Instead I would prefer they are a different color and/or appearance than pallets and windows. It is very valuable information to know if the breakable wall is there or not.

On PC: WGLF, SB, PT, Self-Care.
On mobile: Spine Chill, Resilience, BT, Self-Care.
It’s almost a completely different game between the two.

If we want all maps disabled someone has a beef with, we might end up with only Hawkins Lab as single map left or something. Then they could close down the servers as well. It's not like the variety is that big as is anyway.
This wasn't because I didn't like a map. It was because I experienced what I perceived to be an exploit (place survivors can reach but not the killer). Apparently killer can, but I'm not going to bother figuring it out during a live match.
-
Of course I'd like to be able to figure this out myself, but no chance even with the new bots and tutorials.

I'm not aware of an exploit with Ormond? Not anything that's game breaking at least - there are rocks that both killer and survivor can climb upon?
Where does the killer climb up?

Regardless of what others have said above, you can’t deny Doctor is perhaps the only killer without a reasonable cool down for his special attack. Imagine if Spirit was able to phase as often as he is able to spam Shock Therapy.
-
Agreed to both buffs!

Well, some achievements should be hard. Survivor's achievement Left for Dead is even harder imo.
Sure, but there's a fine line between hard and practically unobtainable without farming. Those two achievements are way different to get today then when they were released. I got them long ago. Left For Dead for me happened to be during a Nurse match on old Wretched Shop with far gates. Nothing like that is ever going to happen again.
I like to earn my achievements legitimately. I have actually relocked achievements that were handed to me to go back and actually earn them.

Last one tried to go into locker, I just waited for 20 minutes before he got tired of it.
See? And if he had a big brain, he coulda DC'd and been through his next match in that amount of time (assuming no recent DCs prior).
-
A while back I might have agreed with you; but now that all perks are streamlined by rarity and alphabetically (in that order), I don't see the big fuss.
Don't get me wrong through: we could still use lots of QoL changes for the massive perk library. Loadouts, filters, etc.

How is it different now?
I have done it month ago...
Congratulations! It's not different now. I'm very surprised no one BM'd you.

Unfortunately yes. They can't change the trophy but if they changed the add-on it would be broken.
Even if they change the add-on, as OP said I guarantee every match at least one person will DC/not let themselves die this way out of spite, once they realize the killer is going for the achievement.

God no
So how do you suggest anyone earn this achievement legitimately in 2021?

i think the devs are okay with counter perks/add-ons
Since 5.1.0, iron will completely mitigates the effects of stridor.
Of course they are. Lightborn is a thing. And I don't agree with it for either side. Nothing should 100% stop another thing in the game, 'because perk' or the like.
-
I'm going to have to disagree, as it would hard stop Nurse's Calling - already a niche perk. Bite the Bullet is powerful as it is.
-
Alternatively, lower the rarity of the map item to common, and possibly even lower the rarity of some of its add-ons. It’s a pretty stupid base item to be considered ‘rare’. Who needs to track only gens? Besides an indoor map or new player maybe. Hence, make it appear more often.
That, or it also tracks totems without needing the Red Twine add-on.
-
I disagree, I think it would lose its meaning if they’re already in the dying state. However, I don’t see why it can’t apply to blocking for a healthy survivor. That part has always bugged me.
-
You also used to be able to watch ads for free things - anything from a green BP offering to auric cells. Their economy was so jacked up early on that I was able to get this amount of keys in about six months:
And all items + addons are shared among all survivors, so no problem with prestiging.

How about:
- While reading another Survivors Aura, your Aura is shown to them.
- Increases your Aura Reading ranges by 8/12/16m
Nope, because it still wouldn't do anything on its own. As OP mentioned, this is the only perk in the game that functions this way and ought to be changed.
Perhaps it could show the intensity of charges remaining in fellow survivors items within a short range?

Perk vs Addon, i see no problem with that. Plus no one use OoO now because the side effect can screw you more than help you.
Undetectable means you still has 0 TR and hide killer's red light, Being able to see wraith breaking pallet cross the map with Alert isn't broken.
I use new OoO! You just have to be cognizant of when the 30 seconds is about to pass, whether or not you want your aura revealed at that time or not.
Actually my only biggest grievance with OoO is that it only affects gen, totem cleansing, and healing speeds, and not all actions as Spine Chill and Resilience do. Perhaps they thought it would be busted in chase for vaulting if combo’d, but I don’t see why it can’t affect chests and gates.

No because you could only be grabbed if you were injured. That's not "all the power"
Maybe under your way of wanting it, but from what I recall it didn't matter if you were healthy or injured when hatch grabbing was a thing.
-
Self-Care is factually better for the team than having other survivors heal you, unless they have faster than normal healing methods in play. End of story.
-
Just putting to rest the confusion others are stating about this perk. Taken from the wiki below (take note of the red underlined portion):
-
Just need to buff damaging a generator to do 5% base damage, and nerf Pop to 20%.

@Crowman said:

Not quite. Prove Thyself doesn't completely remove the penalty due to how the game calculates everything. The penalty is applied first and then the buff is applied on the reduced speed so 2 survivors end up doing a gen closer to 41s. It also only "negates" 1 penalty so 3 or 4 survivors still suffer ~15% and ~30% penalty respectively.
Still it's a good perk as it's a free toolbox for multiple people on the same gen, but it's at the cost of survivors stacking instead of splitting which is harder to deal with.
I wasn’t going to get super technical with the calculations, but yeah, hence the bar still turns red with PT. However, reread the perk. It gets up to 45% for up to three additional survivors and affects other survivors as well.
-
@Zokenay said:
Doesnt that perk save you like 6 secs or something? also it forces the teammates to be next to each other to even get value out of it
Also if the game lasted only 3 mins thats more than just a freaking perk mate.
No, it doesn’t. It makes multiple survivors work at 100% efficiency on generators as long as there’s one instance of PT at the gen. So two people on a generator with PT takes 40 seconds instead of 80 (not including other modifiers).
But yeah, guessing three minutes is an exaggeration here.

