  • Game sense probably told Nancy that the pig is crouched and camping your hook. She left you for dead because she didn't want to take an ambush.

Basement Bubba is locked up in the basement by an insidious camping Bubba!!! Everyone rush down there to try to unhook him!

Pfft, nah. Let's see how Bubba likes being facecamped.

  • I'm gonna vote Oni. He's your standard 115% killer and doesn't have some cheeky gimmick that can let you win/lose a chase you would have otherwise won/lost. He approaches you, you get slashed, Oni gets rewarded.

Let Oni get rewarded enough and he gets a turbo boost. It is the survivor's fault that Oni has this turbo boost. That is very cut and dry truth every time.

The only thing that smidgens my pigeon with Oni is when he runs Infectious Fright and yeets your whole team to the shadow realm in 30 seconds. I don't like that very much.

  • I do it all the time. Even worse it's rare I can have a conversation 'cause I'll post and go do something else and come back to the page later in the day. You're normal, methinks.

  • As long as the game can end in some way shape or form you're golden. Don't worry about it.

  • Run Devour Hope. When the icon lights up you are officially not camping.

If they break your totem, well they brought it on themselves. Them the breaks.

  • Jake has always been rare. Kind of a shame.

When Jake is picked up by a slasher he makes the same noise as an Aol Instant Message being received (the bloot sound) and I never see anyone mention it anymore.

One of Dead by Daylight's eternal mysteries.

  • Nobody is hurt by getting Auric cells so they can buy different Leatherface cosmetics. It's kinda weird that people want less compensation for whatever reason. Take the free stuff being offered, dang son.

Who knows free Auric could get some new licensed killers on the Vs. list. We've got a wide variety of slashers you can get with Iri shards sure but who wouldn't want more Myers in their life?

  • Meme games. I know a lot of people want to play this game seriously but gosh darn it having that one game occasionally where everyone is just a giant dork is the best.

The amount of teammates in solo queue that I’d use this on is immeasurable lol

I don't take Dead Hard to avoid a killer's swing, I use it to dead hard through the bush Claudette / great wall of Meg.

    "I wanna help!" :/

  • Yeah I'm pretty thrilled about the voice lines. I might play my Pinhead more due to it.

  • When this game was new I was pretty for this idea unironically. I think it's too fast paced now to be an alternate objective, but I do think having more than pallets and flashlights would be cool to mess with the killer with.

Like, pushing a bunch of debris from the second floor of the Crotus Penn Asylum onto a passing slasher that isn't looking up, etc. Just general map sabotage.

  • I'd second that the game is mostly the same. You might have an advantage because you know styles of play that aren't currently in use. If you're playing Oni Boons are great because survivors deposit all their blood in one spot for you to grab at your leisure if you don't break the totem.

The rifts are easier to complete now and not a complete the rift and have 30 levels left over, so that's nice.

  • はい。デモゴルゴンは削除されました。

    BHVRはよく意味でも見当違い。 やばい。

    静める , 無駄、無理、むだ。

    僕は希望BHVR彼らの感覚に来る!

    あああああ!www

  • I use it on some of my survivors. It's very rare I can make a mental note of where both gates are as survivor. So...I'll still use it for the aura reading, the gate opening is icing on the cake.

  • Sorry you have to go through this friend. A lot of people are getting hurt by what's going on. I'm not much of a stream watcher so I'm out of the loop but I find it hard to believe someone got their feelings hurt playing his game.

I definitely think an increased compensation is in order.

  • Hey as a vet from when this game was hide and seek and we had infinites that simply would not allow you chase down a survivor (and I liked that) I have to admit I rarely share anything in common with the community. I'm my own man, always have been.

I agree with ya. Most of these changes really don't effect me, I do just see it as a bunch of new blood came in (which is good for a PvP game that has no PvE mode) and realizes they couldn't hang (ha).

A part of me does see it as yeah, go ahead and make it easier. Aura reading, window blockers etc. Okay. No think only chase. Oh, right right Nurse OP etc. Give Billy limitations on his saw. Yeah yeah.

Okay. You'll play the game now and be happy right? Old killer queues where we sat for stupid amount of times when it was peer to peer are something you'd never imagine right? Yeah. You're a good survivor all nice and happy. Yep yep. Aw look you've even got cute charms. I like the ones you picked!

    Time to sacrifice ya.

