  • Easiest way to get rid of an addiction is to replace it with another addiction. I suggest you replace your shadowborn addiction with an addiction to Reese's Peanut Butter Sticks.

    ohhhh salmon!

    You're already making me hungry!

I refuse to diet, I love food too much - fortunately I also work as a fitness instructor so get an absolute ton of exercise to balance it out.

I wish I was a fitness instructor! Alas, my profession for the last 12 years required me to sit anywhere from 10-18 hours a day depending how busy the day was. That has led me to snack, snack, snack and snack some more, which has led me to gain more weight anyone should ever gain. So now I have to remove all the delicious stuff and strictly only eat okay tasting healthy stuff that is sometimes delicious.

Salmon is at the top of my list for delicious food. Pan fried, steamed, grilled or roasted, I love it all. Just can't do it raw. I tried it as sashimi and while it didn't taste terrible, my jaw kept refusing my command to chew and my tongue rebelled and pushed it out.

Dieting would be easier if they could come out with a zero calorie pasta that tastes and feels like real pasta 😭

You should've seen when all the hooks were taken down and all you had were basement hooks. Nightmares

I would do then what I am doing now, which is play solo survivor. Even with all the QoL changes killers have received, I have come to the realization that it's just not for me. I play games for fun and sweating my butt off against red rank swfs is not my idea of fun.

LMAO. This is the one thing I prefer about FT13. At least we could go and hit annoying teammates with weapons. All we can do in DBD is give them a stern finger point. 😩

With all it's faults, FT13 looked like it was fun and people were more chill than Dbds playerbase. But then again, I only watched a few videos. I wish our playerbase was nicer.

But seriously, that's a crock of crap. I'd probably just whip out my phone and wait. Someone's gotta give, and as long as you don't DC, you'll get your BP.

I support this! We should get an animation where we can pull hair and drag them out of the way.

Shrimp is the best, closely followed by salmon. I just can't eat my shrimp if it looks as is does in that pic you have provided. I've had to clean them in the past and it is super gross.

Shrimp in some homemade ramen is divine. It is also delicious when it is battered in coconut and fried. Mmmm. I'm on a diet and can't have any of it 😭. I miss food so much😭😭😭

To be fair they have at least admitted their whole system is busted. Problem is they say they are working on it but I mean... I don't think they can, or know how, or ever really will.

It's been over a year since they mentioned they're working on it. It's been broken for perhaps 3 years. I have zero hope they will ever get it to work well.

  • I don't own Bubba and have no intention to purchase him so I got Franklin's with shards. I have over 80k of them so it didn't hurt to get it.

  • If you're not having fun with the role, it's best to stop playing it. That's really the only way to have the devs get the message.

  • Only when a challenge requires it, otherwise, Plunderers gives me everything I need.

  • @Phasmamain said:

Wish more people realised this before wanting to nerf solo aswell.

No one wants to nerf solo, just the huge advantage of coordination and information that swf gets. Even then, swf wouldn't be that big of a deal if matchmaking would pair them up against good killers. The problem comes when a rank 8-20 killer gets put against red rank swf. OoO's nerf will also make things better for killers, if it ever goes through.

If devs would make it so its much harder to rank up, hurry up and improve ranking and matchmaking, most of solo's problems would be gone since it would pair competent teammates together and let the potatoes stew in the lower ranks.

That isn't to say that solo doesn't need love. The hud should show when someone is in a chase, cleansing a totem or doing a gen. They also need teleporting hooks when there are 3 or more gens still up. Stealth play should get a minor buff to help those that aren't strong at looping, but not too much that they'll just hide the whole match. Immersive players who do nothing need a penalty that reveals them when they don't work on an objective for more than 60 seconds just to encourage them to stop being so scared.

While that basicly is right, i stopped doing that as a solo survivor. I used to do it, but - especially if i played with a 2 or 3 swf - if it came to the last gen, a lot of times they would just get out and leave me there. While i can understand that if you have an instadown killer who camps, they would also do it with non-camping killers. A lot of random teammates just dont care. Once you learned that, you stop caring for them.

