'm also being told that dying while unhooking is being "overexaggerated". What % of these games are actually happening? Because its low.

You speak of pedestals while demanding you have someone come save you, against logic.

Elaborate on how it would change the game, please. Please give me your hypothetical situations so I can have a good laugh.

But before that, Let me dumb it down for you even more, since you don't have much common sense about game mechanics:

If the last hook starts EGC, how does that affect anyone having a key or hatch camping? Its just like the killer shutting the hatch. The player can still open the hatch. Even if they put an interaction timer. You still die, they still escape. The instant escape is still available in either situation unless the killer hooks you right in front of the hatch, or gets to it before the sacrifice animation ends since the hatch doesnt open until that is specifically finished.

If youre gonna throw red ranks in there, how many don't use BBQ outside of streamers playing viewer builds/filming for YT for builds? Its literally a meta staple, so unless youre in a locker or have distortion, the killer is gonna come eat your face off or they're going to let you escape, since a good, 25ish% of my games end that way.

You're both whining and crying without giving a proper solution. I also said "let me guess you think i'm new" I didn't call anyone "new" @SammiieK1991, you did. Now, i'm just gonna start flagging posts on here until you shut up because there's no longer a discussion, youre both slinging accusations and trolling.

@SammiieK1991 at this point we may as well just ignore them.

  • @SammiieK1991 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2109513#Comment_2109513

Whether or not you were talking to me to begin with is irrelevant, you've just stated someone being new to the game, and now they've said the same to you you're not being all defensive about it saying you're not new ect....

Honestly this was a discussion about the hatch, not the next DBD Jezza Show... noones crying that's the bottom line, we're all stating different opinions and meant to be adults to agree to disagree. That's about as maturely I can break this all up.

You do you, if you accept to allow you're team to die despite them doing alot of work and unhooking you before your death to get out together to get a fast belt down the hatch bare in mind they've camped it the entire match then great one. 👍 that's down down to you. But the way you've just pursued yourself in a manner of saying crying about it and someone has s*** attitude then that's not okay

Basically how I feel. We can disagree and all but talking down to others/dismissing others is not cool

  • @immoraldemise said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2109455#Comment_2109455

    Ahh yes, completely ignore logic.

lol EGC on the last hook would do absolutely nothing. They will still leave you on the hook, you will still die, and you will still cry about it.

Let me guess, you think because i have a low post count i'm a new player? lol No wonder youre crying on the forums about dying on the hook because nobody would save you. With your ######### attitude, i'd leave you on the hook too. Have fun sitting there.

It would very much change the game. You wouldn't have instant escapes available for your team losing. You should not be given an instant out since your team was bad. I dont care all that much as survivor honestly but killers should not lose their earned advantage for a team that plays poorly. I've had plenty of games where I stop survivor doing any gens and the last survivor gets out on hatch because they hid the entire time.

Make sure you don't fall off your pedestal oh mighty one.

  • Because it would grossly imbalance the game. Many perks aren't meant to have info shared and there is no way to prevent swf from c9ms, otherwise devs would stop it

  • @immoraldemise said:

    Welcome to DBD

But what exactly do you want the dev to do? Delete the hatch? Yeah and watch how fast the survivor pbase drops(again).

In my experience, if there's 2 people left and youre on the hook, you're getting camped and the killer isn't too far away. It actually makes zero logical sense for anyone with half a brain to come save you unless they're heavily prepared for a camping killer and/or just a camping/tunnel situation in general. People call this "overly immersed", but I actually consider it to be common sense.

Lotta people screaming bad player, when in fact its self preservation(no pun intended).

There's so many people in here turning a blind eye to actual survival game logic. Because very VERY rarely does getting that unhook actually matter, because youre going to get slugged and then the killer is going to hunt me down because i'm obviously somewhere near.

Yeah. I personally take a key in a lot of games. Why? Because solo players are terrible. But I typically take mine for aura reading so I can AVOID the killer, and AVOID running the killer into survivors doing gens. However, If i do take a key or I find one.. I will locate the hatch first and then come get you. If you see someone teabag the hatch, point, drop and pick up and Item... PAY FREAKING ATTENTION. the amount of stupid survivors i get teamed against who don't take the hint that I have a key GET OVER HERE is higher than Snoop.

