Can we please keep post on topic? This isn't a thread about report system. Lets not derail, pretty please.
When the thread is about punishing players for working with killer of course the report system will be involved.

If someone rats someone out, I slap them down and give that person a free chance. But after that chance, tis free game on them
Seems fair, long as the rat gets punished.

Tell me about it. Soon as I drop inner strength and map with sharpened flint, suddenly every killer is running full hex 🙄

It is frustrating. Had someone rat me out using bond yesterday in a similar situation against a springtrap. Just got to report and hope they do it often enough to get banned.
Had 2 dead, they were on deathook and i only had been hooked once. I was getting gen work done and periodically sneaking away and avoiding springtrap when he door ported to me. Hoping for a few objective points and maybe a shot at hatch.
Springy kept leaving the other surv alone and eventually while I was hiding nearish to them I saw them come towards me and keep pointing at my hiding place for the killer. Thankfully although they still took advantage of it to kill me, the springtrap did at least punish them with a mori after.
As killer if someone ever rats out another survivor to me then the I'll give their target a pass and slap the rat on a hook.

Yeah for sure. It's hard to be stealthy when you're wheezing and growling like an asthmatic pug 🤣 let alone when you start ringing a literal bell

I'm mostly a killer main and in almost some of my killer matches i end up going against toxic survivors or survivors who constantly tea bag, try to blind me with their flashlights, or say extremely hateful things in endgame chat, it gets on my nerves sometimes to the point where i just view myself as a bad killer player if every generator gets done, survivors escape and i either get one kill or no kills at all and i sometimes get pretty tilted in endgame chat and my anger takes over, how do i honestly stop taking this game so seriously because my mindset is constantly just "I HAVE TO WIN, IF I DON'T WIN, I'M JUST A BAD KILLER MAIN AND I SHOULD JUST UNINSTALL AND THIS GAME IS JUST FULL OF TOXIC SURVIVORS!"
It's all in how you approach it. I go into matches with a certain mindset.
If I get control of the match early, I'll generally spread my hooks, usually kill 2 survs and le the other 2 go. As a rule I'll spare the 2 survs who deserve it the most, either weaker survs who struggle with chase and/or ones who will go for unhooks. And punish survs who are individually toxic, if I catch them sandbagging or giving up early.
If survs give me a run for my money but don't play toxic I'll usually do whatever i need to win and at the end let last surv have hatch.
If they're mad toxic, then all bets are off, I'll play aggressive tunnely, sluggy, whatever it takes to beat their build and send them on a one way trip to the entity.
Getting a 4k isn't really my objective, it's to enjoy the game, and if the other players enjoy it too all the better. And i enjoy rewarding players for good play and punishing others for toxicity and bad play.
-
Having played a few games with him again I understand why wraiths have a reputation for tunneling. He's immensley reliant on his addons and he doesn't work very well as a stealth killer unless you run coxcomb clapper, or that broken af turn back the clock interaction, which I refuse to use.
Without that iri addon he suffers very badly to prerunning when he tries to uncloak, against survs who are aware enough to see him while cloaked and can run a decent chase he really stuggles. His only good skill expression is bodyblocking pallets for an uncloak and hit.
His base power is just very ineffective and powercrept in today's dbd. He could do with maybe being harder to detect while cloaked and make bone clapper basekit just to make it a little more difficult to prerun him and give him a little passive map pressure.

