I'm a console player so my choices may not be that surprising lol
Five favorite to play as
1. Pyramid head
2. Myers
3. Freddy
4. Clown
5. Wraith
Five least favorite to play as
1. Blight
2. Huntress
3. Deathslinger
4. Trapper
5. Nurse
(Demo and twins would likely be on here but I haven't played them enough to feel like I can fairly critique them. Blight I've barely played as well but I just can't see myself liking him on console at all)
Favorite to play against
1. Ghostface (these are often the most chill players)
2. Doctor
3. Myers
4. Pyramid head
5. Hag
Least favorite
1. Spirit can feel kind of hopeless at times
2. Twins
3. Oni
4. Freddy (mostly I hate how quickly you fall asleep)
5. Pig (I just find pig boring)

Yeah, and then get left on the hook (or worse, farmed off the hook) when your teammates decide that you're useless for not rushing gens.
Honestly that happens regardless of if you were useful or not. I've had games where I'd run the killer for 2 or 3 gens straight, get downed and my team would make no attempt to unhook me. The same also happens being gen jockey doing 2 gens alone and most of a 3rd one. That's an issue with bad teammates and not noed itself since these happen just as much without noed
-
Pyramid head imo.
Yes he is better than a lot of killers but he is reasonably strong. Im in the camp that most killers are too weak while some are too powerful as is. He has a lot of tools available to him while none of them are ridiculously strong. I'd love for killers to be put closer to him.
-
Noed is honestly a pretty weak perk. You can prevent it from spawning by yourself. Just bring a map or bring small game/detective hunch then you can get rid of all the totems very early on.
Noed is the most easily counterable "op" perk since you can stop it before it is even active. Running around doing totems isn't the most fun but you do have options.
Noed is used by mostly new players because it sounds very powerful but in application it just isn't that good. You go most of the game without a perk that could have already been denied or could get denied immediately.
I made a bet with someone that said "99% of killers run noed" and 8 bet I could play 15 games in a row and not even have 10 people run it. I played 20 games and had 3 noed games where only one paid off for the killer (they didn't get a 3k or 4k though). Noed is very overhyped. Survivors have options to counter it, use them if you are scared of noed. Most of the ways to counter it are still good to have aside from noed anyways
-
It's very much an unnecessary addition. I wish the time and effort spent on that was spent on things that actually matter
-
You talking about the new matchmaking? It's literally for one day. Take a day off if you don't want to bother.

It is killer sided. There is a lot of deadend areas where it is one way in and no way out. At least it is not like Ormonds where every pallet is a death trap.
Sluzzy from the little bit I've read from you it sounds like you are of the opinion killers are all op
-
I had a game just now where one teammate was hooked and about to go in second phase but we did the first 3 gens. After we finished the gens he suicided, another player dced immediately (wasn't even hit yet), I got found and my last teammate walked up to me and teabagged me and didn't save me on hook

We didn't he slugged us all and let us bleed to death refused to hook anyone killers like this should be permantly banned and the devs cheers them on I mean how long did it take to get rid of ebony mori after they nerfed tool boxes killers are pampered and there is no repucussions killers can hack tunnel slug camp and survivos are the problem just play survivor for a day and see for yourself how bad it is to anyone who doesn't think killers are broken I challenge you play a day of survivor and find out for yourself this needs fixed
I play both in purple/red rank. It's universally agreed upon by players who play both sides the game is more survivor favored overall but killers do have some advantages in certain ways. Ebony mori was nerfed into the ground where it's no longer worth bringing for a variety of reasons. I play both sides most days and take much more issue with what I see survivors have over killer. Survivors get ds (a free escape), keys (another free escape), dh (has invincibility frames), and this isn't including the Tom's of other options. Everything survivors consider broken for killers has counters (like do totems for noed for example) while killers don't have any direct counters to the things I mentioned. Killers have things to help mitigate the problem but not an actual counter (Franklin's makes people drop keys but anyone can still pick it up) most of the time. Seems like you should play both sides more

no ed isnt a second chance perk you have to wait all game for it to be used. Blood warden is a gimmick and so is remmember me. Tricksters new perk yes but its not in the game atm
Id consider noed as a second chance to kill the survivors that you wetent ablento earlier. There isnt really a 1 for 1 example since both sides have different goals. I don't know what else could be added and considered a second chance perk for killers