  • I think since we have so many survivors now that most of the original four weren't getting played and they didn't want to make a face for each original survivor. I get that the official answer is to save people from hurt feelings but pretty sure Leatherface is still going to tunnel and facecamp you. That's what he do.

They really should up the iri shard gift to 9k shard just in case someone wants to buy another killer and switch mains though. People that grinded out all the masks are going to be rightfully upset.

Uhhh if Michael is using Open handed thats a hacker lol.

You'll see Michael with an open hand sometimes. It's rare but it happens.

  • I tend to be tabbed out on first hook and watching the game in a tiny square while I watch YouTube or something. They better hope I realize they let me get to second state before I have to do a skill check.

It also depends on context. If the killer is the reason I got to second state then it's not a big deal, I just have to play more carefully but if my team is just derp I get ready for the hatch. Thanks for not letting me get one hooked at least.

  • I see The Shape using it sometimes, but for survivors it's anything with an aura. Lets you see from further away. My favorite use is with Kindred but Bond is popular too.

  • I'll straight out throw matches, especially if I'm playing killer. There's not a lot of challenges where I have to do it, but I do it.

For survivor I'll just equip perks that'll make it easy. (Stake out for great skill checks, left behind for hatch challenges, etc) I won't actively sabotage teammates but I'll play a lot more selfish where as I'll regularly be turbo bold and not care if I survive or not.

    I got things to do.

  • I've never heard of it either. I usually do a U turn and run into the killer with Dead Hard so even if he doesn't swing I'm behind him. Usually gets me to a pallet.

If I'm on a straightaway I usually feel it out and I'm not looking at the killer, I'm watching the red stain as it creeps onto my back. I know they're not going to hold the bluff long enough for me to vault or get to a pallet, but they don't want me to successfully dead hard. I feel it in my soul.

    I close my eyes.

    I push the button.

I am exhausted, and my character twitches violently on the ground.

  • Every Nurse I play against slaps me with their weapon when they get me on a hook. I giggle every time.

  • You know when I go out somewhere and I see rows of red lockers, I start getting a little suspicious. Random hooks everywhere? Okay. Not a normal thing, but maybe there's a reason for it.

A campfire? Oh no we're in a horror game bros.

  • Auras don't show for people in lockers, and that's Dwight's natural habitat. Each one of the areas in those screenshots have a locker nearby.

Now you might say Heartbound, there's no Dwights in my lobby! I'm the one running the perk! That makes no sense!

Dwight doesn't follow the Entity's rules.

  • Very cool aesthetic, but it's easy to get turned around or lost. The main building is very strong but I always end up on that balcony with the easel up top and think that there really should be a vault up there somewhere. My attempts to balanced landing in that building lead me to land on a second stairwell. I've just not gotten it to work for me. Floating books is pretty kino.

I'm kind of neutral on it. I don't feel it's an advantageous map or anything, but it's a cool addition. I'm sure if I spent enough time on it I'd figure out some cheeky ways to utilize the map but right now it's just follow the survivor and M1.

  • I dunno this one has kind of been a bugbear for me for a long time...add ons die at the end of the trial now and items are so plentiful. If a pair of survivors can execute their master plan to dupe an item then they earned it, but more likely than not they're hook bait.

If I play White Ward, I'm playing it for a reason. I wanna keep my item, and I will dive into lockers to do so if you're running Franklin's.

It doesn't even hurt the survivor, I have a hundreds of items in my inventory on my P3 survivor. Franklins successfully stops the item from being used in the match it's in. That's its purpose. It doesn't need to effect the aftermath of the match.

  • Oh okay.png

I like to try to hook all 4 survivors at the same time.

  • I did the gen and maxed out on objective, time to click the flashlight for that pip.

  • Back in yonder day I used to never M1 as Hillbilly. I exclusively used M2. That's what made him special. If I wanted to M1 I'd play Trapper.

Now I can't play Hillbilly the way I used to like to. My saw is only for travel now. Travel and the space program.

  • I say the only time hard camping should be allowed by the killer is if it's the basement hooks. The hooks should act like Pyramid Head cages if the killer lingers for too long. That's my take on it anyway.

Edit: I'd love it for the sole fact that if I hook a survivor next to an open exit gate and the timer is counting down I can stare at them for a few seconds, free the hook and send them across the map into a potentially even more perilous set up. Killers could use this as a very tactical tool.

