Its literally useless now, please devs do anything with the perk. If you needed 2 gens for hatch to spawn it made perfect sense, but now?
How about this:
20/30/40% to action speed. Healing, doing gens, sabotaging, opening gates, doing totems ect.
Or
3/4/5% boost to everything (running, vaulting, repairing, wiggling free ect, you get the idea)
-
Because they can only 'bully' new players and need any ego boost they can have.
Funny, that after playing for so long they still suck at game, even tho it still is biased in favour of survivors and swf is still broken.
-
Windows were always ment like this. If you are smart enough to stay to close to it, then you deserve the hit. Its all about timing.
-
No mither just shouldnt display icon for the killer. Boom its a decent perk.
-
@PigNRun Huntress and infinite exhaustion addons?
-
Thing about sabo is... you are not doing gens, essentially wasting time. Low killers will fall for that but experienced ones know exactly how to counter this. I'm not saying you shouldnt have your fun with sabo, i do it from time to time for memes.
But in general if you can afford saboing the match is already won so you just mess arround, but in normal game its the way of having no gens done.
-
Corrupt intervention is already the best perk to buy killer some time. It could last slightly longer tho. You have Ghostface perk to block gens during the game.
-
@ShrekIsHot of course, yet noone have infinite addons and its just good enough if saving beast marks for swf for example.
-
@ShrekIsHot yellow knife marks are good enough aswell.
-
Kindred, literally the best perk in game. Recently buffed to infinity and beyond.
If you need to ask why, then you are the reason experienced killers can stomp non kindred non swf so easly.
-
There is no such thing as "x best build". Every person has their own style, just pick perks that help with stuff that you struggle with.
There is, however a build that works on everyone. Bbq, knockout, corrupt intervention, sloppy butcher, whispers. Pick any 4 of those 5 and you will have good time.
Notice that i didn't list ruin. It really isn't a perk you should rely on, as it does not work when you need it. Bad survivors will spend ages looking for totem and missing skillchecks... but you don't need help with bad survivors because they are... well, bad.
Good survivors will just work through it, leaving you with only 3 perks in time you actually needed help.
Sloppy and corrupt, slow the game down, nothing to write about it. Bbq, you got someone, you go for next, cycle continous untill everyone is dead. Knockout, you downed someone but there is another one within range. Just go after them, one person is on the ground not doing anything, another in a chase and someone needs to go save first guy. That's how you stall the game.
Whispers, find first person easly, so cycle can begin early, don't waste time searching areas where there is no survivors.
On M1 killers consider using infectious fright.
Hope that helps a bit.
Edit: Leatherface is very loopable, brutal strenght, bamboozle or fire up help a lot on him.
Edit2: Leatherface or Ghostface?
Edit3: Playing arround basement or campy strats may work on low survivors, better players will just genrush and leave. Especially with kindred.
-
Not smart enough.
I tackled this issue many times, but people just refuse to do totems (cleansing all 5 prolongs game by 20 seconds... totally not worth it...) and then complain about noed. Which is underpowered af actually.
-
Maybe bcoz mom had no counter play from m1 killers and preventing noed prolongs game by 20s?
Edit: you literally have perk and items to find totems if youre too potato to do it yourself. Same goes for hitting greats. Quit your bitching because noed is underpowered.
-
Balanced or not i find it disgusting that survivors are allowed to have counter perks while killers not.
Examples: bbq distortion, ds enduring
-
You literally can slug for 60s. If ds is possibility that means it was reckless save (99% of times), just get another person. Make your choice has the same timer as ds. Just saying.
Edit: I agree that enduring is a joke now.
-
@RoKrueger Of course, killers job is to kill and that is 101% legit approach.
However, i despise DCing and farming/killing teammates in games like dbd so much. If killer dcs, game ends, survivors don't loose anything. When it is survivor dcing very early on (most of the times, because they did really stupid mistake) its other 3 survivors that have to deal with 5 gen 3 man game, which in most cases means depip and getting rekt.
I found out, most dcs actually stay to spectate, and when they see others getting free farm they just go nutts. Often in post game chat.
I just enjoy punishing cancerous players and rewarding normal chill dudes. My prefference.
-
Billy and Leatherface.
1. Not that easy to pick up not that hard to get good at them.
2. Crazy muthatrucker witch chainsaw that can be anywhere/known for eating people.
3. Lethal potential at any rank and stage of the game.
Balanced, quite efficient and fits the role of killer you should be afraid of. Like why play anything else xD.
Edit: I like Trapper and constant trap paranoia aswell. They are just killers that must be respected even when gates are opened, its never boring with them because one mistake and you're in some deep stuff.