I actually agree with your sentiments, which is why I am choosy with who I will take aggro for. If my teammate was a really good team player and looped the killer for multiple gens, I would be fine dying in order to secure their escape. You can usually tell if they're going to be selfish in the end and one of the big indicators is if they're console, since 9 times out of 10, they always leave me to die, even if I am slugged.

If I see that they're just moon walking and trying for flashlight saves throughout the whole match and not even attempt to do gens, I leave them to rot.

  • The only killers I think it wouldn't be good for is Trapper and Hag. If survivors knew they would be going up against them they would completely change their perks and items to counter their power, effectively neutering those two killers. Otherwise, it shouldn't be too much of a problem in terms of fairness.

The main issue I see with this is that it will cause queue times to increase since many survivors will just lobby dodge killers they don't like. Spirit, Freddy, Nurse, and Blight would all be avoided like the plague.

There wasn’t much I could to force her to come after me. She wouldn’t even bother with me after awhile and just constantly search for the others.

In that case, she made the right choice and got rewarded for it by winning the match. It sucks for you, but that's the risk in playing solo survivor. It is a team role and as such, if your teammates aren't good, you will suffer for it. I recommend running plunderers if you play solo so you can get a better chance for a key spawn. Otherwise, SWF is your only other choice.

She chased me multiple times. I’m not going to just randomly take a hit for my teammates or just stand there and let her hit me. That’s a stupid move.

You don't just have to just stand there. If you were that good at looping, you could keep trying to bait her into a chase and waste her time. Even if she was in a chase with someone, you can body block for them if you haven't been hooked yet. It is not stupid to take the pressure off of your teammate. Your choice to not do so contributed to your loss.

How? I unhooked and healed them multiple times? You want me to just sacrifice myself to killer instead?

Part of being a good teammate is taking aggro for your team. If you haven't been hooked, you should be willing to be hooked in order to give your teammate a chance. The only time you shouldn't take aggro is if you have bad teammates that don't play properly.

  • Just implement skill checks like Pyramid Heads cages. Boom, fixed. I don't know why the devs are so scared to change aspects of the core game. Is the code so bad that if they implement new functionality that it will cause the servers to explode?

  • I have Carpal Tunnel and it does mess with my game play. It's not severe, but I can't loop for long and I'll sometimes have to stop masshing space on hook and just die, but I don't let it stop me from having fun. I tried using a controller but I learned the game on PC and my brain refused to adjust for the controller.

  • Um, that Claudette isn't regarded as a true Claudette. She is an imposter that is trying to tarnish the Claudette name. Please ignore her.

  • Nothing will be done about camping or tunneling until the devs could figure out how to nerf them while nerfing generator repair time without making the game boring for both sides. As things stand, most of the killers have to tunnel/camp unless they're Spirit or Nurse. You can go watch top level game play videos and you will see that killers must incorporate unfun strategies if they want to have a chance.

The best thing you can do is to learn how to loop and stealth better.

Which will not happen because the matchmaking doesnt work and people trying to learn killer get screwed over and matchmake with players way outside their skill level.

Seriously its ridiculous i play as survivor and i get potato teamates and cant win. I play as killer and get people who can rush gens and loop me like crazy with no sign of the garbage survivors that end up on my team in 99% of the games I play

That's how it was with me when I played killer. I got tired of having 2-3 gens pop after I got my first hook and I got tired of the sweaty swf who bring in 4 tool boxes with 4 bnps who want a 4 minute match, so I only play solo.

Solo sucks all around, but my stealth play style makes it work. Plunderers gives me good odds on finding keys, which I remove from the chest and hide in a corner so no one else gets it. If my teammates were potatoes or if they were sweaty toxic tryhards who are duo swf and are messing with the killer rather than playing for the objectives, I leave the second I find the hatch.

And yes, I don't have any hope for matchmaking. I used to play 5-7 hours a day and now it's 2-3 at the most. I hope the devs stop being chicken and start working on the core game rather than new perks and new skins.

  • A+ for effort. Your last thread was a bust, but this one is much more entertaining.

  • Honestly, I feel like all the killers since the Stranger Things chapter have been meh except for Oni and Pyramid Head. They did a really good job with Oni's presence and I liked how they took risks with Pyramid heads power.

