That is against rules (and a horrible thing to do) but the game isn't held hostage.
The game being held hostage = no way to end. In no situation can the killer hold game hostage. Survivors however, can.
If the last survivor is body blocked by the killer before the hatch is closed (and gates aren't opened), the game will not end.
-
The solution here is to nerf Franklin's. Scummy perk that was buffed and is receiving even further buffs next patch.
-
Given the choice? I’ll take the zombies, please.
-
Thank God this didn't go through.
-
I've had nothing but bad games playing them after the nerf. Survivors counter Victor way too easily now. Down a survivor with Victor? Punished with a five second cooldown where the other survivors will crush you before you can even do anything.
-
As long as it comes with a phasing animation visible to survivors, sure!
-
If they won't fix the spawns, at least fix when they become hex totems. My proposal is that hexes are only applied to dull totems once their effect has taken place. For example: first time a survivor lets go of a generator, Ruin applies to a dull totem. Or first hitting a survivor with a basic attack, Third Seal is placed on a totem. And so forth.
-
Zombies can be hit or miss, but I just got out of a game where one basement camped a survivor and got a down for me. But then there's times they're stuck wandering into objects as well. He's fun!
-
I'm having a blast with Nemesis in red ranks, even if I don't always 4k. A lot of this game is RNG shenanigans, and I just accept what it is.
-
I dunno, every time I see him he looks mad. Like, this is him in puppet form:
-
I too was a Self-Care critic after its nerf until only a little while ago. Mathematically, Self-Care is actually more time-effective than letting others heal you. As long as the person can get the heal off, they are allowing their teammate(s) to perform other actions (namely, repairs) at regular speed. Plus, best wishes if everyone is injured and someone needs to go for an unhook.

I mean keys won’t be able to open the hatch when all the charges are depleted so it is an objective nerf to keys.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant that the key nerf isn’t good. I know I’m in the minority, but I think keys are ok as they are.
-
Still experiencing this on Clown... mods???

Well now in the mid chapter keys will be nerfed so that’s good.
I respectfully disagree, and new Franklin's gives way too much value in the way of countering all items just by doing basic attacks as a killer.
-
Honestly, it was buffed for everything but keys. I despise this perk now more than I ever did.
-
The overheat is not his issue. His janky movements are, and F tier addons.

Yeah, so the majority of time I see a DC, it's because somebody got downed first, or because they tried a tech and the killer saw through it, or because they don't like the killer, or because they loaded onto a map they hate, or because Lethal Pursuer showed them strong spawns. There's no BMing in sight, and I'm not happy they're gone, I'm pissed I loaded into the match with someone who was going to dip on me in 0.2 seconds instead of someone who was actually willing to play the game.
At least when the killer does it, the match is over. When a survivor does it, I have to limp through the rest of a doomed game scrambling between hooks with little to no gen progress, wasting my offerings, and walking out with 10k points at the end.
You're better off DC'ing yourself then. Get into another match with 1-5 cakes and hopefully it goes more pleasant.
-
Personally, I'm happy they're gone. First of all: if someone's going to leave, they're going to leave. There's a dang button in the game for it for crying out loud. They already suffer the loss of all earned points, rank, etc. And if they're getting BM'd from either side, why should they be subjected to that torment?
-
Yeah.. you think after going through five bloodwebs at level 50, they'd know we get it. A very annoying feature.
-
Nothing affects Victor besides add-ons, why should zombies get special treatment?
-
This is the feedback section, not story time?
-
Yeah, only SWF can optimally use this perk. Which is sad and why you almost never see it.

What was the old version of Remember Me?
I actually forgot so had to go look. Same thing just stronger values, up to 30 seconds.
-
Yeah, something is definitely off. I’ve lost count how many times I went to Haddonfield, Ormond, and Springwood over this event. On both sides without offerings for the most part. Even as a survivor it’s freakin’ old.
-
It can be a very strong main building depending on RNG, but that's about all the map has going for it. Also keep in mind it's a very small map.

Rank Reset just happened.
Ok, but ranks 14-17 as a rank 6 killer???
-
This is one of the stupidest perk nerfs they ever did. I would argue Small Game was nerfed more than it was buffed.
Also, I doubt they’ll reintroduce it on another perk. They don’t want perks that counter specific killers, which is why Small Game was nerfed in the first place. And don’t forget Slippery Meat nerf/buff/rework.
-
I strongly advocate for this. Even if you don't like someone else's build, "knowledge is power." "Knowing is half the battle." I want to have an idea of how my teammates might be playing, how I can work with and around their perks, etc. etc.
How they implement it in DbD Mobile is that you see the item, add-ons, and perks of your fellow survivors - as well as all of their rarities - in the pre-game lobby. You can only leave if it hasn't found four survivors and a killer, but it usually matches you up quick - so you better be ready to go. But yeah if I see someone with a totally immersed build that screams 'I am waiting for you all to die for hatch', guess who's not getting saved from a camping killer? And if I hadn't been able to see their build pre-game lobby, I wouldn't be able to make such an informed decision. Solo survivors deserve this quality of life change.
I'd also add to let them see each other's selected offerings, so that they don't conflict them unnecessarily.