Edit2: @HatCreature i really like playing against Ghostface. His sounds, animations and design in general (personality too) are super cool! Spine chill is so good against him tho :/. Kinda destroys that uncertainity element for me.
-
@Gorgonia keep in mind that survivors make camping work, not killers. If you guys didn't genrush camping killer and 3 or 4 died to him that's on you.
Still not using most broken perk huh?
-
You over value Ruin. Its a perk that works wonders against potatoes (when you don't even need it) and does almost nothing against good survivors (when you actually do need it). I find corrupt intervention to be way more efficient and consistent at this. Problem with slowdown perks is this: mobile killers will benefit from them even more, widening the gap even more.
@starpilotsix "I'd love to see a few perks that address this imbalance, that aren't that useful for characters who can zoom across the map but are a benefit for killers that need to take their time to cross a map." There is literally nothing that would benefit slow killers more than mobile ones.
Detection? They can go check it faster, leaving survivors less time to hide/counter.
Instadown? They can find new survivors faster, or catch up to them more efficiently.
I would like to see some love for non meta killers... but they are non meta for a reason, and i honestly dunno how to do this. But keep on brainstorming, maybe you will find some clever solutuions <3.
Edit: i actually have idea how to make the gap slightly smaller. Pop goes the weasel having no timer, or at least twice the time. Currently i waste most of it procs unless i go Billy or Nurse.
-
Tutorial is fine. Shows the very basics and that's all it should show.
-
There is not a thing like maining survivor x. They are all the same.
-
Just don't saw instantly. Keep bar at 90%, let them juke once, saw. Izi dc.
-
You could just kill others and close the hatch. Easy.
-
If you want to main someone you level them up last to get other perks. As survivor you should lvl up David and Nea first, no matter what. Dead hard, were gonna live forever, urban and balanced are top tier perks. Next Claudette for self care and then whatever you like. Maybe prestige David to get new perks. If you like Myers consider leveling nurse and Doctor first as he benefits from monitor and abuse with nurses calling the most in entire game. Bbw from Leatherface is best killer perk, also gives double points.
On characters you know you will not play much, go cheap. Always take a perk and then as cheap as possible. I highly recommend buying Leatherface and Doctor with Feng dlc, they all have really good perks.
Worth a mention: quick and quiet, adrenaline from Meg, unbreakable from Bill.
Edit: Once you paid for teachable (shrine, or this killers bloodweb) the perk has a chance to appear in any killers bloodweb. So yes :). Keep in mind, the more perks you unlock, the less likely it is that this 1 specific perk will appear in bloodweb. Its also harder to get them to tier 3.
-
@SoylentPixie thanks mate, hope to stumble upon you as survivor but not as killer ;).
-
It is balanced as it is now.
-
Well, i don't 'punish' swf, i just take actually strong stuff, because i tend to meme with builds against randos.
Swf tend to be altruistic in a stupid way so i take infectious bbq. Works wonders, tells you if someone is there for pallet or flashlight save. If no bbq procs i search hook area very carefully, they are always there.
If 2 dudes tbag or point at me to leave the hook i just laugh at them and watch them killing their ally and not progressing game one bit xD. If they play normally so do I.
Edit: As mistar said, mad grip makes them mad too, kek.
-
@Bithard If total totem ammount is increased to 10 then its fair.
-
This was discussed many times already.
Noed was nerfed twice already, and its not even a decent perk to begin with.
Destroying all 5 totems prolongs the game by 20 seconds. Git gud.
-
I like her design, visual, story ect.
Survivors don't like Spirit, because they can't just braindead loop her. She makes you guess. She is not the greatest but unpredictability often works in her favour.
-
No killer is viable at except Nurse then. But its thread about Plague, not killers beeing to weak in general. Right?
-
@Blueberry Trapper not viable at r1. I'm going to stop you right there.
TheEntityLeftHand
Go, praise and then come back.
-
@Blueberry Well i don't know what you expect from killers tbh. By your logic Billy and Trapper are ######### aswell, yet they do very well against every rank survivors, in the right hands. I think you confuse survivors in general beeing strong with swf comm groups breaking the game even more.
I was consistently r1 on both sides every month untill may (12h shifts, i just don't play more than 10 hours a month now) and my r1 experience is not what you describe. Sure there are games with really sweaty comm 4man groups, but its minority.
Edit: I actually noticed that r1 is way more chill than r4-6 because regular r1s are just people who play a lot, mostly memeing, while 4-6 usually tryhard to get r1 achievement.
Edit2: Panic pallets, that's why i mentioned abusing weakest link.