It only rewards people who are good in chase.
But it would also be an effective way to practice chase without having to juggle gens and hooks.
It would I suppose, but usually if I want that kind of practice I don't do it in pub matches. I'll set up as custom with a friend.
-
Yh the licensing is always an issue. And since we don't get any camp crystal lake stuff it seems the licensing bhvr has for jason is tenuous at best
-
Yeah don't be removing hatch. It's the consolation prize and good reason for surv players to keep playing when the killer has obviously won.
I don't like the sound of this 1v1 thing. It only rewards people who are good at chase. Not everyone plays like that. It's also just thematically a bit naff surv keeps running and suddenly randomly gets out somehow? The hatch endgame situations are super tense, and they can go both ways, either It's a tense stealthy situation, or if killer spots you they chase and you have to try and reach hatch first. Plus the mindgames of finding a key and letting killer lock hatch then sneaking in for the unlock.
A straight 45 second timer is kinda boring and honestly requires less skill than trying to transfer between tiles AND keep an ear out for hatch all while running chase.
-
I'd edit their gamertag out of your post. Naming and shaming is against forum rules. Too easy for people to lie and accuse innocent ppl of cheating if they've annoyed them or something.
Just use the in game report system. If they cheat and get reported often enough they'll get banned soon enough.
What killer were they playing out of interest?

Endgame time is very uncertian for killer higly effected by MAP, killers power and survviors state but its not wherer killer is strongest especialy when gates are opened like some are like bubba potencionaly strongest while others like ghostface are super nerfed (he sucks around deffending saves due to how easily survivors can counterplay him) so its huge risk for both sides a uncertian outcome it have heavily shift into killers favor making 1k to 4 or 3 or it can favor survivors making killer have 0k but I dislike like everybody here swings "Its where killer is strongest and favors him" well sometimes it does but sometimes it doesnt thats whole DBD aspect of nothing stable and heavy rng aspects.
I dont claim killer should get abandon when gates are opened and the timer just started but like when its at half and no one is hooked at that point theres not much of a reason to keep killer there if its loss for him and he wants to move on.
Also I think you comparing dc with abandon is wild because they arent the same, abandon we speak about here only happens at the games very end and doesnt effect points of survivors (well if killer dc survivors get escape points of 7k since what 2019 or what so I bet it would be with killers abandon the same) its just time save.
Regardless of abandon or not it still insta ends the game for everyone. It denies survivors chance for more bp and the satisfaction of getting out of the gates. Like I said if you were playing killer, and hypothetically a survivor leaving instantly ended the game for you, you would find that annoying, because survs could simply leave to deny you your mori on the last surv.
It also messes with challenges, if i have a tome challenge to escape via gates (and that happens rarely enough) I don't want that challenge being ruined, after I've earned it, because killer couldn't see the game through.
As I've said, if a killer left a bot after they DC'd I'd have no issue with killers leaving or abandoning. But since we don't it's unfair for killers to leave and stop the game for everyone.

A dinosaur in DbD would not be scary, it would just be goofy… and DbD would no longer be a horror asym. I'm afraid if Jurassic Park was to come to DbD, DbD would no longer be able to call themselves are horror game and would lose its identity. I don't know if i'd continue to play if they went that far off course… Vecna, Lara Croft… i can handle but dinosaurs? Nah.
Matter of opinion. Fair few people on here seem happy enough with dinosaurs as a horror thing. Just have to agree to disagree.
Though I hardly think including one IP will make the game lose it's identity 🤣

It's one of those "good for me but not my team" scenarios. I can crank out a lot of games in short order, which actually would be nice for those complete 1500 trial milestone quests, but at the same time I'm ruining games for the other survivors. Unless I actually am a great looper/stealther, which I currently am not. Pre-6.1.0 I actually did this a lot and with old Dead Hard and constant practice I was a valuable teammate despite No Mither.
Ah yes back when dead hard was designed to go alongside no mither. Feels so long ago now lol