However, The situation everyone keeps describing is the same. "dude left me behind" um, yeah...That's gonna happen, a lot. So stop complaining, since the behavior that is the cause of these types of actions is based on what the killer is -actually- going to do. Not what your hopes and dreams aspire to. Then its the same suggestion: delete hatch. man gtfo people

If i unhook you and we are the only two survivors left, the odds of us both dying are 95% or higher. I love how people are mad at logic in this game. Yall want someone to Leroy Jenkins you off the hook, i get it. Stop expecting it. If there's 2 of you left and you get hooked, you're dead. Put the salt back in the Morton's container and save it for someone who actually deserves it. Yall are a mess.

Unless the gates are open, I'm not saving you unless i have BT or Bottled Time.. which most of you won't even take the Protection hit if I do run one or both. You have 3 options. Play SWF, deal with it like the rest of us, or play something else.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2109305#Comment_2109305

I want you to do me a favor. I want you to record your next 25 games, and i want you to be one of the last 2 people standing, and I want you to specifically not have BT, and I want you to save the other person. Please provide all uploads so we can see your survival ratio. It will be next to zero unless youre playing in a SWF. This has been a FACT of Dead By Daylight.

The Hatch has to be there, or when 3 players die, EGC will never activate until a generator is done. Thus leaving a stalemate, like it used to be before EGC became a thing. I'm sick of seeing people complaining without any coherent suggestions to fix these.. "problems" when the problem is actually unfixable because of how either the killer is going to act or other survivors are going to act.

Ahh yes make an absurd request no one would ever do.

Anyways, i generally don't run BT. And survival rate doesn't mean anything. You can still survive and depip. You can double pip and die as well.

You are grossly exaggerating odds of dying unhooking. You sound like a new survivor player

Just have egc activate after last hook. Done.

  • Just run no mither. Hard counter

  • Blades should bounce base kit.

He also needs to require less blades to actually hurt a survivor (maybe not a ton less but at least a little).

Movement speed I don't think is needed if both of those changes happen

  • @QwQw said:

But there were also a ton of people who did like Old Freddy. And I'm pretty sure most people nowadays would gladly take playing as and against Old Freddy than Modern Freddy.

Against I think most people would pick old freddy since he wasn't a threat really, not because he was more fun.

  • If I have a survivor try to abandon me I will typically hold on as long as possible.

It happens a lot where it's me and one other survivor and I unhook them then I get hooked a little later but they make no effort to save me. I get super saltyyy

  • @SammiieK1991 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2109305#Comment_2109305

Yeah man for real. I remember it only being available if you're carrying a key to unlock it? I mean fair play if everyone is dead and it's available but to Deliberately ignore your mates and wait for them to die is awful. And it's it's a crappy move. The things is people like that will be the ones left behind and they'll give you the most salty message you could imagine wondering why you didn't save them? If it's available fair play but go back to certain circumstances only.

Yeah right now it encourages both more scummy gameplay and more uninteresting gameplay. Id rather they just take it out frankly

  • I think he got overly nerfed. The fact that almost everything about him got nerfed was overkill (even things he wasn't very good with already like pallets). If the ptb goes into the main game he is going to be in the bottom 5 killers imo.

  • I just assume that the other survivor will abandon me. This is one of the main reasons why I hate hatch existing, especially now it doesn't depend on number of gens done for final survivor. Hatch further encourages players to not work together.

  • Felix I love playing primarily on the snow or desert level with his snow suit.

    David- original main

    Ash- because puppet

  • Also, the tool box change is overall a buff. Yes you get more skill checks but that also means you'll get a gen done faster as long as you somewhat pay attention

  • @swager21 said:

ive seen the new ooo in game, it is a nice and convenient perk to have in solo q but it doesnt make the killer bust a nut over it anymore.

also i am probably the only survivor main that thinks freddy was fine. i mean cmon, they ruined the only thing that actually helped him in chases

On top of nerfing his rarely used pallets lol.