Edit3: One of most loopable killers? Bunny momma blushes ;).
We don't have to agree about Plague really. For me she is quite strong, if you do well against her good for you. Only buff for her i really look forward too is infectious fright fix as it works like 70% of the time, with no calm spirit in game :/.
-
@Blueberry Everything you say are general killer related issues, that Plague suffers from by just not beeing a Nurse.
Game was, is, and always will be balanced in favour of survivors, that's ok. But perma broken team is huge advantage if you stay unpredictible. No matter the rank, if survivor has only one chance he will drop pallets way, way faster. If not he will get rekt when killer doesn't respect it. She can't apply pressure, that's why you 3-4 gen with her. Infectious intervention compliment her super well. 115ms is 115ms, not to be ######### with as broken survivor.
-
@NMCKE its supposed to, but current bl does literally nothing. Way to easy to loose, way to small benefit. It also doesn't help at stronger loops.
-
You guys miss the point completely. Survivor's job is to survive. If you choose to sacrifice others to save yourself that's... actually reasonable. Stop feeling so entitled and just accept that sometimes you are not winning.
Scummy? Most people i meet everyday are hidden scumbags down to the core.
-
Current bloodlust is a joke, yeah...
-
You can just leave to not see postgame chat or hide it all together.
-
Well i think Hag is good, just not popular.
But flashlights are way to strong against her. If you snipe Hag player and take flashlight with urban its way too easy to bully. I think flashlights should:
-highlight traps but take way longer to destroy them
-not highlight them but destroy as fast as it is now.
I find it weird that maps can track and reveal her traps xD.
-
@Blueberry well, that just don't make any sense. Sure there are balanced landing broken maps, but that aint just Plagues problem. You think staying injured is not dangerous so i assume you respect pallets to much. DH is also one time trick, because once you know its there its really hard to fall for it. Just focus area on map with worse loops and make them 4 gen themselves. Eventually there will be no pallets there. If you found weakest link in team exploit it to hell and back.
It does work on r1, dunno why, but it does.
@thesuicidefox i would love to see this as ultra rare because her rares are the worst in game so far. Exception beeing puke aura ofc.
-
Swf should face killers of rank equal or higher of highest rank withing swf. Period.
-
^.
-
Billy, Nurse and Trapper are best designed killers so far. If you underestimate them you can die at any time but they require skill and game knowedgle. Just as you should to a 'killer'.
Problem is: Devs are willingly designing new underpowered killers. It is not achievement at all to escape killer of your skill level. But when you face really good killer that knows what he is doing and who seen it all already - man, survivor gameplay is exciting af!
Looking at you TheEntityLeftHand Senpai.
Edit: Myers is well designed too!
-
Hex perks are garbage, every single one of them. Of course, most of them can work wonders in specific situations but are way too unreliable.
-
Lmao 5 blinks isn't even efficient. 3 konferencji blinks are way better (and cheaper).
-
I honestly don't understand this Plague rants. If survivors don't cleanse they are all one hit ponies. If they cleanse you have aoe ranged attack. Win-win. In addition survivors can't really hide in tight spots, because she can instadown then. She is not the best but she is pretty good and versitile.
Was she nerfed and i didn't notice?
-
Lmao doctor with this build is so easy to beat, it literally takes 2 people who are not absolute potatoes. If you are alone then you take hatch. Quit your whining, Doctor is already underpowered as heck.
-
Nurse is very unfun to play for me. No matter how many kills i have i am never "happy" after trial as her. Never satisfied. I also get very easly annoyed when i blinked and hit perfectly, but nurse hit wall or hook survivor for some weird reasons.
I didnt even enjoyed her at time of bugged "blocked" windows, i just went Trapper. Every survivor who abused this glitch deserved to see only nurses for 1 year, but i just can't play something i don't even slightly enjoy.
-
Myers is not killer to chase people with (he is not bad at this, 115% is still 115%), he excels at surprise hits. M&a, nurses and smart t3 timing is the way.
-
Just because most survivors are potatoes it doesn't mean game is biased against them.
No matter how good the killer is, if its not Spirit, Nurse or Trapper balanced landing allows good survivors to loop for good 2-3 minutes just in one structure on 6 maps currently (indefinately if survivor is really, really good due to constant lack of vision which denies bl). Let me also remind you, that removal of too many windows and pallets was reverted back. Killer perks considered top tier have very, very easy and efficient counterplays, while almost none of survivor perks does not (ds beeing exception).
If that is biased against survivors for you then we have nothing to talk about. Game was, is and always will be balanced in favour of survivors simply because it needs more of them to function.