I dont know what game you play but game already ends when survivor “dc” in loading into the match and it isnt super rare. Difference is abandon isnt dc you keep your points and I bet they would easily make it so you get escape bp when killer abandons just like they do it when he dc.
Killer bots I believe will happen at some point but their effectiveness will be bad (I believe) because its not easy to program all killers to play like players do it like bot nurse and spirit will be to tier we know it due to 2v8 and ones like huntress will be bumm because huntress mains hold axe and zone or wait for window for clear shot while bots pull back the hatchet when their los is broke with survivor which isnt what huntress mains mostly or m1 killers sill be just raw chasing you down without any mind games so easy to loop.
As I wrote earlier snowball highly depends on situation and certain things make it almost impossible unless survivors are very bad.
I wouldn't say survivors going dc on loading screen is very common. Usually they either lobby shop or dc in match when they get downed. Lobbyshoppers don't affect the game just lengthen the queue by a few seconds and in match they are replaced by a bot. Game is already probably a loss but at least survs can still try to play and everyone can earn bloodpoints from a full match. You can't compare that to a killer leaving and the games stops at that instant. No chance for more bp or even just the simple pleasure of running out the gate you worked to open.
And again killer bots wouldn't be good at the game but at least it'd let survs farm their bp inseas of the game force closing on them.
As for the endgame situation? "Almost impossible" to snowball is a gross exaggeration. Obviously some killers will end up with a 0k but guess what? If you get outplayed as killer that might happen. But it goes the other way just as often as not. Survs get greedy and go for a save or bodyblock, killer capitalises on that and gets more hook states and maybe even a free kill or two. I've done it plenty of times.

that isn't horror though, a bit intense, thrilling maybe… but horror? no.
Not in the traditional sense i suppose, but as long as it's scary. A lot of the IPs currently in dbd aren't exactly horror, tomb raider, heck even vecna being from dnd isn't particularly a horror setting. He's just the of the big bads in the setting.
Indoraptor is just as as valid a killer as vecna imo.

Yep. This is why I kind of like SoloQ when I play survivor. If a game goes badly, and they often do, I can get sacrificed, killed or abandon and usually be in the next lobby in under a minute.
I just hate getting slugged, as it is rather boring. Perhaps I should run No Mither all the time?
As someone who tried using no mither recently for the escape while broken achievement I wouldn't advise it. 🤣
I got tunneled in the majority of my games when the killer realised I had no mither. I suppose it did stop me being slugged after a fashion, because they always put me straight on hook.

First of all not all killers can snowball all it comes to perks and killers power plus map and survivors situation (how many are downed, injured etc.), if you have nothing from this and they have gates then its gg plus many killers cant deal with bodyblocks well. Your idea falls apart because not everyone runs noed or endgame perks plus some killer powers just dont work in endgame like weskers power has huge comeback potencial compare to knights guards that are only good at dennying resets or forcing people out of gates unless you run certain iri addon.
Tell me whats bad on killers having abandon option once gates are opened and endgame timer starts??
Whats bad on killer deciding if he wants to continue at that point or calls it a gg and everyone moves on??
Its very simple. The problem is because it ends the game if the killer leaves.
I'm sure you would complain if the game ended the second a survivor disconnected. Like you work the whole game, get 3 kills and are about to mori your last survivor, then that survivor disconnects and you get booted to the endgame summary and don't get to do your mori. Or you hook one survivor and suddenly the game ends and you don't get chance to play.
If they added killer bots for 1v4 then I wouldn't have an issue with killers being more able to abandon. Because then survivors could still play.
And sidenote any killer can snowball if the killer player is any good and thebsurvs get too cocky. It's easier with some killer and harder eith others but still possible. You make it sound like killer is thebweak roll and loses all the time. Which is simply not true.

It would ad a bot killer gets bp vs survivor bots survivors get bd against kilelr bots in 2v8 and i know the game has killer gots because me and a friend waited 30 minutes in a 2v8 match just for his internet to drop and I was left with a Ghostface bot. And I bet you my entire life savings people got bp from that killer bot.
Yeah but they aren't added in 1v4. They probably should be. But while they aren't it's hardly fair to dc when it just straight up ends the game.

ow so again no respect for the killers time like usaly. why do o have ot push people out just leave its not hard stop being toxic and just walk out the gate all your doing is wasting peoples time. and the survivors can just hide making it so you cant push out survivors because they are in some random corner hiding to specificly waster the killers time.
It only really becomes an issue if survivors refuse to finish gens. In which case they can be reported for holding the game hostage. And that gives you an opportunity to keep chasing them and get downs.
Once gens are done, you open gates yourself (which comes with a bp bonus) and then they have to leave by the end of egc which doesn't take long.
If you abandon then the game instantly ends and all of their bp earnings are stopped. Which is not particularly fair. Survs have to put a lot of work and skill into winning a game against killer. Having the game cutoff as soon as gens are done or killer thinks they've lost is immensley frustrating.
If they added killer bots who could play out the rest of the game I'd have zero issue with going next like that. But while killer abandons end the game instantly I'm hard against it. Killer players have to deal with losses too. They can't just throw their toys out of the pram everytime the game doesn't go their way.