This! Why are killers still able to patrol doors that spawn so close together sometimes?
Doors have to stay RNG. It would be unfair and unfun if every match either side could always expect a win simply based on doors being close or far. Not to mention how various killers have advantages or disadvantages with gates.
-
The new system is worse, because killers can't be greedy about using pallets - whereas survivors can. If I as a killer am choosing to not respect a pallet, am all the way through it, get a hit, hear injured noises and see blood, only for the survivor to run away undamaged while I am bounced back to the other side of the downed pallet (on a wired and good connection by the way)... what did I do wrong to get punished like that?
-
-
If you start chase with an AFK killer though, you are also rewarding them chase points.
-
As the killer maybe. For me as a solo survivor, sucks when my teammate is the Meg teabagging Myers to his face.
-
I wouldn’t be surprised, pallets are currently the most broken they’ve been since the release of the All-Kill chapter. This time the killer is getting the short end of the stick though.

Personally I don't have a problem with the delay, you just need to throw the bottle far in front of you so that by the time you get to the cloud it's already active.
Even at maximum arc I still encounter issues getting invigorated most of the time. Without the parade glove addon anyways.
-
@White_Owl said:
The delay is there to not make the survivor get the speed buff.
The delay is way too long though, and needs to be cut down by at least half a second.
-
Good, maybe it can be permanently disabled this time.
-
Yep, however they implemented this is just wrong. I hear a connecting hit as if they went down, only to see they're still running around? Guess I'm not playing killer anymore until this 'feature' is gone. It is game-breaking from the killer side.

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding but Billy as in Hillbilly? I run into him VERY consistently, and find him quite a struggle to paly against as a survivor (Also a new player so that's probably why) but I find matches where people paly Hillbilly like 1 in every 3 games, I see him more than any other Killer
Probably because you as a new player are being matched up against new killers, with little or no paid DLC. Billy is basically nonexistent in higher ranks.

I'm not talking about the actual strength of the perk tho, which is what it sounded like you were talking about. I'm talking about needing it due to the relative strength of it compared to other anti-slugging perks and equalising them.
But yeah, tenacity is great, but it works better with unbreakable. You don't even need the other survivor. Other perks like soul guard, flip flop, no mother etc. Are crap on their own and need unbreakable to reliably work on their own.
Also my issue with tenacity is that the killer can notice the increases speed and pick you up and you need to get to another survivor and the closest one might be on the other side of the map whereas unbreakable is 20-seconds and you're up. That's why I'd say unbreakable is better.
That's my main issue, is that if you want something to counter slugging, perks other then unbreakable are either weaker, useless or need it.
So is the solution to nerf Unbreakable, or buff the others?

That's completely not what I was talking about, but ok.
Your title suggests nerfing the perk, and I'm saying I think it's fine how it is. You say it blows the other anti-slugging perks out of the water, which may be true for most but Tenacity can be as or more effective than Unbreakable. Just requires a fellow survivor to pick you up when ready.
-
I think I can count on one hand the amount of times I've seen Unbreakable used since the DS nerf... very situational perk that is fine as is.
-
He takes the cake as most boring killer to face. Can’t blame ‘em.
-
As long as you don’t get Red Forest, Haddonfield, Ormond, or indoor maps.. yeah, pretty much guaranteed at least a 3k as killer.
-
@ClumsyTrapper said:
Off the record just needs the aura portion to be permanent ditch the silencing part all together leave that to iron will and give distortion a rework
You would also have to rework Sole Survivor, unless you plan on not ever being hooked while using it. Also, permanent aura hiding just for being hooked once is ridiculous.

Idk man, I feel like that's basically the same as saying old moris were balanced because they were rare and situational, or because survivors don't need to escape everytime.
What was situational about old moris? You got one hook on someone, you instantly kill them the next time they are downed... whereas keys require a certain amount of generators to be done (all five if all four survivors are still alive), or survivors to have already been killed; and to find the hatch to use the key. (Which arguably isn't hard if a hatch offering is used. Still not sure why BHVR ever made those, at least for survivor.)

@Bran said:

are you saying keys are okay because killers don't need to get a 4 man every game? 🤨
They are fine because they are situational - and rare - items. The offerings for the hatch spawns have somewhat changed things though.
-
Keys are fine. Behavior's little hatch offerings they introduced a while back are not.
Keys require a certain amount of generators to be done, and/or teammates to have died. Killers don't always need a 4k every match. Survivors should get to, you know, survive. If you're able to live long enough into a match with a key, and find the hatch: props.
-
And with NOED, Blood Warden, Remember Me, and the about to be buffed No Way Out... what could go wrong?

For me, its a bit annoying to hear someone complaining about a visual detail so small that you can't even see it in the matches.
THE SURVIVORS REWORKS ARE FINE, AS THE NEW ANIMATIONS AND THE MAPS UPDATES.
We need players to feedback and suggest, not complaining about very small things that are insignificant.
If someone has feedback about anything in the game, they are welcome to share it here. Not to mention survivor and killer mains alike almost unanimously agree that all of the map reworks are garbage.
-
That or increase the cast time to something like five seconds, allowing survivors to slowly enter a locker. The old static field was fair because, after tier 1, it showed how much longer until you were going to enter tier 2 and 3 by it. It also passively degraded. Both of these allowed counterplay.
Static Blast now is very hit or miss, usually almost always free detection and madness as you said. Doctor to me is a killer for players who can’t track normally.