The Twins should have never seen the light of day. With all the complaints of tunneling and camping, you'd have thought they would have been scrapped.

Blight is okay, just doesn't seem interesting.

Mr Cowboy is fun at the cost of being easily gen rushed.

I will reserve judgement on the new pretty boy with creepy eyes until I face him a bit when he goes live.

Would be nice if the devs would stop try harding with their original characters and take more inspiration from actual killers from around the world like Banshees, Vampires, Zombies and Mummies.

  • @Tsulan said:

I remember a match where survivors rushed gens hard (with BNPs) and i simply thought meh, you want to do gens?! I let you do gens.

From there on i patroled the map and whenever i saw a survivor, i started to run away from them. Vaulted windows and basically doing what a survivor would do.

It was great fun for me. But they didn´t seem to enjoy their gen repair simulator.

I'm going to do this if I ever venture back to killer.

  • I could have sworn my pants were on before watching that first video.

  • Most Attractive Survivors:

Female- I want to say its Claudette because she's just the best, but as far as looks go, she's just really cute. I would have to give the most attractive to Cheryl. She just needs to get some more sleep and a long hot shower to really glow.

Male- Felix, no contest. David has a nice body, but his face looks like it was smashed against a speeding train.

    Least Attractive Survivors:

David - Sorry David fans, muscles aren't everything. He'd look better with a paper bag over his head.

Nea- Her face, it haunts me.

    Most Attractive Killers:

Female- Huntress. She has some really nice facial features under her mask and she doesn't suffer from the decay or corrosion that the other killers get.

Male- Ghostface. I know that we don't know what his face looks like, but thats what our imagination is for and I imagine him to look like Ed Skrein.

    Least Attractive Killers:

Female - It has to be Hag. No contest.

Male- Blight, I mean just look at his face. I'd rather go to "happy town" with the Demogorgon. Hill Billy is a close second runner to the Blight tho.

  • The game is literally designed to give you every advantage in a chase against the killer. The onus is on you to enter the match prepared and to get better to last longer against a killer. The better you are, the more likely the killer will abandon the chase, if not, you can loop them for 3-5 gens.

You need to learn the correct pathing to take for loops, how to connect tiles and how to mind game. If the killer out mind gamed you, then it's your fault that you fell for it. If you're caught in an open area, again, that's your fault. You as a survivor should always be aware of your surroundings.

Since you're not good at looping, I recommend you play killer to learn about them and their counters. You should also watch how to loop videos on youtube, you'd learn a lot. In the mean time, learn how to stealth until you get better map awareness.

  • She's okay. She's just hard to do well with for the casual player, which is fine there are plenty of other killers to choose from. I can't think of any way to buff her to make her more viable without overpowering her. Maybe make her vomit last longer when she spits on things like generators? Steal Freddies pools of blood and give her pools of vomit that infect people who run over them?

Frankly, I just think if the devs could figure out how to slow the game down a little, most killers would be fine.

  • @MadLordJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1999793#Comment_1999793

4 good survivors trying to do totems will waste minutes looking where others already have, potentially long after all 5 totems were cleansed. Which is the best thing a killer could ever ask for, even with NOED, because who needs NOED when you don't reach the endgame.

4 survivors not able to do totems and reach endgame are not good survivors. If cleansing totems is all it took for the killer to win, then the survivors do not deserve to win.

  • I don't care either way, I just hope he gets nerfed so I don't have to see him as much as I currently do.

  • @MadLordJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1997680#Comment_1997680

Cleansing all 5 totems with no communication is basically handing the killer a free win. It wastes minutes of each survivors time running around, looking where someone has already looked, searching for totems when all have been cleansed, or worse, doing all of the above but leaving one dull left in a hidden spot for NOED to activate on anyway.

Any killer worth their salt will 4k trials like that with ease.

Any survivors worth their salt can do totems, gens and escape. The problem solo players have isn't with totems or just NOED, it is with the abysmal ranking and matchmaking. The game should not be pairing up good players with bad teammates nor should the game be made easier for bad players.