I played killer almost exclusively during banquet and did fine for the most part, and i probably played it more than most people did.
Same here, aside from towards the end in my survivor games when ppl started tunneling like their lives depended on it, I actually had a really good time with the event.
I had a great time with killer, experimented with builds that countered the event's mechnics. Had me using killers i don't normally touch. Plague games were fun, people would often panic at the lack of healing and start cleansing. I was in power for entire matches, great fun.
But our experience isn't the universal one. A lot of killers struggled badly with the event because they couldn't adapt. I know I was certainly escaping a LOT more games as surv.
-
I think it's more you're pressured into using killers you're good with. Put in the time in with any individual killer and you'll start winning games with them.
If someone is a good with a mid/lowtier killer then they will still win a lot of their games. E.g. i main demo, considered weak and powercrept, C tier at best in most tier lists. But I've played it so long and gotten good with the shred and portal placement that I'm a bloody terror with him. Heck as a tactical player I dominate a lot of my trapper games, and he's considered weak af.
Whereas i can pick up an S tier killer like blight or nurse and I'm pretty naff with them. Especially blight, i do not get on well with him.
-
Black banquet caused a lot of burnout on both sides. But killers got it especially bad. They had a survivor sided event, lots of losses, and a lot of killers resorted to hard tunneling as a way to win. Not a fun tactic and usually provokes a lot of post game salt from ppl in dms and postgame chat.
I think ppl need a week or two to settle down and get the frustration out of their systems.

Not happened to me yet, even with my reliance on lethal. And yeah it is an absolutely useless perk nowadays. I'm not sure why they nerfed it tbh. It was useful but not crazy strong. I still like it for info so I can call out what aura perks the killer has. But if the killer has a single aura read perk you're basically out of tokens constantly.

In moment you dont have any preasure, no perks to help you, gates are 99 or opened and no survivor is hooked, slugged or chased away from gate at that point you are just strawman who has nothing and have to push them out at best unless they are super stupid and give you free hook which in that situation is almost impossible.
Thats why abandon should be there because only the killer knwos in what situation he is at the endgame and it should be his own decision if he proceeds to call it gg and abandons or he has potencial to gain something like more hooks or kills and stays there to finish it.
That's patently untrue, killers can easily snowball in the endgame after gens. Plus there are a hundred and one endgame perks that benefit killers after the last gen is done.
Sure you might not have a good chance if you're in endgame with nobody injured but if that's the case then you had a pretty bad game.
I wouldn't mind killer having nore abandon options if it didn't immediately end the game for survivors.

Goddamn that sounds fun

Abso-f******-lutely. This has been annoying the hell out of me for a while.
-
It is an immensely good perk. I use it a lot in my builds and it just lets you put instant pressure on AND provides synergy for every other aura read perk and addon in the killer toolkit.
Plus it's a lot of fun running muffler hill billy and turning into a hunterkiller missile at the start of the match. Either a free down or watching the survs panic and scatter as you fly towards them at mach billy with the chainsaw going.
I still need to organise a 4 man distortion swf and see how many killers we can confuse 🤣
-
Mm. Not sure if we want to add to bloodweb clutter by splitting toolboxes into 2 separate items. Plus since killers can see items in the pregame lobby seeing a bunch of hacksaws will telegraph the survivors playstyle and allow killers to use counter builds. It's bad enough with flashlights and lightborn atm.