  • I wouldn't mind sitting there disguised as a locker while all the generators get done while I sit there giggling at how clever and devious I am. Survivors don't really move once they've found a generator to latch on to.

Wraith also has the sneak up on survivors bit covered so how would you do this and be effective? Hmm....

It'd have to be something like floating around the map invisible with no way to interact with survivors without pulling them into a topsy turvy alternate reality (so each map would have a pocket level) and assaulting survivors with furniture to injure them and if they get downed without escaping the alternate world they pop out on a random hook kinda deal.

Yeah you could go around sucking all four survivors into the alternate reality but in the time it takes to do that survivors already inside could escape back to the trial so pick your poison. That'd give you time to be the dangerous table or chair you were always meant to be.

  • That's the power of calcium talking.

  • Last game I got a newbie Meg that blew up my gen 5 times in a row she got tunneled by a newbie trapper and put in the basement with 5 traps. Welcome to DbD Meg.

  • I usually just play normally, say I'll report them and forget their name in the menu and go on to the next game.

If it's a ghostface with hatchets I just accept that I got outplayed.

  • As survivor Ruin is the entire reason I started running Soul Guard. I just can't be bothered to look for totems. If I find it, great, if not I don't feel like searching every nook and cranny.

  • As survivor I can't be bothered with worrying about traps unless I'm next to a hooked survivor. I instantly assume there is a triangle somewhere and I'll crouch walk to the hook. If the hooked survivor panics and sets it off or I hear the terror radius then I'll tank a hit. I just need to get the survivor off the hook and I'm happy.

If the Hag is good I really don't want to play against her anyway so I trip traps and throw my hands up and say 'whatchu gonna do 'bout it'. Hooking a survivor? You best believe I'm gonna sprint around the map like a doggo fresh out of the bath.

Hag either does something or she doesn't. Chase me slowpoke, I don't care. I run heal heavy builds so slapping me once and teleporting away does nothing for ya. I play against Hag like I was about to attempt to escape from hook to get out of the game but then I somehow unhook myself and now I've gotta stick it out. Game said we've gotta have at it, so let's have at it.

When playing as Hag I generally know where the survivor is going to go just from experience and instead of just webbing up 3 gens I tend to draw traps as I go but I make sure to always have 10 down. So my trap web is more like a trap tripwire that cannot be predicted because I don't even have a plan. UNLESS I'm on the game. Traps go in the room divisions. That map is kind of mean as Hag if nobody has a flashlight. I try not to camp because it's boring but if someone trips the single hook trap then I'll warp to it and give the survivors a pat on the back.

  • Part of me wants to change my Steam name to The_Trapper and play in default without lunging. In the post game they'll see my name and it'll be the ultimate mindgame.

Especially if I took them down.

  • I don't think it matters in the long run. Nobody is going to go 'Hey Heartbound, you were nice that one time in a match x years ago. I've got your back champ.'

I still like giving hatch and messing around just because. I don't think that'll change.

  • I can't believe people are still using perks.

Grind instantly finished. No perks no problem.

  • How else am I going to get you to pick me up for a DS stun?

  • 726-7262633_sonic-the-hedgehog-ring-hd-png-download.png

Honestly though she'll probably just hit you with her nails Hag style.

  • If I'm in a chase and you're next to me it's your duty as my teammate to vacate the premise, run to the other side of the map, and hide in a locker until the chase concludes. Thank you sir or ma'am.

  • Self Care is my big one. Every time I don't run it, it bites me hard since I'm usually the last survivor. Feels bad when another health state is the only thing standing between you and the exit gate.

Everything else is a toss up really. Depends on what my sacrificial nuggets got on their way to level 50.

  • On my google news people are writing news articles about it to and referencing threads from the forum. Not being able to clicky clicky your flashlight seems to have opened up a black hole in the minds eye of the players despite it being a base game perk.

I've always been in the "instinctively face the wall" camp when picking up a survivor due to experience, but I think I'm having a bit of a giggle over it. The base game perks are supposed to be the strongest by design. If they're running Lightborn, they're not running a different perk in its place.

  • Careful there might be a Canadian teenager in there.

    They might say sorry.

  • I'm so glad to see Iron Maiden in the shrine too. If you get a lobby of 4 Dwights it's a guaranteed 4k.

Plus if you open the lockers faster and reload. Keep the action going. It's like flossing your teeth: the perk.