Basically 1 hook all survivors so alot of slugging tunneling etc or going for 12 hooks even though theres a higher chance of not getting 4k but you have alot more chases and interactions between the survivors
Yeah ive had a number of double pip 4k games that just weren't fun
-
Honestly ebony I don't think would change tunneling much since right now it's not really any better than a normal hook. You score less with a mori than a hook, you very likely spend more time moring than just bringing to hook (which in turn causes other survivors to get more done), you don't really benefit gamwplaywise with it, and you could have used a more impactful offering. It's true you could get ds without mori or body blocked but body block is easy to avoid (as well as flashlight saves) and most people I've seen us ds after first hook anyways. Moris right now are pretty worthless. With ebony mori you drop 7k to get it but you gain less using it versus regular hooks, the animation takes longer than walking to a hook, and survivors will get more done during your animation than if you just walked (which causes your BP to be less as well since they are doing better).
Being tunneled has nothing to do with moris right now. I could see that being the case if they were 1 hook requirements though. People will tunnel with or without mori right now though. Even with ebony mori it would actually be weaker for the killer to tunnel with ebony than to just play the game normally
-
I personally view being slugged as a challenge. I've escaped a decent number rift times in these situations.
Plus survivors have options to avoid being slugged
-
Mandy already covered this but here is another mods take on this. I've always been of the same opinion myself as the mods but figured it could be good to have this as additional reference as why slugging is fine
-
Even now getting 4ks sometimes just feel that fun. Id much rather have a good time and lose a killer or so. I think getting 2ks consistently is reasonable for killers

Yea, you've been out of the loop for a long time then, haha. I started playing in 2018 and Moris have always had a 1 hook requirement as far as I was aware. I think 2 months ago is when they changed it to 2 hooks
Dang....hmmm I guess for me i still want the one hook requirement but expect it not to happen though.
Right now they feel like the least useful offering. Id rather take anything else honestly

Moris already had a one hook requirement before this recent nerf, so I'm sure they aren't going back to that
Huh did they? I just got back into dbd. Before you could just straight up go for kills with ebony right out if the gate lol
-
I think people see that as a secondary benefit of it. Its nice that it happens to do that but it's much more valuable for knowing if a killer is coming your way. I don't think people use it specifically because of gen speed though.

Reject Basement and Hatch! Embrace Moonlight!

What was the reasoning for removing these?
-
I think moris do need a buff but this isn't what I'd want. I think the worst mori offering should be base while the others get down to 1 hook requirement over 2. Ebony being basekit I don't think would honestly change a whole lot. It's not that good but I'd want moris to be much more useful aside from this
-
Yeah its nice having people be genuinely pretty nice. I went back and watched it before they knew I was on their channel and they weren't Jerks or anything.
It was interesting seeing from the other side how I did though. Some parts I felt really good about and some I cringed lol

I’m looking forward to the release of Back 4 Blood in June. Might even push me to get the new Xbox. . . .
It's definetly a part of why I got the ps5. Re8 was my main motivation back when they originally said it was next gen only. Back 4 blood will be really good though. I'm also eying the mass effect trilogy. I'm already starting to have a backlog...lol

I play Bill because I played a crud ton of L4D. The best zombie game ever, even though it was half baked when it was released.
I had no idea that people had such strong feelings as to which survivor cosmetic people used.
Dude I loved that game too! I hope they do a remaster sometime with extra content.
Back for Blood is coming out soon and is supposed to be the spiritual successor to L4D (and I think is made by the same people mostly)

I appreciate the input, it's something that is brought up often, not sure how feasible or possible it is to add to the game though so I'm afraid I don't have any direct answers on that.
That's understandable. I hope something is adjusted eventually but I get why it's hard to change the system now that its been in place for for long. Thanks for taking the time to respond though.

without video evidence no, the amount of reports is irrelevant, we won't ban people without actual proof.
Any chance of the game eventually automatically sending videos of a match to the team to review rather than putting the burden on players for reportable matches? I really don't like cheaters in this game but it does take a lot of effort on a player to go out of their way to do everything in order for the team to review a game that it's not very motivating for players to make that effort to report, although they still should. Right now it does take a lot of time reporting someone that a player most likely will never encounter them again anyways. Right now it's hard to motivate players to go the extra mile despite it being better for the game as a whole, which is unfortunate. Players who give bogus reports recieve a penalty as well to prevent flooding of bogus reports (I wouldn't necessarily say a permanent ban though for them)
I understand this may not be possible but i was just trying to offer some input on the system for now
-
A bit ago I was yellow rank against an entire team of red rank 1 or 2 players who I think may have been swf. Unfortunately I was wraith so I had a very bad time.....