Honestly "Token BBQ" was really the best and original "anti-tunneling" perk. Back when I was a Doctor main full-time my loadout was "STBFL, Pop, BBQ, and (insert random perk here)" I would always get my first hooks from all 4 survivors then after that I'd play normally, whether I would camp, tunnel, slug, or not.
Yeah it was a good incentive. Idk why they removed the bp bonus

it gave the killer a token everytime they hooked each survivor once and each token gave a 25% increase to BP gain in all categories (up to 100%).
That was it. Been a while. Shame they removed that. Did it fro. A few perks. I remember when old TOTH and distressing used to give general bp bonuses just for using them. I acty used to have a bp farming build on demo with those perks.

Killers Who Play By the Survivor Rulebook: Ope, that survivor is obviously not very good at the game. I will be 100% fair and absolutely not take advantage of this situation. I am aware I may totally lose the game and the survivors may get a 4-man out, but The Survivor Rulebook is law.So tunnel them later in the game. Like i said in literally the first line of my post. I'm not opposed to tunneling in general. Just the hard tunneling one player straight away.
Easy to kill that player mid game after a couple of gens are done instead of extirpating them from the game immediately. That way they get a chance to do something and you don't risk losing the game.

Wed say: Across the bord, survivors no, unknown effects but would definatly shake it, most portalish killers either already have/can set up near important locations (sadako, demo, xeno, unknown, freddy) and some already get bonuses when they use their teleport so these would have no sort of bonus aside from going from A -B (springtrap gets stealth, sadako spreads condemed, xeno and jason can potentially find survivors, etc)…but thats just our thoughts. Let the forum go rabid thinking.
See my thinking would be to add it as a mechanic across the several killers with no traversal power. Namely: trapper, pig, doctor, skull merchant, myers and bubba. Mayybe deathslinger, pyramid head and huntress too, but they have ranged attacks and need it less.

The indoraptor is definitely a formidable threat, yet it’s less iconic than the raptors and has lesser cosmetic customisation. The Big One could have TWL, JP3 and JW. I’d personally prefer a Jurassic Park chapter over a Jurassic World chapter, but aslong as their are JP skins in it I’d be happy.
Yeah the raptors are more iconic for sure. But i dont think they fit the dbd vibe as well. They would look goofy as hell carrying a survivor since their arms are so short, unless bhvr when ham with the animation and had them lock a survs shoulder in their jaw and drag them.
The indoraptor is definitely more horror coded, and with those huge ass hands and claws is could proper grab a survs skull to carry them.

The devs can't reward spreading hooks in a meaningful way alone. As long as tunneling stays the way it is, it'll still be the more effective way, and therefore Killers will continue to do it. The devs have tried to add rewards for spreading hooks with their not-so-thoroughly-tested tunnel reduction system, and Killers still lost their minds. The only way tunneling is going to be deterred is to make it less effective.
It is a shame they removed some of the rewards for spreading hooks. I remember bbq used to provide a bloodpoint bonus if you hooked 2 different survivors in succession. No idea why they removed that motivation. Mimor though it may have been. Not like it broke the game.

Protection hits and body blocking are not the same thing. Running in front of the killer to absorb a hit isn't the same as a squad of survivors blocking the killer from being able to hook. And when a killer is hard tunnelling, that's the only way to respond to break the hard tunnel.
And either way, I'll acknowledge that body blocking doesn't actually get banned. But that's less because it isn't a problem and more because the devs don't actually respond to issues in the game (i.e. hard tunnelling).
As cogs just finessed, blocking the hook is no more bannable than tunneling. It's a viable, if annoying but also dreadfully risky tactic.
They aren't very specific about it in the report menu, but like we said (and as cogs showed a mod saying) bodyblocking is only againstvthe rules when it is used for griefing to prevent someone from moving at all for a theoretically indefinite period of time, or working with the killer to sandbag.

I feel like if anything Jurassic Park would be a cosmetic DLC, blight dino cosmetic etc.
Ever watched the first one? Being stalked by raptors is a nightmareish scenario. There are a lot of people my age with raptor related trauma, particularly from the scene with ellie sattler and arnold's arm in the power plant with the raptors. Or the cat and mouse kitchen scene. If that isn't great horror idk what is.