Have you seen iron will nerf stridor?
Here are the differences:
- That is one perk countering one other perk. Lightborn counters all blinding items and perks.
- Even new Stridor still helps against healthy survivors with Iron Will (breathing, when working properly). Iron Will only helps survivors in the injured state.
- Iron Will counters one aspect of tracking injured survivors. There are countless others. Lightborn hard stops all blinding items. (And don't forget Plague and Nemesis's infections stopping IW from working at all!)

I hate nurse but this isn’t the way to go with her. If they are intnent on keeping her blink I’d give her 110% move speed but she can’t blink through solid objects
So instant DC on all of the lovely indoor maps?
-
It would make the perk much more appealing than it is now, other than for a one-time hook the obsession four times in one trial Rift challenge. And keen survivors would know it is in play if they pay attention to the obsession constantly changing upon unhooking.
-
It’s a bogus perk with no counter play or feedback, punishes a survivor for simply trying to use an item for its intended purpose. There’s no other perk like it in the game, should be nerfed/reworked.
All of the survivor perks that were thought to counter specific killers were changed; why is a perk targeting one specific item still okay?
-
It should apply to all status effects, even removing permanent status effects every minute or so.

One of the problem of Hex is they are either not strong enough for the chance of losing 1 perk or their power reflect the fact that survivor can render the perk useless. Combined with heavy RNG that can either make you hex last only few second in the match or is almost impossible to find make things worst. Go try to look on totems on the Swamp map or some indoor map. The time spend on looking for them alone can make you lose so much time & you can easily miss them. That is just not fun for the survivor. On the contrary on some maps the totem spawn are so bad that survivor can find them easily and that's not fun for killer.
The totem spawn in the House of Pain is one of the many example of a really bad totem spawn. It's close to a gen and if you run next to it might as well take a look at it.
The video I link in my previous post would not only make bones a core mechanic but also solve gen speed at the same time and imo that's what the game should aim for. By making all bones hex totem the RNG on totem spawn doesn't matter as much, it add a secondary objective and make even the worst hex worth picking up.
You definitely don’t mean Grim Pantry, which has two of the most obvious and dedicated totem spawns of any map.

Oh yes... let's have a killer perk that activates as the Survivors are literally running out the gate.
I gave another option, no comment on that? Also, you're always welcome to open the gate yourself as killer.
-
Absolutely not. It is one of the most balanced perks in the game. If anything, DH should only apply to a totem once it has two or more tokens. The fact it can be cleansed first thing in the match before you even get a speed boost for hooking a couple survivors is atrocious.

LQB
-
Even better: bring back the old ambiance and mist, and re-enable those moonlight offerings. Us old-timers miss DbD.

Killers in this forum told you the solution, do gens. So remove ds and use prove thyself, I think almost everyone changed ds with pt
That’s what I did. I’ve also noticed an uptick in people complaining about gen speeds. Hmmm, coincidence?
-
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned too much is the spawns. The last time I played this map, I was killer with Lethal Pursuer but didn’t even need it. I spawned at the top of the main stairwell facing the exit gate, and visibly saw a survivor out there by the gate. I will probably DC if that happens to me as a survivor.

Sounds oppressive. Does Eruption proc off of Surge? because I could have sworn that I got hit by this recently where Surge caused a gen me and a friend were working on to blow up and then we got hindered by Eruption at the same time as well.
Either way whatever it was was nasty.
The gen has to be kicked to then be erupted, so no. Surge wouldn’t work.
I personally find Eruption terrible and never see it. How many gens can you give basic kick that won’t be completed before your next down?
-
Heck no. Been playing since 2016, and I can adamantly say that original Undying was the worst period this game has ever gone through. It is far more balanced now, and I enjoy it so much more with Devour Hope. Old Undying practically only helped Ruin. Now it helps all hexes.
-
Example (no name-shaming).
-
Rainbow rank matches strike again. Green rank PH, two yellow rank survivors, can't remember other. Again, rank two here. BHVR???
-
Not sure, I’m getting a lot of lower ranks teammates too. Had a rank 14 teammate again today as a red rank survivor.

I've seen multiple killers knock everyone down when I was in the baby ranks and let them all bleed out while it afk'd in a corner.
That's not holding the match hostage. While it is toxic, survivors bleed out to death after a set amount of time.

If it really is "every man for himself" and it's just one survivor escaping down the hatch, then that's fine.
The problem is when there's 3 survivors left, 2 gens left to repair, and while you're defending gens suddenly the game just ends because they all vanished down the hatch.
The result is identical to forcing the killer to DC.
Sorry, but the result is not the same. DCing results in a loss of all bloodpoints earned in the match and depipping - neither of which will happen just by multiple survivors ending the match via hatch escape. There is also an achievement related to all four survivors escaping the hatch, so don't expect that functionality to change anytime soon.
-
You misspelled nerf.

Killers can hold the game hostage as well, it's happens both ways.
How so? Unless we’re talking about the last survivor being body blocked by the killer, I can’t think of any other way.
-
Just one of the few hard counters of each other in the game is finally gone. There are more that I would like to see changed (looking at you, Lightborn).