I'm lost. Whats this about?
Seems like they are saying this offering is pointless (which I think survivors may also be able to offer if I remember correctly) and they would rather fireworks be in the game more regularly.
I do agree Fireworks would be good in the game regularly. It just doesn't make sense to me how rare they are offered. They could use some addons to them as well

You’re right. I’ve never noticed a Bill using it.
Yeah its so wild to me.
-
I think survivors have too many but killers also have a number of second chance perks (although I think they are all weaker mostly)
-noed
-blood warden
-remember me
-tricksters new perk blocking levers
This doesn't include more grey area perks where you could argue a case for it being a second chance perk or practically one
-
I don't really get the obsession of her since we know almost nothing about her right now. I remember people m expected Simmons to be cool on re6 but he ended up being badddd. She seems fine but people are just jumping the gun too much with her for this game and for re honestly.
Id much rather have mrx over her or nemesis honestly. I kinda hope for an re4 villain (there are a number of options)
-
Our of the 2 I like freddy more. He is very good right now which may change but he is still interesting and good. He has some pretty interesting perks as well, especially blood warden. Remember me was good ages ago but now isn't. Fire up can be good as well.
Pig is too rng for me and the fact her traps are useless after last gen (you shouldn't place any more that is). Her perks are okay
-
I think Bill is the only survivor I have yet to encounter using DS. What an honorable soul
-
Least-Demo id probably feel the most hopeless about since the rest you could almost fight back with but Demo I feel like I'd just be waiting out for my death.
Most- maybe doctor honestly. Id still likely die but I find more psychological things to be at least interesting.
-
The only killers I can think of who do very well on it are spirit, nurse, and blight
People who can do decent are freddy, clown, twins, hag, maybe leatherface, maybe demo and that's about it?
-
I think it's more survivor favored because most of the killers domt do well anyways indoors but the fact that half the map is cramped limits most killers who need lines of sight, room to dash, etc. There is also the fact of the pallets being very plentiful.
-
Honestly, I don't mind the map personally playing either side
-
Dead rising I just couldn't get into and I don't know why honestly.
-
It doesn't, but it really should

But in the end, did you win?
Also yes. pipped and survived. Didn't have much chase points but still did enough
-
I'm excited to try out tricksters perks. I dont think the survivor perks are any good only than maybe self preservation but even that isn't that exciting. Trickster I think has a better chance for me to use than some killers but I doubt I'll main him. The survivor I don't care about because I have ash.
I'll qt least be happy for the killer perks while the rest has high potential to not be used much at all

I do enjoy Chipotle. Definitely healthier than these options.
Although I wouldn't consider it fast food exactly. It's kinda its own category with bibibop, Moe's, subway, Jimmy John's, etc
-
lol I love the honesty
-
Bbq is potentially the most well balanced perk in the game.

This was a very tricky list to make. There are killers into which I have poundered hundreds of hours to finally be able to do consistently well (Nurse, Oni, Deathslinger and Huntress) and others which I don't have that many hours but, as their powers don't have that much depth, are not a problem to do well. That's why I made the "easy to play" category.
Lol our lists are nearly the exact opposite. Amazing
-
Huh seems like I'm wrong. I havent played much Ghostface but thought I read a number of places people argued he was the best stealth killer. I havent tried the ptb either but I do like wraith a lot. I hope he is really good with the ptb
-
Here's mine. These were about what I thought made the most sense category wise and wanted to make them about as even as possible
The top tier are killers I use the most outaide of spirit and generally get at least a 3k with and pip. Spirit o get 4ks pretty consistent with but don't use her as much. I also don't run stridor nor use headphones.
Second tier has a mix of old mains or killers who could be newer mains. Clown and leatherface are old while Hag, Pig, and Legion I'm trying out more to see if I want to use them a lot more regularly. These I typically get at least a 2k with.
Third tier has a mix of killers I have played a good bit with but rarely get more than a 2k but I enjoy each of them still but struggle to use effectively
The fourth tier consists of killers I've played around 5 games with and would qt most get a 2k but mostly get 0k and sometime a 1k. Very bad.
I didnr get to try the ptb and was reluctant to try demo and twins because they seemed the least interesting to try to me.
-
I really doubt Ghostface is weaker than wraith. Honestly it could be the case where there has been an indirect buff/nerf to them (primarily perks used with either of them for you that has been changed enough to make one weaker or stronger).
Wraith is stronger than he was a year ago though
-
I also would love if they did like "The Big Mac" and it was the next licensed killer lol
-
I've already accepted that we will have an underwhelming name for him. I wish they would change it but it seems unlikely
-
@Haddix said:
I really don't care what the killer is called tbh. He can be called "the salad" and I wouldn't give a ######### as long as his power is strong and fun, which is what I think is way more important than his name.
Plus, people already know him as the trickster. It's set in stone.
"The salad" is rediculous. Salads don't kill you. But they could do "The Baconator" or "The Donut". Those will kill you for sureee