With the extreme popularity of the franchise, could a chapter themed around it actually be possible? Are there any actual counter arguments against the raptor coming to dbd?
The most convincing I’ve seen is just that Jurassic Park is seen more or less as a kids movie, yet ‘The Big One’ definitely had some thrilling and terrifying moments in the first film that’d make it more than plausible in a horror game/scenario. (+ the audience of Stranger Things and FNAF are around the same age range - 10 — 40 - so)
People have also questioned a raptors competence, even though it’s described as being an apex predator, capable of thought on par with humans.Just think it’d be great to have it as a new killer.
If it were to have a full chapter, the ruined visitors centre would be ideal, with Alan Grant and Ellie Satler as the survs.

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/60BDP5DS543F/tumblr-p9vf9ggajk1sazoj2o1-500.gif
Been thinking about it a bit and the indoraptor would make an amazing killer, it's a creepy, scary antagonist in jw 2. Lore wise it's intelligence is on par with if not slightly higher than demogorgon. So it makes sense the entity would take it because of it's unnatural aggression and it certainly would be smart enough to follow the entity's wishes to hook survivors. It can move both on two legs and all fours, so giving a crouch/stalk stealth mechanic would be easy. Size wise it is similar to demogorgon and with a similar gait to so could share some of the animations.
Mechanics wise it could be a stealth/tracking killer.
Primal instincts Power: could be stopping to sniff the air for a few seconds, revealing survivors within a certain radius using killer instinct. Stalking mode that slows movement speed as it gets down on all fours to track prey, slowing movement speed, granting undetectable and a pouncing lunge similar to demogorgon's shred. Perhaps it could inflict deep wound or similar effects since it would take good planning to hit this special attack. If it's found that this is too effective it could every few seconds make the clicking sound with it's claw on the floor to give survs an audio cue to listen for and adds to the creepy atmosphere.
Perks could include:
Conditioned response: "the indoraptor's conditioning to respond to audio cues compels it to hunt down survivors making loud noises" whenever a survivor misses a skill check on a generator that results in a loud noise notification is revealed by killer instinct for 5 seconds and becomes the obession, whilst this character is the obession they suffer from the exposed status. 1 minute cooldown.
Feral strength, "a fearsome bioengineered killing machine, the indoraptor can cause as much damage to infrastructure as to living flesh" some kind of regression perk when the indoraptor damages a generator. Damaging gens is 30% faster, gens lose 10% progress when indo damages them with a cool down. And 10% speed increase to smashing doors and pallets.
Clever girl "an amalgam of the genomes of several of the most lethal dinosaurs ever known, most notably that of the velociraptor a naturally evolved ambush predator" remaining within 10 metres of stationary survivor for 3 seconds without appearing in the survivor's vision inflicts the exposed status on the survivor.
The mori would be pretty brutal, I'm thinking a nod to the scene where the Indo kills Ken Wheatley by biting his arm, lifting him off the ground, severing it then finishing him off feeding frenzy style, plenty of screaming, snarling and chomping, tail high in the air lashing about.
Add ons could be based around improving the Indoraptor's stealth, tracking and applying status effects to it's basic attacks. Ken Wheatley's arm would be a funny reference, or laser pointer/sonic device to help with tracking another nod to the movie where a laser pointer and audio cue is used to direct the Indoraptor to attack a particular target.

The jurassic world franchise is pretty popular, and i feel like this would make bhvr some decent dollars. And there are some pretty iconic survivors they could add to make a full chapter out of it: owen grady, claire dearing, or maybe some of the lesser know characters in the franchise who die like robert muldoon. So yh just interested to see what the general reaction would be. Might be nice to have another wild animal type killer like demo. The use of killer instinct more than aura reading makes it feel more like a conventional hunter tracker killer than a mystical one.
Made a post about this myself a while ago, details in here.
As I detail in the post, the indoraptor would be an ideal killer candidate. Bio engineered killing machine gone rogue? Perfection.