I dont see very many people using Zenshin still. OoO may see a slight decrease in use but the buff to repair speeds is pretty significant. BT it does hurt both stealth killers and killers who can cover a lot of distance (such as demo or spirit etc across the map). 12 seconds BT is still a very long time. Tier 3 shouldn't be more than 10 imo

  • @Micheal said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2109166#Comment_2109166

Yes finally someone with a brain in this community. Well said🙃

    Ahhh yes.

Slight buff to Zenshin=slight nerf to 3 killers and nerf freddy to the ground and majorly buff BT. Makes sense

  • You don't. The BT change is insane to me and shouldn't be made in the normal game. BT already made hooking near exits pointless

  • I'm really not into these changes. It just feels like they are full on embracing favoring survivors and not really caring about the killer side. I've really wanted to play killer again but just haven't had fun with it in the last month despite that being my preferred role typically. This new update gives me even less hope that will change and for the future of killer role. Below are some of my thoughts on the notes

-Freddy did need a nerf but I think they went overkill on him. Very likely to be one of the weakest killers now that almost everything on him was nerfed. He was good, but not THAT good.

-twins and demo both needed more buffs than nerfs but feels like overall they got more nerfs. Twins needed buffs to encourage other gameplay beyond slugging but now they kinda just made the one thing he was good at (although annoying) worse. Demo just needed a general buff

    - Huntress was fine as is imo. Her iri hatchets weren't that bad. Overly nerfed her hatches imo. I think limiting to 2 and giving 2 would be much more reasonable. I like her new ultra rare though.

-BT I can't believe they buffed it. It was already a very powerful perk. I can understand the freddy shenanigans needing to change but this is a terrible change. I hope they don't follow through with this unless they further reduce the time BT gives protection (you can travel very far on 12 seconds).

    - OoO is interesting and it does feel kind of neutral overall.

    - lucky break sounds actually useful and fun to try out

-small games I like the change but would maybe slightly bump up the starting range to 50 instead

    -Zenshin no one cares about

-soul guard and open handed changes are fine changes. Not game changing but okay

-new struggle is better for sure.

-hatch was a much needed change but I think more still needs done

    -farm looks really solid

  • Resident evil resistance had the most potential to actually challenge DBD out of the many asymmetrical team games I've played. It needed to be separated from remake 3, needed more advertising, needed more communication in general on the game, and needed more updates on a regular basis. There is a rumor that the team working on reverse will go back to resistance if reverse isn't that popular. Resistance still has a retty substantial playstation player base. I really love DBD but I haven't had as much fun as I did with resistance in many many years. Resistance had some issues, but overall gameplaywise even the most "toxic" builds were far less frustrating than what you find in dbd

    Things resistance did better with

-more variety in each killers playstyle

    -much more team oriented

-more variability in general to achieve victory

    -more item options for survivors

    -map layouts were more interesting

-encouraged more variability in teams rather than repeated builds like dbd does

    -killers had much more personality

I can go on and on. If the game got the proper support it needed it would be serious competition. Devs didn't put enough faith in the game despite it having a lot of players early on

  • Pig due to being the most rng dependent that your skill level doesn't matter if fate is against you.

Also, she is the only killer with a useless power after last gen is complete.

  • I've not had THAT much trouble against hag honestly. Yes I lose to some but never had one that made me feel hopeless like freddy can do often

  • Honestly I kinda want them to add more totems to each map and have hex perks require 2 active totems to be cleansed fully

(So let's say have 7 totems, hex ruin has 2 active totems where both need cleansed to remove them entirely) something like that.

I understand this is very unpopular of an opinion but it would make the rng aspect of it much less punishing. I'd love to see more totem builds beyond the 3 hexs used.

But most importantly. Give killers info on which totem is which if they have multiple hexes

  • Thanks for the advice. Yeah I thinking blight is going to be my next killer unlock while survivors I'm into diversion due to wanting to try out a build to waste the killers time (which may be terrible).

Red herring, diversion, and maybe lithe/dance with me just as an annoying build

1 … 22 23 24 25 26 … 41