This is probably asking the stupid question due to it being somewhat an obvious solution but why not tweak something similar to the portals from the banquet, killer only or not? Set up obvious "doors" around the map so killers know where to go and survivors can keep an eye on. While mobility killers still get an edge by being able to "search" while moving across or cut through the middle man as choice, killers who would need to get to one end in a hurry can use them. The main negative thought of (for all of 10 seconds but still) off-hand is making Springtrap less unique. Theres been past talk of a "killer tunnel" in the basement and the like of having something to get killers from end to end. This would somewhat solve the mobility problem?
It is a good idea. Implementation would be interesting.
Would it only be for chosen killers who need the help or across the board as a new base mechanic? Would these portals be accessible by survivors too? How would this affect overall game balance, like other portal ish killers like demo and springtrap?

Emm but Pig is not weak same with GF, only players on them, just because they niche doesn't they are weak and need mobility, you kinda forced to play them well if you wanna results, plus indoor maps for this killer is an instant win I can say, since I never managed to escape against them in Lerys

I wouldn't say they are weak but they do require more skill, knowledge and looping practice. The power creep on newer killers are giving you Ranged abilities, Tracking, Traversal, etc. with almost nothing hold them back.
Ghostface can be okay, if you are good. It only takes one other survivor to knock you out of power with a lengthy cooldown. Jason has 12 seconds that he can't fly in Stealth across the entire map for as long as he likes. These punishments are not even comparable.
Yeah basically what ashes said. They arent weak per se, but relatively speaking the other killers in the game are stronger than them. They are usually bottom in most tier lists, because beyond a bit of stealh shenanigans, they have to simply run chases and m1. And neither have any type of traversal.
Ironically i actually do quite well with ghostie in pub matches, stealthy plays are my jam.

And survivors can Plot Twist and make it longer too.
Killers should be able to resign in EGC. I have yet to hear a good reason for this to not exist.
Mainly because it just straight up ends the game on the spot. Personally idk why they haven't added killer bots to replace killers who DC.
and also in egc you can still secure a kill. I've done it a bunch of times, if i have someone in chase injured when gates open then i can usualy end them.
-
Yeah just tunnel the hell out of the bot. If someone DCs that early it's almost always a loss. Bots're pretty rubbish at actually doing anything in a match. Ironically they are generally ok at chase, they can loop reasonably well bar the odd brain glitch.
It gives the actual survs time to do stuff and get BP. You can always let someone go after. I generally feel a bit harsh pulling a 4k on 3 survs after 1 dcs. And if one player dcs it's not unusual for another to dc right after or for survs to just give up
-
Yh once the game is obviously going to be a loss I tend to either just juice as many bp as I can and then play for hatch. Or I might throw myself on the killer's mercy and see if they'll let me go or farm. I usually play as a swf so we usually coordinate who will grab killer's attention so the one can hide for hatch.
As Killer when I outskill a survivor team to this degree I'll often let at least 1 or 2 of them go or at least take my pressure down a gear and spread my hooks one at a time. I'll usually spare the ones go who are obviously newer and struggle with chase, and if players are actively toxic or try to sandbag their teammates then they get to go and say hi to the entity.

You are correct, Urban Evasion has been pretty handy. I build each Survivor with as many of their teachable Perks that are usable. This keeps each Survivor kind of unique and each build fresh so they feel like less of a skin. Been playing Nea a lot lately.
Yeah i try to do similar with my survs and make builds that fit their vibes. Altruistic builds for steve, healing builds for rebecca etc

I do somewhat agree. There is a very fine balance to Survivor Perks. But if we are going to be consistently Power Creeped, something has to give.
It is an interesting one to look at. I find when most killers come out, survs usually have something in the perk toolbox to pull out, it's certainly deep enough. Take jason for example, since crouchwalking was so necessary against him you saw a lot of people running urban evasion for those first couple of weeks while his pickrate was through the roof.
When henry came out you saw a lot more people running sprint burst to counter his undergate attack.
I find new killers tend to go through that stage where people learn how to counter them, first with perks and then once they've had a bit of practice it turns to muscle memory.
